Ive been working on some piece of art on adobe ideas, and I've lost most of my work and when I try to click on my files cocoa error 259 pops up, and I can't open it

However, since we have not been able to reproduce the cocoa error 259 consistently, I cannot state that this specific issue has been addressed in the upcoming update. We are continuing our investigation and analysis to ensure that we address any issue that negatively impacts our customers.
Based on the information that you have provided, I would like to clarify the statement:
- bizarrely (and new behavior after reinstall) the app now cycles endlessly through the sync cycle an just won't stop unless manually turned off.
Your experience is that the sync never reaches a complete state but does fully sync your files between the device and the Creative Cloud.
I will continue to keep you updated as to our analysis. Please do keep us informed as to any additional feedback.

Adobe Ideas cocoa error 259

I've been working on a comic strip for a week and had come close to completion today. I lost track of time and my iPad battery died right in the middle of me working on my project in Adobe Ideas. After connecting my iPad to power and booting it up again; i launched the application to discover that my project no longer showed a thumbnail preview. Out of curiosity i tried to open the project and all it gave me was "ERROR Could not open the page. The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 259.)" I had tried to salvage the project from adobe ideas on my iphone, but was only able to successfully email a PDF of an older version of the project before the Cloud updated the project and overwrote it with the corrupted one. I've tried duplicating the project, changing the name of the project, logging out of creative cloud and signing back in; nothing seems to fix the issue. I did manage to log into creative cloud from my computer and download the .ideas document to my desktop. The document won't even open up in adobe Illustrator, it actually crashes the application in mid attempt. Someone from support, please tell me there's a solution or some way to salvage this file; its an important piece to a set that im working on. I've invested the majority of my day toward this and it disturbs me greatly that it was so easy to lose something like this through Creative Cloud. I do ALL of my illustration work on my iPad and would like to prevent this from accidentally happening again.

Cocoa error 259. Are files with this error code recoverable? Days of creative progress was lost!

The screen froze as I was working on a project that had been previously saved numerous times. I duplicated the file to work on two different versions, and it was the duplicated file that ended up with the error. the The app shut itself down and when reopened, the work had reverted to a version I saved days prior. I closed it thinking it would refresh and all my progress would return. However, it did not, and I was unable to reopen the file after that point. It would be understandable if I'd only lost the progress I'd made during the session that crashed, but losing days of progress that had been saved is unacceptable. Is that lost progress recoverable? I was using the iPad 2 when the error occured. I tried opening it on my iPhone, and iMac. I tried renaming the file, restarting...please help.
Is there any consideration of a refund or compensation of some kind when new products are not performing as expected? I was dissapoited to find that the only thing I paid an additional cost for, after signing up for the Creative Cloud, was what failed to meet my expectations.

What is cocoa error #259?

A couple of times, I spent a long time creating a collage only to have the app crash. In most apps, whatever you do is saved, at least partially. So when I reopen, I get the error number.
If they are gone, they are gone, but I don't like that.
I'd like to see a better color palette and a way to connect to help within the iPad app. On the whole, I like it, but tools for erasing, painting are not very exact. It's hard enough in PS.

I haven't ever gotten this error before on my iPads, which model of iPad do you have? How frequently are you getting the error? Is it something you can consistently recreate?

I have deleted and re- installed iBooks several times. How do I get iBooks to work?

I was just on the phone with an Apple Engineer and we had to do a system restore. Once this was done the ibooks were able to download successfully. Apple did not know of the cocoa error 513.
all is working perfect after completely doing a backup and system restore.

I have run out of options supporting a customer that is having an error when creating a database with a file stream. The error displayed is unable to open physical file operating system error 259 (No more data is available). We're using a pretty
standard creation SQL script that we aren't having issues with other customers:

We are using SQL Server 2014 Express. File streams were enabled on the installation SQL Server. The instance was created successfully and we are able to connect to the database through SSMS. The user is using an encrypted Sophos.
We have tried the following:
1. Increasing the permissions of the SQL Server server to have full access to the folders.
2. Attempted a restore of a blank database and it failed.
There doesn't seem to be any knowledge base articles on this particular error and I am not sure what else I can do to resolve this. Thanks in advance for any help!

1)SQL Server(any version) can't be installed on encrypted drives. Please see a similar scenario in the following link

2)I don't think there is any problem with permissions on the folder, if the user can create a database in the same folder. Am not too sure. Also see the article by
Jacob on configuring the FILESTREAM for SQL Server that describes how to configure FILESTREAM access level & creating a FILESTREAM enabled database

Cocoa Error 404 -- what happened? need help!!

After accidentally deleting a subfolder within the "Google" folder in my user related account, the Safari version 3 (the latest one, before the beta 4) stopped loading the gmail.
it kept on saying Cocoa Error 404. Operation could not be completed. (Cocoa error 404.)” (NSCocoaErrorDomain:404)
I tried to undo the damage with replacement of the entire Google folder, including re-installing the folder from old copies (using Time Machine). I tried to re-install the Google Gears in Safari. It didn't work.
I also tried to install the new Safari 4.0. I tried to reset everything, emptying the cache, etc. Nothing worked.
However, despite this problem, Safari loads other Google functions fine (Calendar, Reader, etc). And Firefox still loads Gmail fine. I wonder what could be the cause of Safari's problems?!

i sovlved my own question: the guilty party in question is the Google gear plug-in for internet plug-ins (i deleted all the Google plug-ins). it solved all problems. amazing.

Office 365 error 259-4 when installing newer Project on top of older ProPlus

When following the activity using Procmon I don't see any error for the HKLM key said in the log.
Usually when installing again Project, it works and corrects all ProPlus..
But this is very annoying as I would like to deploy ProPlus and Project independently using a deployment tool like SCCM.
In this case, I was testing a machine where ProPlus was installed in an older version, never updated for any reason, and then my tool trying to install Project but in the newer version....

After installing Project again, what's the version number of your Office 365 ProPlus? Also, try to repair existing Office 365 ProPlus and then install Project again, see if issue persists.
What if you update your Office 365 ProPlus to the same version as your Project build first, then deploy Project upon it?
Trying to figure out if the issue was caused due to the version mismatch.

Im using the "AdbeRdr11010_de_DE.exe" from ftp server to deploy.
I want to update from 11.0.08 to 11.0.10.
Switches used for deployment: /sAll /rs
I am getting the error: 259
if i try to install again on the same machine
i get the error: 150210

Adobe 7.0 error 259 does not allow update

When I try to update adobe 7.0 I get error 259, "unknown error"

You will probably not be able to create the port with AA7 in Win7. You might get lucky, but AA7 is not compatible with Win7 and you will have to try. It may be that nothing will work.
If you get the Adobe PDF printer, but not the port, you may be able to set up the port as a file, rather than the PDF port. Then open the file in Distiller to complete the conversion. You might be able to use watched folders in Distiller to do the conversion process, but only trying it will give you an idea. You may find that nothing works and then your only solution is an upgrade.

After update to 8.1 game center won't connect to the server " cocoa error 4097"

Cannot install osd sound control, get error 259

Trying to reinstall sp 44493 to get sound contol for osd. Keep getting error 259. When i do have it, it constantly disappears and have to retry to reinstall.

I am providing you with an HP Support document: Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7), which you can use to re-install the original driver that came with your computer. As we know this driver worked barring any hardware issues it should work again. After you have the driver re-installed you can use the HP Support document: Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7) to ensure that your drivers is updated to the most current version.
