Is it possible to have in CMS two tracks for the same SOFTWARE Component name but with different versions?

But we have got an error when we would like to create new track for new version. Maybe it's due to wrong configuration.
Error message: "software component is already part of the track configuration"

CMS system remote connection going LIVE question

Hi,
we are starting CMS functionality in our SD module. CMS (Credit Management System) works remotely by an XI connection. When we switch to use CMS in production system, we have to transfer all opened orders (not yet invoiced) to CMS system.
How can we achieve it? Can program RFDKLI20 (t-code F.28) be used for this purpose? Does it require any settings to point out the CMS connection?

The CMS system database is not available (FWM 02088)

Hi all,
After installation of BOE 3.1 the system fires back the error message on attempt to logon to CMS:
Account Information Not Recognized: The CMS system database is not available. This error cannot be rectified by the end user. Report this error to your system administrator or database administrator. (FWM 02088)
Any inputs? I've tried with new SIA as well as fresh installation but the issue persists.

were you able to see any DB error messages in event log ?
can you connect to your DB from the server itself ? (could be FW issue)
What do you see under the CCM ? Do the SIA is in green state ?
For me it is probably one of 2 things : FW issue (but install will have failed) or DB issue

Hi,
There is no such way that i'm aware of. You need to specify your Source and Destination system.
You can at best go to Admin Options > Manage Systems and give your CMS a different display name.

Need some help after inserting CMS system

Hi on my site ive inserted an CMS system from Cushy. It all work that isnt the problem. The problem is that my page is a mess now.. The only thing ive addes is a cms code so im hoping the solution isnt hard to do.
There are three pages that are complete changed.

Unable to create a first Domain in JDI CMS system

Hello All,
I have installed JDI and configured SLD and everything seems to be working properly. However, when I go into the CMS service (http://localhost:devinf) and try to create a domain it tells me I am creatinga customer domain and will not be able to transport out of it (OK, Fine), I click save and get a message that says only "unable to process request, please see system administrator".
I have one host serving as the SLD and name server. I am running a J2ee add in system with ABAP as persitence layer. My SLD is set to use Database as persistence layer. I tried changing it to ABAP and trying again but that did not fix it. I have created all users according to plan (CMSadm) and given him all the rights therein.
I have configred the name server in DTR as well, still no luck, still get the message when trying to create a domain in CMS for the first time.
Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?

Actually this is not the right place for your question,please look in to Java Development infrastructure Forum.However i will answer your query.
System admin has to create domain(Three letter word)
if you check this url http://<server>:port/devinf as you mentioned you will get DTR,CBS and CMS.With cmsadm user you can create track before that you have to creta Software component.
if you post what, message you are getting it helps us to answer.

DI Metadata Integrator install on non-CMS system

Our Data Integrator systems do not run a CMS. We have separate CMS application servers that do. We are trying to install DI Metadata Integrator on the DI systems. However the jobs listed in the CMS do not run. Is install of Metadata Integrator on a nonCMS system supported?

CMS System to create a page on the server

Hi all,
I am looking for a way for ColdFusion to create and save an
html (or cfml) page generated by a user entering text into a form
field on an html template page and submitting the text.
I am looking to build an email system to allow the client to
create email mailshots and to provide a link to an online html page
if the email does not display correctly.
I have built the aspect of it whereby the user can send the
email, I just need the content of that email to be saved as an html
page with todays date as the filename on the server.
Any suggestions appreciated.

What is the best way to add i18n to an existing custom CMS system (build with C#)?

I am currently responsible for an existing CMS, built a few years ago with C# .Net and a few clients are requesting to have their website
in Spanish. The websites are pre-populated with pages from a library and currently the application has no support for i18n. What is the quickest way to allow the client to have his website in Spanish? And what is the best way to allow any language?
I understand those are two different answers, but I want to plan for future and at the same time provide a quick solution to please the clients.

CREDIT MANAGEMENT
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or somewhere in between.
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored. This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level. You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for Financial Accounting. The implementation guide is under Enterprise Structure -> Definition or Assignment -> Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit limits in the customer master record.
Settings for determining the credit control area of a document. The settings of items 1 - 4 are taken into account according to their priority. The credit control area found is stored in field VBAK-KKBER.

Connections to CMS/AUDIT system Databases lost

we are often losing connection to CMS/AUDIT system Databases therefore
users can not log into Infoview.
The work around is to restart the Server Intelligence Agent (sia.exe)
Server Details: we have BusObjects Edge standard XI 3.0
Application Server: MS Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2

There are multiple errors in our event viewer showing these errors.
They have been happening for the last week.
Not sure why this is happening or how to reproduce anyone know how to fix?

Cause
The error occurs because Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) implement a security feature that the queue for concurrent TCP/IP connections to the server. This feature helps prevent denial of service attacks.

Error in Pre-Prod System

Hi Epxerts,
In our project we are using CMS system for transporting purpose.
But as it is a 3-tier system we are using it only for DEV(DXG),Quality(QXG),Prod(PXG) and we are using file system transports for transporting into Pre-Prod(AXG) system.
The flow is like DXG>QXG>AXG-->PXG.
By uisng CMS we transported the DEV objects into QXG and by using file system tranport method the same DEV objects have been transported to AXG system from DXG system.
Please let me know if I'm right here i.e., transpoting from DXG to AXG (or) should I do it from QXG to AXG.
After importing into AXG we are getting the following error in the "cache notifications" option of Environment Menu and also in the communication channel in the Adapter Engine Coloumn nothing is being displayed ((but usually "Integration Server" will be displayed in this coloumn)).
Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory at this time. Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server>

Open the Exchange Profile and change all parameters that ends
in *.name to FQDN, and don't forget to restart the system to activate
the changes.

SQL Server Error when tryingt to install the CMS DB on SQL Server 2005 x64

I am trying to install BOEXI R3 on w2k3 64-bit OS in a SQL Server 2005 x64 database, I am currently at the installation step where i Specify an exisiting CMS database. I created a System DSN and tested it, and it was successful. So when I got to the screen where I select my datasource I had to check use trusted connection because the datasource would not show up when Use DSN created by WOW64 option was checked. From there I could select the database I created. Oh yeah, I also made the application server local system account part of my DB admins group so it has full access to the database yet when I click next to connect I get a CMS Database Error: STU000226. here is what I have in my log:

How do I get past this?

The workaround was, I installed the SQL Server Client tools and created a System DataSource and then had to create a user DataSource (it is a quirk in the installer I guess) to get past this point in the installation. Now I have an even bigger problem. Everything but the CMS installed and the installer hung at the "Configuring the CMS" part. The installation finished but when I tried to log into the Central managment console I got this error:
Error: Server GSD-RRPT-RDC:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
I looked at the forums for the cause of this error and came to the conclusion that BOEXI does not support an installation on SQL Server 2005 when using Integrated Authentication to the SQL Server. See the engineers here disabled SQL Authentication for the SQL Server and will not allow it.
Is this true? Or is there a workaround to install the CMS using Integrated Authentication in the DataSource ?
