ColdFusion 8 Update for Dreamweaver extension

I wanted to have CF8 help/ tags for dreamweaver and i
downloaded this file from adobe: CF801-Tags-for-DW.mxp
When I tried to install it with macromedia extension manager
it is throwing this warning on my face,
"The extension package is invalid. The extension will not be
installed."
I am using Win Box - XP Professional Version 2002 service
pack 2
DW 8.02
Could anyone help me in this please?

I just tried, and had no issue installing this extension. Try
downloading with another browser. If you still have an issue try
turning off any virus checker during the download.
I checked the installed code and it shows that it should be
able to install into Dreamweaver MX2004 or later. However, the file
name of the extension includes DW9 which is Dreamweaver CS3. What
version of Dreamweaver are you using?

You are quite right. The presentation in the
ColdFusion
8 Update for HomeSite+ sends you round and round in circles.
The booktree file for CF8 is nowhere to be found. The download
file, cf8_tags_for_hs.zip, does not have it.
In fact, when you extract the zips and get down to the help
directory, the page \Help\ColdFusion 8\000_titl.htm tells you:
"To get ColdFusion 8 Help Book, please go to ColdFusion 8
LiveDocs." [

Yet the link gives you no information about the help book.

Will there be an update for DigitalPersona Extension 5.0.0.3790 to provide compatibility for FF4?

When downloading Firefox 4.0, DigitalPersona Personal 4.11.3805 with DigitalPersona Extension 5.0.0.3790 (from Mozilla Firefox Add-Ons) is incompatible. Fingerprint swipes only open the DPP application's Home Page. I had to uninstall FF 4 and re-install FF 3.6.16 in order to utilize fingerprint logon recognition.
DigitalPersona will no longer support DigitalPersona Personal as is evidenced by the following email I received from [email protected]:

releases for DigitalPersona Personal in the future. We are also sorry to inform you there will be no updates for

Important Updates for Illustrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop - Failure to Install

I have been trying to update my Illsutrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop.
I have tried about five time using different methods.
Each time I received the following error message:
AI CS6 Creative Cloud Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Extension Manager CS6
Update Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I need some giudance in order to have the updates installed.

Whilst this may prove to be the only way to install the updates, it reads as though it only takes a few minutes to complete but as others have reported it's a real pain to have to go all through a clean up and then full installation particularly if you have a number of plugins to re-install / activate! Not the best solution and I would have hoped Adobe could have come up with a better solution. As it is I will not be going through the update and will set the application manager to manual rather than have the icon constantly on displayed in the taskbar expecting to update what doesn't work.

Older updates for Dreamweaver Cloud Subscription

I recently had a hard drive crahs and decativated my software on that bad drive. On my replacement drive I have reloaded my subscription products and am having several issues. The most annoying is the ftp in dreamweaver is not working. Files start to transfer then just stop. It takes a long while before I can even cancel a transfer as the software seems to be processing something.
I know there was an update that dealt with this. My issue is the later updates removed expanded tables. I work with html email almost exclusively and I live and breath by extended tables. Is there a resource to get the earlier update that correct these ftp issues but still maintains my expanded table option for a cloud subscription? I currently am running the defualt version 12.0 build 5808 on a windows 7 system.

Spoke with Adobe staff - apparently this is a known issue with no fix in place. Hopefully they can get me in touch with someone who can update my credit card info so I don't get locked out of my applications as I have an art exhibit I'm preparing for. I'll keep the forum posted on status.

Installing the Dreamweaver Extension

We are using the "OracleAS Portal Installation Guide for Dreamweaver Extension"
document that has a creation date of December 02, 2003. In this document,
under the "Installing the web service", step 2, it states that we should copy
the portalTemplate.ear file to the OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home directory. We do not
seem to have this path, the closest thing that I have is
/iAS/asdv1/iAS/j2ee/OC4J_Portal. I can then create a home directory under
OC4J_Portal. Is this the correct place to put this file? Step 3 in this same
document mentions using the java -jar command. In this step I am not sure how
to find out the <oc4j_host> and the <oc4j_ormi_port>. Can this be found in
OEM? If so, where?

the install instructions you mentioned are about installing it int a stand alone OC4J instance, not an iAS container.
to install the extension into an ias container, please follow regular EAR deployment instructions that come with the OC4J containers. you would use EM to deploy the EAR file .
since this is not a production product, we suggest you deploy it to a separate OC4J and not to your production instance.

Security Update for Flash Video

The Security Update for Dreamweaver CS3 from downloads
APSB08-01.zip does not have the correct date. The Security Bulletin
says to verify the creation date of the file Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3\configuration\Templates\Video_Player. The date should be
January 15, 2008 according to the Bulletin.
I have gone through the procedure three times and still end
up with the wrong date. Is the bulletin wrong? Would a January 9,
2008 date be correct? If not, I desperately need help to resolve
this problem.

I've noticed this too. Just had to do a fresh install of
Vista, after installing DW CS3 I downloaded the Flash player
security update by following

When extracted, the files contained within APSB08-01.zip have
a date of January 1, 2008; however the text indicates the date of
extracted files should be January 15, 2008.
Would it not make more sense for this update to simply be
included as other updates within the Adobe Updater?
As the poster above me, Secunia is also reporting these files
as insecure even after downloaded from the above links and
applied.

@SolaCrazyDog: Assuming you're referring to CS6 and not '6', why dont you let Adobe Application Manager handle the updates for you?

I can't find the ColdFusion 10 tags extension for Dreamweaver CS6 on Adobe's update website. I replaced my computer and would like to install them on my new computer. Do they still exist? If so, where do I go to download them?
