Code works in DW8 but not DW CS3

Why would the following code work in Dreamweaver 8 but not in
Dreamweaver CS3?
Expires in

  • Code working on Windows but not in Unix

    Hello,
    I try to test a https connection. My method is to accept all kind of certificat.
    Under Windows this code works well and return true when Itest the https connection but under Unix it returns false.
    Why if I accept all certificat , that does not work?
    Thank for any light.

    1) Are you absolutely sure that the keystorePath variable contains the correct path to
    your truststore on the unix machine?
    2) Does the truststore contain the certificate of the server you are trying to connect to?
    3) Im guessing that your commented-out line using the trustAllCerts refers to a blank
    or promiscuous TrustManager implementation that does not check your truststore. Does the server
    work on the unix machine using the trustAllCerts? If it does, then that means there is something
    wrong with your truststore (possibly one of the two above mentioned items).

  • CSS code works in dreamweaver but not in browsers

    I've scaled this code down to the very basics in attempts to find where my error is and I can not figure out what is going wrong here. The code works fine in the dreamweaver CS5 preview, but will not display in browsers properly.
    My first 2 classes are working fine, but my 3rd will not work in the browsers. I have posted this page here http://www.vaporapparel.com/color.html
    The class for the beginning paragraph works fine, the class for the headers works fine, but my 3rd class for the sub-text does not take effect outside of dreamweaver preview. Below the sub-text on this page I posted a screenshot of my css sheet. If you can help me out, please do... It is greatly appreciated
    Thanks!

  • JMF code working under linux but not windows XP

    Hello everyone,
    I'm currently working on a nice cross-platform project involving sound producing. I decided to take a look at JMF and test it a bit to know if its features can suit me. I tried to make it works under windows, using a very simple sample of code. The system seems to play the sound as some console output detects the start and the end, but all i hear is a very short noise ( 1/2second ) like a "CLIK" and nothing else. I tested the code under linux, using the same computer and it works just fine, playing the same wave nicely and entirely.
    some info:
    -i used the cross platform JMF, no performance pack ( i tried it , but still no result )
    -the code just opens a file dialog and plays the selected file
    -the selected file was always a very simple .wav
    -i did not use system classpath variables because i don't like it, i rather use local classpath ( which works fine too, no doubt about it )
    -i tested this little soft on 2 other computer using windows XP, and still got the same result.
    Please, have you got an idea about what's going on ?
    Thanks a lot for any answer!

  • CS6 Plugin works on windows but not mac

    Hi,
    We have been developing a plugin for InDesign since CS3 and have recently ported it to CS6 (it was ported to all previous versions too, as they came out).
    I followed the porting guide etc. and on windows it compiles and runs just ok - the plugin works correctly.
    But when i compiled the same files on our mac machine and put the .indesignPlugin file in th plugins directory i can't see our plugin's context menu.
    I can see that it is in fact loaded on startup (when i remove it ID loads 325 extensions, when i put it back - 326), but still it dosen't seem to work...
    I initially thought that the versioning was off but our PluginVersion resource relies solemnly on SDKDef.h , i also tried putiing the file in CS5's plugin directory and got an error message that CS6 is required - so the version info is fine i guess.
    We are using xCode 3.2.5 (because we have to support Mac OS 10.5 and 10.4) to build on mac and i've never had problems before - it worked on CS4, CS5 and CS5.5.
    The changes i made when porting were minor and only in the code - so what has changed? and how come it works on windows but not on mac?
    Any input is greatly appreciated, i've already spent days trying to understand this.
    Thanks,
    Dan.

    Hi and thank you for replying.
    The resources do get compiled correctly (i assume this because we do get a .indesign file at the end - which means the ODFRC ran ok). they are linked correctly in the mac project (i saw a file that determines the version - it's linked the same way against my win and mac projects and the win version works fine so i guess that's ok too).
    the context menu is just another menu on the "menu bar" (don't know how to call it?) - i.e where the "file" and "edit" etc. menus are.
    I can't seem to understand how come this works fine under windows but not under mac - they are essentially the same projects linked against the same resources (the difference being iCode vs VC10 projects).
    can this be related to the fact we're using xCode 3.2.5?
    Thank you.

  • Medical app from Intuit works in IE, but not Firefox.

    Encrypted medical app works in new IE, but not Firefox. Everything works down to the end, and click on "continue" and nothing happens. A tech and I have spent hours on this. Did not work on FF5 or 6. Did not work on old IE, but did on fresh new version with no data files copied in.

    If it works in IE but not FF, then it has nothing to do with the mp3s. More likely it's because of the HTML on the page.
    To start, page is missing DOCTYPE declaration... a MAJOR problem. The DOCTYPE declares which set of rules the browser will use to display the page. Without it, different browsers go crazy or do not work at all.
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_DOCTYPE.asp
    Validate the html code here:

    You will have to fix all the errors if you want this to work in all browsers.

  • Sockets work on localhost but not remotely?

    hi there,
    I have created a simple multithreaded client / server program.
    The Server listens on port 2222 for clients. When a client connects - the client sends its ip address to the server and then disconects. More than 1 client can connect at the same time to the server and the server also listens continuasly. I have 2 problems with the program...
    a) the programs work on localhost but not on remote machines? (Well not over my LAN anyway).
    b) I am getting 2 lots of 'datain' when the server recieves an ip address from the client when the client should only send it once.

                        Socket clientSocket = new Socket(hostname, portNumber);
                        Socket sock = new Socket (InetAddress.getLocalHost(), portNumber);
                        BufferedWriter dataout;
                        java.net.InetAddress i = java.net.InetAddress.getLocalHost();
                        System.out.println("Sending ip address...\n" + i.getHostAddress());
                             dataout = new BufferedWriter (new OutputStreamWriter (sock.getOutputStream()));
                                  dataout.write (i.getHostAddress());
                                  dataout.flush();
                                  sock.close();
                                       clientSocket.close();
                             }Oh, yeah - check out my site below, I am trying to write an audio streaming client / server in Java if anyone is interested in getting involved or just being nosey....
    http://www.projectg.dsl.pipex.com

    In your client you are creating two sockets (why?). One connected to localhost, the other connected to the host specified using readLine.
    If your client runs on the same machine you have started your server, you have two connects to your server instead of one.
    The ip adresse is sent using the socket connected to localhost. That is why it does not work on remote machines.
    Hope this helps.

  • Applets work in NS but not in IE

    Hello,
    I would very much appreciate tips on setting up sun java so that I can make applets that work in IE.
    Now, my IE have no problems with applets found on the web, for example this one is ok:
    http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.1/demo/Animator/example1.html
    But, the examples installed with j2sdk1.4.1_07 will only work in Netscape. In IE these applets just display a grey applet area. (IE6/XP and IE5.5/Win98)
    So far:
    Have read installations instruction and ReadMe files. Installed j2sdk1.4.1_07, added PATH, code compiles fine. Console programs work ok. I also compiled a Hello World applet, which also worked in NS, but not in IE.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Me again...
    Right... Maybe I am answering my own question here? It seems that the programs compiled with j2sdk1.4.1_07 will NOT run under the JVM 1.1.4 from Microsoft Corp?
    So, anything that I compile with the later sun package will most likely fail on IE browsers unless the user have upgraded their JVMs?
    If so, then what version of Sun Java can be recommended to achieve reasonable amount of compatibility with the IE5.5 and IE6 that are out there?

  • Applet works in Netscape but not IE

    Very basic Hello World applet. IT doesn't work in IE 6. Not sure why.
    html source:
    <html>
    <body>
    <applet code="test.class" Width=640 Height=480></applet>
    </body>
    </html>
    Anyone know why?

    I do have java runtime installed. I used java SDK 1.4.1. What runtime do I need installed for applets made with this version of java? I have the 1.4.1 runtime installed. It doesn't make sense to me that it would work in Netscape but not Internet Explorer. Any help would be great. Thax

  • Published interactive project works in IE but not in Chrome???

    My buttons and interactions are working through an Internet Explorer browser, but loose their functionality when play via Chrome. Anyone have any ideas?

    If it works in IE but not FF, then it has nothing to do with the mp3s. More likely it's because of the HTML on the page.
    To start, page is missing DOCTYPE declaration... a MAJOR problem. The DOCTYPE declares which set of rules the browser will use to display the page. Without it, different browsers go crazy or do not work at all.
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_DOCTYPE.asp
    Validate the html code here:
    http://validator.w3.org/
    You will have to fix all the errors if you want this to work in all browsers.
    Best wishes,

  • I have a JavaScript loop that works in Dreamweaver but not in my browsers. What's missing? Should the page load another script first?

    I know that the code is clean because it runs perfectly in DW (even with the occasional lag). Shorter loop functions have also worked in DW, but not in my Chrome or IE browsers. Is there a script or program that the HTML should run first?

    I'm sorry, of course:
    The Crow Haven Witches and Psychics of Salem
    I am designing a phone psychic hotline (don't ask! ) page, and the loop is supposed to sort the readers according to their availability. Each should appear in their respective listing.
    The setup works perfectly in DW, but none of the scripted material appears in the current page. I will add a photo of how it does look in DW.
