Coding the "viewed" status of a slide

I have a module that uses four groups of slides in a branching situation.  The user views one group based on their selection of a click box.  Because all slides are not viewed, the topic on the TOC is never marked complete.  I'd like to code the un-viewed slides as viewed.  I can write the code but need the system variable that allows me to access the viewed/not viewed status of a slide.  There must be one for the slide objects.

Brijj,
your suggestion helped me to find the real problem.
I enabled the option you suggested. I was a bit skeptical about the setting because it is related to not preferred DP. After checking it I saw the option in Software Center for downloading and installing software. But it failed.
By digging in the error appeared I found that Boundary groups didn't have a reference to assigned site. When ticked this option it started to work. Then I checked Use this boundary group for site assignment and removed the settings you suggested. It works
fine.
So I just had to read more about proffered Distribution Point and Boundary Groups.
Thank you very much for a tip.

  • Display "View Status" link by executing the package in custom menu

    Hello All,
    I have an EMenu statement (MNU_eDATA_SELECTPACKAGE) to run a package from the custom menu. But once I execute it, I would like to display the view status link similiar to E-data -> view status. Is this feasible?
    Or Is it feasible to display a message after a successful package execution?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You can use "MNU_eDATA_VIEWSTATUS" for this purpose.
    Hope this helps.

  • Default run but nothin in View Status

    Hi Experts,
    We're running BPC7 M SP3with SQL SERVER2008.
    We have run default package and system showed message "The Request to run the packag on the server was successful. The package is now running".
    And yet, there was nothing in the "View Status". We run it couple of times. Usually it would show after second run (even that already weird). But this time, nothing came up.
    Any idea which part i should check?
    Thanks a lot for the guidance.
    Ce Wie

    Hi Petar and Naresh,
    Thank you for your response.
    I'll report to OSS for this case.
    System showed the package after running the package at least twice, and i can delete it.
    Would it be possible that this relates to network issue?
    Because, i've got another pattern, which i have to set schedule to run the package if i connect from outside network, but i can choose run immediately when i am in the office.
    Thanks,
    Ce Wie

  • TOC Status for a slide doesn't update until all of group is viewed (Cap 5)

    I'm having some trouble understanding some behavior I'm seeing with the TOC status flag. It's my understanding that, in Captivate 5, the status flag only appears after you reach the end of a slide. In newer versions, that has changed so that a user need only view a slide to trigger the status flag.
    Either one of those would be acceptable to me, but I'm experiencing something different. My TOC is structured so that only the first slide in a slide group appears in the TOC, such that these are more like chapter stops than granular, slide-level navigators (I have 174 slides in the project, so chapters are more digestible). Entries in the TOC do not show completion unless all slides in the chapter have been viewed, not just the initial slides which populate the TOC. This becomes a problem in specific chapters, ones in which I turn things over to the user to interact with the demo software and involve some branching, that do not show completion unless every slide in that chapter are touched. Why is this? Shouldn't the TOC depend only on the slides shown in the TOC? If so, I can ensure that opening slide to a chapter, the one populating the TOC is viewed to completion. Instead, this appears to be tied to the branching within these chapters, even though those slides aren't represented in the TOC.
    To be clear:
    I'm only concerned with this status flag in the TOC; I'm not concerned about completion reporting for the course as a whole (I handle that in a different way).
    I've set the activity launch button on the initial chapter slide to "Continue" to the next slide, ensuring the slide is viewed to completion.
    I can reliably reproduce that the status flag does not appear unless every slide in the chapter/group has been viewed, and that it definitely does appear when every slide has been viewed.
    This does not vary with the grouping of the slides; I removed the group and experienced the same status behavior.
    I'm aware of the TickTock widget, may resort to it if necessary, but I'm perplexed by what I thought would be straightforward behavior.
    I'm not concerned with a rigorous check that users have completed every slide; I simply want the TOC to show that a chapter has been visited, and for that purpose viewing the initial slide for the activity is good enough for me.
    Any ideas?

    Thinking bit out of the box, when I read your question. To show that a chapter has been visited, shouldn't a custom menu (or dashboard) be a better solution than trying to use the canned way with TOC? Something like the example in this post:
    Captivate 8 - First Adventures - Captivate blog
    I know this is for CP8, but long time ago I offered even a template for CP5
    Template for reusing script? - Captivate blog
    For that old version advanced actions could only be transferred to a new project using a template. And shared actions were still far away.

  • Standard Report to view the pegging status of the orders.

    Hi All,
    Is there any standard report which displays the pegging status for all the orders. The pegging status is currently being viewed from product view for every single product which is very tedious, thereby we are expecting a report that can display the pegging status for all the orders in a single report.
    Regards,
    S.Manjunath

    Hi Manjunath,
              I dont think there is any standard report to display the pegging relationship in one screen.there is one transaction /sapapo/peg1 which will show you the same pegging overview as in product view.
    You can develop one custom report which can show you all the details for entered material and location combination, for which you can use the std. function module /SAPAPO/EFPL_ORD_NET_GET which can give you the entire pegging relationship details for particular product location combination.

  • How and when does oracle changes the object status on a view?

    I have HR schema and AWARD schema. AWARD schema has views referencing the base tables in HR. Whenever I refresh HR the dependant views on AWARD becomes invalid. I recompile those views after the refresh.
    Could anyone explain the internals of this object status change process? How does my AWARD schema sense the invalid status? Why it is not re-establishing the status after the data import?

    I refresh HR test instance from production. If you are not so sure about this process...here is what happens ....export production HR schema, drop all the objects from HR test and import the production data into HR test.
    I am not worried about what is happening but would like to understand the internal process (beyond the basics).

  • Setting SCORM 1.2 to force a mastery score in the manifest even when only slide views are used to tr

    I have some courses that use only slide views to track completion, because the quizzes are set as separate elements in the LMS we are using (from Oracle PeopleSoft).  The LMS people are telling me they require a masteryscore of 0 to be included in the SCORM manifest file when using slide views.  However, when the manifest files are created, there is no mastery score included in the manifest.
    Is there a way to force Captvate 6 to publish a mastery score in the SCORM manifest even when the completion criteria are 80% slide views?

    I am not sure, but you can always unzip the SCORm package and add the masteryscore by hand
    In your manifest there should be an organizations section like this. Add <adlcp:masteryscore> under the <item> tag
    <organization identifier="org-ident">
                                  <title>Course Title</title>
    <item identifier="some_id_1" identifierref="some_id_1-1" isvisible="true">
                                            <title>Course Title</title>
    <adlcp:masteryscore>0</adlcp:masteryscore>
    </item>
    </organization>
    </organizations>
    The above example has a single SCO with an ID of "some_id_1-1" an activity id of "some_id_1" and a masteryscore of 0. The masteryscore can be between 0 an 100

  • Why My Quiz Status Completion Status Slide Does not Move on to the pre-set Success/Fail slide

    Hi,
    I set the Pass or Fail status in the Quiz Preferences as below: If passed, it should jump to Slide 8; if failed, go to Slide 9 (image #1)
    But when I am running and testing the file (F4), it will stop at the Assessment Completion Status screen (Image #2) and never jump to the pre-defined slide. Does anybody know why? Thanks!

    Melissa

    This happens so often, users are deleting embedded objects on Question or Score slides. Embedded objects have no visible timeline. Some of them can be turned off using checkboxes (like Back, Next buttons on question slides), others disappear automatically (Submit during review, Retake when Quiz attempts are exhausted) but deleting them manually is always a bad idea. And Continue button on the Score slide is as important as the Submit button on Question slides. Those are the buttons that trigger the actions linked to those slides: Success/Last Attempt actions for the Question Slides, and the Passing/Failing grade actions for the Score slide. This is just a bit more in details what Rod told you, not another answer at all.
    Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog
    Question Question Slides - Part 2 - Captivate blog
    Those articles describe functionality and tweaking possibilities. They were written for an older versions, but are still valid.
    If you want to skip the Continue button, it is possible to create a conditional advanced action that uses the value of the system variable cpQuizInfoPassFail to choose a jump to the appropriate slide.

  • Coding for event "status change" in opportunity

    Hello,
    i need to process own coding if an opportunity was changed to status "lost".
    How would you realize this? Where do i find a god point to add this own coding which shall be processed on status change?
    Thank you
    Best regards
    Manfred

    Hi.
    It's very simple.
    You create your function module using the same interface that another ones in this transaction.
    Pick up an example, for instance the entry:
    BUS2000111  |  end of document processing (50)   |  priority: 40  | object STATUS | Event: after change | Atribute: <*> | function module: CRM_OPPORT_H_PROB_SET_EC
    Use the same interface for your function module:
    FUNCTION CRM_OPPORT_H_PROB_SET_EC.
    ""Local Interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_OBJECT_NAME) TYPE  CRMT_OBJECT_NAME
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_EVENT_EXETIME) TYPE  CRMT_EVENT_EXETIME
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_EVENT) TYPE  CRMT_EVENT
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_ATTRIBUT) TYPE  CRMT_EVENT OPTIONAL
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_HEADER_GUID) TYPE  CRMT_OBJECT_GUID OPTIONAL
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_STRVAL_OLD) TYPE  ANY OPTIONAL
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_STRVAL_NEW) TYPE  ANY OPTIONAL
    All these parameters will going to be updated with current info while you are creating your opportunity document.
    In IV_STRVAL_OLD you will find info about the previous status (which is the object assigned), and in IV_STRVAL_NEW you will find the info about the new status that was assigned in the opportunity document.
    So what you have to do is:
    1 - create a Z function module with this same interface.
    2 - Assign it to object STATUS_H, on CRMV_OBJECT_FUNC view using SM30 transaction. Note: I am just not sure if you must use object STATUS_H or STATUS.
    3 - Create the event that must be:
    BUS2000111 | 1 - Imediatelly | Priority: 99 for instance | object: STATUS_H or STATUS | event: AFTER_CHANGE | Atribute <*> | your function module | check for function on header | callback: empty
    This is better than use the ORDER_SAVE badi because it executes your function module as soon as you change the status.
    I guess that using the CRM_ORDER_STATUS badi as it was sugested is also a good option.
    Regards.

  • Codings in Maintenance View - Status ?

    Hi ... I am in a dilemma now.
    I try to trap the value before saving my data.
    So, I code in the maintenance view.
    It is a very simple process but I just can't figure how to get it work.
    Let's say, ... I have 4 columns in a table.
    Key1, Field1, Field2, Field3.
    Existing Data ( 3 records here )
    key1, f1, f2, f3
    key2, f4, f5, f6
    key3, f7, f8, f9
    Apart from the key, I need to make sure that the Field1, Field2, Field3 is unique.
    So, before I save the data, I will perform a COUNT via SQL.
    My problem is, it loops through all the record.
    Can I have a status like, only fields / record that updated go through the validation ?
    Any system variable in SAP that allow me to check whether it is UPDATE / INSERT status ?
    Thanks.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE LISTE_EXIT_COMMAND AT EXIT-COMMAND.
    MODULE LISTE_BEFORE_LOOP.
    LOOP AT EXTRACT.
       MODULE LISTE_INIT_WORKAREA.
       CHAIN.
    // .... all the codes here
        MODULE SET_UPDATE_FLAG ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
       ENDCHAIN.
       FIELD VIM_MARKED MODULE LISTE_MARK_CHECKBOX.
       CHAIN.
        FIELD ZTMPU_GEN_MATMAS-MATNR .
        MODULE LISTE_UPDATE_LISTE.
       ENDCHAIN.
    ENDLOOP.

    Something strange ...
    I coded the subroutine under event - 05 , inserting new record.
    When I SAVE it, the record created.
    But, when I exit, the message prompted.
    It seems like the validation didn't fire.
    Maybe I use the wrong message.
        IF var_total > 1.
            message e250(zmm) with 'The criterias you entered already exist'.
        ENDIF.
    Any ideas ? Thanks.

    I can't find the 'show status bar' option in the View Option section, it simply isn't there. Also, every time I go to the store, iTunes crashes.

    Are you working with Pretest Questions?
    Is it happening with specific sldie, can you chekc the slide type and verify again.
    Pretest do not allow skin-playbar to appear.

  • How to Print the whole view content from a button on the View Layout

    Dear All,
    Good Morning All
    I am New to WebDynPro.Solution needed Urgently
    How to take print whole view content(lay out) in
    webdynpro application.i.e whatever it may be tablecontent or label or inputfield .
    Could you send the coded part briefly step by step from the beginning itself i.e
    i put the button in the view lay out below the printed parts(label or inputfield) name like show preview .
    Now my Question is what should i write in show preview function to take the print in label fields in the webdynpro view lay out
    B'cos i am new to webdynpro.Help me
    Thx in advance
    Regards
    Dhinakar

    Web Dynpro by default does not provide the option of printing the view content.
    However still you have a round about way of doing it. Create the an html page similar to the Web Dynpro page. Store the code into a String variable.
    String html="<html> ....<scripts>window.print()</scripts></html>";
    bytes[] source=html.getBytes();
    try{
    byte[] b=new byte[1];
    IWDCachedWebResource res=WDWebResource.getWebResource(b,WDWebResourceType.HTML);
    String url=res.getURL();
    }catch (WDURLException e) {
              // TODO: handle exception
    Now open the url in a new window and that would print the content of the html page.

  • RowSetInfo; bc4j; how to get the View Object

    So I'm trying to get/update/insert/delete records in a database that contain an interMedia image in a blob.
    I've figured out that I can't simply set the ImmediateAccess attribute. It doesn't like that...
    So I'm trying to go after the view object, since the interMedia white paper uses a VO row setAttribute to accomplish the write.
    RowSetInfo extends ResultSetInfo which has a method getViewObject(). Cool.
    So I try it... and get an error that getViewObject() has protected access.
    Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Or should I be even taking this approach?!?!?!
    If I go exclusively with the VO layer... how do I preserve the navigationBar functionality? Or do I need to roll my own?
    ( NOTE: This hilights another example of the perception of 'friction' between rowsetinfos and the view objects/entity objects. An approach that makes "sense" to me as a naive novice didn't pan out. And oddly, most of the bc4j examples go against VOs when, if you are an application programmer, you may never see or use the VO methods ( although it looks like we should be)... we're working at the ResultSetInfo layer. )
    Is the the observation of other folk who are building Java Applications/Applets? Or do you all work directly with VOs instead of going through the ResultSetInfo "layer"?

    Here is some sample code that I am currently working on and will post on OTN when complete. The code shows how to access a BC4J Domain based on an Oracle type. Working with interMedia is similar since interMedia utilizes Oracle Object types. Please note that I have not tested this yet against interMedia, but I'm hoping that you may find the general process useful.
