CMSDK Installation

Hi,
I have installed Oracle 10g, Oracle application server 10g. After that, when I install Oracle CMSDK , I am getting an error " Oracle Content Management SDK 9.0.4.2 requires Oracle Application server 10g (10.1.2)", eventhough I have already installed the Oracle application server. So, what should be done to fix this problem.
We are installing on a linux platform.

What it is referring to it that if you installed CMSDK 9.0.4.2, then you use Application Server 10.1.2.0.0 and if you installed CMSDK 9.0.4.2.2, then you use Application Server 10.1.2.0.2. One way to keep track of what goes with what is to see the version of the CMSDK that shipped witht he Application Server. Another is to look in the installation guide for the CMSDK.

  • Process for migrating CMSDK from one server to another

    All:
    We are in the process of migrating our CMSDK installation and database from one server to another. In doing so, we would like to retain our documents and folders and other custom objects that have been created till date. If there is a recommended migration process that you could point us to, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Our initial thought is to:
    1. Install the CMSDK server on the target server machine
    2. Export source CMSDK schema from source database server
    3. Import source CMSDK schema into target database server
    Are we on the right track? If so, are there any pitfalls and issues we can expect to encounter. Any information will be very helpful.
    Thanks

    The utility should help you a lot. The best documentation on how to use the utility is in the 9iFS Setup and Administrators guide (doc number A95995-01) Chapter 8. It pretty much works the same way then as it does now. These are two metalink notes on doing the export/import silently (29928.1 - 177816.1). Doing it silently is very tedious since you having to create numerous .def files and other scripts to run them.
    I will look around for any other stuff I have, but the 9iFS document is very good as a reference no matter what version of CMSDK. If you have problems finding it, I can try to send it to you, but it is around 5.6M.

  • Installing Oracle Content Managemant SDK

    Hello All,
    I would like to know if we can install and configure Oracle Database 10g Release 1 (10.1.0.2) and Oracle Content Management SDK on the same machine. If so what are the step to be followed. And if not what should i be doing.
    Please do guide me on this topic.
    Thanks

    Yes they all can be installed on the same machine,
    By all I mean oracle database 10g, application server 10g and cmsdk 10g.
    You have to install them in that order and for AS10g just install the J2EE and HTTP server.
    See Oracle CMSDK installation docs at oracle website for more.

  • CMSDK workflow installation

    I am installing workflow from the 10g CMSDK CDs into a 10g J2ee and Webcache AS in Linux RedHat 3.
    But i am getting the problems with the Oracle XML loader although I am specifying the jdbcconnnode parameter in the host:port:sid format in wfinstall.csh.
    ie /jdbcconnnode aserv.sg.oracle.com:1521:oradb
    the log shows that i am not able to log in using [email protected]:1521:oradb--UTF8.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    I posted this same request under another topic:
    Greetings,
    Has anyone had any trouble getting the Oracle Workflow Configuration Assistant from the CMSDK to actually work? We constantly get either the ORA-12545 (mostly) or the ORA-12154 errors in attempting to set the DB connect params. We had no such problems months ago when we setup Oracle Workflow from the 9i installs. We have tried every possible TNS/SID combo as well as various environment vars combos as well but still no go.
    We have installed both the 10g DB (/opt/oradb10g/product/10.1.0/db_1) and 10g AS J2EE and Web Cache (/opt/oraas10g) on Solaris9 on a Blade 100. Also, I've read in other posts that say you can install Oracle Workflow without the App Server but the CMSDK install seems to want to install into an AS home. Is there something we're missing?
    Any pointers would be very helpful to our sanity at this point.
    cheers,
    tim

  • Oracle Workflow 2.6.3 Installation

    Hi,
    On a Redhat Linux server 3, I have installed Oracle 10g Infrastructure and Middle Tier. I have also a 10g Databse installed on this machine. I want to install Oracle Workflow 2.6.3.
    I used the Contnet Management SDK 10g(9.0.4.0) CD and run the installer. AS mentioned in Oracle Note:265554.1, stopped the installation up on the Workflow Configuration Assitant. Then changed the wfinstall.csh file as mentioned in the note. Then executed the wfinstall.csh from command prompt. This invokes a GUI which ask for few parameters.
    I would appreciate if you help me in filling this parameters.
    1. What is that Sys password? Is it the password for Infrastructure databse or that of the 10g database.
    I tried with infrastructure password and connection details. This installtion hangs at the following.
    WorkflowCA: /opt/oracle/product/904_portal/bin/sqlplus OWF_MGR/<WFCA WF
    PASSWORD> @/opt/oracle/product/904_portal/wf/sql/wfcorec.sql OWF_MGR <WFCA WF
    PASSWORD>
    When I tried with 10g database, it is not connecting. It shows sys connect failure error.
    I am able to connect to both infrastructure and 10g database from Sqlplus locally and using Jdeveloper from remote machines.
    All the web urls (EM/PORTAL) are working.
    Also on general ,
    1. Can the workflow 2.6.3 installed to the on the 10g Portal database? Does it require a seperate database? Can this database co-exist in the same Server?
    Please help with your suggestions.

    Vinod,
    The SYS password is the SYS password of the database into which you wish to install the workflow server.
    I would recommend you connect to SYS to the database separately to test the connection- sqlplus sys/&lt;syspwd&gt;@&lt;db&gt; as sysdba
    Also, what install are you trying to use? Just workflow or 10gAS and workflow ?
    if you are just looking for oracle workflow 2.6.3 to be installed on a 10g database without any 10gAS, you can use the workflow server shipped with the 10g database.
    If you are using workflow shipped with the 10gAS, you are on the right track- install workflow from the CMSDK cd onto any database of you choice.
    Hope this helps...

  • Installing CMSDK on RH ES3.4 for AMD 64-bit

    I've installed the database (works great) and the J2EE Application Server 10.1.2 (in 32-bit emulation mode) but the CMSDK 9.0.4.2 that comes with 10.1.2 rejects the CTX found in the 10.0.1.3 AMD-64bit database and if I continue on by telling the installer to not connect to CTX it fails with an Exception while performing task 'CreatePropertyBundle'.
    I'm falling back to ES3.3 (32-bit mode) and retrying that (I know that it works on P4s); but I'd be interested in sharing thoughts with anyone who has tried to install CMSDK on an AMD 64 machine.

  • Which DB version to use for Oracle CMSDK

    Hi ,
    We are planning to upgrade our iFS 9.0.1 instance to CMSDK.The current configuration has
    1) iFS 9.0.1
    2) DB 9.0.1.1
    I'm wondering which is the best configuration for the upgrade.
    CMSDK(9.0.3)
    With
    1) 9.0.1 DB
    2) 9.2
    3) 9.2.0.3
    We tried 9.2 since it has significant bug fixes ,but we can't do late binding context search with this configuration due to bug. Has anyone tried the CMSDK with 9.2.0.3 Version.
    Looking forward for your replies.
    Thanks
    Rajesh Basawa

    Please read the installation guide for details:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/A96699_01/toc.htm
    It states that you may use Oracle Database version 9.0.1 or above, so I would say that you may use any of the 3 versions you suggest. The later version the better, so I would recommend 9.2.0.3.
    Just make sure you follow the installation guide and ensure that all database, hardware, and operating system requirements are met.

  • CMSDK / iFS 9.0.3

    Under iFS version 1.1.x I was told that Oracle does not support more than one iFS schema per Oracle instance. Does this still hold true for CMSDK / iFS 9.0.3? We have a user written application that interacts with the iFS API/schema. We DO NOT use any of the iFS provided protocol servers. We do however run the IfsAgents Server for each iFS schema to maintain / garbage collect in each environment. Will CMSDK / iFS 9.0.3 allow more than one IfsAgent process on a server? I basically want one set of agents per CMSDK/iFS schema installed in one single instance on one server. Does this make sense? Is it possible to do this with the new version of iFS?

    Here are the detailed instructions on how to do it. I hope this will work for you:
    Setting up multiple CM SDK domains on one host
    Introduction
    ============
    The Oracle Content Management SDK (CM SDK) is released as a component of the Oracle 9iAS product suite. Upon installation users can configure the product for use. This by default includes the creation of one CM SDK domain (aka instance) and associated entities. Each of these domains includes a Domain Controller, one set of the CM SDK agents, one or more CM SDK nodes (residing on separate hosts), and one or more CM SDK HTTP nodes (residing on separate hosts).
    It is also possible to configure multiple domains on a single middle-tier host. Each such domain would include one CM SDK node, one HTTP node, a Domain controller and a set of agents. There is only one installation of the CM SDK product, in effect only one set of binaries. The configuration process will permit multiple domains to use the same software. This document outlines the process setup such a configuration.
    A. Installation
    ===============
    Install Oracle iAS 9.0.2 or 9.0.2.0.1 on your machine. The J2EE (Core) option would suffice.
    Install Oracle CM SDK 9.0.3 into your <oracle_home>. After installation is complete, your directory structure will look like this -
    <oracle_home>
    ifs
    cmsdk
    bin
    lib
    j2ee
    OC4J_iFS_cmsdk
    applications
    cmsdk
    cmsdk
    applications-deployments
    config
    B. Configuration
    ================
    Creating the First Domain
    The CM SDK Configuration Assistant will automatically start when iFS is installed. Follow the instructions in the CM SDK Installation Guide to complete your configuration process. You can also choose to run the Configuration Assistant later. This is done by using the script ifsca in the <oracle_home>/cmsdk/bin directory.
    Be sure to choose to create a domain. Call this first domain "DOMAIN1".
    Have all the following selected:
    Run Domain Controller
    Run HTTP Node
    Run Node
    Your first domain is now ready.
    Creating a Second Domain
    Run the CM SDK Configuration Assistant. Again create a domain with the same options, but call this second domain "DOMAIN2".
    Be sure to give different port numbers for protocols you wish to use.
    Disable these protocols on your second domain if they are enabled on the first:
    SMB
    AFP
    E-Mail protocols (IMAP/SMTP)
    The configuration will not work as before. It will prompt you with the following dialog:
    There already exists an OC4J instance for another HTTP Node configured on this machine. Do you wish to replace that instance? Click "Yes" to replace the instance. Click "No" to leave the instance untouched and not create any instance for this new HTTP Node.
    Click "No". This second OC4J instance must be set up manually.
    You now have two iFS domains configured within the same <oracle_home>. You may now use "ifsctl" to start and stop each independently. An HTTP Node exists for DOMAIN1, but not for the DOMAIN2; this must now be manually configured to work.
    C. Setting Up Your Second OC4J Instance
    =======================================
    In order to create your second OC4J instance, you must first prepare a new EAR (Enterprise Application Resource) for use.
    Preparing an EAR file for Second OC4J Instance
    Create a temporary directory for use. Assign it to an environment variable $IFSTMP.
    Copy the <oracle_home>/ifs/cmsdk/lib/cmsdk.ear file into $IFSTMP.
    Go into $IFSTMP. Uncompress the EAR file. Use the following command:
    jar xvf cmsdk.ear
    Edit the application.xml file located in $IFSTMP/META-INF directory. You will see the following contents in the file:
    <application>
    <description>Oracle ifs Administration</description>
    <display-name>Oracle ifs Administration<display-name>
    <module>
    <web>
    <web-uri>cmsdk.war</web-uri>
    <context-root>/cmsdk</context-root>
    </web>
    </module>
    </application>
    Replace the term "cmsdk.war" with "domain2.war" and "cmsdk" with "domain2" (above). "domain2" is now the new name of your second OC4J instance.
    Go into $IFSTMP. Rename the cmsdk.war file to "domain2.war". Now use the following command to jar it all up (NOTE: The JAR process will ignore the $IFSTMP/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file which is O.K.)
    jar cvf domain2.ear
    You now have a EAR file which you can use for deployment.
    Deploying EAR file
    ==================
    Now open a web browser and connect to the iAS Enterprise Manager Console. You must open your browser on the machine where you put your new EAR file.
    Under the "System Components" section, choose "Create OC4J Instance".
    You will be prompted for a new name for your chosen OC4J Instance. Enter "OC4J_iFS_domain2". After the instance has been created, select "OK" and return to the main EMD page.
    You will now see your newly created OC4J instance listed. Click on it.
    You will now see information about your OC4J instance. Under the "Applications" section, click on "Deploy EAR File".
    You will now be presented with a Deploy Application wizard. Read and click through to "Step 2" of the wizard.
    You will now need to name and deploy your EAR file. In the text box "J2EE Application", indicate the path to your modified EAR file from the "Preparing And Deploying Second Instance for OC4J" section. You will find your domain2.ear in $IFSTMP. You can also click the "Browse..." button to find it.
    For the text box marked "Application Name" enter "domain2".
    For the rest of the Deployment Wizard steps. You can simply click "Next" and accept all the defaults. After "Step 8", click "Deploy".
    You should have the following setup:
    OC4J Instance Name Domain Name Application Name EAR
    OC4J_iFS_cmsdk domain1 cmsdk cmsdk.ear
    OC4J_iFS_domain2 domain2 domain2 domain2.ear
    You now have a second OC4J instance of CM SDK recognized by the iAS Enterprise Manager Console. It does not work yet. You must now manually prepare your new OC4J instance.
    Your directory structure now looks like
    <oracle_home>
    ifs
    cmsdk
    bin
    lib
    j2ee
    OC4J_iFS_cmsdk
    applications
    cmsdk
    cmsdk
    applications-deployments
    config
    OC4J_iFS_domain2
    applications
    domain2
    domain2
    applications-deployments
    config
    Setting Up OC4J Configuration Files for Your Second Instance
    First make a backup copy, then modify the file <oracle_home>/opmn/conf/opmn.xml. Look for a section that looks something like this
    <oc4j maxRetry="3" instanceName="OC4J_ifs_cmsdk" gid="OC4J_iFS_cmsdk" numProcs="1">
    <config-file path="/iashome/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk/config/server.xml"/>
    <java-option value="-Xmx256m "/>
    <oc4j-option value="-properties"/>
    <port ajp="3001-3100" jms="3201-3300" rmi="3101-3200"/>
    <environment>
    <prop name="LIBPATH" value="/iashome/lib32:/iashome/lib"/>
    <prop name="DISPLAY" value=":0.0"/>
    <prop name="NLS_LANG" value=".UTF8"/>
    <prop name="LD_LIBRARY_PATH" value="/iashome/lib32:/iashome/lib"/>
    <prop name="SHLIB_PATH" value="/iashome/lib32:/iashome/lib"/>
    </environment>
    Look for the section where instanceName="OC4J_iFS_domain2". It looks like this:
    <oc4j instanceName="OC4J_iFS_domain2" gid="OC4J_iFS_domain2">
    <config-file path="/iashome/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/config/server.xml"/>
    Now copy the first <environment> section into the section for your second OC4J instance.
    Make a backup copy, then modify the file <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/config/application.xml. Comment out the following sections:
    <library path="../../../jlib/uix2.jar" />
    <library path="../../../jlib/share.jar" />
    Copy the file <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk/config/oc4j.properties to the directory <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/config/. Make a backup copy, then edit your new copy of the file. It will look something like this:
    java.awt.headless=true
    IFS.DOMAIN.Name=ifs://mydbserver:1521:orcl8:DOMAIN1
    IFS.DOMAIN.NODE.Name=myappserver.oracle.com HTTP Node
    IFS.DOMAIN.NODE.OracleHome=/iashome
    replace the domain name DOMAIN1 with DOMAIN2.
    Make a backup, then edit the file <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/applications/domain2/domain2/index.html.
    change all instances of "cmsdk" to "domain2"
    Edit the file <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/config/default-web-site.xml. Look for the following section:
    <default-web-app application="default" name="defaultWebApp" root="/j2ee"/>
    <web-app application="default" name="dms" root="/dmsoc4j"/>
    <web-app application="domain2" name="domain2" root="/domain2" load-on-startup="true"/>
    Add the last line to that section.
    Copy the file <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk/application-deployments/cmsdk/cmsdk/orion-web.xml into the directory <oracle_home>/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_domain2/application-deployments/domain2/domain2. Make a backup copy of the file if it already exists in the destination directory.
    Log into the Enterprise Manager Console. Under the "System Components" section, click on your second domain (myserver:1521:myservice:DOMAIN2) to set that up. Under "Configuration" click "Server Configurations".
    Then click on HttpAdminServerConfiguration. Under the Properties, modify the following properties with these values
    IFS.SERVER.APPLICATION.UIX.ApplicationServletMount /domain2/admin
    IFS.SERVER.APPLICATION.UIX.ContentServletMount /domain2/content
    IFS.SERVER.APPLICATION.UIX.StaticResourcesMount /domain2/static
    Save the above properties. Now, you have to change certain properties in the DavServerConfiguration. From the above UI, cliek on the DavServerConfiguration and click Properties. Modify the following property to have the value shown below:
    IFS.SERVER.PROTOCOL.DAV.ContextServletPath /domain2/content
    Save and exit out of EMD.
    Restart EMD, iAS & iFS (both domains). At this point both the domains should be up and running.
    If you are able to access the following URLs and use them, then your multi iFS domain has worked correctly.
    EMD
    http://<server-name>:1810
    Domain 1
    Content Servlet - http://<server-name>:<port-number>/cmsdk/content
    Admin Servlet - http://<server-name>:<port-number>/cmsdk/admin
    Domain 2
    Content Servlet - http://<server-name>:<port-number>/domain2/content
    Admin Servlet - http://<server-name>:<port-number>/domain2/admin
    You should also be able to see the logs of two different machines domains, nodes under directory $ORACLE_HOME/ifs/cmsdk/log.

  • Anyone Get bfile aging to work?? (cmsdk / 9.0.3)

    Subject says it all.
    I think I've turned it on. As in baseball: no hits, no runs, one man left. I can't find any log entries about it. If it is running - it isn't doing anything. Anyone know the definitions of:
    IFS.SERVER.AGENT.CONTENTAGENT.MaxFoldersPerActivationPeriod
    IFS.SERVER.AGENT.CONTENTAGENT.RetentionPeriod
    IFS.SERVER.Class
    IFS.SERVER.SESSION.User
    IFS.SERVER.TIMER.ActivationPeriod

    I've RTFM to the point of being blue in the face - please post a pointer in the docs if you have found this. Sheesh, I wish CMSDK had good, thorough documentation.

    1) Export your project to a mdl file using the OWB 9.0.3 client.
    2)Use the "OWB MDL File upgrade utility" which you will find in your 904 installation
    3) Create a new repository for OWB904, and import the upgraded mdl file.
    As far as I know there is no utility that can upgrade the repository directly.

  • CMSDK import/export utility

    Can the 9i CMSDK import/export utility be used to export the content of the an iFS 1.1.6 schema to subsequently import into a 9i database? Once imported into the 9i database, then migrate/upgrade the 9i iFS schema to CMSDK 9 for testing purposes?

    Thank you for your advice Luis.
    What I really need to be able to do is keep my iFS 1.1.6/RDBMS8.1.7.4 development environment intact, while creating a CMSDK/Oracle9i environment for regression testing. I have multiple iFS schemas (6) in our 8.1.7.4 dev database (source). And, what I would like to do is copy one of the iFS environments (including Metadata) out of source and move it into the CMSKD/Oracle9i environment(target). Both environments need to remain accessible, and the source environment needs to remain at version iFS1.1.6 / 8.1.7.4 for regression testing.
    Here's a list of actions that I have taken:
    1. install oracle9i rdbms software.
    2. create 9i database from scratch.
    3. install 9iAS software
    4. install CMSDK software in 9iAS root.
    5. export one iFS schema out of the dev source database. (Using the plain RDBMS export utility)
    6. import this schema into the newly created Oracle9i database.
    7. Run CMSDK configuration tool to upgrade the imported iFS 1.1.6 schema. <== FAILED HERE!!!!
    I run into a problem at the start of the upgrade, when using the configuration tool. It complains that the credential manager username IFSSYS$CM does not exist and fails. So, I simply created a user called IFSSYS$CM in the 9i target database to see if this would allow the configuration tool upgrade process to progress and the result was another error of "Insufficient Privileges". How can manually set a the crediential manager so that the imported iFS schema can be upgraded successfully?
    I realize that be doing an in-place upgrade of my entire Oracle 8i source database. I will be able to migrate both the RDBMS and iFS using the installation/configuration tools.
    If there is a limitation of not being able to copy (credential manager metadata) an iFS 1.1.6 schema out of the source and into a target database, and then upgrading/migrating the schema to CMSDK/Oracle9i. Then I may be forced into cloning my entire development instance (giving it a different name) and then doing in-place migration of the entire cloned database (all 6 iFS schemas). Our source dev database is 18G and includes much more (probably garbage data) than will be needed for our regression testing. My hope was to take only a subset of the 18G (1 of the 6 iFS schemas) and move it into CMSDK/Oracle9i to perform the testing. We are very low on available disk space and taking only a subset would be a more efficient use.
    I have even attempted to use the CMSDK export utility to export the iFS1.1.6 schema. I was hoping this would export the iFS1.1.6 schema, metadata, contents, and credential manager. This was not successful due to missing Java packages not installed in the Oracle8i (8.1.7.4 database).
    These are all the details of my dilemma. Can you help guide me in the right direction. I've spent a lot time already fumbling through and have had a number of false starts with my proposed approach. I need someone to tell me the recommended way of approaching my issue. Thanks again.

What I did is turn off some of the last plug-ins I installed. That did not fix the problem at least in the first look. What happened next was very interesting none the less. I had a moment of mouse spastic wrist syndrome and accidentally moved a tab in such a way that it opened in a new window. The URL bar was white and editable. So I moved all my tabs to the new window and everything works as it should. I have restarted Firefox this morning and it came back with the bar editable and I am speechless to understand what I may have done to correct the problem if anything ??

  • Installation problem with NW'04 SR1: database connection failed

    Hi all,
    while installing NW '04 SR1 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 and MS SQL Server 2000 SP4 I ran into an error related to the database connection. While performing the step "Load Java Database content" SAPinst crashes with the message
    com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Could not load class com.ddtek.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver.
    The connection to the SLQ Server with e.g. the Query Analyzer is OK. I had a problem with this installation setup before (have a look at the corresponding <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=338638&tstart=0">thread</a> ), the JDBC drivers where missing on the installation master but after copying them in the right direction the installation went on with no problem up to this point...
    Has anybody an idea what could have happened here? Is this maybe a problem connected to the one I recently had

    Hello Kairat,
    Please follow the below mentioned guide to install it.
    Check all the parameters to set and run pre requisite checker before starting installation.

  • Flash 12.0.0.77 plugin installs to wrong folder

    In Vista x64, using either Firefox 28 or Firefox 24.4 ESR, the plugin installer (one downloaded from Adobe distribution) installs the 32 bit .dll file to \system32\macromedia\flash\ folder;
    installs the 64 bit .dll to:  \sysWOW64\macromedia\flash\  folder.  So, they're exacly reversed.
    I uninstalled it completely - went well.  Then removed 1 remaining file in one of the above paths, then reinstalled.  Did the same thing.
    Before I did all this - I was *very sporadically* seeing the FlashPlayerPlugin_12_0_0_77.exe file, running (kinda "sitting") in background, in task manager.  It never came to foreground w/ a UI, asking for anything.  Couldn't figure out what it was, until started looking in the installation folders.
    That's what lead to discovery the files were in wrong folders.
    Anyone heard of this?
    BTW, "Nayana" of Adobe Support chat, is a few bricks shy of a load.  Or I am.  I couldn't create an acct for forums.  She kept saying, you don't need an acct - "just post your question.  Other people will answer it."

    EDIT:  Seems there's no error in Flash installing to wrong folders, only error in my brain.  Why didn't someone stop me from embarrassing myself?
    System32 (in a 64 bit OS / architecture) is for 64 bit drivers, files; SysWOW64 is for 32 bit apps running in 64 bit OS.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WoW64
    WoW64 (Windows 32-bit on Windows 64-bit) is a subsystem of the Windows operating system capable of running 32-bit applications and is included on all 64-bit versions of Windows
    Also, http://www.samlogic.net/articles/32-64-bit-windows-folder-x86-syswow64.htm (section on SysWoW64)
    End Edit.
    Thanks for info on attaching images.  A bit different than most forums.  There's no "preview post" before submitting?
    Screenshots of the 2 flash folder contents.
    NOTE:  I attached full FlashInstall.log earlier.  I opened the 1.25 MB (text) file in an editor - copied contents to clipboard > paste to forum reply screen.  Immediately locked up Firefox like a big dog.  Couldn't perform any functions in Fx - not even reload or close browser.  At same time, Fx memory use was continually climbing; to nearly 2 GB when I killed it.  Won't make that mistake again.
    Been many yrs since Fx locked up, doing anything.  That aside, Adobe is definitely "different" than most forums.  Almost like a person w/ no $ to use one of the many forum softwares available.
    Most recent Flash installation logs.
