Code Groups not visibile in QS41

He experts,
I have created catalogs by t-code: QS41.
After the entering and saving the code groups and codes system is not showing the codes for the code groups.
Only code groups are visible. However I can see and use the code groups while donig transaction i.e. in notification in filling the history details.
Please tell me if there is any settings need to be done so that codes are visible in QS41.
I am working in ECC6.0

Why & when it is necessary to maintain code group & selected sets. Where it is then use. What is releation between them.Will appreciate if explain with suitable example from industry. Please helpout.Newcomer in QM.

code groups are used in Notifications and quality result parameters.
Code groups are used to combine and structure codes within a catalog type
code groups at client level to group codes that have the same contents or relate to one another, within a catalog type. Codes, that are assigned to a code group are also known as group codes.
When you maintain the code group index, the system locks the required catalog type for other users. However, if you use the individual maintenance function, only the required code group is locked.
these are can ot create by plant wise.
1.when you have material which measures by means of color then you canhave code group color and codes of red ,black etc..
2.if you have defect codes then you can mention them
3.if you have problems of perticular part, then in notification by use of codegroups and codes you can enter the data.
A selected set contains a combination of different codes at plant level, for example, coded descriptions of characteristic attributes (such as color, shape, surface characteristics), defect causes or usage decisions from different code groups.
selected sets to combine codes from several code groups for processing that are allowed or useful for a particular application.
Codes that are copied into a selected set are known as set codes.
When you maintain the selected set index, the system locks the required catalog type for other users. However, if you use the individual maintenance function, only the required selected set is locked.
4.with combinationof code and code groups you can create the selected sets , canbe used in Usage decission.(ex:aprroved, no approved,ok, not ok etc)

QS41 and QS51- code group error

Hi,
I am trying to create new code groups in QM. i have maintained the defect classes and the catalog types. then in QS41 I have maintained the code groups for the catalogs along with the codes. All the code groups are in released status. In the next step in QS 51 I am trying to edit the selected sets but when I enter the catalog, plant and the set the error message qs204 comes which says 'Selected sets are not defined for these catalog types'. and the performance assistant recommends maintaining the table TQ15so that selected sets are allowed for the catalog type.
Why is this error coming? after I have maintained all the required catalogs. Kindly help me with the solution as soon as possible as it is quite critical.

Hi,
This is the correct community regarding your subject. please let me know what is the type of catalog your creating selected for. SAP allows you in standard for creating selected sets only for some of the catalogs namely Usage decision, Character attributes
If you need to maintain selected for other catalogs you have to do the customisation
SPRO > QM > Quality Planning > Basic Data > Catalog > define Catalog Type> choose the catalog > maintian Selected sets allowed

Field"Code group" is not in the result for report CRM_SRV_REPORT

For the tx CRM_SRV_REPORT - Service Process Monitor, the field "Code group" is not in the standar result, but, is in the initial screen for filter selection.
This field is not available in the layout modification.
How can I add this field to the layout of the result list?

Hi Lyda,
Additional field cannot be added in the layout of the result list.
If you will observe the code of the report CRM_TSRV_REPORT, in the field catalog, there is not Code, code group etc., hence it is not seen in the layout.
Since it is a std report it cannot be modified, either u can create a Z report by copying this or u can raise an OSS message for this.

Catalogs, code groups and codes not available in service order in Web UI

Hi,
I have created and maintained a subject profile for the service orders that i am using for my business scenarios. The same is visible under the objects tab in transaction data of the service order business transaction in the SAP GUI.
However the same are not visible anywhere in the Web UI (they are not available in the list of available fields as well in BSP_WD_CMPWB for BT116H_SRVO).
Can some1 pls advice me with the steps so as to make the catalogs, code groups and codes in my service orders available in the Web UI screen as well.
Will really appreciate if detailed steps are provided since I am new to Web UI technology.

I'm 99% sure (although dont quote me as I dont have a developer key so I cant finish my testing) that you're missing the context Nodes - so although you have the assignment block yuo have no link between the code set and the service order header. You havent referenced them in your comments on this post in any case.
Try this:
Go into BSP_WD_CMPWB
In the Browser component Structure open folder Component > Views
Double-click BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV and in the structure expand to BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV > BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV > View Controller > DetailsOV.do > Context
Right-click on folder Context Node and click Create
Follow through the wizard defining a Z context Node (e.g. ZBTSubject) and a Model Node of BOL Entity BTSubject
Define any Dependencies etc you may wish to have and so on (most of the wizard is optional)
Repeat the same for the BOL Entity BTSubjectSet
Now go back in and see if your values are populating. I'm not a developer (and never have been), so I cant guarantee this will work as I dont have a developer key to test this, but I am quite sure that this needs to be done for you to get your values populating.

I am doing withholding tax. after completion of configuration setting i execute remittance challana at that time system showing NUMBER GROUP NOT MAINTAIN FOR COMPANYCODE 1001 SECTION IBT100I 194I AND BUSINESS PLACE.
company code 1001,
Section code 194i,
Business place 100i
But i maintain number group , number range and assign nuber ranges to number grop

Hi,
While creating remittance challan through J1INCHLN ,particulary for Section 194H and J1INCHLC for Section 194H&194C the system showing an error "Number group not maintained for CO code XXXXSection 194C and business place 194C.
This is a regular transaction we do every month.Recently we have upgraded from 4.7e to ECC 6.0 version.
Please suggest.

In ECC 6.0 Real Time Integration is present between FI and CO i hope due to this it might throwing error.
Please go to KANK and try to assign as per the error.

Hi Friends,
While doing TDS challan i am facing the error loke "Number group not maintained for CO code 1100 section IBTCBDNNGPR and business place 194C". But for other section code like INDR and section 194C the same error is not showing.
I checked the config for challan number range, there i didn't maintain any combination of section code and section but i maintained the number group and the no range for the group.
Still i am facing the error.
Please advice me.

Check table J_1IEWTNUMGR_1, if you had not maintained anything , Maintain the same in SM30.

Number Group and Number range not maintained for the Business Place /Off. w/Tax Key in T.code J1INUM or In this Path : SPRO Financial Accounting (New)-Withholding Tax-Withholding Tax-Posting-Posting-Remittance Challans-Remittance Challans -Excute and Maintain the Number Group and also for the Number Group ,Manain the Number Range in J1INO T.code
Once you do the above customization, the Mentioned Error will be cleared.

Maintain Number Groups
Assign Number Ranges to Number Groups
Maintain Number Ranges
1.Maintain number groups
co.code Sec.code official w.h.tax key no.group

2.Assign Number Ranges to Number Groups
Number group Int nr
EX: 01 01
3.Maintain Number Ranges
click on change intervals
enter the relevant company code
ex:
Year From number to number current number EXT ...
2008 1000000 1999999
Check with previious no.ranges, if this is the first time use the new number range or existing number range
It will resolve ur issue.
