Code res://ieframe.dll/preview.js

Since I have installed my wireless router I have been unable to print from the internet.  I continue to get the code above.  What do I need to do?

Hi cindy, welcome to the forums!
I saw your post about the "res://ieframe.dll/preview.js" error you are seeing when you attempt to print from the internet. I will gladly look into this error for you to see what I can find for troubleshooting steps.
I will need some more information from you:
What printer(s) are installed on the computer?
How is the printer connected (USB/ wireless/ wired/ Bluetooth)?
What is the Operating System of the computer?
Have you tested hardware functionality (copy and test print)?
Have you tried printing from different programs and web browsers?
Have you tried adding, reconnecting and/or uninstalled and reinstalled the software?
Please let me know the above and I will do some research!
Have a great Thursday

    The issue is caused when Windows creates the printer profile in the control panel that it doesn't correctly create it with the drivers.
    We're not going to completely uninstall all the HP software, instead we're going to remove the corrupt Windows printer profile and reinstall it.  Total time for this on an average computer is about 5-10 minutes to completely repair (including reboot).
    1) Navigate to Start Menu > Devices and Printers or Start Menu > Control Panel > Printers
    2) Select each printer profile for the printer with an issue, then select remove device/printer.
    3) Reboot
    4) Navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > HP > insert model # here > Add Printer (or Setup Wizard)
    5) Follow the setup prompts to reinstall the printer profile and it recreates the Windows printer.
    6) Run the HP Update Tool from Start Menu > All Programs > HP if your printer installs it, rebooting afterwards if necessary.
    7) Test by printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out).
    Let me know if you have any questions or issues.

    The real repair isn't to uninstall IE9, that's NOT a fix.
    99% of the time just:
    1) go to the printer control panel, delete the printer.
    2) Reboot
    3) Run the Printer SEtup wizard again to add the printer back
    4) Resolved...
    5) Test by printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out)
    Occasionally you have to remove the printer software and reinstall it, but that's rare.
    (PS: I fix computers and peripherals for a large international company and do this ALL the time with HP printers and have no issues afterward.)

  • Skype Crashing - ieframe.dll error

    Hello
    I've recently got myself a new PC and have installed Skype on it. Since then it has been crashing fequently but at random times. After looking into the error, I found it to be a problem with 'ieframe.dll', a file used by Internet Explorer.
    This is the error details:
    Faulting application name: Skype.exe, version: 6.20.0.104, time stamp: 0x53fd9215
    Faulting module name: ieframe.dll, version: 11.0.9600.17280, time stamp: 0x53f26cda
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00064778
    Faulting process id: 0xc9c
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cfd665a9ee092b
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ieframe.dll
    Report Id: c740e610-426b-11e4-8f4a-e03f497f7724
    I've looked online and found several places where this error is reported, however none of the fixes suggested worked for me.
    I have tried:
     - Clearing the Skype folder
     - Reinstalling Skype
     - Uninstalling IE updates (The futhest I could roll it back was IE8 on my Windows 7 PC)
     - Deleated temporay IE files and such
    And probabley a few other things I can't remember.
    None of them have worked and the program is still crashing. I am wondering if I am going to be forced to reinstall Windows in the hope of it fixing the broken ieframe.dll file, but I don't want to do this unless I have no other choice as it is time consuming to remove all my files from my PC so I can do so.
    If anyone has any additional suggestions that I might try, please let me know.
    Thank you.

    You can also try to revert your Internet Explorer to the previous IE10 or IE9 version.
    In order to uninstall IE11 you should go to Windows Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> View installed updates -> Microsoft Windows -> Internet Explorer 11.

  • Script error: wdp_edit_on is Null, URL: ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_webOC

    Hello,
    I like to train myself in ABAP webdynpro, so I have installed NW 7.02 SP6 EhP2 on a virtual machine (VMware) with Win2008R2.
    I have applied with SICF all services as mentioned in OSS note 1088717 describing a list of /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/... etc.. as well as some services specificly around view designer.
    Furthermore, the file "hosts" is set as follows:
    192.168.8.128    dummy.com
    192.168.8.128    PALATINVIRT1         PALATINVIRT1.dummy.com
    10.10.0.10       PALATINVIRT1         PALATINVIRT1.dummy.com
    whereas PALATINVIRT1 is the name of my host installed with Win2008R2 and NW 7.02..
    Finally, ping tests are successfully for:
    palatinvirt1
    palatinvirt1.dummy.com
    dummy.com
    All of them are replying with 192.168.8.128.
    Instance parameter icm/host_name_full is set to "palatinvirt1.dummy.com" (checked via transaction RZ10).
    If I launch SE80, select "Web dynpro components" in order to check my view , I can open the view and click on tab "Layout" but I'm not able to see the generated HTML page as well as I don't see any UI element toolbar if I'm switching in edit mode. Instead, I will get a script error "The value of property " wdp_edit_on" is Null" and then "URL: res://iframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_web_OC.htm".
    If I check some activated services, especially the tutorial webdynpro applications (I have activated them in SICF), I will get a typical error "Web page cannot be displayed". So, it looks like a generic error I have.
    Does anyone know which setting I have to check?

    Hello to All,
    I have found the reason for the error: resolution of my URL was not possible.
    If you get such errors, this does not have anything to do with service pack updates or so or ICF services.
    If you are driving a scenario virtual machine VMware with NW02 installed as well as SAPGUI installed on your physical PC (host PC) and you have no DNS server running on your host, then you have to define a mapping of your VM IP address to the FQDN.
    I also have installed the Microsoft Loopback adapter, assigned to IP address 10.10.0.10 on my VM.
    In my case, palatinvirt1.dummy.com is the FQDN.
    Therefore, on VM the file HOSTS in directory c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc should contain:
    192.168.8.128      dummy.com
    192.168.8.128      palatinvirt1      palatinvirt1.dummy.com
    10.10.0.10         dummy.com
    This will enable each kind of requests via WAS.
    On your host PC, it is also required to define a correct mapping for the palatinvirt1.dummy.com address, otherwise your host does not know where to look at.
    So, modify on your host PC the file HOSTS in directory c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc:
    192.168.8.128      palatinvirt1.dummy.com
    This solved my problem.
    I also recommend to fix the IP address on your VM and not to use DHCP service on top, otherwise you are risking of getting different IP addresses next time you are starting new your VM.
    Yours
    Stephan

  • Are there any good code examples for displaying preview images in the storefront?

    I can gather other info using folio.xxx, but can not find any good examples to use for preview images.  Tried folio.getPreviewImage() with no success.  Oh, I should mention it is version 2.  Plenty of examples for version 1.
    Perhaps if I get a little more specific.
    I am calling up the folios via:
           adobeDPS.libraryService.folioMap.addedSignal.add(function(folios) {
                for (var i = 0; i < folios.length; i++) {
                    addFolio(folios[i]);
            }, this);
    This eventually works into a function where I am gathering and displaying folio data:
         var productId = folio.productId;
        var html  = "<div id='" + productId + "'>";
            html +=     "<a href='#'><img class='shadow' width='120' src='' border=0 /></a>";
            html +=     "<br /><span class='bold'>" + folio.title + "</span>";
            html += "</div>";
        this.$el = $(html);
    folio.title works fine to pull up the title, but I can no longer use folio.getPreviewURL in v2.  What code should I be using to set the src to the preview image?
    Thanks

    Have you looked at the default implementations of the library?
    In FolioItemView's render function, there is a function(follow the nested functions!):
    setTimeout(function(){ scope.loadPreviewImage() }, 100);
    It references this function (this doesn't copy well):
    loadPreviewImage: function() {
    if (this.el.parentElement) {
    var transaction = this.folio.getPreviewImage(135, 180, true);
    transaction.completedSignal.addOnce(this.getPreviewImageHandler, this);
    Going deeper, into the getPreviewImageHandler function is where you see the url value..
    if (transaction.state == adobeDPS.transactionManager.transactionStates.FINISHED && transaction.previewImageURL != null) {
                                  this.$el.find(".folio-thumb").attr("src", transaction.previewImageURL);
    Within the example is also code for supplying a preview when the Adobe API is not available:
    (Within the render function)
    var json = this.model.toJSON();
    $folioThumb.attr("src", json.libraryPreviewUrl);
    If you're making any changes to where the preview is displayed, you can just swap out the class ".folio-thumb" to whatever the class (or id) is of the element you're wanting to render the preview in.

    I have been able to reproduce this error whenever we have Internet Explorer 8 installed on a Windows XP SP3 machine, running GroupWise 7.0.4.
    The easiest way to reproduce:
    New Mail -> Enter user in "To:" Field -> Click on "Subject Line" -> Go Back to "To:" field, and Right-Click on User, and select "Details".
    Window will display for a moment, but never display the information, and then subsequently Crash against ieframe.dll (8.00.XXXX).
    We are banging our heads against this one, because we tried everything we can think of. Reaimging, Reinstalling both IE8 and GroupWise, rolling back Windows Updates... Nothing seems to be working.

    I believe you need GW8 client for IE8 support but I'm not sure.... Try setting Firefox or some other browser as default on the workstation and see if it works better.

  • Userform controls disappearing in Word 2013/Windows 8.1 with High-Res display - DLL error?

    I have a .dotm file with a large number of modules and userforms. Creating new documents from the template works fine on almost every computer I've tested it on (hundreds), but I've run into a setup that fails consistently.
    Two different Samsung ATIV 9's with a high res display and Windows 8 (64bit)/Office 2013 show the same problem:
    When opening a new document based on the template for the first time, it works fine. If I open the VB editor, everything looks normal, userforms are intact.
    On the second and all consecutive attempts, it throws a "Type Mismatch" error. Opening the VB Editor, I get a compile error on lines of code referencing components of the first userform (alphabetically). Opening that userform, it shows only a blank
    multi-page control, and all the other controls are missing - hence the new compile errors on controls that used to exist. If I remove that userform and save the file, the project compiles, but opening a new document from the template will result in "Word
    has stopped working..."
    I can actually reproduce this behavior starting from scratch - new blank document, save as a .dotm. Create a new userform and add a multipage control. Clicking any control in the toolbox to add it to the form will result in a "Type Mismatch" error,
    even though there's no VBA code. I can then successfully add the control to the form. But, once I save and reopen the template, the multi-page control is blank, and the other controls I put on it disappear.
    I at one point got an error from the VB Editor that it "could not open macro storage" and the included help suggested that might be due to an incorrect version of vbe7.dll.
    The only copy of vbe7.dll I could find was at:
    c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\vfs\ProgramFilesCommonX86\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA7.1
    The dll version was 7.1.10.44
    I tried replacing that file with a vbe7.dll file from a working computer (version 7.0.15.89 from c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VBA\VBA7), but that just resulted in the VB editor not loading at all.
    I have tried both a 32bit Click-to-run version of Office 2013, and installing off a CD with 64bit Office 2013, both had exactly the same error.
    The reason I'm wondering if it's a high-DPI display related error is that googling about vbe7.dll errors, I came across this hotfix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2880496/en-us
    which claims it "Fixes various Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) issues with displays on high-DPI devices."
    Neither the 32bit or 64bit installer for that hotfix would run, they said there was no affected programs installed.
    My reasoning for suspecting a hardware/DLL incompatibility is this:
    1) It's not the template or the VBA code, since those work elsewhere and the same behavior happens with any file with a userform
    2) It's not the Office version, since both 32/64 bit, MSI and Click-to-run didn't work
    3) It's not Windows 8.1, since this same template works fine on other machines
    4) The first time I open the template on the affected machines, it works fine - but the template is shipped compacted and decompiled. After I open it once and then close, Word has compiled the code and corrupted it somehow, because whatever the first userform
    was in the list shows up as blank.
    5) It feels hardware-specific, since out of hundreds of machines, I've only seen this behavior on two of the same laptop model - seems like too much of a coincidence.
    Is there any chance the VBE in Office 2013 is somehow incompatible with this hardware? If that might be the case, does anyone have any idea how I'd go about testing and/or fixing it?
    Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    Hi Chris,
    Try the following.
    Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59501-60000/sp59861.exe
    When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  If you see an entry for IDT HD Audio ( or very similar IDT entry ), right click the device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.  If there was no IDT entry, just proceed below.
    When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
    Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
    Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.
