CMS 5 doesn't detect my Zen Microph

I had Creative Media Source 3 and I decided to upgrade it finally. So I upgraded and now I have Creative Media Source 5. It didn't detect my Zen Microphoto so I went to the website and upgraded the firmware on the Zen Microphoto to see if it made any difference. It didn't, and my Zen Microphoto is still undetectable by Creative Media Source 5. Someone know what to do? Help please.

I don't have a system with mediasource on it in front of me at the moment. But bring up mediasource organizer, and look under the menu options. One of the options should be software update or something like that. Run that, when it comes up it should have a list of plugins that can be downloaded and installed for mediasource 5. Select all the plugins from the list, then select install.
Once those are installed, shutdown mediasource and restart it and it should see your device. Mediasource requires specific plugins for different devices to be able to recognize them, and not all the plugins are installed by default.

PC DOESN'T DETECT ZEN MICRO

after I downloaded the latest firmware updates/drivers for my zen micro, my pc doesn't detect my player. i can't view songs via windows explorer, creative interface or windows media player.
i tried uninstalling and then re-installing all of the creative software from cd, but that didn't work.
everything worked before i installed the drivers...

i got my player to work on my pc again... FINALLY. in the device manager, i hit 'update driver' and my player was detected (at least signaled on the player). when i tried to access songs via windows explorer, it then said it wasn't detected and then the icon on the player was gone again.
sooo000, i hit 'update driver' again and again the icon reappeared on the player saying it was docked. while the icon was still there i reinstalled the driver (. ) and replaced the existing driver.
voila!! it works again!!! hopefully this post will help someone else out there. it's a great player and i'm just happy i can use it on my pc.

New firmware but Creative software doesn't detect Zen To

I installed new firmware (a story in itself) but since then creative software doesn't detect my player. It works fine through Real player (but slow) and Media player but I preferred the creative software. I have installed updated software but still the same. Not much joy as yet from Creative and I have tried troubleshooting which involves sync-ing with Windows media but it just froze most of the time and was incredibly slow. After rolling back Media player 0 I re-installed but same thing happened.Anyone have any ideas?

I have had the same problem. I've tried to update the firmware and now thw PC software does nor recognise the zen. Tried everthing and in the process of seding it back to creative. Anyone any ideas. could be cheaper to buy something else that works longer than 4 months.

Windows Vista doesn't detect Zen V P

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. My laptop has Windows Vista on it, but it will not detect my Zen V Plus when I plus it in. My computer at work, which has Windows XP Professional, detects the player just fine.

"Buzzing" noise in Zen MicroPh

I just got an 8GB Zen MicroPhoto. I took it out of the box, loaded up my songs on it and tested it out. Everything seems to be working fine, but I'm getting this buzzing noise whenever I put my headphones in that seems to be affected by my moving up and down through the menu, but is still there even when I am not scrolling. I've tried several headphones and the problem exists in all of them. Is this a known issue?

I now have a new problem. To tried to fix the above issue by going into recovery. I did a clean up, a format, and I reloaded the firmware. When it said reload firmware, I thought it meant "reinstall", but it actually erases it. So no problem, it said I can't update it via USB cable, so I downloaded the firmware from the website. I ran it, but it doesn't detect the player. I've seen many topics about this and there was a solution in one that applied to a different player. The solution was you had to find this one file and run just that one on the install CD, but I couldn't find the file they listed. Does anyone know if such a file exists on my install CD?

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

How can I print from iPad to a Brother printer with a TP-link tl-wps510u connected to it without using a computer? It doesn't detect the printer.

I have a Brother printer that doesn't have wifi, but I bought a Wireless Server Print to connect to it. I want the iPad can print directly to the printer without using a computer, but the iPad doesn't detect the printer. Is that possible?

The Apps usually only work with wireless printers, though if its free, there is no harm in trying, and see if it gets picked up, but its doubtful, as the print server would need to transmit in the same protocol the Brother Print App is expecting from the supported wireless printers.

Creative mediasource organizer not recognizing zen microph

I jusr recently had to restore my laptop to factory settings so I had reinstall creative. But now when I open the mediasource to try to get songs off of my microphoto on onto my laptop, it doesn't show my zen in the little dropdown where it shoes pc library, burn cd and something else. Any ideas what's wrong?

My MacBook Pro 13.3inch (Late 2011) doesn't detect earphones being plugged in after I installed Mountain Lion. If I reboot, it works but after a few unpluggings and more plugins, it doesn't detect them anymore until I reboot. Help please.

This may or may not fix your problem.
Try a NVRAM reset.
Try a SMC reset.
If neither work, you're just going to have to take your unit into your local Apple Store or AASP and see if you've a hardware issue.

Since I downloaded the last version of iTunes my PC doesn't detect any of my devices (ipad, ipod, iphone). Have been connecting my devices to the PC, when opening iTunes there is a legend, with the ipod saying that itunes doesnt detect the device to uninstall itunes and reinstall, have done it twice and the problem is still there. Just bought a new ipad and when I connect it to the PC iTunes doesnt detect it. When connecting my iPhone same thing happens, when I try to export the photos to the PC the folder where the photos are suppossed to be has no photos

If you get to the part where it asks you to uninstall iTunes, even though you have done it before, be sure to uninstall iTunes and the other components in the order listed.

I have got an USB Samsung ML-2010 printer. Before I used cups-usblp from AUR, and it worked. But it doesn't work now. The cups-usblp maintainer suggests to use cups instead of cups-usblp. Searching with google, it appears that other people don't have problems with this printer, cups, and archlinux. But I do. Cups' web interface doesn't detect it.

I open http://localhost:631 in my browser, click "add new printer" and I get just "Serial printer #1"
at "local printers". There isn't my printer. I use KDE, and KDE's tool for adding printers doesn's detect it either.
I miss archlinux, but I need to print.
What may be wrong? What may be I am missing?

Solved!
Restarting cupsd didn't work.
But reinstalling cups...
$ sudo pacman -Rdc cups (it is a dependency of kdeadmin-system-config-printer-kde which I had installed)
$ sudo rm -r /etc/cups/*
I realize cupsd is already running:
$ ps aux | grep cupsd
root 1549 0.0 0.1 75548 4080 ? Ss 21:04 0:00 cupsd -C /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
felipe 1690 0.0 0.0 8416 1028 pts/1 S+ 21:13 0:00 grep cups
I kill it
$ sudo -SIGKILL 1549
$ ps aux | grep cupsd

Ok. Reinstall cups
$ sudo pacman -S cups
Start cups daemon:
$ sudo rc.d start cupsd
Open firefox. Go to web interface, bla, bla, bla.... And it's there!
I feel really silly. It was a fresh install, so I didn't think about reinstalling.
Printed some jobs and worked perfectly. I used the gutenprint driver.

Disc stuck in disc drive but computer doesn't detect disc

I put it in and it's stuck, and I tried a bunch of methods, but the computer doesn't detect the disc and I can't get it out. Help please!!!!

   If you have not tried any of these steps, try it.
   1. Restart the computer and hold the trackpad down.
   2. Launch iTunes and eject from there.
   3. Launch Terminal.
    Applications > Utilities > Terminal
    Type in   drutil eject internal
   Press enter.
