Code and iweb
I have iweb "08. I want to delete the beige boxes on my website left from Google ADsense. I have deleted all code in Iweb SEO Tool that relates to the widgets but these boxes are still on my page. Please see at www.gilreathdecorativefinishes.com. I need help to make my site look more presentable to clients. Tried to contact Google to no avail.
I would personally delete this widgets from within iWeb it self it looks like the code on this particular page was widget 4 & 5 on the "Venetian_Plaster.html" page the code to delete would be:
<div class="com-apple-iweb-widget-googleads" id="widget4" style="background-color: #f3eedf; height: 125px; left: 508px; position: absolute; top: 216px; width: 125px; z-index: 1; "></div>
<div class="com-apple-iweb-widget-googleads" id="widget5" style="background-color: #f3eedf; height: 125px; left: 58px; position: absolute; top: 216px; width: 125px; z-index: 1; "></div>

Help with jquery code into iweb
Hello,
I am new to inserting code into iweb and was wondering if it was possible to use code such as the jquery plugins into an iweb html snippet? i would like to create a simple image gallery such as the following link:
http://malsup.com/jquery/cycle/lite/
interested in the click transitions (fade in out), but instead of using the prev / next as the click triggers if it was possible to use "+" and signs
i appreciate any help you guys may provide,
grodrYes, you can use JavaScript in the HTML Snippet. But it requires knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and how iWeb works.
Anything you paste in the HTML Snippet is your responsibility. iWeb does not care whether it works or not. It happily publishes the stuff you paste.
Read this article : [Using the iWeb HTML Snippet|http://www.wyodor.net/blog/archives/2009/07/entry_213.html]
Follow the link in the article and read this sentence very very carefully:
*Publish the page on the server and test it. Make sure it works. And test it again. And again. And again. No excuse.*
And this : [How to display a remote picture in your iWeb page|http://www.wyodor.net/Tutorials/ImageWidget/ImageWidget.html]
This pages uses it in the two slideshows :
http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/MyHouse/Huis.html
And here it is explained how to create such slideshow :

Felt as if the Superdrive hung a bit too much during the install (probably due to some Rootkit right?), then noticed there must have been a Finder relaunch script in the install as my dock disappeared, came back in a few secs.
Tried to launch any of the three apps, would get the loading carrot under the dock icon to blink a few but then nothing.
Restart PB, still no iwork app will load (though older version of keynote did successfully)
Fix: a. Found out a wasn't connected to the internet at the time (had to renew the DHCP) Maybe for install/reg purposes this is necessary. Then... I know this sounds to MS Windows-like, and I hate to admit it, but then poofed the three icons in the dock and reinstalled iWork08 from CD. Things went smoother (no dvd hang). And keynote came up (with 2 secs of the spinning wheel of death which made me nervouos) fine, and we're off to making animations, no prob. Other two appz load fine too.

I have used iWeb for my website design (www.intarkstudio.no) but I see now that I have a problem I am not sure how to solve. The site is in Norwegian - where the use of ø, æ and å is impossible to avoid. I see that the site is downloaded on the server without these vocals - ex. the word: interiør becomes interi;r or something. I have been told that this is because iWeb uses the Utf-8 code and I should replace it with "charset=iso-8859-1". I have downloaded TextWrangler in order to do this but I am getting cold feet here. For the first, I am not sure if this is right and secondly, I am sure TextWrangler is very easy to use but for me this is "Chinese". I don´t have the time to learn webcoding...
Hei. This is not shown on the website, itself. It is like this only in the file manager /public_html/www directory on the server I use. There the downloaded files
have the titles of the pages without these vocals. I´ve send a request to the webhotel company I use and the only answer I´ve got was not to use these vocals.
This can´t be a solution. I had to change the title of the pages on iWeb, like from
interiørdesign to interiordesign, f.ex. but this isn´t the way the word is written in norwegian. I am afraid I am not visible in search enginees (google)in norway (which) is the market I adress, because of this.
I have lounged my site since april 2010 and still I don´t appear in a search even in the 20th page or something. -
Is it possible to add code to iWeb templates? Using iWeb version 1.1.2.
Thanks in advance.
RoyI then put it back into the folder on my iDisk.
I don't understand what you mean by that. If you open something on your idisk, edit, and save, there is nothing to "put back". It never went anywhere.
Did you do this on the local copy of your idisk? In that case it might not have synched with the real one on .Mac.
I then opened it in my browser (Firefox), and it looked exactly the same as before. I selected view page source to see if it had been erased and the added .html was still there.
If you added html and open the page with your browser and there was no change, there could be two reasons: the html you added was not correct in terms of making the change you wanted, or your browser was looking at the old version of the page from its cache. The latter is very common with Safari and can be fixed by doing Safari > Empty Cache.
If you want to provide the url of the page you have changed with some info about what is not showing up, I'd be happy to have a look. -
How to embed new youtube embed code in iweb
For some reason neither the embed code pasted into an HTML snippet nor the youtube URL pasted into a youtube widget display the youtube video when I publish the site.
The youtube video shows up in iweb the moment I paste either the URL into the youtube widget or the embed code into the html widget, but when I publish it, the youtube video doesn't display.
I thought it might have to do with the old vs. new embed code on youtube - the new makes it work as html 5 as well, but I've tried both the new and old code and can't get it to show up.
The last bit of info is that I have noticed that when i publish the changes, the snippet folder in the folder that gets published isn't updating - there doesn't seem to be anything in that folder that gets changed when i add, delete or edit any widget. The YouTube widget no longer works as it was dependent on software on the MMe servers which are no more.
How are you publishing the site? Are you publishing to a folder on your hard drive and then uploading to the server with a 3rd party FTP client? Does the video play when you access the locally published site with your browser? If so then the problem lies with the uploading of the files.
If you're using iWeb 2 (08) be aware that there are compatibiliy problems with it and Mt. Lion when it comes to publishing. So check the site locally to make sure all is well before uploading.
This test page has two occurrances of a YouTube video, one with the old code, one with the old code and HTTPS and with HTTPS only: Page 2

Hi,
I'm kind of new to iWeb so I really hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question.
I have a .mac account and I publish directly through iWeb. I find it very cool but sometimes I need to alter the page's HTML (to add a button or a counter, for example). However, I haven't found a way to do it..
Any advice?
thanks

PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.7)Here are some general directions to adding external HTML using an ad banner for example...
Of course it's possible. Lots of us do that on our pages already. Two things to keep in mind...1. No way to do this via iWeb directly, so it involves editing the published html files, and 2. Because iWeb republishes the html files whenever you update the your webpage, you will lose your changes and have to redo them to add your banners back.
The general directions are as follows...
1. Decide where you want your banner and know exactly what dimensions you need.
2. Insert a text box onto your page and adjust its size to exactly your dimensions.
3. Type in some uniquely identifiable text like, "BANNERCODEHERE" without changing the font or anything else...just type it in.
4. Publish your page with iWeb.
5. Find the html file associated with your published page (either on your iDisk or in a folder depending on how you published) and open it in any text editor (like Microsoft Word, or Textedit, or anything).
6. Scroll through the html file and locate your placeholder text, e.g. "BANNERCODEHERE".
7. Replace the placeholder text with your html code and save your page. (just save, not save as...)
That's it! You should see your ad banner show up exactly where you positioned the text box inside iWeb. -
It is possible to insert a html code in iWeb?? help please!!
Hi there, and thanks for helping me!
I have a question. I am new to iWeb, and I am making my first website with Adobe Dreamweaver CS5. I have the HTML, CSS code ready to be uploaded to the web. So I wonder if it is possible to insert my HTML and CSS code in iWeb so I can publish it? I mean, my code in Dreamweaver is ready to be publish, so I want to put the code in iWeb and then publish it with all HTML, CSS and Javascript code. Thanks! You might be able to reuse some of your html in iWeb with the HTML-snippet:
Whenever I need to do something tricky in iWeb I insert a HTML-snippet from the drop down insert menu -> widgets (or the Media Browser Widgets palette), adjust its size and paste the HTML code into the snippet.
You will not be able to recreate a complete page this way, but you might be able to save some preformatted parts of your page, like elaborate tables and groups of pictures. -

not accept the change.Have you looked at this completed previos discussion. It discusses 0x8007054F.

Table for finding rate based on part code and material
Hi Experts
I am an ABAP consultant with ltd knowledge on SD . Please tell me in which table I can find the rate based on party code and material .Hi
The standard table is A305. But usually these tables can be customized based on the requirement. So if you are aware about the Condition type for which this Price/Rate is maintained you can find the same in VK13.
In transaction code VK13, maintain the condition type and click on "Condition information" icon. Now dont maintain any input date. Just click on Execute icon or F8. System will give the list of all the tables and data maintained based on the combination.
Select the required table. In SE11, maintain this table with prefix as A. You can get all the required information.

Sample JAVA Mobile Server Publish code, and technical questions
Dear Oracle technical representative, or user:
I need to programmatically create, and remove publications using the pure JAVA classes of Consolidator, ConsolidatorManager, and ResourceManager for the Mobile Server in OracleLite 9i Release 5.0.1. On the creation side I have managed to get the example found in the directory OraLite501\Mobile\Server\Sample\Sample11 functioning using my installation parameters. I had a very difficult time of it because (1) the sample11 code fails to open an jdbc connection to the Mobile Server Repository Schema with the function Consolidator.OpenConnection, and (2) the ResourceManager function openConnection will not work unless the Webtogo.ora file is in the current working directory. The ConsolidatorManager function OpenConnection may also not work unless the Webtogo.ora file is in the current working directory, but I did test the hypothesis. Both of these problems need to be addressed in the sample11 code, and documentation to save other software developers from wasting hours of their valuable time. See line 223, 386, and 448 in the Publish.Java code that follows this problem description.
With the above two problems resolved, I can now programmatically create publications, but no hints on how to programmatically remove a publication exist in the documentation. The application I am developing will require the dynamic creation, and removal of publications. Also, when developing applications the complete removal of a publication is absolutely necessary when you have botched a publication. Thus my first question is What sequence of ResourceManager, and ConsolidatorManager function calls will completely remove a Publication?.
I also have two issues remaining with the code that I have so far developed. These issues will most likely be resolved, when I obtain instructions on how to completely remove a publication, and associated users. But, perhaps not. Referencing the Publish.java file that follows this problem description,
1. The ResourceManager function dropUser does not drop a user. See my comments, and code beginning at line 277 in Publish.java. Do I need to de-instantiate all subscriptions, and unsubscribe all subscription users before calling this function.? I think, I tried the de-instantiate, unsubscribe sequence without success, but in the confusion I may not have made the try.
2. How do I get rid of an index created with the ConsolidatorManager function DropPublicationItemIndex?. My comments on this problem begin at line 522 in Publish.java. For some reason the DropPublicationItemIndex function call made below line 448 does not work. What function calls are required prior to calling the DropPublicationItemIndex function?
Throughout the Publish.java code, I have made comments about some of the problems that I have had in getting the sample11 code working for my installation parameters. I think these comments should help the programmers maintaining the ResourceManager, and ConsolidatorManager code improve the stability of the programs. Please pass these comments, and attached files to the appropriate individuals,
if you are in a position to do so.
The other files that follow the Publish.java code are
1. Compile.bat - Compiles Publish.java using j2sdk1.4.0.
2. Run.bat - Executes Publish using \ j2sdk1.4.0\jre\server\jvm.dll.
3. Webtogo.ora
4. tnsnames.ora for the Mobile Server.
5. tnsnames.ora for the Database.
Feel free to access my server if you need to do so in resolving my problems. The parameters you will need to gain access can be found at the top of Publish.java, and in the included *.ora files.
Thanks,
Thomas G. Matney

Thanks,
Thomas G. Matney
