Coldfusion Builder 3 and Mylyn

I really like Mylyn. Adding the pluggin from Mylyn - http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/e3.4 was no problem in CF Builder Beta 1 + 2. But now in Beta 3 (based on eclispe 3.5) I get an error:
"Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Mylyn Bridge: Java Development 3.3.2.v20100222-0100-e3x"
which is a bit strange. Tried a cpouple of hours to solve it, but no success.
Anbyody experience same or has successfully integrated Mylyn in CF Builder beta 3?

ColdFusion Builder 2 and WebDav

I maintain a website that is hosted by a University. Files are synced from my local machine to their server using WebDav. For the previous 5 years I have used Dreamweaver which supports synching to a remote site via WebDav in the site definitions. I have recently begun using CFBuilder, however, which appears to only support synchronization via SFTP or FTP. My question is 2 part:
1. Is there a plugin for CFBuilder / Eclipse that will give me the option of synchronizing via WebDav
2. If there is no plugin what other option would be *Easy*? I have Transmit so I suppose I could use it if that is really the best option.
Server is running CF9 and I am on an iMac running CFBuilder 2 on Snow Leopard.

Coldfusion Builder 3 Global Search

I downloaded and installed Coldfusion Builder 2 and liked it. I decided to purchase it and found that Coldfusion Builder 3 had been released. I purchased Coldfusion Builder 3 after my trial had expired. I then uninstalled 2 and installed 3. I attempted to register my product but nothing shows that it was successful or unsuccessful and my license key does not show up under Previous Serial number in Help->License Adobe Coldfusion Builder.
I am unable to do a global search of my project and the syntax highlighting no longer works in the cfquery tags as well as the built in server does not start. It is almost like the application thinks I am still using an unlicensed version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times as well as rebuilt my workspaces from scratch and yet none of this has fixed the issues. I am on a Windows 7 enterprise 64 bit machine.

Multiple instances of ColdFusion Builder on the same system?

Hi Folks,
Four of us work remotely in my company. It is not uncommon for us to all remote desktop into a system reserved for our use and three of us be using CFEclipse at the same time. We recently installed ColdFusion Builder on this system and found that it would only allow one instance of ColdFusion Builder to run. When attempting to start a second instance CFBuilder would show the flash screen and then nothing more.
Is anyone aware of workarounds or other changes that will enable us to run multiple instances of CFBuilder on the same system?

Will look into this issue.
But for now as a workaround, whenever you want to launch CF Builder if there is .bolt file please delete the .bolt it from
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe ColdFusion Builder\ . And you will be able to launch it even while other has kept it open.

Where do I download ColdFusion Builder 2?

I have several licenses for ColdFusion Builder 1 and I also have upgrade licenses for ColdFusion Builder 2. I have a new team member who needs to download ColdFusion Builder 2 to make use of this license. Now that ColdFusion Builder 3 is release, all of the downloads links I have been able to find point to the new version. Where can I find a download link for the previous version for which I have a valid license? Surely there is an archive download somewhere, but I cannot find it.

New Platform Support for ColdFusion 10 and ColdFusion Builder 2.0.1: Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Serv

Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Windows 2012 server are now supported platforms for ColdFusion 10. The new Windows installers are available for download to all retail and licensing customers as well on the trials download page.
The ColdFusion Builder 2.0.1 installers have also been updated to support Windows 8. The existing MAC OS X installer for ColdFusion Builder 2.0.1 has also been certified to now support MAC OS X 10.8.

How to show cfm, html, js, css, and browser tab in coldfusion builder 3?

On Coldfusion Builder 2, I see these tabs are available when I create a new page, but not on Coldfusion Builder 3.
What should I do to show them on CFB 3?

Builder 3 does not seem to offer those sub-tabs in its toolbar, but if you open each of those kinds of files, you’ll find that the top toolbar (where they appeared) shows many of the same icons for each of those type of files as was previously listed in those sub-tabs.
I realize that isn’t as helpful if you are opening a single CFM or HTML file which happens to have also HTML, CSS, and JS code in it. You won’t see the icons for that other kind of code, even when you move to such code.
FWIW, note that CFB 1 and 2 had previously relied upon an underlying 3rd party tool called Aptana, for most such HTML, CSS, and JS-specific functionality. In CFB3 that product was dropped and the CFB team tried to recreate much of its functionality. This (the tabs for other code within a single file extension) may be something they didn’t think was used often, or maybe there was a challenge in doing so.
Even so, do note also that there is still support for CSS and JS (and HTML) within a CFM page, in terms of CFB’s features like code completion, code assist, outline view, etc.
Still, I realize that some of the “wrap”-oriented tools in that old toolbar aren’t accessible any other way, so you may want to file a feature request (or bug report, however you may want to cast it) at bugbase.adobe.com.

Coldfusion Builder beta 3 and Subclipse

Has anyone experienced problems with their working copy getting corrupted? The combination of coldfusion builder and subclipse plugins for my Eclipse 3.5.1 keeps causing me to have checksum and other errors when trying to update or commit. Am I the only one with these issues or are other having them, too?

New Coldfusion Server Setup in Flashbuilder and Coldfusion Builder not working

I have not found the combination for adding a new Coldfusion Server in Flash Builder 4.7 or Coldfusion Builder 2.01 with Coldfusion 10. I am running windows 7 64bit. on IIS 7. Coldfusion 10 is running fine.
All was well with Coldfusion 9 Flash Builder 4.6 and Coldfusion Builder 2.0.
Local Server Settings for CF9 were
Server Home C:\Coldfusion9
Document Root C:\inetpub\wwwroot
Version: 9.0.x
Now as soon as I put in C:\Coldfusion10 or C:\Coldfusion10\cfusion I get an error "Server home is not valid".
Any hints on getting this going.

Not necessarily. As soon as you select the "cfusion" location, it would automatically pick the wwwroot location.

Dreamweaver has frontend design tool and have SQL builder to access database server.
I just wonder if I have Dreamweaver then I do not need Coldfusion Builder for server side.

Coldfusion Builder and Flash Builder 4 Premium

I am not sure should this question go in Flex forum or ColdFusion.
I am going to buy the ColdFusion builder which come with the Flash Builder 4 Standard. And I need to have Flash Builder 4 Premium. So should i buy the upgrade which is US$499 or should i but the full Flash Builder 4 Premuim for US$699?

What is the difference between Coldfusion 9 and Coldfusion Builder?

ColdFusion 9 is a web application server. It gets installed on the same machine as a web server, typically, and will generate output when someone requests a URL that corresponds to a CF script in their browser. ColdFusion 9 is necessary to run CF programs.
ColdFusion Builder is a development environment for ColdFusion programmers. It allows programmers to write and debug the scripts you put on a CF server. While it's very helpful, it's not required to write CF programs. It also doesn't run CF programs - you need ColdFusion for that.

ColdFusion Builder 3

I was editing a JS file wanted to write a try catch. I started writing the catch part first. Then the try part. But, added the parentheses. I don't know what I was thinking. But, it locked up ColdFusion Builder 3 to the point that I had to restart my VM of Windows 2008 R2 64-bit.

The internal html viewer is not working in coldfusion builder 2.

It is so frustrating how hard this is. I finished setting up coldfusion and coldfusion builder 2 with an apache local webserver and was hoping to make use of the internal html viewer but it won't come on! All I see is a blank grey page with no content. After creeping around the forums for a while it seemed that the simplest solution was to use the internal coldfusion server so I uninstalled everything and did just that, reverting my administrator page to http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm (working and launchable from the IDE), placing my webroot at C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot and with all the folders in their right place. The server is running ok and when I launch the run as "coldfusion administrator" option to run my index file, it succesfully opens the external browser and displays the page.
I have the same setup on my desktop at home, the same files, installation, everything! and it works but not on my laptop. I followed Ben Forta's instructions to a T and yet I still am not getting the html preview. I even tried to hard code the absolute url in the html preview settings and still nothing but that annoying grey.
Is this a bug? There doesn't seem to be anything about it in the bug reports. It is quite infuriating how something that seems so miniscule could be such an annoyance. I have already gotten quite used to the preview pages and coldfusion and I would prefer to code that way rather than making use of dreamweaver which I feel I am being forced to use, but at least it's consistent.
Please if anyone could provide some answers and help I would really appreciate it! I have only so much hair left!

Perhaps others may recognize and resolve this for you. I and others here often can and do offer quick solutions to many problems. And I can appreciate that it’s reasonable to think that something so simple should just work. But in this case I think are simply too many variables that could explain why things are not working for you. How does one get ColdFusion Builder.

I understand that if one buys ColdFusion builder, one gets Flash Builder Standard included. If one buys Flash Builder Premium one gets a license for ColdFusion Builder included.
Well, I am currently installing Creative Suite 5 Web Premium, which includes Adobe Flash Builder (level unknown) as well as Dreamweaver, fireworks, flash pro, photoshop, ect. But not ColdFusion Builder. Seems to be an odd item to be left out of that list?

The way I understand it, CF Builder comes with Flash Builder Premium and CS5 premium includes Flash Builder Standard, which does not come with CF Builder.
A while ago, my sister bought me Flex Builder 3 as a gift. It did not come with data visualization (charts), which I wanted. So I called Adobe, explained the issue, and they let me get the charts and pay the difference.
So it might be worth your while to make a phone call to Adobe sales and ask if you can pay the difference between FB Standard and FB Premium, so you can get CF Builder.
