Dear guru ,
For the list of collective conversion of planned order I need to add for every planned order a new column regarding the pegged requirement element (order , safety stock , pir , etc)
Do you know a technical solution to achieve these two requirements :

How to add a formula column in a report
Hi
I have made a report based on a query.
There are 3 columns in the query and all the 3 are displayed.
Now I want to add a new column (fomula column) to the report.
I want to write a query inside the formula column. To execute the query col1, col2 and col3 values are required in the formula column.
Could you please tell me how to add a formula column in the report and how to pass database column value to inside the formula column
regardsHere is how you would create a formula column:
Open data model of the report.
Formula column button is on the left side of the tool palette.
Click on that button.
Now click in the query group where you want to place the formula column.
You would see a new field something like CF_1. That is the formula column.
Double click on the field CF_1. It will open property inspector.
You would see, Datatype of the formula column is Number. Change this as per your requirement.
Double click on PL/SQL Formula property. It would open up a editor. Here you can write the code.
And now to access the data model column here, you can use : and column name. i.e. :col1 or :col2, etc
And remember you have to return the value back to the formula column. Like this: RETURN(some value).
You can also take a help from here:

Hope this helps. -

How to add 1 more column in standard portal UWL and map the values.
Hi
I have one issue/requirement, please help me out on that also.
In portal UWL, i want to add one more column TICKET ID COLUMN, and ticket id value I will be putting as work item ID of abap Workflow, so whenever approver opens his portal UWL, in first column i want to show ticket ID say 00012345, so how to add this ticket ID column in standard portal UWL and how to put/map value of work item in that column.
My idea behind this is, when ever say employee wants to know the status about his ticket ID, he can simply ask his manager regarding the ticket status by referring to that ticket ID which manager can easily find in his portal UWL in that extra TICKET ID COLUMN .
Do I have to change anything in SAP inbox also ? Do i have to add 1 more colum in sap R/3 inbox also ? and will adding 1 more colum in sap inbox (R/3 inbox), will create automatically one more ticket ID colum in portal UWL also ?
please let me know , as i do not want to add 1 extra column in R/3 inbox, just i want in portal UWL extra ticket ID column should come and i want to put workitem ID generated at the start of workflow, in that colum in portal UWL
please help me on this.
Thanks...
Edited by: User Satyam on May 29, 2011 6:16 AMHi Satyam,
These are called custom attributes. Here is a powerpoint that may be able to assist you with the documentation that the other poster gave you too.
Always remember too when you make a change on the backend R/3 side, you must reregister your UWL connector. And yes, the column must be available on the backend R/3 side. We can't create on the fly columns in the UWL, that have no reference to the backend system in this case.

Hi experts,
In TCode, VL31N, at the item table control, I want to add a new column. How do I go about it. Is it modifying the SAP standard or can I enhance the table control to add my own data.
Warm Regards,
Abdullahyes nagaraj,
I too searched for the exits available. The inbound delivery may have more than one purchase order items which may be similar. Manual entry will increase chances of an error and it will be very cumbersome for the user to find the purchase order it refers to and then enter the values required.
Is there any other solution apart from making a Z. Because this is not in line with best practices.

I want to add image in column is it possible then how to add image in data base what data type we need to give we required any casting please show me one example
jitendraHi again,
Several points that can help more:
1. If you are working with Dot.Net, then I highly recommend read the first link that you got! This is nice and simple coding. Another option is this link which is even better in my opinion:
http://www.dotnetgallery.com/kb/resource21-How-to-store-and-retrieve-images-from-SQL-server-database-using-aspnet.aspx
2. As i mention above both link use the column's type image. There are several other option of working with Files. In most of my applications architecture I find that it is better to use a column which let us use any type of file and not an image column.
In choosing the right column's type for your needs basically your fist question should be if if you want to store your data inside relational database environment or outside relational environment. It is a good idea to look for blogs on this issue. Next
if you chose to store your data inside then you need to chose the right column type according to your server version. I highly recommend to look for blogs on the differences between those column's types: IMAGE,

How to add few more columns in UWL screen
Hi all
Currently by default we are able to see the columns in UWL header as "Subject", "From", "Sent Date" , "Due Date" , "Status" .
now i want to add few more columns apart from standard columns.
can you please let me know how to add our own columns in UWL header ?? if it is XML changes then pls let me know which xml file exactly we need to change??
Thanks
SunilHi Harini
actually Standard XML file is not necessary for changing the column names in the UWL .
we can use otherway as follows.
go to system admin->UWL administration->click to configure item types and custom views using a wizard then it will take you to another screen -> select the radio button "Customize the look of the UWL main page" click on next then you can select what ever task item you want to change and click on the button respective button at the right end then it will take you to new screen there i added new columns what ever required and saved also but the same one is not reflecting in UWL....
can you please check the same in ur machine and let me know if any other things are required to be done and why this not been done our requirement??

Need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction
Hi ABAP Gurus,
I have to do a screen enhancement for transaction C223.
Below is the requirement:
need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction.
there is no customer exits, screen exit or user exit present for this transaction C223, i have found one enhancement spot for this transaction.
i dont have any idea how to do this in standard transaction C223, the table control in C223 saves the data to MKAL table and the table control uses the structure MKAL_EXPAND in the screen program.
i have created an append structure for the 2 fields to the standard table MKAL.
Can anyone please suggest me how this can be done in standard screen C223, will the enhancement spot can be used to do this....
please sugest...
Thanks & RegardsHi Santosh,
Thanks for the reply. I have looked into this Enhancement Spot CPFX_SCREEN_SET , inside this there is only one method INPUT_DISABLED having below parameters
IM_MKAL Importing Type MKAL Production Version
EX_MSGID Exporting Type SY-MSGID Messages, Message
EX_MSGTY Exporting Type SY-MSGTY Messages, Message
EX_MSGNO Exporting Type SY-MSGNO Messages, Message
EX_MSGV1 Exporting Type SY-MSGV1 Messages, Message
EX_MSGV2 Exporting Type SY-MSGV2 Messages, Message
EX_MSGV3 Exporting Type SY-MSGV3 Messages, Message
EX_MSGV4 Exporting Type SY-MSGV4 Messages, Message
EX_INPUT_DISABLE Exporting Type CHAR1 Display Only if X Was Set
the BADI definition present here is a SAP internal so we cant implement the BADI , but we can created a enhancement spot implementation for this. as per my understanding on this the enhancement spot is only for making the table control fields display / change . i dont think this can be used to add two new coloumns to C223 table control.
I am not sure thats why seeking your help/valuable sugestion on this.
Please provide your sugestion on this , so that i can come to conclusion on this issue.
Thanks & Regards

I have 2 timestamp columns in a table
Columnname type
LoginTime Timestamp
LogoutTime TimeStamp
Need to find total hours... how to add 2 timestamp columns.. help me...Abi,
As pointed out by Olaf, you are looking for the DATETIME type and not TIMESTAMP. The latter is just a rowversion value that helps to identify the version of each row inserted. The DATETIME type helps you to store YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.xxx format values as
required.
If your requirement is to find out the DIFFERENCE numebr of hours between the login and logout then the below query 1 shud help.
(Im not sure what you mean by TOTAL hours - ADDING the two timestamp values.. If your looking at the total number of hours passed from day zero, then query might as well help. Pls let us know if otherwise)
create table #temp
LoginTime datetime,
Logouttime datetime
insert #temp select getdate(),'2014-03-18 23:04:42.790'
insert #temp select getdate()-0.5,'2014-03-18 18:04:42.790'
insert #temp select getdate(),'2014-03-18 20:04:42.790'
--QUERY1:Finding the difference between the Login and logout times
select
Logintime,
Logouttime,
datediff(hour,LoginTime,Logouttime) as diff_hours
from #temp
--QUERY2:To find the SUM of hours of Login and logout
select
Logintime,
Logouttime,
datediff(hour,0,Logouttime) + datediff(hour,0,Logintime) as SUM_hours
from #temp
--cleanup
drop table #temp
Thanks,
Jay

Seeded Search Page ( PO History ) Addding new Criteria columns
Hi ,
I have a requirement wherein i need to customize PO History Search Page to add 2 new columns Supplier Name and Supplier Site as criteria. I was able to extend the Results VO but how do i proceed with adding new columns in the criteria region. Please provide me the steps.
also, somewhere i read in this forum if the construction mode for the query region is autocuztomization criteria then we cannot customize the seeded page. please do provide me an alternative
Thanks,
Rajesh KhatriHi Ramkumar,
I am doing the following steps to run the seeded page PosRevisionHistoryPG ( Under Purchasing :-
1) copied entire pos folder ( $java_top/oracle/apps/pos ) under java_top to my local machine.
So my local machine has the foll directory structure
jdev_home/myclasses/oracle/pos and jdev_home/myprojects/oracle/pos
2) added jdev_home/myclasses/oracle/pos to my classpath.
3) Created a new empty OA Project. ( name - rkposchng.jpr , default package - > rkposchng.oracle.apps.pos )
4) Created a new empty Business Component Package under rkposchng.oracle.apps.pos
5) Imported the server.xml to my project from jdevphome/myprojects/oracle/apps/pos/changeorder/server.xml
6) Imported PosRevisionHistoryPG.xml ( seeded) to my project. This file was not there under java_top. I had all PG , RN ( xml files) file
from $POS_TOP/mds/changeorder/webui and copied under jdev_home/myprojects/oracle/pos and jdev_home/myprojects/oracle/pos/changeorder/webui
7) Ran the page from jdeveloper and its not returning any rows. On running i received 71 warnings and 0 errors.
From the above you can see that i am not changing anything but still no rows are returned.
Do i need to import any more files in step 5. I am not getting any clue what is the problem.
Below are the warnings :-
