CO_PA extractor from 4 tables

Hi experts,
I would like to how to find out which fields from which tables are being picked up from the 1_co_pa extractor. To my knowledge there are 4 tables for CO-PA, CE1-4. Is there a way to see the fields and to which table it belongs to is being extracted?

HI Mark,
CE1 and CE2 bring line item data, actual and plan respectively. So if your COPA data is configured only for actual, then you can remove CE2 from your source list.
Again, fields such as date would be part of the line item data. So again the source of such data would be CE1 for actual and CE2 for plan.
As mentioned in the link above, activate trace and in RSA3 run the extract. Go back to the trace and view the tables and the fields.

Selective Deletion and Data Load from Setup Tables for LIS Extractor

Hi All,
We came across a situation where one of the delta in PSA was missed to load in DSO. This DSO updates another cube in the flow. Since it has been many days since this miss come in our knowledge we need to selectively delete data for those documents from DSO & Cube and then take a full load for the Documents filling the setup table.
Now what will be the right approach to load this data from setup table > DSO > cube. There is change log present for those documents and a few KPI's in DSO are in summation mode.

This is Sales Order extractor, the data got loaded to ODS just fine, but since the data is coming to ODS from different extractor. Everything is fine in ODS, but not in the cube. Will Full repair request and Full load would it make difference when the data is going to cube? I thought that it would matter only if I am loading to ODS.
what do you mean "Even if you do a full load without any selections you should do a full repair ".

Find out the Extractor names from the Table name

Hello, I wanted to know given a name of the table in ecc, if there is any way to check which extractors have used this table.
for example, I have a table name VBAP and I want to see the list of the extractors that are extracting data from this table.
I tried se11 in ecc, gave the table name and looked the where used list but it doesn't have any options for extractors. I checked all the options with no luck.

By using table we won't find data source as you need.
By experience we can guess the data sources.
Actually in SAP we 3 category type of applications like
1. Human resources(HR)
2. Logistics(LO)
3. Financial(FI).
based on application also we have standard data sources as well. Based on table name, you can check the available standard data sources.
Please check thru in that way.

If we want to know exactly at what time the Extractor has picked up the records from r/3 tables .
or if we want to know the time stamp of extractor picking the records from r3 tables after r3 entries

Sorry for confusing you, BASOSOURCE contains Inter name. try with SE11 with where used list and select extraction structure in the next screen.
If you got any extraction structure, then we can get the data source name

Extractor on Z table with currency fields referenced from T001

Good morning.
We have a requirement to extract a Z table (keys Material Number, Plant) to BW.
In trying to build a datasource on this table, I get a message saying currency fields referenced from another table.
So, the key figures in this Z table are referenced from T001 (which has Company Code as key
How do I tie these two tables? I was thinking if I could get Company code from any of the Material Master tables then I could include that in the view but haven't been able to Material and Company Code relation yet.
Any thoughts on how to go about building this datasource are greatly appreciated!

In your datasource just include the table name and check the datasource it should be ok.
The reason it asks for these tables could be that the Z table that you are using should be using a datatype "CURRENCY" and currency will by default have USD or EUR etc associated. So when you include the appropriate "T" table it knows to make connection. You need not have to write exits to populate the currency fields.

data-/info source 0EC_PCA_1. The cube is 0PCA_C01.
For GLT3 :
3FI_SL_09_TT
or
check the DS 3EC_CS1A.It is giving the data as like data there in table GLT3.

For FAGLFLEXT :
0FI_GL_10 extracts data from FAGLFLEXT table, that is connected to DSO (0FIGL_O10) --> Cube (0FIGL_C10) --> Virtual Cube (0FIGL_V10) and u will all the standard reports from there

Could you please help me in finding out of the table from which datasource 0CDCY_ACT_ATTR is extracting.
As per my knowledge is should be extract from tables(infotypes) HRP5135 - 5141.If i am wrong please correct me.
Issue : My extractor(0cdcy_ACT_ATTR) is bringing wrong ACT_TYPE (Eg :5010) where as in table HRP5141 for that particular OBJID it is 9180( different).
Please help me why my extractor is bringing ACT_TYPE 5010.
This standard datasource and using Function Module : RCF_BIW_GET_ACTIVITY, How can i check from which table it is picking the data

Hi Sree,
In RSA3 on the first screen, you have the option to start debugging by marking the debug check box, once you put all the selections, click on execute and it will go to debug mode, then keep on pressing F5. It will debug your code line by line, then you can check for all the select statements.
Or once the debugging is started you will have the option to put break point on all the select statements in one shot, you can get in touch with your ABAP team.

How can i get all the records from three tables(not common records)

I have four base tables at R/3-Side. And i need to extract them from R/3-Side.
And i dont have any standard extractor for these tables .
If i create a 'View' on top of these tables. Then it will give only commom records among the three tables.
But i want all the records from three base tables (not only common).
So how can i get the all records from three tables. please let me know

You can create separate 3 datasources for three tables and extract data to BW. There you can implement business login to build relation between this data.

Hi,
First you need to check if the tables are standard tables or custom tables. If they are standard tables check which extractors are using those tables.
If they are not being used by any of the standard extractors then you you need to create generic datasource for the same. The same hold true for custom tables as well. For custom tables, you'll need to create generic datasource. If you search the forum for generic datasources you'll get a lot of information.
Its very important that you understand the table relationships, data volumes, if delta is possible or not, data granularity, etc for your datasource design.

How to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM?

Dear ladies and gentlemen!
I need to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM tables (AFKO and AUFK).
The problem is that it is a key field to the COSP, and all non-key fields as an alternative to HRKFT are not suitable for this task.
All this is necessary for the extractor, which loads the data from the R \ 3 systems in the BW-system. I need to perform SELECT from a table COSP and maybe also JOIN, most likely between tables COSP and AUFK.
What should I do in this case?

From information on help.sap.com I've made a conclusion that one of possible solutions in theory is to modify standard extractor PM_OM_OPA_1 in order to make HRKFT field available for work, because by default it is hidden by SAP and not available for use as a key field.
Of course, it's not a very good solution, but for now I know no other way to solve this problem.
Maybe someone knows better ways? In this case I will be very grateful for any help!

Hi,
Datasource / tables in the source system
Go to RSA2 (DS Repository) in your source system and display your source system.
If Extraction Method is 'V' - you are lucky and you see table name where data is taken from.
If it is F* - function module is used, and you have to go thru its code to see all the tables it uses and logic how data is
processed.

Since you have the extract structure and the extractor, you must have some transaction like the Extractor Checker RSA3. If so
then execute ST05, switch on the trace and execute the extractor checker. Once the extractor checker presents the results
switch off trace. The clcik on Display trace and you will see all the tables that were hit by the extractor checker to
retrieve data and present it to you.

I want to find that from which tables data is coming into datasource 2LIS_04_P_COMP,2LIS_04_P_MATNR..
I have searched in forums.. I also have checked in sap.help.. but I didnt get any tablename in field "Table of origin"..
Please tell me how can I find that data is coming from which table into these datasources..
I dont want name of the setup tables.. I want name of the original tables (in R/3)which has data..

For data source 2LIS_04_P_COMP............MCAFKO, MCAFPO, MCCOMP are the R3 communication structures...........
Check these commonication Structure in SE11............I think u will get the required information........
2LIS_04_P_MATNR is Material View from PP/PP-PI ..........check this..........

Check this each field in SE11....from there try to find out these fields belongs to which table..........as I hav explained u in another thread..........

Is there any datasource available to pull data from NAST table?

The field I am trying to pull out of NAST (Message Status) table is NACHA. Please provide me hints if any Business Content Datasource uses this table or we have to create a custom extractor for the same?

I dont think there is a standard business content datasource to extract data from NAST table. If you are going to use this data in some other LO modules based on the requirement enhance the datasource and append fields and write code to populate the message types.
If you are going to use this as stand alone data, then you can go ahead and create a generic datasource based on table.

Generic Extractor on DB Table without Date, Time stamp

Hi all,
We have requirement of creating a generic extractor on the table which doesnt have date or time stamp in the data field. The only option availabel is to extract from Document numbers.
And we cant put the extractor mode to "Read from view" because the table contains Currency field which refers to external table for currency key.
The moment we change the extractor mode from Extraction from view to Extraction from FM the option "Numeric pointer" gets hidden.
What shall we do in this scenario ?? Pls advice.

Prakash : Currency key is needed in BW .
Tapan : I was just trying diff. options i.e. extraction from view and FM . Problem with Generic Extractor is that i dont have any date fields getting updated in the table. The only field that can be used for delta is document number. And Generic extractor only allows date or time stamp option , its not allowing numeric pointer if one reads from FM.
