CO-PA transport error, data element missing

We had a error when transporting CO-PA to Q&A because one of the value fields data elements doesn't have a object directory entry (package) assigned, and wasn't included in the transport.RKE2_VV016 doesn't have one, RKE2_VV015 has it, and don't know why this happened.
Any clue on how to generate the directory entry?

Table buffer for TADIR wasn't consistent with the SQL content. Strange. Refreshed the table buffer and the transport was correctly generated.

Transport infoobject data element?

Hi All,
I created a new key figure in the development system with numeric type and 3 decimal places. I transported it to the quality system. Everything went well.
After I changed the decimals places from 3 to 9 in the development system. I created a new Domain for this data type and assigned to the key figure. When I transport the key figure again only the key figure changes in the quality system but the data element not!
I tried to transport the data element itself but I do not know how can I transport it.
How can I solve the problem and synchronize the systems?

I have created a new data element for my key figure on the basis of another (source) data element.
My new data element: /BIC/OIZINPRATE9 (9 dec)
The source data element: /BIC/OIZINP_RATE (3 dec)

I received an error that a data file was missing when closing Adobe Captivate 4.
Now I have lost some of my cpt files. How can I recover the se files

A decompiler will take your original SWF file can convert back into a working Flash file. One thing to note though is that Captivate SWF files decompiled can look very confusing so please bear in mind that making changes to the Slides (now frames) won't be easy.
If you decide you need to go down this route then you might want to download a trial of the SoThink SWF Decompiler.

Transport error - what is missing ??

Hi, I ma getting RC = 8 & the following error while tryign to transport from BWDev to BW Q system.
1 : Source system DV5CLNTXX does not exists
is it : before transporting the BW side ,does the link need to be doen in the R/3 side
to show :
R/3 Dev -> R/3 Q
2: assignment of info object Zx1 have not yet been maintained -> Long Text.
What am i missing in the Transports ???

well yes you have to create or transport your source system in your BWQ beofre transport objects depending on a source system.
In your BWQ you also have to tell how objects shall relate:
if a BWD obj is linked to an R3D
==>
the BWQ obj should be linked to the R3Q
you have to perform this activity in your BWQ / AWB / tranport connection / Conversion.

I have an infoobject whose data type was changed from NUMC2 to CHAR2. Everything is fine in Dev system. However, when I transport to Q, I get method execution with error message "Data type cannot be changed".

1. It will be better if you delete all the data in Development & Quality system for this Objects - Re Activate -collect objects and then transport .
2. InfoO. YHRSGB01 is used in compounding of YHRAUS01
    InfoO. YHRSGB02 is used in compounding of YHRAUS02
    this two objects are compounded
   check weather this Componded Info objects are available in   Quality System, if not transport them prior

We are using EDI X12 over generic exchange. I double checked ecs file and data file. Passing all the mandatory elements. Also checked the delimeters and they match from datafile to setup.
Anyone have faced this error before? We opened a SR with Oracle and they are not able to figure it out. Please help.

Ramesh,
To give you a little background I used Spec Generator functionality to create ecs from dat file. Then I did an export to OracleAS Integration B2B format which generated xsd file. I also analyzed (using preprocessor) giving both ecs and dat file and it passed with no errors.
Following your suggestion I now excluded ISA/GS guidelines from the ecs file, exported to xsd and tried to process the dat file, and it gives following error messages now...It doesn't even identify the trading partner now. Please advise. Thanks

Data element could not be created- error mesaage

hi all,
we are getting some wierd error when transporting to quality system. The transport for satrasfer structure datasource etc fails. The transfer structure does not get activated and we get following error message:
DD_DTEL_PUT: Act. parameter ROLLNAME=<space> invalid

if you check the infoobjects data element it is active in that system. And this is not getting solved even if you recollect the trasfer structure and transport it. We have to ask for reimport. But we dont understand why is this happening. We have got this error 4-5 times and only in this system.
Please suggest how to resolve this. if any setting or basis related configuration is missing or what could be issue.
Any help will be rewarded by points.

The problem is probably with the number range for transferstructure data elements.
Number range objects are maintained with transaction SNUM. BI_TSDTEL is
used for naming of transferstructure dataelements. The status must
always be bigger than the highest transferstructure dataelement number.
Please refer to the notes 1009638 and 674818 for further information.

Error when transporting object data

i have installed version 7.1 over verison 7 azdobe livecycle designer, howeven after installation, i try to made some changes, but i got the following error

1) It seems that you have deleted a dependent info object from ODS in BW Dev. and so is the warning message that you have deleted that info object.
2) if you have made some changes in an ODS and want to transport those to quality then you should delete all data from that ODS in quality. Delete all tables in ODS.
3) You should activate update rules in development again and transport those with this request.
Error 8 is error caused due to missing objects. do check your request thoughly before you re transport it.

We had released some TR yesterday to move to Quality and this was not moved successfully and in the TR logs I found the following message. Not sure what to do...request if some has encountered similar situation to give their feedback.
We had similar problem 2 days ago with another TR failing for the same reasons for another Data element...both are mentioned below...
We have adjusted the table in SE14 also but still the same. In development box we do not have any issues everything is active.
We have also regenerated the table maintenance also.
Following objects not activated/deleted or activated/deleted w. warning:
Table YAR_CN_BS_ACT could not be activated
(E- Nametab for table YAR_CN_BS_ACT cannot be generated )
Data Element ZLINE was activated (error in the dependencies)
Data Element ZZSERIAL was activated (error in the dependencies)
Following objects not activated/deleted or activated/deleted w. warning:
Table YAR_CN_GAAP_AREA could not be activated
(E- Nametab for table YAR_CN_GAAP_AREA cannot be generated )
Data Element ZZDES was activated (error in the dependencies)

When you transport a custom object, you need to make available other dependent custom objects for that object in the target system, means that when you transport a custom table you need to take all custom domains, data elements also in the TR if they are not already existing in the target system.....
Pls check that in your respective TRs, do you have data elements ZLINE, ZZSERIAL also....same for ZZDES...., Also include their domains if they are custom. Now, to remove this error, create a new TR and include all these custom data elements in it and transport to Quality. After that re-import your erroneous transports in Quality with help of basis.

Hi Ajeya,
An easy trick is to open the DataType on your Enterprise Service Builder, and once it is opened, (not edit, just open) go to Tools --Export Design Object
The correct SC will be filled as default.

Error " Data missing for the entry check while creating a new waste code

Hi all, While setting a new Waste code I get the error " Data missing for the entry check, correction:". while filling the NAM- WASTECOCAT - LER item.
This sould look for the catalog's name included in the phrase set but for some reason it doesn't find it giving me this error.
I am changing original Characteristics, phrase set, classes, and value assignment type. Just to have my own estructure with Znames for all of them.
I have also change the enviroment parameter "WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG" with the name of my phrase set.
I have checked everything several times watching for typos or looking for a missing step.
I have even tried including my new Z's characteristics in the classe and living the original SAP_EHS_1024_001_WASTE_CATALOG. (changing the enviroment parameter WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG to SAP_EHS_1024_001_WASTE_CATALOG) and it works.
I will like to change this characteristic by Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG
Phrase set to Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG.
enviroment parameter WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG= Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG
After matching up the master data It should work fine but I might be missing something to get it running ok.

I checked the funcion C14K_WASTECATLG_CHECK is in the value of the Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CODE characteristic

Getting error while using the data element in ztable

though i specified the length as 20 in dataelement when i am entering the dataelement i am getting this error
while i used help i got the following information
Number of positions < minimum number (1) for data type CHAR
Message no. DO253
Diagnosis
A minimum length is required for the specified data type.
This minimum length is not reached by the specified number of positions.
Procedure
Increase the number of positions or select a more appropriate data type with the possible entries help F4.

This is strange, you shouldn't even be able to activate the dataelement type char with a length of 0. Revisit your data element and make sure that the length shows to be greater than 0 and reactivate your data element to make sure the newest version is active. In case you are referencing a domain in your data element do the same with the domain after validating that everything is correct (you can also use the check function). Then go back to your table and reenter the data element before activating your table.

Error in Adobe form based in a xml interface when changing data element

The adobe form is called from a web dynpro.
The adobe form contain a page and subforms (positioned y flowered).
The form worked out perfectally.
Then edited a descriptive text in a data element, from se11. The form continues worked out correctelly.
Then modify a fixed text from the form. The form is activated.
Since this modification, the form stopped to work out, informing the following message:
"WebDynpro Exception: The ADS call has failed. You can find information about the cause in the error.pdf on the application server".
I have updated the nodes of the web dynpro, the xml interface of the form, is all activated and this is still not working.
Someone could help me? Does anyone know what it could be happened?
Is there a way to re-generate the form?

The data element is char 4. I have only changed descriptive texts.
I have take take all the objects to the previous version (data element, wd view, interface xml, adobe form), and the form is still not working.

In my A/P credit memo screen i have incorporated a column for adding reference to closed A/P Invoices. upon filling this field with DocNum of APInvoice certain other fields also get filled from an SQL query. One among them is the TaxCode. My problem is that the TaxAmount(LC) field at the last row of the matrix is not filled with the appropriate value, it remains 0. On trying to add the document or pressing the link button on the TaxAmount field a status bar error message pops up showing, 'Tax data is missing ArrayOffset 12, srcLineNum 0, srcGroupNum -1'.
Please Help me solve this issue.
