Windows has turned off my HID Support Collection drives & I have recieved a code 43 on my HP Pavilion 360 laptop, what does that mean, & how do I fix this?
This question was solved.

I thank you SO MUCH for trying though!!! My computer apparently has A LOT more issues with it than just 1 drive. You did what you could & for that I am very thankful. Keep up the good work. MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TRYING TO HELP ME, my computer is just beyond any repair that I personally know how to do.

  • [SOLVED] X11 hid support broken on fresh macbook install

    Hi!
The solution was elementary indeed, I was missing xf86-input-keyboard and xf86-input-mouse. (looooooooooool)
What bugs me though, is how this could happen to an already working system. From what I remember I didn't touch those drivers on my previuos system, I guess I installed them and forgot about them, but why would they break from a system update? Anyway, I guess that's nobody's concern by now. Thread solved.
Old title: X11 hid support completely broken after system update. Now, I've completely reinstalled the system but the error remains. Please read the post below.
I've a problem with X11 support for input devices since running pacman -Syu 2 days ago. This post contains error logs and a description of my attempts to counter the problem. The hardware is a MacBook, first generation. I'm a novice linux user but seasoned with GNU and a quick learner. The solution to this might be simple, but google didn't give me anything usable. All forum threads I found were either unsolved or irrelevant.
This is what has passed. (long story short, may or may not be relevant, my current problem is explained below)
    * After the first reboot since the system update, X11 didn't give me anything except a movable cursor. The screen was completely black using the xmonad wm, and when using twm, it was completely distorted with blue patterns. I start searching for sources of the trouble.
    * ALSA and pommed complain about driver errors during boot. I can't read the messages because they skip by too quickly. I remove them from rc.conf because I prefer dealing with one problem at a time.
    * modprobe complained about framebuffer_blacklist.pacsave having an erroneous extension in /etc/modprobe.d. It actually loaded both the .conf and the .pacsave. I tried swapping between this .pacsave (is it the same or opposite of a .pacorig, btw?) and the .conf. Obviously modprobe stopped complaining when there was no erroneous extension, but I didn't notice it fixing anything else. I'm unsure whether the framebuffer is even relevant.
    * I decide that the problem didn't have anything to do with modprobe. I don't know what happened exactly during this phase, but for some strange reason, the graphics cease to be jumbled. twm starts the default programs, but is not interactive. I could move the mouse, but no mouse buttons were working. Keyboard not working at all.
    * I decide to wipe X11 and hal. I also rm -rf:ed /usr/share/hal, /etc/hal, /usr/share/X11 and /etc/X11 (yeah, I got angry).
    * Reinstalled X11 and hal. Also rm -rf:ed /usr/share/hal, /etc/X11 and /usr/share/X11 (I got really angry). Stuff works now! However, setxkbmap made everything break again, both mouse and keyboard. I read the output of startx and realise evdev hasn't been loaded, since /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/evdev is missing. The whole folder structure /usr/share/X11/xkb is actually missing. I randomly hit the target and run pacman -S xkeyboard-configure, which creates the folder structure along with the evdev ruleset.
    * The keyboard does not work when using evdev. Temporarily renaming it so that it doesn't get loaded fixes the problem. If I'm not mistaken this makes X11 revert to not-hotplugged keyboard and mouse preferences in xorg.conf (which is auto-generated). The keyboard and mouse then works again (but, obviously, not setxkbmap, and I really need input hotplugging as a laptop user).
    * It's getting late, so I shutdown and go to bed.
Waking up today, neither keyboard nor mouse is working - also when not using evdev! I've really no idea where to go from here. I've some output for you to analyze:
xorg.conf (auto-generated except for some commented lines I tried)

Alright, I got fed up and decided to reinstall the system.
Only installed wireless_tools, madwifi, hal, xorg and xf86-video-intel.
Edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf to select the intel video driver.
The mouse and keyboard are still frozen.
Here are some much cleaner Xorg.0.log, xorg.conf and startx_output.log files, I hope it will be easier for any readers of this post to find errors here:
    Output of startx:
    hostname: Host name lookup failure
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.4956

    Thank you Billy and Saubhik,
I have followed your guidelines and was able to resolve this error. Now, after successfully compiling the code, I attempted to execute it in a following way.
SELECT * FROM TABLE (cxs_generate_plsql_profiler);It gives following error: ORA-00904: "CXS_GENERATE_PLSQL_PROFILER": invalid identifier
I also tried putting in quotes like below
SELECT * FROM TABLE ('cxs_generate_plsql_profiler');Then, it gives following error:
ORA-22905: cannot access rows from a non-nested table item
Any Idea where I am doing wrong?
    Thanks,

  • Yoga 13: HID Sensor Collection : Auto-rotate functionality

    Hi Guys,
I bought the Yoga 13 with Windows 8 but the non pro version.  I wanted the pro version on so I can connect to a domain so I did a clean install - where I deleted the partition with the old OS.
Everything went great and all drivers that were are on the other partition that I left alone installed fine.
Here is the problem:  I noticed that the auto-rotate functionality no longer works.  After doing some research I found that the HID Sensor Collection is what controls this.  If I look at the device manager I can see that their is a exclamation point next to the HID Sensor Collection Driver along with the Light Sensor driver.
They both give me the error:
This device cannot start (Code 10).
The process hosting the driver for this device has terminated.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver - this didn't help.
I've tried searching for this driver online - no luck.
I tried using the "update driver software" and it says:  Windows has determined that your driver software for this device is up to date.
Any ideas how I can get the HID Sensor Collection working?
    Thanks for your help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I had excatly the same problem after Windows 8 Pro N 64bit install, the device manager showed HID Sensor Collection and Light Sensor with exclamation points.
I found out that this might have something to do with Windows User Mode Driver Framework, Windows Media Player contains and utilises it. As Windows 8 Pro N didn't contain Media player, I downloaded it as Media Feature Pack from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30685. After the install HID Sensor Collection and Light Sensor were fine. Also Simple Device Orientation Sensor appeared.

  • Need HID Sensor Collection V2 Driver for Yoga 2 Tablet 10

The Yoga 2 Tablet 10 works very well with the 9879 version of Windows 10. The only thing that I'm seeing as missing is that the screen will not auto-rotate. Device Manager shows that the HID Sensor Collection V2 Driver in not functioning.
Does Lenovo have a driver download location for this device? I expect that the Windows 8.1 version would work.

    Good day.
You have the 1051 model tablet, correct?
When (if) drivers become available, I would expect them to be listed here:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-1051
As of now, though, I don't see anything available, so you'll need to keep checking.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • Surface Pro 3 Windows 8.1 Pro N HID Sensor Collection

I've been tasked with creating an enterprise image on the surface pro 3. I'm using MDT 2013. I've added the driver pack to MDT for the surface pro 3.
All drivers install except for HID Sensor collection device and the simple device orientation sensor.
However, if I deploy my personal windows 8.1 pro image to the computer, it works fine.   Just not with 8.1 Pro N.
In device manager it says error 10, cannot start device for the collection device.  The orientation sensor is not even listed.
Any help would be appreciated.  All windows updates have been applied.

The two files in use by "Simple Device Orientation Sensor" in Device Manager are: c:\windows\system32\drivers\umdf\sensorservicedriver.dll
**I do not have this driver
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\wudfrd.sys
    **This driver is present
There is also a "sensor monitoring service" service running. When disabled it breaks the ambient light and rotation sensor (probably other items too). At least that is a place to start. I can try and zip these to an email account if you like to
see if it helps at all.
**THIS WAS THE KEY** I found this in Services, and it was actually running, set to 'Manual.' I stopped the service and saw my screen brightness (assuming because it disabled the ambient light sensor) come on to full. I then changed it to Automatic, and restarted
the service. After this I wishfully rotated my Y3P 90 degrees clockwise and the auto rotate did its job! I completely shut down the Y3P and booted up again... still working!
I'm curious as to why it wasn't working even when the service was running, but not going to dwell on it now that everything is peachy.
I really appreciate your time and help on an issue that diverged from the OP. I know this may break forum etiquette a bit but I was on a wild goose chase trying to find the solution. KUDOS! KUDOS FOR THIS MAN!!!

  • 'Windows-1252', 'Shift-JIS', etc. code pages are not supported encoding names exception in Windows 8.1 Phone

    Hi,
We have already released our product for WinRT desktop and tablet versions.
Now we are developing the same app for Windows 8.1 Phone.
    We are supporting 'Windows-1250', 'Windows-1251', 'Windows-1252', 'Windows-1253', 'Windows-1254', 'Shift-JIS', 'GB2312' and 'Big5' in both desktop and tablet versions which uses WinRT API's.
But in Windows 8.1 Phone version, i am getting 'ArgumentException' saying 'Windows-1252' is not a supported encoding name.
Please help me with a solution or workaround to support the above specified code pages for Encoding.

  • Urgent - Does report 6.0 release supports collection types

    Hi,
We went through the report 6.0 of developer 6.0(beta). There we
found that it does currently supports all Oracle8 features. The
    major unsupported features are:
    1. Collection types (nested tables and varying arrays).
    2. Stored procedures that return object values.
But for our forthcoming project we need extensive supports of
oracle 8 new features like REF, nested table, varying arrays as
well as stored procedures that return object values.
So can anybody tell me whether Developer 6.0 realease version
    supports those features.
    Thanks & regards.

    Hi Mahesh
I've tried this in Forms5.0 and ended up with an error which says
    unsupported network data type.
The only way, as far as I know , to use a new object feature in
    Oracle 8 through developer R2.x or also R6.0 (i haven't seen
this) is use a data block created with a stored procedure at the
back end. U can use REF cursor as one of the parameters in the
procedure and table type as another parameter. This option will
definitely work for U. I have done this some time . U should
create a package with procedures to select , insert , delete and
update respectively and when U associate a block with this Forms
will tale care of coding triggers like
    select-procedure
    insert-procedure
    delete-procedure
    update-procedure
    lock-procedure

  • Using existing c code for usb-hid communication in labview

    Hello,
I want to write a simple temperatrue logger using labview and a external hardware which communicates over usb-hid. The external hardware uses an ATMEL 90USB162 µC and DS18B20 sensors.
    Link to the hardware:
    http://www.diamex.de/dxshop/USB-Temperatur-Sensor-Tester-fuer-DS18B20
The source of a a simple command line tool is available (see attachement), which reads out the temperature value of the connected sensors.
Is it possible to include this c-code in the labview application to simplify the communication?
Thanks a lot and best regards,

I'm not that experienced at this personally (in terms of compiling C code into DLLs), but I believe the process you need to go down to call your C code in LabVIEW is to compile the C code into a DLL which you can then call from LabVIEW using a Call Library Function node (or you can try to use the "Import Shared Library" wizard to automatically generate SubVIs).
