CO02-Component Overview-Batch Qty

Dear all,
This is a requirement in CO02 - Components overview screen.
Before releasing the Order , the Batch will be manually assigned in the CO02 - Components overview screen.
But to facilitate the user to select the correct batch from a set of available batches for the component ,
he needs Batch No, Vendor, Batch Qty.
While pressing F4 in Batch field, we can see only the Batch No & vendor. (Batch Qty is missing)
Is it possible to pullout the Batch qty along with the Batch No here in this screen?

Hi,
It is possible to do by Batch determination in production order, create batch search strategy (MBC1),
Create sort sequence by CU70.
Assign you sort sequence to sarch strategy.
Now when you create production order by dubble clicking on plan order, before release go to "component overview" tab,
select the line item and click on "batch determination" tab (at footer side) it will show number batches available for the material with there quantity,storage locations.

Isn't that just exactly what transaction CO02 does? CO01 is for creating production orders so what sense does it make to have it display mode only?
Maybe your goal is to stop then end user changing the component assignment that is automatically detected by the system. If so, personally I think a better starting point would be PP configuration or user authorizations rather than looking to change the screen by whatever method. As we don't know what you are trying to achieve it's hard to offer much more advice maybe all you need is to change transaction to CO02

Production Order Component Overview (SAPLCOMK - screen 120)

PP Experts,
Have a requirement to add column to the component overview screen within production order create, change and display (CO01,CO02 & CO03). In particular the column is the material master field - old material number (MARA-BISMT).
Any suggestions how to approach this requirement?

Material component Overview

Hi,
1) In the material component overview, there is a column called "Quantity Received". But no value is getting updated in this column when I am receiving materials. What can be the reason for this?
2) In the same report, "Shortfall Qty" column is also available. Is it the difference between the Requirement Qty and the Received Qty? If not, what is it?
3) What is the meaning of "Pegged Requirement"?

The second and the third questions are solved. My Shortfall qty column is displaying the correct values.
But the "Quantity Received" column is not at all displaying any values. I will explain to you my whole scenario.
Scenario:
In our project, we are using Internal activities for creating reservations of materials. So, no "GR qty" is being shown in the activity detail screen as in the case of External activity.
A WBS BOM is created for the whole project which consists of all the materials required. MRP is run on the WBS BOM and the procurement is done. When I check the "CN52N" after doing GR, the "GR Qty" column is not getting updated. The materials are both L and N.
Hope you have understood my scenario.

Insufficient Batched Qty available for Qty in Stock - cannot issue Stock

Hi Experts,
My customer has a batched managed stock item with a qty of 75 in stock. They are now trying to issue the 75 items, but there are only 5 available within existing batches.
In 2005 we were able to retrospectively add a batch for the missing batch qty (in this case 70) but it does not seem possible in 2007.
Is this possible in 2007?

You can issue the 5 out and then receipt the 75 in and and use the same batch number.

Need Component Overview details of Purchasing order

Need to get the details of the component overview of all the material data for that purchase order. (you can view that in ME23>item>component overview)

This field normally appears in the description ( which is nxt to component) check the same text line item description will appear in RESBD-MATXT.

EDI invoice for Batch qty.

Dear experts,
in a special scenario I would like that in the EDI outbound invoice Batch qty. which is not showing for segment E1EDP19 which is showing only the Batch nr., I wanted to use a BADI for EDI outbound invoice which uses the logic for transfering Batch qts. in the IDOC?
Does anynone know BADIs or any userexits for such scenario?

When IDOC is passed to the externnal system one uses BAPIs, what about before the IDOC is passed, I want the IDOC
content(BATCH QTY.), in the SAP itself, to have the Batch qty. passed in the IDOC.
The standard SAP shows only Batch nr. and not the BAtch qty.

Auto GR but no finish good in component overview in CO11N

Dear SAPper,
I use auto gr with control key PP03 standard SAP.
But when i do confirmation of the operation with PP03 control key, no finish good in
component overview in CO11N.
i ever asked about raw mat component always shown in component overview when CO11N although
i don;t user backflush. I got solution that in OPK4 i should untick "All Component" in good movement box.
is this the root cause my finish good doesn't shown either in component overview although i used auto gr.
The condition i need is :
1. i don't use backflush so no component shown in component overview in CO11N and it should save in screen of confirmation and not save in component overview screen
2. because auto GR is used so finish good should shown in component overview.

Hi Freddy,
It will not show the GR Quantity in th Component details of the CO11n.
The confirmed quantity will be the GR Quantity.
After posting the Confirmation, check the 101 movement for the Assembly with MB51..

Production Order - Component Overview - Storage location

Hi,
While i create Production orders, i do not see the storage locations for the components,listed in the component overview screen. I have maintained storage location & storage bins through MMSC transaction.
Am i missing any config setting, so that the storage location will be visible in the Production Order.

You have to maintain the production storage location in the Material master (or) in BOM.
In Material master MRP2 View, if you maintain the production storage location it is applicable where ever you use that material.
In BOM-->Select the component >Go to item details> select the "Status/Lng text tab"--> here you can maintain the Production storage location. If you maintain here it is specific to this BOM only.
Please check and revert.

In the production order component overview screen-MENU BAR is having following list
Order, Functions, Edit, Goto, u201CCOMPONENTu201D, Environment, System, Help.
In the above, if you left click the COMPONENT option there will be drill down option, in that there you have u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D
u2022 What is the functionality of this option (u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D) ?
u2022 If I select the BOM component in the component overview and I left click the COMPONENT option in the menu bar and select the u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D what will happenu2026.

This is for the Component selection according to the Characteristic Value it will take you to Class to which Characteristics are
assigned , say if your component selection based on the characteristics value say if your Hardness of the Raw material is
99% based on that your Yield would vary for the Finished Product .
You have created MIC 's with Hardness with characteristic value 95% , 96% , 97% and 98% etc....
Your Quality lab has given test value for this component as 99% so your component selection will be this characteristic value
as master data .
Assign Characterisctics to Class , Assign class to class type 023 / 022

BOM List in Component overview of maintenance order

Hi Friends
When we look at the structure list in the component overview screen to select the component in the maintenance order, the BOM list is shown only for the validity on the order creation date .
However subsequently the BOM had undergone changes ( new component has been added to the equipment BOM)
This new list is not available to enable us to select the component .
How can this be handled ?It would be better to have the structure list for the current day as validity !

SAP has replied to our issue as given below
When calling the structural list on the component screen the
start date of the order is taken into account. If you need the
structural list of another day (for example today) you will have to
reschedule the order.
On the header screen the display of the structural list is a general
functionality (shared with notification, functional location, etc.) and
the date of today is taken into account.
By opening the Structure (Folder Components ) the system checks the
earl.start time form your order and the valid from date of all
components in your BOM.In the structure display you can only find the
components where the valid from date have the same range as the
early .start time of your order.
This is SAP Standard Logic.
You can perhaps try user Exit IWO10029 which may be of some benefit in
your case.

Display Material provided by a vendor in Purchasing doc Component Overview.

Hello Gurus,
Is there a way to dsiplay the material which is set as, "Material provided by a vendor" in BOM, in purchasing document
Item->Component->Overview?
I know that matreial provided by a vendor doesn't create requirement so thats why. Is there a way to just display that material when exploded in pruchase order?
Any help would be really appreciated.

You are right we want to have both B and C to show up in the component overview.
Even though B is provided by Vendor and we dont generate requirements for it.

Storage Location in Production Order Component Overview

Hi All,
When creating a Production Order using CO0, the Component Overview will list out the corresponding BOM for the Finished Good. We have defined a number of plants and storage locations. I see here that the plant and storage location is automatically determined in the components overview. I would like to set defaults for these, may I ask where in SPRO is this configured?

Storage location in production order is pre-setting in bom component level/and MPR2 view,
First priority is Bom Component level, i will transfer Production order only this BOM if maintianed here.
second priorty is Material master date in MRP2 view, it will effected all components and all bom which used this components.
