CNA 6.1 topology view empty

Hi,
I have an strange issue with CNA 6.1.
When starting and choosing my community, CNA starts discovering the topology, asking for passwords here and there and everything seems to be ok. But when its finished, I am left with an empty topology view. I can see the switches it discovered in the left pane but no topology......
Any ideas?
CNA is running on a windows 7 pro x64 machine.

I don't know the answer to your question but how do you get the CNA to down load. It will not download.
Is the product still out there

    Hello Team,
Is it possible on PI 2.2 (latest version) under Maps/Network Topology View to be able to "monitor" the spanning-tree performance?
    thanks in advance,
    George

Sorry but that's not a currently offered feature.
It would be nice - the Netsys product that Cisco acquired 18-1/2 years ago (and subsequently abandoned) used to do this quite nicely.

  • A problem with PoE devices in the Topology view (LMS 3.1)

    Hello,
the customer has a problem with PoE devices in the Topology View. :-( He doesn't see the 2960 PoE devices with the PoE filter enabled in the topology view:-( He uses LMS 3.1 on Windows.
In the NetPro discussion I found that the list of PoE devices is in the following file:
    POECapableDeviceTypes.properties
but I cann't to find thid file in the campus directory. In the campus folder are following folders: bin, etc, lib and www.
    Thank you

    The file is in NMSROOT/campus/www/classpath/com/cisco/nm/ani/clients/campus/main/filters/POECapableDeviceTypes.properties.

  • LMS 4.2 topology view telnet

    Dear all,
I am trying to open a telnet from the topology view but the internet explorer is not opening the command prompt window, i am using i.e 9, and i know that the telnet is not supported on both 8 and 9 i.e.
i have also tried to install Mozilla firefox, but when i try to open the topology view it prompts me to install java always.
so does any one have i patch or something that works to open a telnet over the i.e or any ideas.
    thanx in advance.

Topology view is not really intended to be a real time (or near real time) fault management tool. While you can turn up the speed of it's discovery cycle, it will create excessive workload and, depending on the size of your network, may result in polling never stopping due the time to complete one cycle being more than the time you have configured to start over again.
To see near real time faults (such as loss of a CCTV camera), have operators refer to the Fault Monitor display:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.2/user/guide/lms_monitor/mnt-faultbrowser.html
If you want to customize the polling of devices for fault management, refer to the Fault Management chapter of that same guide:

    Hope you all doing well.
I just want know few thing about Cisco Prime Infra 2.x.
1st thing is does CPI2.x support Network topology View? if not then is that any other feature which can provide Network View (exa :- Map,etc)?
2nd thing is it possible to take Telnet/Ssh of discovered device from CPI2.x then how we can do that?
3rd Thing if we want to add third party device in CPI2.x then what are prerequisite for the same (Vendor MIB, etc) and procedure?
    Your help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
Since you don't have any data as such on PI 2.1 , go ahead installed PI 2.2 on the Appliance.
Yes , you need to download , the .ISO image and burned it on DVD and start the installation.
    here is the download link::
    https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286236028&flowid=72882&softwareid=284272932&release=2.2&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
You need to check if you are entitle for download or not.
Can we installed PI 2.2 from current PI 2.1 GUI access? No , it is not possible.

  • Cat 6500 doesn't appear in Topology View after replacement of the Supervisor engine

    Hi.
    I've a problem with a LMS 3.2 (latest updates).
We've replaced the supervisor engine with a new one (there was no change in model or IOS).
All is working fine, but only one thing is missing: The device was in the unreachable status in CM-Topology-View. So, I've deleted the switch into the Topo-View and rediscovered. The device doesn't appear. I've deleted the device in CS and redescover the hole net. Same effect: the device is present in RME, DFM, IPM, but not in CM-Topo-View.
The communication between NMS and device has neighter abnormalities nor other problems. I've checked ICMP, TFTP, Telnet, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3.
All inventory jobs, Config jobs, DFM-Polling-Jobs and so on are working properly with this device.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Markus

    Hi.
Thx a lot ... the clearing of the cache was successful.
but where is the interrelationship between the discovery/data collection and the browser cache? Why I set the option to "every visit of the page" for temporarily internet files?
    Regards
    Markus

  • Realtime - network topology viewer

    Hello guys,
is it possible to see realtime network topology viewer without collecting data manually. because everytime my device down , i have to click "perform data collection button " to see realtime network topology. without pressing it, looks like our device still up.

You should not set data collection to less than 5 minutes. It will likely be continually be consuming resources on your server and adversely affect performance (usability).
Here is the relevant section from the above reference (the same documentation should be available with your server):
    Scheduling Data Collection
Data Collection runs automatically when you add, or delete devices in the Unified Device Manager (UDM).
You can also schedule the day and time of data collection using this feature.
You can start data collection immediately for all or failed devices and schedule data collection for all devices. All devices is a default option. You can select the Failed devices option to run data collection for failed devices.
    To schedule data collection:
Step 1 Select Admin > Collection Settings > Data Collection > Data Collection Schedule.
The Data Collection Schedule dialog box appears.
Step 2 Modify the data collection settings as described in Table 6-2.
Table 6-2     Data Collection Schedule Settings
    Field
    Description
    Usage Notes
    Schedule
    Days, Hour, Min
Days on which and the time at which data collection is scheduled.
The optimum data collection schedule depends on the size of the network and the frequency of network changes.
The default data collection schedule is every 4 hours, on the 4-hour mark, daily: 04.00, 08.00, 12.00, 16.00, 20.00, 24.00 Note that time is in the 24-hour format.
•Select a schedule and click Edit to edit the schedule.
•Select a schedule and click Delete to delete the schedule.
•Click Add to add a new schedule.
Step 3 Click OK to save the changes or click Cancel to exit.
    Best Practices
Be cautious while scheduling Data Collection:
•Data Collection consumes significant resources on the network management system.
•Use the Polling option to see the device and link status without running data collection. For more details on polling see, Data Collection Critical Device Poller
    Data Collection Critical Device Poller
LMS polls the entire network for device and link status periodically. This feature allows you to:
•Configure the time interval at which the network is polled.
•Poll only a critical set of devices.
Use this option to see the device and link status without running Data Collection.
Since Data Collection consumes significant system resources, you can simply poll the network and view the device and link status in Topology maps.
Adding Critical Devices to the Device Poller
To add a device to the Critical Devices list from Topology Map:
Step 1 Launch a Topology map.
Step 2 Right click a device and select Add device to Critical Poller.

  • Two issues on Aperture: single photo won't show in viewer, emptied trash won't indicate as empty

Using Version 3.5.1. Several after-market edit plug-ins attached. Two new problems:
Very recently, when editing, the single photo viewer mode will start showing only black (blank), or shows the photo very briefly then goes black, or shows another different photo, or a damaged-looking photo. Multiple photo viewer modes still work ok. Problem goes away upon quitting and restarting Aperture, but then shortly soonafter recurs while editing.
Also, trash continually indicates 477 undeleted photos even after emptying. Additional photos added to trash get added to this count (i.e. it then indicates, say, 492 photos in trash, while showing only the actual 15 legitimate files in the trash folder), and then can successfully deleted the actual trashed files back to the mysterious 477, although with no photos actually left in the trash folder and the Empty Trash function still active for these 477 ghost files. This problem persists despite restarting.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Problem goes away upon quitting and restarting Aperture, but then shortly soonafter recurs while editing.
First of all, make sure you have a current, working backup of your Aperture library.
Is your Aperture library on your system drive or on an external drive? If external drive, how is the library connected? And is the library referenced or managed?
    Several after-market edit plug-ins attached.
Have you checked, if your plug-ins are the latest versions, and compatible with MacOS X Mavericks?
What trouble-shooting measures have you already tried? If you have not already done so, use the Aperture Library First Aid tools and repair the permissions and the database, see this page of the Aperture User Manual:  Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
    Post back, with more information.

  • ISE 1.2 Live Session View Empty

We have a distributed ISE deployment (1.2.0.899 patch 7) with the PANs in one firewall context and the MNTs and PSNs in another firewall context. Everything is working smoothly except that when looking at the Live Sessions view in the PAN, it's empty. Viewing the same thing on the MNT shows plenty of information, which is what we expect. Is there some bug in the version we're running that would prevent the Live Session view on the PAN from being populated? Or do we just have to use the MNT to view that instead?
    Thanks,
    Brandon

You have it setup correctly so not sure why things are not working for you. The PSNs should be the accounting servers and the admin persona should be the only GUI you/console you should be logging into to manage the system.
Check the deployment tab, do all nodes have a "green check box" and in sync?

  • LMS 4.2 Topology View

    Hi
I have installed LMS 4.2 in one of my customer site. We have added all the switches and everything works perfectly. Recently we added all the CCTV cameras in lms.
Issue is that when CCTV camera is down  it takes a long time to show in topology map..Any one knows how to make  view in topology map as real time. Atleast a delay of 30sec is okay..

  • PMD View empty after running PMD on a flex project

I tried with flexpmd 1.1 and 1.2 with no spaces in the workspace path , project name and flexpmd path. But when i say run flex pmd,all I see is "flexpmd.running" for a couple of seconds and then i am getting an empty pmd view.In the preferences i have set the paths correctly, but did not give any rulesets.

I have tried FlexPMD with almost all possible combinations - with Flex 3, with Flex 4 Standalone, with Flex 4 Plugin, using workspace with space, without space, using my C: partition, my D partition, etc. Without being able to see anything at all on the FlexPMD view.
After finding this forum, I have tried running eclipse with -debug, and got this stack trace:

It seems the problem might be due to my User Account in Windows, which have spaces and special characters (João Saleiro) - but I might be wrong. I can't change my user account name, which makes FlexPMD useless for now. And I was hoping to show it on a presentation I will be giving for the community next saturday (day 16). Is there any workaround that allows me to use FlexPMD inside eclipse, so I can use it for now? Isn't there an easy way to set the output directory to a different one?
    Thank you,
    João Saleiro

  • Cisco Network Assistant topology view problem

hello! I have a problem. I just installed Cisco Network Assistant on my computer, scanned the network and found my switches. The problem is that when the program builds the topology, it desplays the switches in two raws but doesnt draw the links between them. Before installing CNA, i configured the switches with the following commands to enable CNA to see them:
    switch# conf t
    switch(config)# ip http server
    switch(config)# ip http secure-server
    switch(config)# ip http max-connections 16
    switch(config)# ip http ip timeout-policy idle 180 life 180 requests 25
    switch(config)# end
    switch#
Is there any other settings that i have to make for CNA to show the links between the switches? Thank you very much!

Both the Catalyst 4506 and 4506-E are supported by CNA. You need to verify reachability from the CNA host and that the target Catalyst has the http (or https) server active. With that, it should work fine.

  • Design view empty!

I'm using Flex Builder 3. While creating a UI within the
source view, I occasionally switch over to design view to see how
things are looking. At a certain point, all my controls disappear
from the design window. Everything's still fine within the source
view and the app actually compiles and runs just fine. After a
while, the Designer just gets itself into some state where it no
longer displays controls (nor can controls be added to the UI using
    the Design view).
Is this a known problem? Is there a workaround?
    Many thanks!

Most of what Flex does well is work with data. When you're in
    Design view
you don't have access to the data, so you get a very
    truncated picture of
what you're going to get when data is present. Since that's
    the case, if
you're using Flex for what it's intended for, you're not
    going to find
    Design view very useful.
That being said, I've heard other developers with similar
    complaints, and I
think it has something to do with the java version in the
    eclipse part of
builder. You might want to try updating eclipse, or
    uninstalling and
    reinstalling Builder.
