Cockpit browser script error

Hi,
I have several customers using the cockpit. When the default "Home" cockpit loads, the browsers are set to the SAP website.
The customers are getting several script errors while the browsers are loading. I also get the same behaviour on some but not all of our servers.
Does any one know what IE / Java settings need to be changed to stop this annoying error on load?
Thanks

Hey Julie,
Please kindly check in 'Agent Administration' if SMD Agent is running and is
connected to SolMan if you can't see the Agent please check if it is
visible in SLD, if it is please connect it to SolMan and then run setup again. Otherwise please uninstall SMD Agent and install it again connecting it directly to your SolMan using HTTP Connection via Message Server.
As per the mentioned note: Please refer to SAP note 1232928 ,You need to switch to the dba cockpit that has authorizations to change the backend system then uninstall the backend, and then you can
do this configuration step without the above error.
You may want to refer to the  'Diagnostics Agent Setup Guide' available at
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/RCA_Home?original_fqdn=wiki.sdn.sap.com
Hope this helps.
Rgds,

    Hi manjunath,
    I had the same error on a similar config (win2k, ie 5). We tried several
    other configuration (with newer browsers) and didn't have the same
    experience.
    I'm almost sure that the problem is the browser, which is too old and
    doesn't support some featrue used by the webapp. If you can do it I
    suggest to upgrade to a newer version.

  • Firefox 4.0 is my default browser, and I am receiving a script error message when I try to view online images in Family Tree Maker 2011, a genealogy program. Have not had problems until Firefox 4.0. Can't seem to find a setting in Firefox to fix this.

    Error is as follows: Line: 63 Char: 4344 Error: Unable to get value of the property 'offsetHeight': object is null or undefined Code: 0 URL: http://yui.yahooapis.com/combo?2.8.0/build/yuiloader-dom- event/yuiloader-dom-event.js&2.8.0/build/dragdrop/dragdrop- min.js&2.8.0/build/stylesheet/stylesheet- Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Y/N buttons."

    I see. Well, I just tried to make IE my default browser, but it did not solve the problem. I receive the same script error when I view the image. (I may not have explained this thoroughly enough at first - I do get to view the image after answering the error message, but the print button embedded in the window doesn't work. Before, I never had a problem with viewing or printing.)
    I imagine that at this point I will either need to communicate this to the IE people, or possibly revert to an older version of IE.

  • Why do I get a "script error" message from Adobe flash player?  It is installed as a part of my browser.IE 11

    Why do I get a "script error"  from flash player when it is not installed separately?  It is part of my browser--IE 11

    Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. Hopes this helps someone..

  • Java Script error message IE 5.1 browser

    This all started about a week or so ago. While not every time, but often enough to be be a nuisance, I keep getting script error messages. It happens while webpages are loading. The message alerts of the Java script error and asks if I wish to keep loading the scripts or not. If I click yes, or if I click no, the page will usually still load. I am wondering if the webpage programmers have added something new, or if something is wrong with the IE browser?
    Cube G4 450 mhz   Mac OS 9.2.x   384 MB

    Thanks Robbie,
    I took your advice and upgraded, maybe, to IE 5.1.7, or at the least I reinstalled Internet Explorer.
    I just want to say what a great blessing is the USB memory stick to people like me. I don't have, and I can't get, DSL broadband. If I could I would like a shot. Not having that I trundle to the local branch library, plug-in my memory stick, download whatever I want, and trundle back home with it. What would have taken a half day to down load on dial up, takes about 5 minutes at the library.
    While I was there I also downloaded mozilla 1.3.1, the latest version of stuffit expander, talked to some nice people, and brought home a good book to read in the bargain.
    It was a good day. Kurt Vonngut was right, "People are made to f..t around."

  • "Invoke a Browser Script" Action in OBIEE 11g

    Follow website : http://www.rittmanmead.com/2012/07/navigating-to-bi-content-in-obiee11g-and-passing-multiple-parameters/
    In file "D:\oracle\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\_WL_user\analytics_11.1.1\silp1v\war\res\b_mozilla\actions\UserScripts.js"
    I added the following function(s) to "UserScripts.js":
    USERSCRIPT.customPortalPageNav = function(arg_array){
    var str="parent.PortalPageNav(1";
    for(args in arg_array){
    var arg_name=args;
    var value=arg_array[arg_name];
    str+=",'"+value+"'";
    str+=")";
    eval(str);
    USERSCRIPT.customPortalPageNav.publish={parameters:[
              new USERSCRIPT.parameter("1","Dashboard","/shared/FOLDERNAME/_portal/DASHBOARDNAME"),
              new USERSCRIPT.parameter("2","Page","Insert your Page"),
              new USERSCRIPT.parameter("3","Table","Insert Table"),
              new USERSCRIPT.parameter("4","Column","Insert Column"),
              new USERSCRIPT.parameter("5","Value","Insert Value")]};
    However, this function "USERSCRIPT.customPortalPageNav" cannot be displayed in "Invoke a Browser Script" Action.
    If I put the function name "USERSCRIPT.customPortalPageNav" directly in the "Invoke a Browser Script" Action dialogue, an error message will be shown. It said:
    The function "USERSCRIPT.customPortalPageNav" does not exist.
    Please check with your administrator that this function has been setup correctly in the user-defined script file.
    What I have done wrongly? Or, how can I check the "UserScripts.js" file path is correct? How can I find a correct path for "UserScripts.js">

    Hi Dpka,
    Yes, I do. But, still the same.
    In fact, I can see two sample functions in "Invoke a Browser Script" Action. (i.e. USERSCRIPT.putUrlInFrame, USERSCRIPT.example_displayParameters).
    I edit "USERSCRIPT.example_displayParameters", replace "new USERSCRIPT.parameter( 'p3', 'Enter value for Param 3' )" to "new USERSCRIPT.parameter( 'p3', 'Enter value for Param 3', 'p3 default value' )".
    Still, there is no default value for "p3".
    So, I wonder whether my file path is wrong. But, how can I know where is the exact path?

  • Still having a problem with Firefox going to "restart a session" even after re-installing Firefox. Keeps giving me "script error" when closing down. How do I fix this?

    As stated previously...I have removed and re-installed Firefox, but am still getting "script error" when shutting it down and going to "restore session" when opening. Please advise what to do about this problem. Thank you.

    Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
    Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
    Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
    Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
    The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.

  • Very Slow and Script Errors

    Contribute 6.5 is very slow to publish new content to our site www.mrii.ie, even bringing up a page for editing is slow. So far I have:
    Tested the the FTP settings using passive and active connections.
    Using an external FTP program, downloading from the site is very quick 2. I checked all the file permissions on the server and they are correct. In fact Contribute will publish the changes eventually, just very slowly prior to the actual upload which seems pretty quick.
    I also used a plain page with a small amount of text and again the pre-processing seems slow.
    I removed the temporary sites and configuration folders and still no change.
    I created a new connection.
    As an aside, how do I disable script errors in the Contribute browser window?

    OK, found it.  This fixed my performance issue.

  • Script Error in SE80 WDA Workbench WDYN Comp Layout

    Hello folks,
    I'm not sure whether to post this in the Basis Forum or somewhere completely different, but I'll try here first:
    We've got a strange occurence since today within TA SE80 when opening WebDynpro Components and Navigating into the Layout of a View. The following script error is thrown repeatedly:
    It doesn't seem to be a local problem since all co-workers I asked to check this were able to reproduce it. For some, me including, unfortunately, the error reoccurs infinitely, i.e. the error is thrown infinitley so that I can't even close the modus anymore and have to kill my SAP-GUI via the task manager. Naturally, developing is not possible at the moment :-/
    I haven't found any threads/notes (neither manually nor via ANST) concerning this particular problem yet. Has anyone ever encountered something similar?
    We are using WinXP SP3 with IE7 (please suppress the urge to tell me to use an up-to-date OS/Browser, I can't helpt it).
    Backend System: NW AS 7.03 ABAP Stack 731 Level 11, ECC 606 (EHP 6) with SAP_HR 604 Level 73 and EA_HR 607 (HR-Renewal 1) Level 24
    Cheers, Lukas
    EDIT: P.S. I haven't implemented any notes recently that could cause this and nobody else I have asked so far did so either.
    Message was edited by: Lukas Weigelt

    Hi Kiran,
    unfortunately the note is long obsolete for my system (see my opening post). I checked every MIME-Object (both those mentioned in the note and those that are not) for duplicates nevertheless - there are none.
    That you pointed me to this note got me thinking though. We have recently applied several UR-Notes up to Patch 731 ST13/II in consultation with the SAP DEV support for unified rendering (because we opened some messages concerning accessibility problems). Could this script error be a side effect of doing that? Up until now, there have never been problems applying UR-Notes higher than the actual current Stack, this would be the first time.
    I also checked for UR patches again today and found there now is one more patch available we have not yet implemented, i.e. Patch 731 ST13/III.... maybe I should implement that one as well, clutching at straws.
    In any case thank you a lot so far, Kiran, thanks to you pointing to the note 1608760 I finally know what to search for, i.e. "view designer" and component BC-DWB-WD-ABA. My next step will be searching for more notes concerning this component. I'll get back here and put down some feedback once I've searched a bit.
    Cheers, Lukas
