  • Error in starting 11g

    Hello All,
I have tried to install OBIEE 11g on my system. When I install OBIEE 11g on my system, for 1st time it works very fine, I mean all services up, but the moment i restart my system. The problem starts, even though the services are up, i am not able to open anything, not even console manager.
    I got error like:

Next time I uninstall and install back it works fine, but if i restart again the same story.
Please experts if you have any solution to this problem, please help....i have gone through blogs but not a solution is working.

  • Column Formula with Error in OBIEE 11g

    Hello,
On Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g, I am trying to create an analysis. The database is MySQL. In the database, there is a field of type varchar(10). This
field shows a date. In OBIEE 11g, when creating the analysis, in the Criteria tab, I choose this column (varchar) and edit the formula of it. The operation that I want to do is:
YEAR(CURRENT_DATE) - SUBSTRING("TableName"."ColumnName" FROM 1 FOR 4) where the ColumnName is the name of the column of type varchar(10)
but I get an error: +[nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 27002] Near <->: Syntax error [nQSError: 26012]+
If I execute the same query directly on the MySQL database, I get the desired result without any error.
Also, if I use the following formula, I also get an error:
    CAST((SUBSTRING("TableName"."ColumnName" FROM 1 FOR 4)) AS INTEGER)
So, I am asking why the first query throws an error in OBIEE 11g but not when it runs directly on the MySQL database. Also, how can I convert in OBIEE 11g a string to integer?
    Thank you in advance,
    Griselda

    sathyaHi sathya,
It could mean several different things. Do you know if the administrator have shut down the services? If you have access to the server, check to see if all the services are up and running.

  • Spotlight and cmd-F (find) and Tiger Cache Cleaner

OK it's taken me years, but I finally have a Mac with the "classic" applications selection menu (ASM) on the absolute far right - thanks to "ASM" shareware and Tiger Cache Cleaner to remove Spotlight.
But when I re-activate Spotlight, I see that it now has to spend 4 hours recataloging my HD. OK, not a problem, but I wonder if I use cmd-F "FIND" is this going to be much much slower than a cataloged SPOTLIGHT?
    What about EasyFind 3.9?
And with cmd-F (FIND) (like with Spotlight) is there any way (other than cut and paste) to have the Mac WAIT until I've typed all my search letters BEFORE it starts going crazy and searching? I typed "S" and before I got to type "Steve" I had a zillion files that it had found...
OK and any comments on how safe this is to have used Tiger Cache Cleaner to remove Spotlight... appreciate that!
(now how to get rid of the Apple application menu in words and replace that (just to the right of the APPLE menu) with just the application LOGO to save Menu Bar space. I know a HAXIE does that, but Haxies mess-up and slow down my MacBook Intel core duo 2 ghz just tooooo much.
    Thanks!
    Steve

EasyFind works fine. It's slower than Spotlight because it doesn't use an index, but it can find things Spotlight can't.
To eliminate the "live" search behavior of Spotlight, use a third-party Spotlight front-end (there are several on versiontracker.com).

  • Help please! Another Finder Error

    Hi,
The script below is designed to backup files from the source area to the backup area preserving the folder hierarchy. While I’m sure it could be written better, it seems to work until it encounters a particular folder containing a file, when I get the following Finder error shown below. At this point it has already done approximately 60 files in about 10 folders. If I remove the file from the folder the script will continue processing a further 300 files and sub-folders before getting the same error on another folder/file.
Can someone explain what the error means? Any comments or suggestions to improve the script would be welcome.

  • Where to find this section for 11g

The below section is for BPEL Process Manager 10g, I specificly want to look at that section in the below URL.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/invoke.htm
It's about invoking BPEL process using Java. I can't find that section for 11g.
    Can you help me please?
    Thanks

In 11g, you invoke composite instead of invoking a particular component -

  • What happens?. Unable to find error text for this exception

I4m trying to open a workbook and before doing anything it shows me the message "Unable to find error text from this exception", after this, it appears another one "attempt to open workbook failed". Help me to find why i4m not able to open the workbook, which could be the reason.
    Thanks in advance.

I think this has something to do with the folders that
you are using? Have you renamed an old folder and then
recreated another folder as its replacement?

    Hi all,
I am facing the following problem in discoverer ,Please give me your advice.
while I am trying to open the workbook I am getting the following error
"Unable to find error text for this exception"
Could you please tell me how I can find why this warning is come ? or how I can solve this warning.
if I ignore this warning then the workbook is failing to open.
    thanks and regards

    Hi,
Are you getting this problem with the Desktop, Plus or Viewer editions? It could be that the database is generating the exception. You will need to trace the database session to see the error.
