Code page format

Hi all,
The program containing CODE PAGE FORMAT is working in 4.6 but it's showing error in ECC6.0.
Plz help me how to remove this error in ECC6.0.

Foe code page format u need use METHODS.
if u press F1 on code page format command it will give syntax & what has to use in ECC6.0 also it will give in the help.
i am not sure abt the method but if u give any code it will helpful.

How do I switch from 1 page format to 2 page format? ibooks won't let me switch back to 2 page after I clicked on 1 page format.

I had clicked on 1 page format on one of the books I have in my library. Since doing this, it won't allow me to click back to 2 page format. Under the view tab, when i scroll down to that area, 1 page is in black with a check mark next to it, and 2 page format is in gray which usually indicates that this sinot an option. I tried removing the check next to 1 page format, but it doesn't seem to help. I would appreciate feedback on resolving this.

How to create new Page Format

can any body guide to crate this & how to assign this

Hi Nitin,
You can create a new page format by transaction code SPAD. Here you will have to create a cutomised page format for ex: 'ZPAGE'.
After this you will have to create a format type 'ZPAGE'. Assign the page format 'ZPAGE' to format type 'ZPAGE'. Pls make sure that both the names are identical.
Once you do that you will have to assign the format type ZPAGE to the printer which you want to use.
Now you can use this page format in your script.

Page format for SAP-Script not working in 4.6C

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding check printing.
I am using SAP version 4.6C
The size of paper for check printing is
width = 231 mm
Height = 304 mm
So for this I have created a new page format with these details in SPAD.
Then I assigned this Page format to spool format and assigned that spool format to SAPWIN driver. I have assigned this page format to the SCRIPT that is used for check printing .
But when I am taking the print out for the check with new page format, the printer dont print till the end of page, it prints till the total amount on check and then stops there. So this creates an alignment problem when taking printout for multiple checks.
Please give some solution for this.

I guess you are printing on dot matrix printer. If yes, try to do some physical printer settings for the dot matrix printer by following the printer manual. I guess you have to change the page size.. or set default printer settings... it may help you to solve your problem...
if not goto your device types tab in SPAD and select device types.. select your device from the list (for ex, SAPWIN) click format and goto the format that you have inserted for this device types.. double click on your format, you will see printer Indialization.. try to write code like this
set page length to 8.5 inch (=52 lines at 6 LPI)
\e\0x43\0x44
Note the above hexa decimal value can be obtained by going through the printer manual.

Code page to language assignment

Hello everyone
I have the following problem:
I generate email attachement in pdf format converting the smartform.
As input parameters for smartform FM I pass language.
smartform engine choose specific code page depending on language I passed?
The problem is that when I have french characters and polish characters at the same time
one of them are ## dependind on language?
Is it possible for me to have both of them displayed correctly?
Maybe it is a question of assignement code page to language but I dont know where to set this.

Try to solve the problem with your basis person.
The basis person should check if fonts install correct.
Also, when you send pdf in email check in transaction scot
see in menu:
setting->device types for format conversion
if the pdf device type define ok.

Regarding smartforms page format

i create a page format of size 240mm width and 93mm height and go through the transaction SPAD and i done the device type setup also correctly. but when i try to take the print out it is showing the following error as follows.
exception : send_error
message id : ssfcomposer
device type swin does not support page format <name>.
please anybody can give solution for this.

Sol Man Code Page = 4130?

In a new installation of Solution Manger 7.0, the installer asks me:
His "code page is 4130? ..
This related AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8 user Oracle admin and SAP admin?
What is the relationship that exists between the two (code page and UTF8)?
What is the code page that I choose?

UTF-8 (8-bit UCS/Unicode Transformation Format) is a variable-length character encoding for Unicode. It is able to represent any character in the Unicode standard, yet the initial encoding of byte codes and character assignments for UTF-8 is backwards compatible with ASCII.
Code page is the traditional IBM term used for a specific character encoding table: a mapping in which a sequence of bits, usually a single octet representing integer values 0 through 255, is associated with a specific character. IBM and Microsoft often allocate a code page number to a character set even if that charset is better known by another name.
Oracle Database created with
CHARACTER SET "UTF8"
NATIONAL CHARACTER SET "WE8ISO8859P1"
NLS_LANGUAGE = AMERICAN
NLS_TERRITORY = AMERICA
As far as SAP code pager concerns which is related to UTF-8 is SAP-4110.
From your options if you see 4110, you can choose it. Or you can leave the default codepage as it is.

Printing A3 page format using ABAP List from SAP is a problem...

Hi Experts,
I am trying to print a standard output (ABAP List) A3 page size from SAP.
I used SWIN, SAPWIN, I9HP4 device types, but none of them worked.
I created page format type ZYEVMIYE 290MM 420MM and the page format L120, W200. In order to make it usable with page size is A3. Unfortunately this did not work either.
The behaviour of the problem is when I tried to print with the device types that mentioned above then printer indicator comes to an error. And nothing comes out from the printer.
Just to be on the safe side I made a test from windows self test, it resulted success with A3 page size format. So from this point of the view I got a thought that somehow SAP (selected device types) is not able to send correct signal to Printer for page size A3, because on the printer information screen displays load Tray2 for A4 this is showing that SAP sends Printer a signal for page format A4.
I need help on how to make SAP (selected device type) send a correct signal to Printer in order to printout A3 page size format.

At last i got a Solution to my Question.
The Problem is that in my SAP-Code they have been translated the PDF into 255 string.But i am retreiving using 132 string.So, i resolved in this way.

Batch printing - page format issue

I am creating a smartform in a batch job and sending it to various printers throughout our company. The form is going to the printer but it attempts to print in the A4 (DINA4) page format. I have the smartform set to print (under the Form Attributes -> Output options tab) in Letter format though.
I am passing output_options to the smartform FM. The field that I am setting is the printer (output_options-tddest). output_options is of type ssfcompop. I would imagine that page format would be a field in that structure but I can't find it. Do you know of any other way to change the page format in a batch job via ABAP code?

The field in the ABAP code is output_options-tddest (that gets filled with the 4 character printer code) and the following:
output_options-tdimmed = 'X'. "Print immediatly
output_options-tddelete = 'X'. "Delete after printing
In the Smartform I went to the Form Atributes page and selected the page format on the output options tab. Then when I created the batch job in SM36 I added a step (an ABAP program) and assigned a printer to that step.

Code page of PI system

hello guys,
i've a typical issue here...
I have an inbound interface which also sends mails after processing.
I need to send the data as an attachment in the mail.
For that i am using CL_ABAP_CONV_OBJ=>CONVERT to convert the text i am getting into the current system's GUI codepage format.
I am using SCP_GET_CODEPAGE_NUMBER this FM to get the appl_codepage and gui_codepage.
The problem here is....
When i run the payload from SPROXY, the FM gives me gui_codepage of SAP ECC system.
But when the interface gets run through PI proxy. It is not giving me the gui_codepage for an obvious reason that PI thing does not have a GUI.
My requirement is to get the gui_codepage of the system regardless of the way it gets run.
Please help me in achieving it.Any FM or table or anything would be appreciated.

About my previous answer, UTF-8 may be a problem. When there is no byte order mark (bytes at the beginning of the binary stream which describe whether the stream contains UTF-8, UTF-16LE, UTF-16BE, UTF-32LE, UTF-32BE), the receiving software may not recognize this format. Dolby AC3 Audio (code "8192") format

I tried to find in the QuickTime forum about this topic but no success.
I received this message trying to watch a movie:
This file contains a track in the Dolby AC3 Audio (code "8192") format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file.
The problem is that I visit about 15 discussions webpages about this "AC3 Audio (code "8192")" and what I really got? Nothing that really worked. What I found was for PCs, codec in .exe and so on, but for the Mac, zero. I even bought DivX for Mac and it was a deception. I looked at Apple/QuickTime/Components and I was again at DivX page...

I have a reqirement to print the smartform output in Letter format paper for one company code and it should print it in A4 size paper for rest of the company codes.
I am using R/3 4.6c
I tried with this code
data: lx_sf_header(31) type c,
field-symbols: <fs_header> type SSFFORMHD.
if company_code = 'XXXX'.
CONCATENATE '(' sy-repid ')%HEADER' into lx_sf_header.
assign (lx_sf_header) to <fs_header>.
<fs_header>-PAGEFORMAT = 'LETTER'.
endif.
but I am getting short dump & this logic is working fine in ECC.
Please help me regarding this.......

Hi All,
There is one issue when I print a sapscript. I get an error message as follows:
Device type EPESCP9 does not support page format ZSG02
Could someone advise?

Hi,
The page format ZSG02 is not present in Device type EPESCP9.
in SPAD t.code add the page format in that device type.
Better inform to BASIS people they will add page format in that device type.

Code page conversion

Hi
I have requirement to pick up UTF 7 files. In sender FCC i have used code page conversion bean. But the adapter is not accepting UTF 7 format. What could be another option.
I am using a 3rd party adapter (XLink adapter) and the error is occurring here itself.

You can develop a module which converts the file content from UTF-7 to UTF-8 o other enconding which be valid for your adapter.
This module must called before the your adapter module.

Lossing page format when uploading to server

Interesting problem - flash site works fine locally, wether I
play the swf file or open the html page that calls the swf file
into the browser. Upload the site and all associated files, loose
the page format on all pages, headings are lost and files will not
load. The site uses as2 code and I have been publishing as that
from cs3. Not sure how to correct this problem, any ideas would be
helpful.

Thanks for reviewing my site. I had intended to post a
comment last night but forgot due to the caos at home. I found the
problem with the pics and loading. I had a typo in the xml file,
the file extensions were capitalized, which ment the as was not
finding the pic files. Lesson learned! It took me forever to find
this!
