CMSS-3D and modes quest

I've bought a XtremeGamer and being new at it I'm wondering about that feature. If it is enabled, does it have any effect in games that have 5. surround built in? I know it produces virtual surround from stereo so it should not interfere with games that aren't stereo?
The other question is how important is it to change modes? Entertainment and game modes to be exact. How big of a difference does it make?
I've tried UT3 and it doesn't crash and works fine with OpenAL enabled which is good, I suppose.
[edit] No, it doesn't work. Random freezes and weird sound constantly.

Thanks for the info, but Winamp is just where I noticed it the most as there was constant music playing with the crackeling. I would even get the sound crackel when it played Windows audio that goes with the recycle bin or mail notifacation or just about anything that made noise as long as the "Stereo Xpand" was used in the CMSS-3D. Since moving it to Stereo Surround, everything seems fine other than this feature is not as nice as the Xpand feature. I mentioned the Audiodg.exe because I am new to Vista and this was new and it seemed to have a high amount of useage for something I didin't know what it was doing. A little research and I am smarter now and seem to understand, although I am still looking for any new info I can get. Thanks.
PS, the high CPU usage happens even when there is no sound playing...just the CMSS-3D checked and in the Stereo Xpand Mode.

    All built-in functions are listed in the SQL Language manual:

    In Oracle 10g I could see these functions.You can use PERCENTILE_CONT or PERCENTILE_DISC to get the median in Oracle 9. You can also use ROW_NUMBER.
    I don't see MEAN or MODE even in Oracle 10.
    Use AVG for mean.
    ROW_NUMBER is one way to find the mode.

    I download .bit file to FPGA and succeed.
    When i try to download .mcs file to PROM XCF128X-FTG64C(BPI Flash) and choose Slave SelectMAP Mode

    and i find many people have met the same thing. But they are spartan  series FPGA and i try to low the Resistances of Mode pins,M0 M1 and M2, but the problem does not been solved.
    I have read the status Registers and find there is an over-temperature state 
    and in Impact i could not readback the registers. It is strange.
    I am anxious about this problem and have not solved it yet

    It seems that you have selected the correct mode, assuming your jumpers are set as required in the ML605 Hardware User's Guide.  See table 1-27, table 1-33 and the note below it about switch S1.
    I'm not that familiar with the details of this reference design, but it may be that the slave SelectMap circuitry requires a reset or power cycle to actually configure the FPGA.  Have you tried power-cycling to see if the FPGA boots from the flash?
    I'd also suggest that you select the V6 in the JTAG chain view, then go to the debug menu of Impact and select Read Device Status (this is from memory, but it's something like that).  That will not only show the bits of the configuration status register, but also describe what each bit means.  Among other things you can check the state of the FPGA's configuration logic and the Mode pins.

    TRUNC and MOD are both clearly documented in the SQL Reference.

  • Possible to convert existing MP3 using CMSS-3D and Crystaliz

    I'm quite impressed with the way CMSS-3D and 24-bit Crystalizer can upmix lower quality recordings but I'd like the effect to be permanent on some of my existing files. What I would like to do is to resample my existing audio files much in the way super-rip handles the conversion of CD's to WMA. I have not yet found this option or even know if this is possible. I'd appreciate some pointers.

    I enjoy the CMSS 3D option on my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro, and it works on all my MP3 audio in all players.

  • How Can I Fix My Decode and Mod Code In The SQL

    Now if the decode returns a value of '30' then 1 is added to the remainder using
    the MOD function otherwise the MOD function is used and 1 is not added which is

    After a '1' is added to the remainder , a value of '1','2','3','4', '5','6','7','8','9','10','11','12' is obtained which is alright also.
    However I do not want a '12' to appear instead I want a '0' (zero) to appear. Can I do this in an SQL statement? Eventually I want to do this in a report.

  • Call transaction mode 'A' and mode 'N'

    In my below mentioned code statement bdc call transaction eg33 mode 'A' is working fine in both programs main program and called(submit) program (highlighted here). But if I give mode 'N' in both called and calling program call transaction  the called program using submit is not at all called. Suggest me what to do if i want to run it in background.Write now its runing in foreground and user has to press enter many times which i want to avoid.

  • Problem changing portlet state and mode programmatically

    I am trying to change state/mode of a portlet programmatically in backing file.
    My request is, when a portlet is changed to EDIT, I want it be maximized. Based on that, I put logic in handlePostbackData() like this,

    The mode keeps in the previous mode till it enters the preRender() phase. But as API, setStateChangeEvent() should be used in handlePostbackData() ONLY.
    Any suggestions?

    you should be able to do this through declerative IPC
    of course you can do this via the IDE but you can also add it to the .portlet file. Something like this...

  • Adobe premiere element 7.0 and .MOD files

    My camera a JVC harddisk camcorder Everio 2 mega pixel GZ-M667E can produce widescreen moviefiles with the extension .MOD  When I upload these files in Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 they not apear as widescreen movie. After editing the movie and saving the movie stays in small screen. I tried most settings, but I keep the same problem. Who knows a solution?

    This is a problem with Everio files.
    Once you import them into a project, you need to right-click on them, select Interpret Footage and manually set them to display as widescreen.

  • Can't connect wifi after change channel and mode in router

    I have a problem with wifi connection. I've been using arch linux for awhile now and my wireless connection is worked well until I setting my router via browser. I change my router channel from 6 to 1 and wireless mode to 802.11n. Usually in windows it will disconnected for awhile then it will connected again, but with arch linux its just disconnected and can't connect anymore. My AP's name before is "olympian hermes", but now it change to "olympian+hermes". in my router setting the name doesn't change (still: olympian hermes).
    I've using windows to test if there is problem with my router but it's worked fine in windows. After that i'm using my android phone to make a wifi, but it still didn't work with another network.
    I hope someone could help me, thanks in advance.

  • K8N Neo Platinum and modded X800 Pro

    Hello everyone,
    I am running the Board for a while now and it was rockstable.
    System is:
    A643200+ C0 Zalman CNPS 7000 A-Cu
    MSI K8N NEO Platinum Bios 1.2
    2x512MB OCZ 3700 EB
    windows xp pro sp1
    old card: Ati 9800 XT
    new card: Saphire X800 Pro modded to XT.
    After installing the Card properly, i installed the catalyst 4.8 Drivers and direct9c
    After testing a little Bit benchmarking stresstesting, i rebootet and the system and it hangs at the windows xp bootscreen. i reloaded a restore point and tried to reinstall the drivers. no luck.
    then i reinstalled windows xp on moday with the same drivers and everything seemed to work fine. windows booted normally, the card worked fine.
    yesterday after work. same thing. lookup at the bootscreen of windows.
    i uninstalled the catalyst drivers in windows safe mode then rebooted.
    normally when i install the card it installs the x800pro and x800 secondary and then finds the rage theater chip and installs it too.
    after freezing and getting into windows i can install the card drivers, but the theater chip isnt recognized anymore.
    the card is working fine on 3d. i played yesteray for 4 hours at a time and no problems. but after rebooting i cant get into windows.
    so i contacted the seller of the card and he told me i am the thired customer who hast issues with the card on this board.
    same problem. random freezes on boot sequence, but others seem to have problems in 3d which i dont. i only cant boot.
    any suggestions?

    Load BIOS default to try again.
    Maybe you can update the BIOS to 1.42 to try again.

  • Uvesafb, v86d and mode switch segfaults

    i have a desktop with a intel d845gvsr motherboard. i have a fresh install and added uvesafb and v86d, updated the confs and ran mkinitcpio. on boot, the screen flickers and dmesg has errors message from v86d (3 segfaults when uvesafb when attempted a mode switch).
    any ideas anyone?

    The v86d hook should be before the filesystems and keymaps hook. It's probably best to put it right after the udev hook.
