Cockpit Dashboard Partially Obscured

I've enabled Cockpit and the modules are initializing, but there appears to be a display, or layout problem once the widgets load. As you can see in the screenshot, the there's an extremely large white margin that's obscuring the top of the dashboards. However, if I open a SAP form, such as Sales Order, or Company Details, the white space doesn't block those forms. I'm going to try disabling, and enabling cockpit again to see if that resolve issue, but I'd like to get this posted in case anyone else has encountered this bug.

I probably should have pointed this out in my initial post...
I have already spent time looking through the SCN and searching for a solution, and I've already reviewed the SAP note:  1619422 - B1ic_Troubleshooting Guide for B1ic
Dashboard/Cockpit
This Troubleshooting guide is related to connection problems and integration authentication failures.
The problem I am having is after I've already successfully initialized the cockpit. I've included screenshots in my original post to show that it's an aesthetic issue. If I disable the cockpit, the massive white bar margin disappears. When I enable again, the white space shows up again, obscuring the top edges of the widgets, and preventing me from moving, or editing them...
I did fail to mention in my initial post though, that this is a new demo install with SBO 9.1.

  • Imported graphics partially obscurred by black rectangles in PDF

When I PDF a document with a lot of imported graphics, alot of the graphics are partially obscurred by black rectangles. I'm using the Adobe PDF print driver. Many of the graphics are BMPs (I inherited the files, I know it's a dumb format to use).
I've tried reimporting the graphics but still no luck.
    I'm using structured Frame + SGML 6.0.
    Any ideas?

It's running in emulation mode on a UNX box, so perhaps that makes a difference, but I think it has something to do with the graphics, since they don't always show the black box.

  • How do i customize the new firefox so i can see the full html "title tag"? Its partially obscured in this new version.

I am a webmaster/work in site development and need to see the FULL "title tag" or browser title of every page I visit. It's now partially obscured and I have to "view source" (the html source) in order to see the FULL title tag. Before it was completely visible; now I can only see a small part of it. How do I fix it so I can see the entire thing? I cannot drag the tab bar to make it bigger.

  • Why might some sub-picture hilights be partially obscured?

I create a sub-picture or use a  standard sub-picture hilight (e.g. the music notes from the "Blue Notes"  video button template).  Using say 3 or 4 of this same hilights on a  Menu.  They appear to be complete and look perfect when previewed.  But  when burned to a DVD, often one or more of these sub-pictures will be  partially blocked out in appearance.  I have worked through all   obscuring possibilities. I have ensured that buttons boundaries are well  away from each other.   I have checked the menus in photoshop and  ensured that the offending hilight's group is top level.  There appears  to be no invisible blockages.  Yet like I say - all appears fine in  Encore preview, but when watching the DVD, one or more buttons will  still be partially blocked.   All buttons continue to work perfectly.
I have  spent many hours without solving this, so any thanks for reading - any  clue  would be really welcome.

  • Google Toolbar suggestions are partially obscured and how do I load that toolbar last?

I have seen this issue before on a different computer. The Roboform toolbar partially blocks the suggestions from the Google Toolbar's search feature. I believe that the fix that worked once was to re-order and force the Google Toolbar to load last in Firefox in the about.config settings. How do I do that because I forgot?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == Unknown on her computer.

You can try dragging the Google Toolbar below the Roboform Toolbar in "Customize". View > Toolbars > Customize (or left click in the toolbar area of Firefox) will open the "Customize Toolbar" panel. While the "Customize Toolbar" panel is open, drag the Google Toolbar down, when finished, click "Done" in the Customize panel.
If that does not work, have a look at this add-on:

Number of journals waiting to be processed
Percentage of month end tasks complete
    Sub-ledgers closed on time
    Number of journals processed
Number of man hours to do month end
Number of unplanned hours to do month end

    - you configure it within ECC using TCode CLOCOC and use it via TCode CLOCO.
    - closing cockpit dashboard would proivde most of the information you have.

  • Two panel in a split pane - one gets obscured

My application uses a vertical splitframe with 2 Jpanel objects. The top panel has a grid bag layout. The bottom panel has a boxframe layout. The application displays a list with an enter field and several buttons in the top panel. The bottom panel has a text area, text field and a single button. The top panel is for displaying and editing a list . I load a list from a file and it displays just fine. The bottom panel is for entering commands and displaying results. When I use the bottom panel the top panel suddenly becomes partially obscured because it is too big for the frame. It now has scrollbars, which it did not have when first instantiated. How can I force the frame to grow with the top panel or keep the top panel from getting bigger when the scroll bars are instantiated? Or is there a better solution?

It turns out. My problem had nothing to do with size. It had to do with needing a scroll pane for my bottom panel. I mistakenly did not add it. What I thought was the top panel 'growing' was actually my bottom panel pushing the top pane out. I created the scroll pane but did not add it to the JPanel, I added the JTextArea alone to the JPanel by mistake. oops.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Cockpit setting

Is there a way to add a logo to any widget inside the cockpit?  I have a client that has multiple Db's and they would like to visually show the users what DB they are working in by adding a jpeg or something to the main cockpit dashboard. They do not like the line above stating Hello, xxxxx then giving the DB name. Its too small.
    Thank you!

  • Image cutouts in Keynote

I have come across some interesting Keynote files that contain some slides that I really like. One uses what is called a 'cutout' on top of an image/photo, but it is not part of the master slide, and I am not certain how to recreate a similar effect on my own.
The slide is a standard slide with a header text box only. Then there is an image, which is actually a screen capture of a dialog box from an application. On top of this is a 'cutout', which appears to be another image file, the same size as the slide (or larger) that has some transparency applied, and a rectangular region within the center of the slide so that a selected area of the dialog is clear and the remainder is greyed-over, simulating a highlighting of that area of the dialog.
I can copy and paste these two images, but the 'cutout' just appears to be a large black rectangle with a smaller rectangle drawn within it. I have used Canvas and Graphic Converter to attempt to examine it, but cannot determine exactly what it is or how to manipulate this one or create a new one from scratch. I do NOT use PhotoShop, and likely never will -- too expensive and I do not do enough graphics to justify the price or the size of the package on my system.
I like the effect and would like to use it myself, but do not understand how. I have read several postings here that indicate this can be done, and that shapes in Keynote can even be used as cutouts, but I cannot figure out how to achieve this. Inside Keynote 3 I can apply a cutout to an image, but that simply lets me mask all but a part of the image -- I want to have the cutout cover the image and permit the hole expose a portion of the image but the remainder to only partially obscure the remainder, so that it appears dimmed.
Using Canvas or GraphicConverter, how do I create the cutout image itself?

I created a Keynote file similar to the one you describe, perhaps you are referring to this:
    http://www.keynoteuser.com/~newsimages/WWDC_ideas.zip
The cutout I used is not an image but is a custom shape used to grey out background distractions. If you would like to use this shape, simply copy and paste it into your own presentation. Because this is a shape, you can adjust the fill color, opacity and line thickness to fit your presentation. For a light colored background I recommend a black fill color with 30-40% opacity. For a light colored background use a white fill color. Since the shape is much larger than the slide, you can reposition it to fit over the area you wish to highlight. Changing the height and width of the shape also changes the size of the inner rectangle, allowing you to customize it over your area of interest.
Creating your own cutout shapes is fairly easy. I created mine with Inkscape, saved as SVG then imported the shape into Keynote with svg2key. Inkscape is a free application, but runs in the X11 environment, which you can install from the Developer Tools on you Tiger installation disc.
Other cheap alternatives to Photoshop/Illustrator are EasyDraw, Intaglio, OmniGraffle, Stone Create and Lineform.
Instructions for creating cutout shapes are similar for these apps, but here's how to do it with Canvas X. I am not very familiar with Canvas, so you'll have to bear with me.
    1. Draw a rectangle roughly 1000x1500 pixels in size (larger than your keynote slide).
    2. Draw a second rectangle or oval shape roughly 100x150 pixels in size (1/10 the size of the first).
    3. Center the smaller rectangle over the first
    4. Select both rectangles then choose Effects > Combine... from the menu. Then select "Subtract Front" from the options.
    5. You should now have a cutout shape. Fill this with black.
At this point you will need to decide how you are going to use the cutout. If you want to use it as a shape in Keynote, save it as a SVG file then use my command-line utility svg2key to move it into Keynote. I was able to do this with Canvas X, but an older version of Canvas may not have SVG export capability.
If you want to use the cutout as an image, try saving it as a PNG file and preserve the transparency. Theoretically this should work, but for some reason the transparency was lost when I tried this with Canvas. It always works for me in Photoshop. Not sure if it's my ignorance or if this is a bug in Canvas. Anyway I simply cheated by copying the shape from Canvas, launched Preview and selected "New from Clipboard", then saved the file as PNG with alpha. I was able to import this image into Keynote with the alpha transparency intact. In Keynote, adjust the opacity of the cutout to 40% with the inspector tool to give it the grayed out look.

  • Contacts drop-down menu blocked by on screen keyboard in text messages

Whenever I draft a new text message I put the cursor in the contact box and type the first letter of the name of the person I am trying to contact.  If I have more than 3 people in my phone whose names start with that letter, the drop down menu becomes partially obscured by the on screen keyboard.  If I attempt to scroll down on the menu, it selects whomever I happen to press.  My attempts to minimize the keyboard have been futile.  I understand I can work around this by going into contacts and selecting someone to text, but the problem is pretty aggravating.  Please help!

  • CUSTOM REPORT PROBLEM - REP-1213

    I am a student trying to complete a project. I developed a
"custom" report form which uses 5 tables to generate the report.
I have entered the 'fields' at various locations on the report
form and when I run the report I get the following error message:
    "REP-1213: Field 'client_id' references column 'CLIENT_ID' at a
    frequency below its group."
I have presented this problem to my instructor who does not have
a solution to resolve this problem for me. Is there a solution
for this? Or ... does Oracle not allow for 'custom designing'
of reports? How does someone develop a custom made invoice or
other report for a client without encountering these problems?
Anybody's assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Title: Understanding Frames
    Revision Number 0
    Product: Oracle Reports
    Platform: GENERIC
Abstract: This document provides a better
    understanding
of frames and the layering concept.
    Also
    discusses frequency errors.
    Keywords: REPEATING;FRAME;VARIABLE;FIXED;EXPAND;
    CONTRACT;FREQUENCY;
    INTRODUCTION
There are two types of frames: Repeating frames and non-repeating
    frames.
Each is a visual representation of actual 3GL code that underlies
    the action
of fetching and printing the rows selected from tables.
    Non-repeating frames
act as containers and can be mapped back to the pseudocode: BEGIN
    and END.
Repeating frames are representations of the Fetch Cycle and can
    be mapped to
the pseudocode: WHILE NOT END OF TABLE and END WHILE.
Graphically, frames are stacked one atop the other. This may not
    be
immediately apparent. It is difficult to distinguish which frame
    is beneath
another. A quick way to see the three-dimensional layering is to
    change the
color of the frames. Make each frame a different color. This
    will create a
three-dimensional effect as frames above will partially obscure
    those beneath
it. You will also notice the layering structure when using the
    object
    navigator in Reports V2.5
    NON-REPEATING FRAMES
Non-repeating frames are not record-related. They print as often
    as the
object in which they are enclosed, or to which they are attached
    by an anchor.
They do not have a print direction.
    REPEATING FRAMES
Repeating frames are place holders for records. Repeating frames
    print once
for each record of a group and control record-level formatting.
    Reports will
generate one repeating frame for each group when you create a
    default layout.
Reports will place containers of columns inside of the frames.
    Each repeating
frame retrieves only one row in its fetch cycle for any one
    repetition. Until
it is constrained by another frame, it will repeat itself until
    the while loop
condition can no longer be satisfied.
    VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL SIZING
The Vertical Sizing of a repeating frame will default to FIXED if
    all the
objects in the repeating frame are fixed. If the repeating frame
    encloses an
object (e.g. field, frame) that grows, then the vertical sizing
    defaults to
    VARIABLE or EXPAND.
    FIXED
If the Vertical Size of the frame is FIXED then the object's
    height is the
same on each logical page, regardless of the size of the objects
    or data
within it. Truncation of data may occur. The height of the
    object in the
layout editor is the actual height of the object at runtime. No
    special
symbol is indicated on the frame in the layout editor.
    VARIABLE
If the frame's Vertical Sizing Attribute is VARIABLE and there is
    nothing
below it, it collapses. For example, if it normally is four lines
    long and
only one row is returned, then it will not print three blank
    lines but will
actually collapse the output to one line. If you drag the
    position of the
fields downward, the space above will not collapse because of the
    IMPLICIT
ANCHOR. The object will expand or contract vertically to
    accommodate the
objects or data within it. The height shown in the layout editor
    has no
effect on the object's height at runtime. The vertical sizing
    attribute
functions as if you used a combination of contract and expand. A
    diamond
symbol is indicated on the frame in the layout editor.
    EXPAND
If the frame's Vertical Sizing Attribute is set to EXPAND, it
    will begin at a
minimum size defined by the frame, and will expand as necessary
    to accommodate
more data or lines that exceed the length of the column. An
    equal sign symbol
is indicated on the frame in the layout editor.
    CONTRACT
If the frame's Vertical Sizing Attribute is set to CONTRACT, the
    vertical size
of the object decreases if the formatted objects or data within
    it are short
enough, but it cannot increase to accommodate larger data.
    Truncation may
occur. A circle is indicated on the frame in the layout editor.
    FREQUENCY ERRORS
You may receive frequency errors when a repeating frame is moved
    or deleted,
thus changing the layering of the frames. Often, users may
    attempt to correct
this error by adding the deleted frame back, but this does not
    fix the
problem. The existence of the frame is not enough, even it is
    does not
overlap other objects in the layout. The frame must also be in
    the right
position within the hierarchy. In addition to recreating the
    deleted frame,
you must push the new frame to the right layer using the ARRANGE
    option on the
    Layout menu.
If you move an object outside its native frame, then you must
    enclose it
within a repeating frame to group it within the same loop.

  • Putting a still image in a menu frame

    Hello,
I am making a DVD menu using a standard template. There is a frame in the template to take a still image. When I put an image in this frame only part of the original still is shown. I have tried resizing the image but to no effect.
Can anyone advise how I can get the whole image, or at least the part I want shown, in the frame?
    Thank you
    Jim

Are you saying that you're replacing an entire background for a template or that this is a template with a drop zone (Place Video Here placeholder)?
Most drop zone templates have an area you should be able to resize your photo to fit. Other templates may have foreground graphics that can get in the way and partially obscure the background.
    Which are you seeing?

  • Problem with Property Panel

    WinXP Sp3
In CS4, the Property Panel at the bottom of the page shows

We are having the same issue with the Remote Panels.  Occasionally when a user using remote panels releases
control of the panel the LabView program crashes with an Error 1 code at some of the property nodes.
Some of the property nodes are writes and some are reads.  Which one it errors on differs each time.
We are currently using Labview 8.2.1.  The program was originally written in Labview 7.0.  We did not
    have this problem in 7.0.
I have been progressively removing some of the "offending" property nodes, but LabView just errors out with a
code of 1 on a different property node.
I believe there is a bug in the NI code for the remote panel somewhere.
If anyone knows a good workaround I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for any help,

  • Best way to repaint/refresh JFrame classes.

    Hello everyone,
I am developing a small application for my studies. I have several classes many representing a user form allowing interaction with my system.
One of my first class instances is a Menu Screen from which the user can for example update their details. When the Update Details frame is closed by the user I invoke
    frameName.setVisible(false);
frameName.dispose();This removes the Update Details frame and the Menu Screen is now fully visible.
However this screen does not get refreshed and remains partially obscured by the background color of the JFrame, even if I bring say a browser to the foreground and then click the original Menu Screen to the foreground it does not refresh the Menu Screen and remains half painted.
I was wondering about a few things.
    1. Is there a way of detecting when the current JFrame has just received the focus, at which point I could repaint the screen.
    2. Is there a way of Menu Screen discussed above being able to detect the closure of the Update Details JFrame (a separate class) and then take appropriate steps to repaint/refresh itself.
    3. Ideally what I would like to do is Hide the Menu Screen then allow the user to interact with their menu selection and then Un-hide the Meun Screen when the user is done interacting with their menu selection.
    4. Are there any tutorials on this type of thing, that anynone could direct me to.

  • Display issues on iPad

A coworker and I have been using iBooks Author to make nice sales aids for our reps for a couple years.  These iBooks are very heavy with graphics/photos, widgets and tables.  One frustration we've had is when viewing the output on the iPad (an old iPad 2), occasionally the graphics will not be in the right spot, text will be out of place, or text in tables will be partially obscured because it moved down.  It takes a lot of time to go back through and test each page, making corrections that look strange on the Mac to make it display right on the iPad.
Do any of you have advice on best practices to avoid these issues to get a better WYSIWYG experience?
    Thanks!

Well I just figured out my iPad's memory was full and deleting an application I didn't need and some documents fixed the lag problem.
