Code appearing on bottom of web pages

I am in the process of releasing my web site and code like
this is appearing on the bottom of all my pages. How do I get rid

HTML code is showing up on web page! HELP!

I'm trying to write an index.html on TextEdit but every time I try to open it the HTML code doesn't render and the code just shows on the page. I saved it as a web page with the extension as HTML so I don't believe that the extension is the problem. Help?

How are you trying to open it? It must be opened in your browser. It must be located in your web server's user directory, and the web server must be running.
So in your browser you would put an address something like http://localhost/~yourusername/ or http://localhost/~yourusername/index.html

HTML source code is rendering instead of web page

I have firefox 3.6.13. For some of the pages it is displaying HTML source code as it is without rendering or applying CSS and scripts to display properly designed web page.
can u tell me if there is setting which causing this issue? but that way, i should have faced for all the pages.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

What happened to the lock icon appearing on a secured web page?

Since I upgraded to Firefox 5.0, I do not see the yellow lock icon on the web page indicating it is a secured page, such as an online shopping site where a credit card number or address is entered.

The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the Site Identity Button on the left end of the location (address) bar.

How do I move analytics' script (code) to the bottom of the page?

I use Google Analytics and Statcounter to track Web site usage. I also track document (PDF, Word, etc) downloads.
I can place the Analytics scripts in the head of the HTML using page properties or master page properties, but having the script in the head of the document can prevent the script in Statcounter from tracking downloads.the script must be at the bottom of the HTML near the end </body> tag.
Any suggestions appreciated.

You can try Exporting your site as HTML and then manually open the Html page of your website and add the code in that.

Photos appear distorted/glitchy on web pages

Hi all,
For the past week or so, I've noticed that random images are being distorted while surfing the www using both Firefox and Safari.
I'm using the most recent versions of both, and my OS is up to date. My iMac is the 2010 27" with 8GB ram.
This ONLY occurs in web browsers -- not when using Adobe CS5 or FCP.

Bring up your Safari preferences and go into the "Appearance" tab. Is "Display images when the page opens" checked, as per the following screenshot?

Short cut to reach bottom of web page

I subscribe to a web site (Joss & Main) which is quite lengthy in content. I would like a short cut to reach the very end providing either "contact info" or to work my way backwards.
I also seek a short cut to reach the very top when I am at the bottom of the site.

Strange icon appears on my web pages

I have a web site and for a long time now this icon has been appearing in my editor and now it sometimes appears on my live web page this is the icon 
I have disabled all my plugins and add ons have disabled F7 someone had suggested the charset Currently using charset=iso-8859-1) was set incorrectly but my webmaster says that is not the cause,this is only happening in FF in IE it is ok, most of my pages are not affected yet some have 20 to 30 of these icons spread around the page,anyone with some fresh ideas would be appreciated.

I have cleared all current icons,mostly they occur in the back end of my site in my editor page,only recently they have been appearing on my published site. So wouldn't be able to give you access,was hoping someone may have experienced the same problem.

Top & bottom print ie: date, web page, in margins are illegible. Content of page is fine.

Have tried changing fonts before printing as well as margins but what prints across the top and bottom is illegible. The page contents is fine. The illegible part is what prints in the top & bottom margins: web page, date, page # etc, This does not happen when printing from Internet Explorer 9. Everything else printed in pdf format from everywhere else comes out fine

In addition, IE doesn't handle margin: 0 auto; on divs very well. So you have to also add "text-align: center" on the body element, which will center align all elements for IE, then "text-align: left;" on the #wrapper. (It will left justify all elements within the centered wrapper.)
Here's a very trimmed example. Notice that I also put a border on the "wrap" div, this can be removed.

Unwanted source code appears in browser but not in Dreamweaver Code Window

I am using templates and css, and Dreamweaver to build a new website of about 20 pages. With the first several pages, everything was working well. Then as I continued to add pages, I started to notice some code appearing at the bottom of web pages (under the footer), and then, a page duplicating the footer, and then, the drop-down function on the index page not working (pulls down and pops right back up) while headers on other pages work fine. I viewed the source code in the browsers (IE and Firefox) and I see the extra code at the bottom. However, this code doesn't show up in Dreamweaver, or, when I open the files in Notepad.
Following is an example of the different bottom-most lines of code in the Firefox browser compared to what I see in Dreamweaver or Notepad (note the highlighted line that is not showing up in Notepad or Dreamweaver).

this answer is a bit late, but i think i have figured this problem out and it is probably still bugging someone out there.
i was having the same issues through many dreamweaver upgrades and kept running into the same problem (only on my Mac though - PC never gave me trouble). anyway, my hard drive recently died and i had a brand new one installed and then i installed a fresh version of CS5. started building a page and ran into the same problem. now that this is happening on a new drive with a fresh OS and reinstalled software, i needed to look elsewhere.
the problem is so simple you will more than likely cry at the amount of time you have wasted on it. more than likely if this is happening to you, you are working off of a network drive or a server. all my files are stored on a server locally, so when i make a change it is saving to the server. either a bad or slow connection to the server and/or a server going bad will cause this issue.
take the same file that you are having problems with and save down to your desktop - then preview in a browser. so the solution is to build the entire site on your local drive and then FTP up to the live site when complete.

Help with using a web page from disk after saved from web

Hi, I almost forgot the little I learned about web page development, so, I'm a total noob when it comes to this and I need your help.
I saved as a complete web page on my hard disk this web page but when I open it in Firefox or IE, it doesn't display as much as I need it. I'm mostly interested in displaying the logo images as they appear on the original web page. The browsers just show them briefly when refreshing but hide them right away. I can see the image files downloaded to my hard drive and if I open the page in Dreamweaver it displays these images in the preview pane but I can't make them show in the browsers. From Dreamweaver I saved the page as in the folder where the images are and this also updated the code with the relative image links but the browsers still don't show them.
I will greatly appreciate your help with this.

Do you have a link to the page, and perhaps some explanation that is more clear as to what your issue is.
