Code in Inbound Processing FM for IDOC
Hi
I have a Scenario.
Loop at idoc records.
Step 1: Thru User Exit Before Posting I Called a BAPI but did not Commit.
Step 2.Idoc is proccessed.
If Idoc _status = successfull
Will My BAPI will commit Automatically ?
Endloop.
Let me know wether my BAPI will commit automatically without BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT ?
Bala.M
Hello Balu Malvatu ,
The inbound function module will have its own logical unit or work
you don't need to have a extra commit
OR
else you can do is if call the bapi within a ZEE function moduele ( Update ) within it you will call the bapi and commit
you will call this zee function module with addition STARTING A NEW TASK.
hope it helps,

Steps in Inbound Processing in ALE IDOC
Hi all,
Could anyone explain the steps to be followed in inbound processing in ALE Idoc.
I know we have to create a FM n then call that in a program. But still the detail steps are not clear.
An example will be really helpful.
ThanxHi
Outbound:
Step 1. Application document is created when transaction is saved.
2. Message control is invoked.
3. Messages are processed by system.
4. Messages are Edited (if desired).
5. Output (ALE / EDI) is checked
6. Validate against Message control record from Partner Profile
7. Application Document is saved.
8. Entry NAST table is created for every selected output program
along with Medium & Timing.
9. Check for Process Immediately .
If (yes)
Determine Processing Program from TNAPR Table.
ELSE
Execute RSNASTED Program.
10. Read Partner Profile to determine Process Code.
11. Process Code points to the Function Module & Invoked.
12. IDoc is generated.
13. Check for ALE Request.
if (Yes)
Perform Filters, Conversions, Version Changes etc.
Else.
IDoc is stored in DATABASE.
INBOUND:
Step 1. EDI Subsystem creates an IDoc file from EDI Messages
2. Subsystem calls Functional Module EDI_DATA_INCOMING from startRFC program.
3. Data in Control Record is validate against the Partner Profile.
4. IDoc is generated in Database and syntax check is carried out.
5. IDoc file is deleted once file read.
6. Event PROCESSSTATE REACHED is triggered in Idoc Object Workflow.
7. Check for Process Immediately.
If NO
Execute RBDAPP01 Program
Else
Read Process Code from Partner Profile
Process Code Points to Function Module
Application Document Posted.

Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
*Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
*IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
Outbound Process
Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
Create Segment ( WE31)
Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

Inbound function module for IDoc type INFRECMASS01
Hello everybody,
What is the inbound function module for IDoc type INFRECMASS01?
I tried IDOC_INPUT_INFREC (as for IDoc INFREC01), but I got the following message (B1 044): Incorrect function module IDOC_INPUT_INFREC called up
Thanks in advance
RolandThe only difference between INFRECMASS01 and INFREC01 is that repitition of the same segments. However, the standard function module is hardcoded with IDOC type INFREC01, so if you want to use the MASS IDOC copy the standard one and put in the logic to loop around and process the info records one by one.
There is no standard funtion that can process mass idoc of the info record.
Regards,
Ravi
Note: Please mark the helpful answers -
I was trying to generate an IDoc manually by using the tcode WE19. I have manually keyed the data in to the respective segments for the basic type PEXR2002 and message type REMADV. After this while processing, the IDoc is getting generated, but not posted OK. I am getting the following two error messages 51 stating:
'Company code could not be determined for the IDoc #....'
'Customer/vendor could not be determined for the IDoc #.'
Can any one give some inputs on this issue?

Inbound processing of INVOIC IDOC without PO number and item check
Hi All,
I'm processing an Inbound INVOIC IDOC to create an Intercompany Vendor Invoice against a Purchase order but wish to do process this based on the delivery note number rather than the PO number. The INVOIC IDOC will not contain a reference to the Purchase order and thus the need to process it based on the delivery note number which will be referenced in the Purchase order Goods receipt.
However, when processing the Inbound INVOIC IDOC it is validating that the number in IDOC segment E1EDP02 with QUALF 001 is the purchase order number. In this scenario it won't be and therefore it errors. The delivery note number is in IDOC segment E1EDP02 with QUALF 016.
Could someone please tell me if there is a standard way that we can have this Inbound INVOIC IDOC processing using only the delivery note?. If I manual process in the MIRO transaction I can process an Invoice based on the dleivery note in the Goods receipt so would expect I should be able to do so also with the IDOC processing.
I have noticed that IDOC segment E1EDP19 with QUALF 003 is not being populated and therefore according to the SAP help the IDOC segment E1EDP19 with QUALF 002 holding the Vendor material number is checked. Could this have something to do with it not being able to process the Invoice using only the delivery note number reference?.
Thanks in advance,
MichaelHi Karen,
According to Note 103051 - EDI: Multiple reference to same purchase order item.
Module IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM (only as of Release 4.0) for the logistics invoice verification can distinguish different goods receipts by means of the delivery note number. For this purpose, GR-related invoice verification must be active. Please check the note.
Thank you,

Error when trying multiple inbound interface determination for IDOC
Hi !
I have this scenario: File -> XI -> IDOC.
For each source file, I need to send multiple idoc packages, all to the same business system, but each package should be the result of different interface mappings.
All mappings have same source and target message types...e.g. source: MT_MyFile, target: CREMAS04.
To avoid creating a generic mapping program, we need to duplicate the current mapping program, make it handle the new case, and then add it as second interface mapping in Interface Determination, with same inbound interface, but different interface mapping, without conditions. All interface mapping should execute.
We are receving this error:
<SAP:Code area="IF_DETERMINATION">CX_ID_PLSRV</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>Inbound interface was found more than once (for same sender and receiver) for outbound interface urn:xxxxx/xxxx:.MI_xx_xxxxxxxx_xxx_xx</SAP:P1>
<SAP:Stack>Error when determining the inbound interface: Inbound interface was found more than once (for same sender and receiver) for outbound interface urn:xxxxx/xxxx:.MI_xx_xxxxxxxx_xxx_xx Inbound interface was found more than once (for same sender and receiver) for outbound interface urn:xxxxx/xxxx:.MI_xx_xxxxxxxx_xxx_xx</SAP:Stack>
Any clues?

Matias.Hi Satish !
Thanks.
I need to send different IDOCs to SAME business system.
In Interface determination I need this:
Inbound Interface -
Condition -
Interface Mapping
<b>IF_1</b> no condition <b>M_1</b>
<b>IF_1</b> no condition <b>M_2</b>
I need to send BOTH IDOC packages to same business system.
But it keeps throwing the posted error.

Exit in inbound processing pgm for material master
hi,
i m writing a check for E1MARAM segment for IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS. i m supposed to use EXIT_SAPLMV02_002.
in this i dont have IDOC_DATA available but a structure F_MARA_UEB which gives same info as E1MARAM.
but values of ( NTGEW, BRGEW ) look different from those in E1MARAM.
can it happen ?
give ur ideas.
thanx
pawan.Hi Pawan,
This should not happen.
But the problem might be that some other field values might be getting assigned to those fields.
You can check it in debugging for the values which are populated in those 2 fields. -

Process code for Idoc BANK_CREATE01 and BANK_CHANGE01
hi,
I want to create partner profile for Idoc BANK_CREATE01 and BANK_CHANGE01 standard Idocs.
But in transaction we64 , i am not finding the inbound process code for it.
So di i have to create a process code for it??
If yes , how do i create it and also the function module to be created.
kindly help.
Regards,
Loveenahi ,
To create a partner profile <b>Tcode WE20.</b>
for your inbound or outbound idocs , just add these idocs in outbound or inbound parameters . For Idoc to File or File to Idoc , it is sufficient.
before creating partner profile you have <b>to create port Tcode WE21</b>
hope this will help

User Exits for Inbound Process
hi all
can any one please give some example user exits in inbound process and explain the omportance of user exits
Thank you,
Swapnahi
Userxits allow us to add our own functionality to SAP standard program
without modifying it . These are implemented in the form of subroutines and hence are also known as FORM EXITs. The userexits are generally collected in includes and attached to the standard program by the SAP.
Types of User exits
1. Menu Exits
2.Function exits
3.Table exits
4.Screen exits
5.Keyword exits
6.Field exits.
also refer to the links below.. can get more info on user exits

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data. IDoc is not a process.
- IDocs are stored in the database.
- In the SAP system, IDocs are stored in database tables.
- IDocs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
- IDocs are independent of the direction of data exchange.

How many types of inbound process r there
how many types of inbound process r there for a inbound idoc?
Hi,
Creating an Inbound Process Code
The inbound process code, that is, its attributes, indicates how an inbound IDoc is processed. A process code has the following attributes:
· Processing type (for example, should the inbound function module be called immediately, or should a workflow or work item be started?);
Standard: "ALE, function module called directly"
· Name of inbound function module;
· Error processing attributes (objects and events; see the section on objects, and so on, for error handling);
· Application object type used for ALE links;
¡ the object type created or changed by the inbound function module. Example: An inbound ORDERS IDoc, containing a customeru2019s purchase order, creates a customer order in the receiving SAP System. Here the application object type is BUS2032, the object type for customer orders in the BOR (Business Object Repository).
· The application event to be triggered (dealt with in the section on advanced techniques) is not generally used.
For an example, have a look at the process code MATM used for material master data.

Monitoring inbound processing and Sync/ Async communication on PI7.11
Hi All,
I am new to PI. We have following two requirements to be done on PI 7.11
1) Monitoring inbound processing (Txn Code SWF_INB_MON)
2) Monitoring Sync/ Async communication (Txn Code SXMS_SAMON)
Kindly let me know how should I proceed or what document should I follow or any scenario is to be configured.Hi,
1. Start inbound processing monitoring with transaction SWF_INB_MON or SWF_INB_ADM.
Note that you require administrator authorization for transaction SWF_INB_ADM
2. You can monitor the throughput of the inbound processing either on the basis of individual process system or system-wide. In this way you can display the throughput figures in any discrete time range, right down to seconds. A similar display for message packages allows you to monitor inbound processing with the same detail."
3. You can display runtime information about individual messages, for example, the total runtime of a message in inbound processing or just the runtime of a specific section of the inbound processing. For monitoring individual messages click on "Display Message Packages".
regards,
ganesh.
