ColdFusion 8 Installation Not Working

I installed Coldfusion 8 on my Windows 2003 Enterprise Server
(SP2) with IIS 6.0
The installation ran successfully and i followed the prompts
to configure it with all my IIS websites.
However it won't run the ColdFusion Administrator, it gives a
"Bad Request" 404 error.
I have checked all the IIS settings and they have all the
connectors for coldfusion pointing to the correct wsconfig/1
directory.
The only thing missing was a JRunScripts directory. So I
followed the instructions in the installation guide and I created a
virtual directory and pointed it to the wsconfig/1 folder.
Still nothing works.
Please help.

I found the solution to the problem.
The server did not hava Java installed.
So I downloaded and installed JRE 1.5, and the administrator
automatically worked.

  • MSI installer not working MSI 5.0 Windows 7

Hello I am trying to get MSI installer to work and when I go to install anything that has the Windows Installer Package it opens Notepad in a scrambled message. I have tried numerous avenues to no avail (regedit, copy paste regedit, troubleshooters, sfc/scannow,
command prompt etc.) I tried to choose the file association of MSIexec in System32 and it just opens this
I have tried what is suggested in this forum
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/f699e632-54ba-443b-85df-269a7fd6cf1a/windows-installer-not-working?forum=w7itprogeneral and regedit says:
I have tried this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651#reso1 and didn't work
I have tried changing C :\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /V in regedit and that didn't work
I have searched event viewer and all that's in there is a warning and information of successful installs and uninstalls.
I have tried %windir%\system32\msi.dll version in Command prompt and it says that the system cannot execute the specified program
I am thinking it is just a matter of finding the correct file association that the windows installer can use to install that program but I am unable to find that!
I did a system restore but the only good restore was from earlier today and it still just opens notepad. before I did the restore I went into services and the computer couldn't find the file (windows installer) so I did a restore and now it at least sees
the file and I can start the service.
Can I please get some help fixing this? would uninstalling MSI and re-installing it work? I have been searching forum after forum and nothing has yet worked.
I did a clean install of windows a couple of weeks ago

    Hi ingenuities,
Try importing these reg file under Safe mode.
If you really need this work, I am supposing the only way is to try importing them manually, if any value key is using by process, use process monitor to filter out these processes and shut them down.I monitored values under MSI.package seems like no
    value was using by system.
I exported msi.package and patch to text, it is from a clean Windows 7 intallation。

  • Mac Os X lion installation not working.

os x lion installation not working, when the installation bar comes to 99% a pop up widow tells me that the installation has failed and the file could be damaged or something. But i just downloaded it from appstore. Any ideas?

Here's an update on my problem:
Called Apple Support the other day. They basically told me that they can't help, because this is a problem of misconfiguration and that those kinda things weren't covered. Still the person on the line gave me a hint, I should look for leftovers of previously installed software in /Library/LaunchDaemons/ and /Library/LaunchAgents/ .
Well, that did the trick. In one of the folders I found "net.shrew.iked.plist". This file obvioulsy belongs to the ShrewSoft VPN client. I removed it and the built-in client works again.
I reinstalled ShrewSoft one more time to see if it works without the mentioned plist-file...needless to say it wouldn't connect anymore, but that's alright with me - for now.

I've trying to update my Itunes and it will not work i get the following message: "The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs."  I recently brought my Mac to Ottowa for new battery and this started  after that.  I've also tried to instlall BlackBerry for Desk top and the following Error message: "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.  Contact the software manufacture for assistance."
Right now I'm not able to install anything, I've had the MacBook for almost two years now and still have over 440 gigs free space.  Any help would be appreciated I tried everything with my limited skills,  I live in an isolated are of Canada so don't have access to a store.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Jason

From what you describe, it sounds like you're trying to update iTunes to the latest version, but can't. Whereas the title of your post is talking about having a problem with the 10.6.8 Update, which is not iTunes. So, I'm confused: which of these are you really talking about, iTunes, or the 10.6.8 Update?
If you're really talking about iTunes, then it's possible that something in the download has been corrupted and so it can't be installed. If you live in a remote area of Canada, what sort of Internet service do you have: Dial-Up, ADSL, or Cable? The type and speed of service could very well have caused corruption in the download.
But if that's not the real issue, then it's equally possible that something in your current Snow Leopard installation is corrupted or not in the proper place (like if you move applications or files from where they're expected to be). That could also cause iTunes or anything else to fail during installation.

    Hi Jack,
The link Citrix has on their page for the Flash Player installer is incorrect.  This has been escalated and Citrix will be contacted about this matter.
To download the Plugin Citrix is using, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions, select your Windows OS version and then select 'FP 16 for Firefox - NPAPI'.

  • Mac installer not working 10.7.4 Macbook Pro

My mac installer is not working ever time I try to install something I get an error message saying: this problem all started about 3 months ago when I installed osx lion

I bet the installers are already downloaded. If not download it manually on the apple site. after that try PRAM . Restart Mac, when the screen goes black and press & hold option - command -R -P and release after 3 boot tones. Then after the restart disconnect from the net and make sure the date (year) is still 2011 and install the softwares.

  • Apex Installation not working

Is Apex 4.0 Installation so difficult?!
Tried a basic installation a few times. It is not working. But I can remember a few months ago I had installed 3.2 successfully. I removed the entire schemas and installed a fresh Apex 4.0 installation again.
    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Apex Installation Log file successfully shows the installation is complete
I have configured the embedded PL/SQL gateway
SELECT DBMS_XDB.GETHTTPPORT FROM DUAL - returns 9000 (which is what I want)
I have enabled network services in Oracle 11g
Inspite of all this when I give the http://hostname:port/apex, it comes with internet explorer cannot display webpage.
The troubleshooting side on the Oracle manual is small, and does not contain much information on actual troubleshooting.
    Any help gratefully received

I don't think any Oracle product is certified for Windows Home. Can you upgrade to Windows Professional? I know that I used to be able to find workarounds for earlier versions of Windows and Oracle, but I found that when I tried to install Oracle 11g and Application Express 4.0 on Windows 7 that I needed to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. That could be your total problem. Other than that, the following is a list of things to check.
Do you have enough disk space?
    Is Oracle Text installed?
Are you logged in as an operating system user with administrator privileges when doing the installation?
Did you change your working directory to your apex directory, connect sys as sysdba, and run apexins.sql, apex_epg_config.sql, apexconf.sql, and apexchpwd.sql?
Are there any errors in the installation log or does it say "Thank you for installing Oracle Application Express..." indicating it completed successfully?
Are the apex accounts unlocked and have you granted connect privileges?
Did you try re-starting your computer?
Are all the Oracle services started? You can check from control panel -> system and security -> administrative tools -> services.
Are you connected to the internet?
Are you using internet explorer 7.0 or higher?
Do you get the correct results from the follwing:
    select status from dba_registry where comp_id = 'APEX';
    should show valid
    select dbms_xdb.gethttpport from dual;
should show the port you selected
    select owa_util.get_version from dual;
should show version 10.1.2.0.6 or later
    show parameter job_queue_processes
    should be 1000
    show parameter memory_target
    show parameter shared_pool_size
either memory_target value should not be null or shared_pool_size >= 100 mb

  • Automatic client push installation not working

I created one secondary server and replication with CAS is active. Boundary also configured and enabled automatic client push installation.
Daily i am checking some machines, but agents are not getting installing automatically . But manual client installation is working fine without any issue. Anyone can help on this to find outwhy automatic clients push installation is not running on client
    machines

Which site code is showing, for your secondary or for your primary?
If secondary, then as Joyce pointed out, you need to check ccm.log on the secondary site server needs to be checked because that's where the client will be pushed from.

  • Firefox 29.0.1 installer not working on windows 8.1

I have tried to automatically install the latest firefox but always keeps giving me error. I downloaded the offline installer and tried to run it. I got the Windows prompt to accept the software install, and then...... nothing. The installer never runs. Seems to extract a 100% and then disappears.
I had a similar problem last time and I disabled the windows firewall and defender, uninstalled firefox and ran the offline installer. Worked perfectly fine. Doesn't seem to work this time around.
Does anyone know what seems to be the issue?

    You're welcome.
Sorry, I can't know what the exact problem was. Many things don't start in Windows Safe Mode, like third-party security software and included security tools like Windows Defender. You can use the following guide if you want to troubleshoot the issue. The "How to determine what is causing the problem by performing a clean boot" section is the relevant part.

  • Installation not working from server

I used the CCpackager to prepare the install on Windows. I have the design tools suite (acrobat PS, Ill Indesign + some stuff) I have to make 2 directories, one for acrobat, and one for the rest. Well I didn't have to, the packager did ! And I have to start an exe with parameters on the server in order to install acrobat. So I made a batch file with the parameters . Then I launch the setup from the other directory to install the rest of the suite. The problem is my users are not in an active dir, and they mount a net drive, and they cannot launch the batch because MS does not allow launching a batch as admin from a network location. I even had someone making a script giving the user admin rights on the batch, but it's not working. Can ADOBE make a real setup.exe that launches everything in one time ?
Is it too hard to do ?
We just cannot install that CC, 2 times out of 3 the install stops.
    I'm pissed

  • Coldfusion dev installer wont work - "installer user interface mode not supported..."

i just downloaded the os x version of coldfusion 7 mx
developer edition (for the thrid time making sure the download
wasn't corrupt) and extracted the zip and launched the installer by
double-clicking it. the install screen pops up where it lets you
choose what language and i press ok. almost instantly i get an
error message to pop up that says... "Installer user interface mode
not supported. Unable to load and to prepare the installer in GUI
    mode."
    umm... what?!
does anyone have any idea what's going on and why the
    installer is misbehaving?! thanks!
    : : michael

and the answer for others stuck on this...
the problems is an installanywhere bug where if the anything
in the directory path contains special characters like "!" or "#" ,
it causes problems with the install. in my case, the directory path
had a "!" in it... hope this helps someone else out!

  • Camera Raw 6.7 installation not working with Photoshop CS5.1

I have been trying to upgrade Camera Raw to 6.7 on my windows 7(32) machine running  CS5.1.
It will not update via Help>Update (indicates download problem) or manually using the downloaded file and AdobePatchInstaller.exe (indicates "an error installing the update")
I have tried Adobe support adviser but this was of little help.
Also tried running Photoshop as Administrator.
    Can anyone help?

I don't know why your Help - Updates feature shouldn't be working; it worked for me, and it would disturb me if it didn't work, but to jump to the solution to your issue, you should be able to install the update manually by carefully following the instructions that go with the download you can find here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5373
Make sure you unzip the contents of the file to a folder on your computer before running the installer.
