CO & SE process of Java not running.

HI All,
In our NW7.0 BI development Server, following processes are not running..
co.sapBID_DVEBM & se.sapBID_DVEBM (not working) (result of ps u2013e|grep BI)
ms.sapBIP_DVEBM & ig.sapBIP_DVEBM (working properly)
and even java processes are not running when we see thru portal
SAP is running properly & we can login thru GUI also..I checked in start profile also..
Any idea how to start above processes..??

Java not running in google chorme?

I am using Mavericks OS X with Java 7. Java is not running in Google Chrome. Why? But running in other browsers e.g. Safari, Opera. Is there is any solution to fix this problem?

Scheduled process flows are not running automaticaly-OWB database clonning

What I did:
1.     Cloned the entire OWB repository database from live (bidb01.bh.xyz.com) server to new (green1.bh.xyz.com) server.

2.     Followed the Metalink Note 434272.1 (How To Update Warehouse Builder After A Database Cloning)
Issue:
Before doing the step-2, every time we put the new database up the normal process flows which run every day (10 AM, 1 AM , 2 AM , 2 PM, etc.) got executed on the production environment and hung the original processes that are being run on the production environment.
After following the note 434272, scheduled process flows in production is working fine but in the new server it is not at all working.
Could anyone please help me to fix this?

The issue was resolved by renaming the workflow. What is learned here is, we should not have same workflow name for two different workspace.

Java not running with windows 7 and IE 9

Hi,
I have a new laptop window 7 operating system and i have downloaded Java 7 and have IE 9. But, my Oracle applications is not running.
Does/ did anybody have this problem?? Please advise.

J2se java not running

I keep getting an "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: CalendarTest"
I am getting this type of error for each time I run any of the files that "I am able to compile it", just not run it.
I am running XP os. I have run the same programs on a different computer and os and they work fine.
I have gone through and tried most of the suggestion, but have not come up with a working solution.

My First Java Program (for Windows)
Follow these steps:
1. Download and install the Java 2 SDK
2. Make sure your path and classpath are set correctly
3. Type in your first program
4. Compile your first program
5. Run your first program
6. Read the Java tutorial
1. Download and install the Java 2 SDK
Go to the Java website and download the Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/download.html
NOTE: Make sure you download the SDK (leftmost column) and not just the JRE. The JRE (Java Runtime Environment) only contains the stuff necessary to run Java programs, and not the compiler and other tools you need to develop Java programs.
After downloading, run the installation program to install the Java 2 SDK.
2. Make sure your path and classpath are set correctly
After installing, READ THE INSTALLATION NOTES! Lots of people get in trouble and are asking questions in the forums because they were too lazy to read and follow the installation notes. Especially, after installing the Java 2 SDK you need to add the 'bin' directory of the SDK to your PATH, otherwise you will get an error like "javac is not recognized as an internal or external command" or something similar.
If you've installed the Java 2 SDK in C:\j2sdk1.4.1_03, add C:\j2sdk1.4.1_03\bin to the PATH. How you should do this for different versions of Windows is described in the installation notes: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/install-windows.html
If you are using a version of the Java 2 SDK older than 1.4, you need to add the current directory (".") to the CLASSPATH environment variable. CLASSPATH is where Java looks for *.class files (compiled Java classes). Since Java 1.4, Java looks in the current directory automatically if the CLASSPATH isn't set, so you don't need to add "." to the CLASSPATH. Again, the installation notes explain what CLASSPATH is and how you should set it.
3. Type in your first program
Start Notepad and type in your first program:

}NOTE: Java is case-sensitive. Be careful to type in the program exactly as shown above. Don't type "Helloworld" or "helloworld" or anything else.
Save the file somewhere in a file called "HelloWorld.java". NOTE: Again, the case must be correct. Even though Windows is case-insensitive for filenames, the case must be correct, because Java is case-sensitive. Also watch out that Notepad doesn't append ".txt" to the filename (so that you end up with a file called "HelloWorld.java.txt"). To make things worse, Windows Explorer hides file extensions by default so you don't even see that the file is actually called "HelloWorld.java.txt" instead of "HelloWorld.java".
4. Compile your first program
Open a command prompt, CD to the directory that contains your source file and type:
javac HelloWorld.java
NOTE: Again, the case must be exactly right.
If all goes well, you'll not get any error messages and a file "HelloWorld.class" is generated.
5. Run your first program
To run your program, type:
java HelloWorld
NOTE: Don't type "HelloWorld.class". You are specifying the class name here, not the filename. Ofcourse, the case is important again.
6. Read the Java tutorial
Go to the Java website and follow The Java Tutorial:

The chapter "Your First Cup of Java" also explains in detail how to start with Java.

Java not running

I am running Mountain Lion on a new iMac.
I am failing to get Java to run in Safari, I have installed it, have tried to run the Java website applet that checks your version of Java
but it responds that my plug-in is inactive.
I have tried everything suggested on the Java webpage, allowed Java functionality in Safari security settings, deleted the Java cache, but no luck.
Any suggestions?

I just tried Java in Firefox, first nothing happened when I used the java webpage that verifies which version I have, but second time it worked. And my banking worked (didn't last time I tried, must've been the banks webpage..)
So it seems to only be affecting Safari.

Process flows are not running in OWB

I have a process flow which has a main process and this main process calls 3 subprocesses and 1 externel process. This workflow was running fine and it suddenly stopped working and when I try to run it from WF monitor it is giving the following error.

Error Stack Wf_Engine_Util.Function_Call(WB_RT_WORKFLOW_UTIL.EXECUTE_TASK, CLWNPKG, 200509200915, 37461, RUN).
I tried running it from OWB deployment manager but it didn't work.
I have checked all the process flows and the mappings all are deployed and all the mappings are running sepreatly. I tried dropping and deploying the process flow again and it deployed successfully without any error. We have tried rebooting the server, creating new PF location and new process flows, but nothing worked out. Becuase of this issue we can't run the whole process. Any help will be appriciated please.

May be your chain was in the wait at the scheduled time, as there were no adequate processes available at the app server to take up your job.
Check with your Basis ( and also your users ); about the optimal time to schedule the job and reschedule your jobs.

Own workflow process step (java) not listed in the generic Process step component

Based on the description Extending Workflow Funtionality I have used this sample to create a bundle with the CRXDE Development Environment. Almost just copying the code from the page (had to make some adjustments to correct program errors in this sample) an then build bundle. According to Note 2 this program should be seen in the list supplied by Process step Component when editing a workflow. But it is not there.

Ulrich,
CRXDE does not support the Java annotations which are listed in the documentations. When you want to leverage CRXDE (which is for development ... discouraged), you need to migrate to JavaDoc style annotations.
For documentation how you can setup a development workflow based on a Java IDE and maven please see [0].

Process chians r not running as per the scheduled time.

Unable to run the process chains(back ground).
Every day our process chains r runing properly but all of sudden they are not triggering on the specified time and there is no error msg.
pls give me some idea to resolve this....

Hi Ram,
You need to go and check the released Job of your Process Chain. Go to Planning View of your Process Chain, then right click on your start variant and check for "Display all Jobs".
Then it will show the list of all finished and released Job. Check whether the finished Jobs are having any delay. If there is any delay then it is related to your system performance. If not double click on the released JOb and check the schduling details.

Process chains are not running in a given time.

Hi BI Experts, Good afternoon.
Daily we are running the process chains in the night time. And the first process chain starts at 22:30(master data loading).
But from 5 days onwards, our process chains are running in the morning time around 10AM.
We informed to our BASIS team but they could not do anything.
What may be the problem.
Can anyone tell me the solution?

Chain Process execute does not runs...

Hi all,
One day ago had a problem with an ODS load and tried to resolve with tihs post Error while activating data in DSO
It was not possible (maybe I try to reloaded fully) to solve it, but now the problem is that process chains (alls) is not runnig after plannification (immediate or programmed)!
I see the jobs WAIT but not executed...

Process Chains is not running

Hi All,
I have created the Process Chains and Scheduled the Process chain on early morning 2.00AM. In STart variant, i have specified the time and date and saved the Process Chains. I have checked the Scheduled job in SM37 and found,BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER is scheduled. Today i have checked the Log view and found Chain has not executed.
Can u pls help on this issue.

Hi Jelina,
In the scheduling options,check whethre you have selected direct scheduling or with meta chain. Make the desired one and also if you want it to repeat periodically, then Check the Periodic job checkbox and select the periodic vaules from the Period Values Tab.

Javas not Running in Browsers

My problem is that almost no webpage with any kind of javascript is running any more i always get errors like this:

Java not running .class files

I rebooted my computer, and now whenever I type
java <filename> it responds with:
C:\Development\Java\Projects\Scratch>java T1
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: T1
However, it compiles fine:

Yes, it is the classpath. Strangely . is in my classpath in the environment settings in the control panel. I guess I can survive adding -cp . but it is kind of a pain in the a__ for no reason I can discern
