CMS for PI7.0

Hi,
I want to install CMS for PI7.0, I see only CMS guides for XI3.0, could anybody please help me where to get the CMS installation and configuration guides for PI7.0?
Thanks in Advance.....

Lou,
It is same for PI7.0 also. As far as my knowledge goes the only change is you have to download EXCHANGE DIRECTORY CMS 7.0 from service market place. Its path is
https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/swdc
Support Packages and Patches--> SAP NetWeaver >SAP NETWEAVER>SAP NETWEAVER 2004S> Entry by Component> Process Integration (PI/XI)

  • CMS for JSF Web App

    Hello Experts,
I am new to Java Web Development, just moving from PHP, HTML, CSS and JS.
Normally, when I build web apps.. I create a simple CMS using PHP and MySQL for the website. So am wondering if there is a CMS for JSF Web Apps.
I am new, so am open to suggestions and advise.
    Thanks in advance,
    Shina

    There is Flexive. http://www.flexive.org/
But like Java itself, it is aimed more at enterprise solutions and thus is far more complex than your average PHP CMS "solution".

  • Guide me for PI7.1 Certification

    Dear All,
I have been working on PI7.0 from last 3 years now if i need to go for PI7.1 certification can i use help.sap as source or i need get all the Tbits  which are suggested in the certification track.

Please suggest i have material for PI7.0
    Regards
    Vijay

@Hemanth - Are you sure about ADM 100 & ADM 200 ? . Vijay was asking  DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE track.
I am also preparing for PI 7.1 certification and confused about the study material to be used. As per my observation PI 7.1 is few additions & modifications of 7.0.
I do have the study material for PI 7.0.  Are there any newer version of TBIT's (course content) based on PI 7.1 ?
    Any suggestions are welcome.

  • What is the right CMS for FrameMaker 11 and DITA?

    Hello,
I am looking for a good CMS for FrameMaker 11. I already tried componize for Alfresco, but it does not solve our problems. Some important requirements are:
    - comfortable editor which can be easily used by authors without XML/DITA/FrameMaker-knowledge
    - creating DITA-imagemaps (CMS editor)
    - creating DITA-templates without special knowledge or using FrameMaker-templates without problems
In componize it was possible to download DITA-maps and open them in FrameMaker. But I don`t know how to format a whole DITA-map in FrameMaker - is it possible? Because it wouldn´t be very comfortable to format every single topic by using an EDD..
Another idea was to import the whole DITA-map to RoboHelp for formatting, but it didn`t work because of a missing DITA Open Toolkit-Folder? I did download DITA Open Toolkit, but I was not able to install it. Why do I need this for RoboHelp and not for FrameMaker?
And for the templates: is there an easy way to create FrameMaker-DITA-templates? I read a lot about EDDs, R/W-rules and DTDs but it seems to be very complicated for non-experts to create all these different documents. And there are less help documents like demonstration videos to learn it on my own.
For me it seems to be like "before you are able to work with RoboHelp-FrameMaker-Templates-Outputs-CMS, learn a lot of programming languages and become an IT-specialist." - so very complicated, not comfortable, not intuitively.
A lot of questions, maybe some of you have some good ideas and solutions! Thanks

A CMS (content management system) is used for storing, retrieving, and managing files. Some CMS products are specialized for DITA. But they don't usually come with the ability to create and edit maps and topics. For that, you need a DITA editor. FrameMaker is a pretty good DITA editor (especially with the DITA-FMx plugin from Leximation).
DITA maps don't need formatting.  They're simply organized collections of DITA topics. The topics do need formatting in order to deliver outputs.  FrameMaker can format them for print or PDF output, and is exceptionally good for this purpose. It can't directly format DITA for other outputs. For this, FrameMaker and many other products rely on the DITA-OT, which can format DITA for many outputs, such as CHM, Eclipse, or JavaHelp (and also PDF, but without the same power as FrameMaker).
To format the topics for page output, FrameMaker uses an EDD.  All DITA topics are formatted using the same EDD, and Frame does this "behind the scenes"  so you usually don't have to worry about it (although you can make custom adjustments to the EDD if you want).
If you are using DITA, it's a good idea to install the DITA-OT and get it working with other products. There's a Yahoo group called dita-users where you can get help with this.
As an alternative to the DITA-OT, you might want to look at DITA2Go or DITA4Publishers.

  • CMS for Blog

I'm familiar with how to create a CMS for a Blog, but I'm not sure how to go about creating the ability to archive pages. Can someone give me a clue?
    Thanks!

Nothing guys? Layout, type, loading, this works/this dosent?

  • CMS for non-CMS HTML sites

There are lots of nice, attractive HTML templates out there for purchase that can deployed quickly for sites such as restaurants, cafes and the like. While I usually use Joomla and Wordpress exclusively, I wouldn't mind using some of these simple HTML templates simply because there are a lot of them and that gives me more choices. Moreover, they usually come as responsive templates nowadays so you get to charge the client for that without having to install an extension to create a mobile site (even though that's not really more than a five-minute operation).
Since I always market my sites by offering both a Content Managment System and a Responsive Design, I don't want to put myself in a box by having to use Joomla and Wordpress when I could just as easily install a little CMS for basic editing of text and images.
In the past I have always found security to be an issue with these budget CMS, so this would have to be resolved before I would be willing to use one.

  • Adding CMS for Promotion Manager

We are on BOE version 4.0 SP5 Patch 5. I am trying to locate instructions how to add new CMS so we can connect and promote objects from one system to another using 'Promotion Management' on CMC. By default only current CMS can be selected.
We have the systems - Dev, QA and Prod. We needed to reinstall Dev from scratch. After reinstall we cannot connect and pull content from other system
I searched for instructions but I could not find specific ones for SP5.

You don't need to add CMS for promoting objects from one environment to another.Only when youa re using override settings, you have to CMS systems.
Create a job, while creating a job, it will ask for source and destination systems locations. and then add the objects you want to promote.
Check if all the systems are same domain.

  • Error when trying to access CMS for Catalyst 2940

    Hi,
I have been using the web CMS to administer our Catalyst 2940 until yesterday when it suddenly did not work. The following error message appeared when trying to start the CMS:
    "AppletParameters property not found"
Bearing in mind the following were done in the past 4 days:
    - upgrade Symantec Antivirus Corp Edn from 9 to 10
    - install security patches for WinXP (yesterday)
I set out to try and see if I can find the culprit:
    - disabled Windows Firewall -> still same problem
    - tested across 3 machines running WinXP SP2 with latest security patch installations -> all exhibit the same problem (one of the machine has never had the CMS plugin installed before)
    - tested 1 machine with WinXP SP1 (fresh CMS Plugin install) -> works
    - tested 1 machine with Win2K SP4 (fresh CMS Plugin install) -> works
    - removed security patches 1 by 1 from one of the WinXP SP2 machines -> still same problem
    - tried to activate restore point on this same WinXP SP2 machine -> failed to restore (I think becos all the security patches had been removed by then)
    - did not remove Symantec Antivirus Corp Edn as both the WinXP SP2 machines and Win2K SP4 machine have that installed (and only the WinXP SP2 machines have the problem)
The most likely conclusion here is that WinXP SP2 security patches caused the problems but I can't explain why didn't the CMS load even after I removed all the WinXP SP2 security patches.
    Help!!
    Cheers!
    Edmund

Problem solved. Disabling Symantec AntiVirus's Auto-Protect allows the CMS to load properly.

  • CMS for Dreamweaver and PHP with MySQL

    Hello
I am at a medium level with Dreamweaver MX and 8. I have
created a dynamic website running PHP and MySQL. The site sells
luxury yachts (resales). What I need is a simple, not too custom
code heavy content management system to allow the client to update
dynamic text areas and upload images via a web browser (IE7 PC).
The site needs the ability to input new boats, and delete sold
boats (flush out the database items).
Has anyone got a recommendation for some CMS software,
preferably Mac OSX PPC and running on a server under linux.
I don't mind buying it, in fact rather do that than risk
    shareware going forward.

I have the exact same need. Looks like nobody had any
suggestions for the original poster. Perhaps someone can make a
recommendation this time? I too am looking for a commercial
    product, rather than open-source.

  • Third party CMS for SAP LSO

    Hello all,
In the master guide for the ERP2005 it says that a Content Management system is required for the Learning Solution. We are planning to set up SAP LSO with a third party Content Management System. What is the minimum requirement for a third party CMS and is there any experience
with Micorsoft Office Sharepoint Service 2007 (MOSS2007) or IBM Content Management?
MOSS2007 seems to only support a subset of WebDAV
    funcionality.

    Hi,
I hope links like this are allowed with the new SDN rules. We use something called [Click Stream|http://www.sweetlets.com/click_stream.html].
Quite nifty little tool and not even expensive.

  • CMS for Dreamweaver designed site

HI, I designed an 8 page website for a friend with dreamweaver cs3 and he would like to access the pages himself to make text changes from his own PC.
Is there a CMS that he can download and use to change text and images on a website desinged with CS3, I see from other discussions Webassist and Cushycms mentioned, but are they suitable for CS3 designs.
    Thank you

This should have been discussed & in your contract well BEFORE you began buiding the site.  It costs more and requires extra coding to make a CMS site.  I hope you plan to bill for all the extra work involved.
#1 find out if your client's server supports PHP & MySql.  This will be required for just about any CMS you decide to use.
#2 The CMS you choose will depend on 4 things:
         a) your coding skills,
         b) client's  requirements,
         c) your server's programming languages,
         d) project budget.

  • I am looking for a CMS for FM structured 11, is there any recommendation? Does Adobe Creative Cloud work as one CMS platform?

My requirement is quite basic and common. I am looing for a CMS to manage the books, fm files, dita files, pictures and glossaries and the publication, is there any recommendation? The cheaper the better.
BTW, I received the advertisement from Adobe for its Creative Cloud, can this work as a CMS? Anyone using it?

My team need a CMS to end our off-line development. Could you kindly give me some advice on that, including technical approach and cost? Thank you.
We are a user manual developing team in China mainland, using FM 11 structured mode. We had had an CMS platform called XDOC, but because of a company acquisition, we no longer has it. So we extracted the customized structured fm files offline to continue our local development. But now team getting bigger, so I wander if there is any better choice. (I am not sure if XDOC is the best choice. It might be too big too expensive for us.)
    Here is our requirement:
    1. Mutual share of our working files, checkout and checkin management (or directly online development);
    2. Abbreviation and glossery management. We need to manage a glossery bank in the platform and when we type the term in the fm file, the glossery will automatically pop-up for choice, or sth. like this;
    3. Format integration. If the platform can integrate and solidate our format online so that we no longer need to arrange the format offline it would be a plus.
    4. Publication management. If the platform can publish our output (e.g., PDF) online, it would be a plus.
That's all, thank you in advance!!!!!

  • Best cms for small news website?

    hello,
i am building  a small news site mainly using fireworks and dreamweaver. it will be loosly based on this layout: www.telegraph.co.uk
i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with content management systems and if so, what one would suggest i use for small news project?
after a bit of research i am leaning towards wordpress but then one came up called modx which is suppossed to be really easy to to use?
    any thoughts?
    many thanks.

CMSs come small & large.  The right one for your project depends on several factors:
    a) your coding skills
    b) what type of server-side programming and databases you can use
    c) projected size of site
    d) feature requirements
    e) budget

  • Whats a GOOD (free) cms for os x?

    hello
i dev sites, i write from the bottom up code, html, css, JS. i dont use any apps such as dreamweaver or whatever. i know what im doing, i even get paid for it, i can look at code like most can read a book.
however, maintenance at sites via staright code gets a little old. i was thinking that some kinda good CMS app that does NOT lob in extrneous code would be cool, mostly just text or link changes in html, occasional cms changes. it would great to be able to see the framework of a page but not completely necc.
i did find cssedit, for css (really?), have not taken it for a test drive yet, it looks good, something similar for htm AND or JS would be great.
    thanks
    best
    harold of cardboard
    anyone have any suggestions?

If you are looking for a fantastic, inexpensive, lightweight code editor:
    Coda: http://www.panic.com/coda/
If you are looking for a "CMS" which means software that runs on your web server to give you a web browser based administration panel for the site to edit templates and content, then dynamically blends that data with presentation for the front end of the site, and you want one that runs on an an OS X server, consider:
    Textpattern: http://www.textpattern.com/ (free)
    ExpressionEngine: http://expressionengine.com/ (commercial)
I've been hand coding HTML since Mosaic in 1993. I've licensed Dreamweaver all along, but it's very heavy. I like Coda for fast simple hand management of open source sites where I don't need a full IDE.

  • I need Firefox 5 but can't find that download anywhere. Firefox 6 is not compatible with the CMS for our church website.

Our online church management software is compatible with Firefox 5 but not Firefox 6. I just got a new laptop and downloaded Firefox 6. When I found out it didn't work with 6 I found a download for 3.6. Now I'm getting messages from other sites (Quickbooks online) that they won't support 3.6 much longer and I need to upgrade to Firefox 5 or higher. So I have to go up to 5 but below 6. so getting a copy of Firefox 5 is my only option. Please send me a link to download Firefox 5.

There are parts of the CMS that don't work with Firefox 6. They do in IE and Chrome but I much prefer Firefox. Until they get their CMS updated to work with version 6, I need to go back to 5. And I can't undo the upgrade because I have a new laptop and the only options to load were Firefox 6 or Firefox 3.6
