COGI at WM bin level

Hello experts,
My requirement is to see the PSA negaive bins causing production issues.
Why cannot we see WM errors in COGI. Do we have any report with combination or IIM and WM?
Super users are only looking at COGI and clearing then. They are not looking at negatives in BIN. This is causing issues. Right now they are seeing LX03 fro negatives but they want to see as weel in COGI.
ANy help?

Hello manu
The following thread points that, if you does not allow negative quantities on WM customizing and set
message L9 040 to error, the goods movement should appear on COGI.
Storage Tpe 902 allow negative stock.
Did you already try that?

  • Create the stock in storage bin level

    Hai all
while i am doing transfer of order it is asking that storage unit type and the material stock is not maintained in storage bin .
can anybody tell me how to maintain the stock in bin level .please help me is there any tcode for that
    regards
    satish

    Dear Satish
A storage type generally contains several storage spaces or slots. These are called storage bins in Warehouse Management (WM). The storage bin is the smallest available unit of space in a warehouse. The storage bin therefore describes the position in the warehouse where the goods are or can be stored.
Since the address of a storage bin is frequently derived from a coordinate system, a storage bin is often referred to as a coordinate. The coordinate 01-02-03 for example, can refer to a storage bin in row 1, stack 2, and level 3.
You assign each storage bin to a specific warehouse number and storage type according to its location. You must also assign each storage bin to a storage section.
You can also define the following additional characteristics of a storage bin:
             --> Maximum weight
             --> Total capacity
             --> Fire containment section
--> Storage bin type (for example, for small or large pallets)
With certain stock placement strategies, the storage bin type plays a significant role in optimizing the automatic search for a storage bin in connection with the pallet type. For example, you can define the WM putaway strategy to place large industrial pallets into a specific large bin type and smaller pallets into small bins.
<i><b>For information on how to define storage bins, call up the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Warehouse Management and see under Master Data --> Storage Bins .</b></i>
Generally speaking, you can use any combination of letters and numbers for a storage bin coordinate with the exception of certain alphanumeric characters that are used for stock placement strategy P (according to pallet or storage unit type).
When goods are placed into storage, the system selects coordinates in ascending order according to specific sort criteria, and assigns the next available storage bin based on the coordinate structure you define for creating bins.

  • No stock at storage bin level

    hello,
during outbound delivery creation, we need to do picking though transfer order.  but the system cannot find stock at storage bin level....
how can we create stock at storgare bin level ?
    regds
    pamela

Please check the stock for that item in LS24. If exists note down the storage type.
Check whether the Storage type search sequence exists for that particulare storage type in the TO by creating it manually. Create TO --> Click Storage type srch seq in the top and then check whether the storage type exists in the search. If not enter the storage type and push stock figures in the top and enter the qty needed and save it. Hope it helps.

    Hi,
You can use LSMW for Tcode LT01 to upload inital stock in WH.
So here u can enter all relevant data required like material, qty, batch, plant, Sloc etc..
    Hope this helps you...

  • Bin level cycle counting - material appears as 'ready/blocked'

    Hi all,
I could not find an answer to this question in the previous posts.
Cycle counting has been set up at the storage bin level. When a new quant is generated for a material, then the material appears again on the inventory list (LX26) with description 'Ready/Blocked' although it has already been counted.
Could someone confirm if this is SAP standard behaviour or if there is something odd going on here?
    Many thanks!
    Kind regards
    JHK

    He all,
I have a similar question. Cycle Counting only within IM if you have batch management.
    Scenario:
Customizing = only one count per year (365 days) KZ = 'A'
After counting all Materials type 'A' including Batches everything seems ok. But receiving a new Batch (new number) to an already counted Material/Batch Type 'A' the material appears again in the cycle counting transaction MICN or MIQ1
Could you confirm this SAP behavior.
    Many Thanks

  • WM Pick mateiral pick / movmenet stragety could setup on bin level ?

    Hi experts
Now we hope to setup on location as two location type , like one place cny mateiral , another is USD material. Is that possible to setup pick mateiarl stragety in sap on bin level ? like bin a is empty , then print TO to move mateiral to Bin B?
for different location type , it could setup different bin number and physcial location ,right?
    Thanks
    ALice

Putaway and picking stretagy is defined at storage type level, not at bin level.
In your scenario, you can setup replinishment process. The process is as follow:
Replenishing Fixed Bins in the Warehouse
    Usage
The replenishment function is used to fill up the stock in fixed bins. The system first creates transfer requirements for the quantities needed. Afterward, you process the transfer requirements to create transfer orders according to the procedures you would normally use to carry out stock movements in the WM system.
Basically, you have two separate replenishment functions at your disposal.
The first function "Replenishment for Fixed Bins" calculates the replenishment quantities that are required to keep stock at appropriate levels in the warehouse in order to be able to meet the requirements as given by the current stock situation and the entries in the material master.
The second function "Replenishment Planning for Fixed Bins" plans the stock replenishment for the fixed bins in that not only the current stock situation is considered, but also future stock picks are taken into account. Here the system includes pending deliveries with fixed bin picking in the calculation process.

  • Count at bin level and quant level?

what is the difference between cycle count at bin level and quant level?
    Thx

If you use cycle counting inventory at quant level, the system does not set the inventory block for the entire storage bin. It sets the block instead for the quant to be inventoried.
You count only the selected materials, not all materials in the storage bin. If you manage storage bins with mixed storage, these storage bins are accessible for stock movements with other quants.
There can be open transfer orders for all materials that were not flagged for cycle counting in the inventory document. You can also create transfer orders for these materials during the inventory.
The system saves the inventory data at quant level.
In a stock movement, if you move a quant from one storage bin to another, the system deletes the quant in the source storage bin and creates a new quant in the destination storage bin.
Because the system stores the inventory data for the cycle counting inventory at quant level in the quant data, any inventory data that you previously entered is lost in this type of stock transfer.

  • Stock allocation in sales order must be in BIN level

    Hi Experts,
Currently stock allocation in sales order base on plant level, so it gave us wrong message (miss leading) when the customer ask about their order status....., therefore we need the  stock allocation in sales oder after item already in  BIN,
Please help me to knp what are all the setting s to be checked and how to  make it product allocation.
    Thanks

Storage bin (WM) is deterimned in delivery (during picking), not in SO order.
I'm afraid your requirement is not possible in standard system (w/o development).
Storage bin defined where exactly your stock is in your SLoc - why do you need this information in SO, what is the sense of it?

    Hi,
I want to arrive at a report where i want to display the current stock(quantity) of a material at a particular bin.
What are the EWM tables or Function modules or Methods that will give me that.
EWM monitor (/scwm/r_wme_monitor) displays the same value, but i need to write a custom report.

  • Serial Number in Warehouse using Transfer Order at bin level

    Hello All,
I have a requirement to record the serial number in Warehouse. Once the inventory is recorded when creating the TO we want to generate some picking strategy to record the serial number automatically or manually.
In standard SAP at TO there is no facility to record the serial number.
How can I achive this process?
Can someone give me the step by step configuration or enhancement at IM and WM level to achieve this task.
Thank you very much for supporting us.

  • COGS posting in Billing level

    Dear all,
I have a scenario, where during delivery the posting will be
Inventory to goods in Transit and
    during my billing
Goods in transit must be posted in negative value and COGS accounts needs to be updated, But both COGS and GIT must not be shown in the total value of Customer posting.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,
Create a new condition type ZVPRS and make the value of VPRS to flow to ZPRS .
Maintain the condition record with 100% so if VPRS = 100 then ZVPRS = 100.
In V/06 for the condition type put accruals tick mark.
and in pricing procedure put statistical check box and instead of Account key maintain accrual key.
In VKOA for the accrual key maintain the provision account and G/L account.
In VKOA for the G/L mainatin the Goods in transit G/L and in provision account maintain the COGS G/L.
    Inventory  100-
    Goods in transit +
When billing the accrual key will post
    Goods in Transit 100-
    COGS +

It would be of great marketing advantage if SBO supported inventory/stock bin locations.  This has been spoken about for years, and the present warehousing add ons have to overcome the inherent limitations of the SBO file structures and SDK.

  • Serial Numbers in A Storage Bin

    Dear all,
In warehouse management we have serial numbers attached to each item in the warehouse and these items are batch managed. During goods receipt serial numbers are scanned using RF scanner and a transfer order is created for each item. We have a customer table to store the details like storage location and storage bin etc when they are first scanned in. There is no problem here.
If items are transferred from one storage bin to another using a transfer order, system is picking the serial numbers required for the transfer order posting. When corresposing material document is displayed using MB51, there is a tab for serial numbers that are included in this material document.
Is there any way to get all the serial numbers of the items stored at Storage Bin level?
    Thanks and regards
    Raj

    Hi Christian,
    Thanks for the reply.
In the mean time I was talking some more people here regarding this problem. Looks like there is no one obvious place where equipment serial numbers are stored.
Further digging in to SAP I could make out that the serial numbers get distributed to tables SER01 to SER07 based on the activity performed with key in OBJK. I think I will be able to get there.
I appreciate your time and reply.
    Regards

  • Why do my imported files or created titles always go to some random bin and not the one I want?

Everytime I import a file via right clicking > Import. It will always go to some random bin that I don't want it to. Each project it's a different bin. Even if I right click > import on the bin I want it to import into, the file will still go to some pre determined default folder. Usually one of my Footage folders a couple of layers down.
This same thing happens when created titles. I usually have to do a search to find the files. When I used CS2 and 3 I never had this problem.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to not have it go to a pre determined default bin? Or can I change that Bin?
Currently the only way I can get a file to go into the folder I want via importing is when I drag and drop it from my explorer window. I don't use the CS5 media browser because It doesn't have thumbnails.
    Thoughts, solutions?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Switch

    Close.
With this specific bin structure, if I import as you described the file imports to the Reception Bin. I tried the same proceedure with highlighting>righ clicking> and importing,  files to all bin levels even to the root level not inside a bin and it still goes to the reception bin. So for what ever reason for this project I am working on now the Reception Bin has become the default bin.
This holds true for titles as well, they get created in the reception bin.
I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I presort my footage into folders then "import folder" into the footage bin. I thought it might have something to do with the last bin I created or imported became a default bin but in this scenario. The Receception bin is the second to last folder I imported/created.
