CNR2 HR Assignment - Work Center Description

Hello,
We use CNR2 to maintain work centers. In the "Change Work Center: Basic Data" section I am able to change the description of the work center. I then click the 'HR Assignment' button at the top of the screen and notice that the work center description located above where the 'persons' are assigned does not get updated. Is there a separate location where the work center description must be maintained?

I figured it out. Transaction code PO01 can be used to update the work center description for the HR assignment.

In IW31 work order, I need a user exit to populate the work center description to PR delivery address for control key PM03 with Service Master. I have tried and search in vain for other BADI or user exit but none works.

My abaper has tried a few IWO1_PREQ_BADI, IW010009 and WORKORDER_UPDATE.
Operationally, user require the work centre address as the delivery address of the services due to the company has 24 physical workshop locations.
Anyway, will also try to create the fields in AUFK table as recommended.

PM-HR assigning work center to employee changes position

Dear all,
   I have an urgent issue, and I have absolutelly no idea how to resolve it, because it takes place in the module PM, and I dont know anything about it.
   The problem is that when users go to tcode IR02 and make an asignament of a employee to a work center the system also changes the position of the employee for the work center (I mean, SAP in the back ground goes to Infotype 0001 of the employee and changes the position of the employee).
   Is there a way of avoiding it? I think it is due to a bad customizing in the integration PM-HR, but Im not sure at all.
PS: sorry if this is the wrong forum to post it, I didnt find a PM forum, If you know a forum that fixes better please let me know!!!

I am not sure how you 'assign' an SFC to an operator (User). Anyway, you may use Certification functionality of ME to 'certify' some particular Users on Operations/Resources etc. KBA #1618564 may be helpful for you.

In the Workcenter Create(CR01) or Change mode (CR02), in the basic data tab down you will find a function button "Classification" hit this button, system will prompt for Class assignment.
Class Type for work center is 019.

Assigning Work Center to Operatios?

HI,
I Create two operators, named op1 and op2,
and they are in the same Workcenter.
I assign a SFC named sfc001 to op1, But if I login use op2 account, op2 can to start and complete with sfc001?
is it normal condition? or someone have another solution to setting their's permission ?

Work center's description copy automatically in operation Routing

Hi all,
Could anyboy tell me where point of spro is to customize that work center's description is copied automatically in the operation Routing's description?
I try to search for it but I don't find it still.

Hi,
A suggestion:
In CA10, create a key say Z1 & give the description same as work center's description.
Now go to CR02 & for the work center in default values tab, assign the key to the field Standard Text key.
Now when you create a routing which uses this work center, the operation description will contain the work center description.

Work center assignment HR - PS

Hi everyone
is there anything else to do to assign work center in HR except what I've already accomplished:
1. work centers have been created in CR01and customized in OP42
2. via T-Code PO01 I assigned a work center to a position (connection A!003).
What else should be done? How can I see the work center in organizational plan (PPOSE) besides Detailed description of an object???
Will PS team-members be able to observe my work center from HR in their T-Codes???

you cannot see ur work center directly in the Org.Structure.Please use this report RHXSTR06 which will give the existing work centers that are assigned to ur Organization Unit.

Why not do a little experiment by yourself..
start SQL trace in ST05 / ST01, then go to IR01 to create Work Centre
then you will know which sql table is used to store...

it is necessary to assign cost centre to org structure.how ?
President has to be given personnel no.?
if employee is reporting to two superiors of different depts or different regions ,how the employee should be placed i.e dual reporting?

1. To assign Work Center the T-code is PO01.
2. Yes. In SAP HR every employee has to be given Personnel Number irrespective of their designations.
3. No its not possible according to me (Gurus Pls correct me too if I am wrong)

Dear All,
We have created equipment master for 1000 palnt and then assigned work center belongs to 1100 palnt.System accepted 1100 plant work center.My requirement is plant number and work center palnt must be same.

I assign cost center the activity type in kp26
In work center when i a assign the cost center not automatically seen in the activity type tab
In the order creation when is assign work center am not able to see activity type in the bottom
Where to do the setting

In KP26 , You Have maintained Activity Type , Price for Activity Type & Cost Element , Not Cost Center
After this In Work Center , in Costing Tab , You Have to Maintain Cost Center , Activity Type & formula.
When u input this Work Center in Maintenance Order , you will get Activity type in Order

CNR2-assign person to work center error: the cost center is deleted

Hi guys,
i have a problem with assigning a person to a work center using CNR2.
i select the person and i add it but when i hit SAVE i get this warning message:
"RP718: a segment could not be derived". the person will then be allocated to the work center BUT when i check in PA30 i can see that the persons cost center is DELETED :O.
could you please help me with this? i tried a lot of scenarios but i could still not find the answer.

Cost Center must be maintained for that person in HR master data. Please have your HR person look into this and maintain the data and try again. Cost center and Atype of that person would bring in actual costs (equivalent of hours) on the receiving objects when time sheet is being recorded.

Hello Linh,
I would suggest you the following, in order to be able to assign a report to a Work Center View you need to create stable anchors for your WoC view in the UI Designer.
The ReportAssignment-Anchor can be added via UI designer. Plus, the work center view subtype should be "Application".

URGENT........ACTIVITY TYPE AND THEIR ASSIGNEMENT TO WORK CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!

I have A REAL URGENT REQUIREMENT as far as activity type and assignment to Work Center is concerned.
I work for a client who is a manufacturer of Paint equipment. I'm responsible for capturing the cost of an assembly activity of spray guns, which is the last step of routing. However, there are 4 processes/steps of routing which are outsourced to the subcontracting vendors. we recieve the facbricated, anodised guns which are assembled in our factory.
I need to get the cost of assembly, which I have created as an actvity type in KL01 and planned for the same using KP26. However the system is throwing up errors related to costing, and I'm not sure about the assignment areas in work center.
And above all I'm not sure of various fields in KP26 like capacity field and what do we assign.
can anybody help me with the series of steps for me to be able to pick up the cost. or if there is any sort of material in this regards, plz mail it to: __ email removed by moderator

Hi,
You need to do the following:
1) Create an Activity type for the Assembly activity.
2) Define a Work Centre in PP (T-Code CR01) which represents the location where the Assembly is carried out.
3) Define a Cost Centre corresponding to the above Work Centre.
4) Plan for the Activity quantity for the combination of the Cost Centre and Activity type (KP26)
5) Plan for the Overhead Costs which are incurred on this Cost Centre which need to be included in the Standard cost of the Assembly.(KP06)
6) Assign the Cost centre & Acivity type to the Work Centre in CR02.(This is possible only after you do 5 above)
7) Execute the Plan price calculation (T-code KSPI)
After you do all of the above, when you do the Costing Run, all the relevant costs will be picked.
Ofcourse all the relevant master data for PP like BOM, Routing with the relevant assignments of materials to operations, etc should be in place.
