Coldfusion Index Page issue

Hi All,
I am new to Coldfusion. I have just migrated to Coldfusion,
from Oracle about 2 months back. Currently in the process of
enhancing an application on Coldfusion & Oracle.
The issue i am facing is rather strange. The Index.html and
MainContent.html, page in my applications main page contain links
to 5 other applications (All part of this one application).
For Eg:
Index.html
Appl1
App2
App3
App4
App5
MainContent.html
Appl1
App2
App3
App4
App5
However, on the UAT environment, though the Index and
Maincontent, contained the same contents, they did not display them
all. Strangely on accesing the application, the main page just
shows up as ....
App1
App3
App4
Strange .. but thats exactly what's happenning! Could anyone
let me know, if this is a configuration issue or something, that i
can reset. All the rest remain the same, in both Dev and UAT. I
have my UAT beginninig tomorrow, thus, in frantic need of
suggestions.
Thanks and Regards,
Jay

In weblogic 10.3.6, when you deploy using console, you have to click on start button which appears in Deployments page.
Your weblogic.xml file should be as below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

  • Typing in url for my company website sends it to https index page in Firefox, but not IE or Chrome, and the behavoir is not wanted

After upgrading Firefox to version 14.0.1 i noticed when i typed in my company's website address that firefox went to the https:// version of the site when it never did that before.
Example, if you type in amazon.com in the URL bar, you briefly see that firefox turns the url to https://www.amazon.com before being auto directed to the normal www.amazon.com site.
My website did not have a secure index page and people were getting a server generated message until I found this issue out.
Is there a setting in Firefox to prevent the URL bar from selecting a secure connection first? This behavior does not occur in the most recent versions of I.E. or Chrome browsers on a desktop.
Any help would be greatly apprecaited

I've now been forced to tell my users NOT to use FF because of it's BUG.

  • Muse created index page not available on BC

I'm creating a website on Muse and have published it as a temporary file to BC.  All pages, files, images, etc. are there except for my index page! I have published and re-published multiple times and still can't find it on my page list.  Another strange thing is there are no site management features, (i.e., modules, templates, etc) to use on my admin panel.  I would really appreciate any help for the community.
    Thank you!

I'm not sure why you would think I don't have access to that. I'm an Adobe Cloud member and as such I can process five websites through BC.  Anyway, I've already used the BC admin panel for a couple of sites I was fooling around with in order to get the hang of things.  The other two, as the one I'm writing about, were also created in Muse and published as temporary sites on BC. This is the site address: http://sassanoassociates.businesscatalyst.com/
Here is the admin panel link:  http://sassanoassociates.businesscatalyst.com/AdminConsoleXT/#dashboard
I intend on publishing the site through BC as I have a right to do.
As for my questions, there are three issues now with this one site.
    1. The index (home) page is not publishing from Muse to BC - the others are.
    2. There is no way to access the site management elements such as 'content holders' and 'module templates'.
    3. Having problem with the  'Services' page.  It was working ok until I added some html blocks (in Muse).
I'm very frustrated as I have attempted to find answers to these problems to no avail.  I realize that I am probably not doing something or should have done something in order to make this work, however, I'm not new at designing sites and it's very difficult when working with a new platform to not be able to find answers.
I have committed to publishing this site within a week for my client. I would really appreciate some guidence with this situation as quickly as possible.
I'm pasting a copy of one of the other sites which I created exactly the same way and has all the management elements and features right there.  I need my admin panel for the site in question to look like that!!
My account email is [email protected]
    Thanks.

  • Having trouble with blank "index" page

I've published my site to a folder and transfered it succefully to my webhost. The only problem is that it shows up blank. I think because the index.html is blank when I open it on my harddrive to see the contents. I don't know html well enough to input the correct code to redirect from the webaddress people type in to the aboutme page I want them to see first.
I thought the program iWeb would write the index for me.
Any thoughts/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same issue. Published to folder and then to my yahoo hosting and the index page does not instantly redirect to the home page as expected?
On a mac it works just fine but PC browser shows blank page. Want this to be universal web access of course. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and if you wonder through the site there is nudity so be warned.
http://garryirvine.com = fine on mac not on PC browser(blank)
http://garryirvine.com/index.html worls on both. (redirects to home page from iweb project as expected [same for http://garryirvine.com/Home.html)
The index page for me is not blank on my server it has the following(without "'s):
    "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title></title><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= Home.html" /></head><body></body></html>"

  • Help with .swf Load on Index Page

    Hello,
My website has a flash component on the index page.
I would like to ask for some help regarding the initial load of the .swf file.
What is happening is when one first sees the homepage, the area where the .sfw file is located is just a large white blank area until the flash become active.
Is there a way to have an image from the start, then load the larger flash animation so the white blank spot does not appear?
I ask my html coders if this could be done through html with an image say in the background and was told it is not possible.
Here is the site - www.metroplexmultimedia.com
    Thanks for your help!

A follow-up on the same issue.
I am still having some issues with an swf file on the index page.  Any more help would be appreciated.
What I would like is two-fold:
    1) The viewer to see the first screen of the .swf as soon as possible
    2) The four screens in the .swf to scroll to the next screen automatically every 5 seconds or so.  (right now they only change when you hover over a button)
Is it is possible to program the swf file to auto scroll through the four slides, retain the button functionality and keep the Flash timeline short?
Maybe CSS might be a better appraoch for this functionality?
If I could ask, what do you think?
Is it possible to do this in Flash or is CSS really the only way?
    Thanks,

  • Curious behavior of the index page

I use iWeb to maintain a site composed of an index page and many other pages. Whenever I make a change to any of the other pages and republish, I have to go back and republish the index page by itself, otherwise it will not load on any browser. This no big deal, as long as this continues to work, but I worry that something worst may happen, like never reload.!
Has someone run into this small issue and perhaps has a suggestion to resolve it? Thanks.

I also did this for my webhosting provider, not knowing I could keep it to Welcome. I should've thought of coming here, but I was assuming my errors were because it was Index, not index, so I went in with a text editor and changed all instances of Index with find and replace (names of the programs were changed to reflect it as well). Then I came here, so I edited the Index to Welcome in the iWeb interface, then saved it to the same folder after changing the old folder names to Welcome for an overwrite. It put the new stuff in a new folder of the same name in the website folder. Im using classicFTP. I hadn't checked to see that the folder had been placed inside the old folder, and saw it after I started uploading, when it was too late. So, I uploaded again, this time the inner folder only. My website hasn't changed. Sorry, I know just enough about script to be dangerous to my programs. Can anyone give me a gentle nudge or something in the right direction? I also tried using the question mark but it just gave me a page not found error.

  • 301 redirects and iWeb index page

Our site has grown and we will be changing our domain name and hosting co. (We are keeping the old domain active for a while at MME before we change domain name and hosting) I will need to redirect traffic for a while so as not to lose those who have just bookmarked us. Will just redirecting on the index page that iWeb creates (post publish) do that without creating a mess of our page rankings at Google? Currently we are in the top 15 responses for our search terms. Or should i create some other type of redirect? 301? (via cname or htaccess) will that ding me at google? Thanks- try to keep it as simple as possible - I don't code - I experiment and Apple has made it easy.

    What I would do is purchase the hosting and see if you can have more than one add-on domain. Most web hosts let you do this on one account so it doesn't cost you any more money. You are doing this because you will need a .htaccess file to set up your 301 redirects properly. This is what you should do;
    1) Register your new domain and publish your site to it.
    2) Create a webmaster tools account for BOTH your old and new domain name.
    3) Create a 301 redirect for each individual page to the new corresponding page on your new domain. This can be done with a few lines in your .htaccess file. The file should be in your root folder of your OLD domain. Put this on your .htaccess file (NOTE: This assumes you will have the exact same website structure on the new domain);
    RewriteEngine ON
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://mynewdomain.com/$1 \[R=301,L\]
    OPTIONAL: Use Google's canonical tag on each one of your pages to avoid any issues with duplicate content. Link the old page to it's new corresponding page. This is optional but recommended if you can;
    <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.newdomain.com/newpage.html" />
    4) Login to your Webmaster Tools account and select your OLD domain. Then select 'Site Configuration' and then 'change of address'. Follow the steps provided (which are basically what I told you above). Step 4 in there is the important one.
    5) Submit a sitemap for your new website. This will make sure you know when Google has indexed your new website.
    6) Important: Even though you have done everything properly there is a chance your rankings will change. To help prevent this, update as many third party links as you can to your new site. This won't be possible for all links since you won't have control over them but you should try contacting the website owners who have linked to you to update their links. You should also try getting new links to your new domain.
You can find all the sites you have linked to you by logging into your webmaster tools account and clicking your OLD domain. Then go to 'Your site on the web' and then to 'Links to your site'.
Nothing will be instant here, it will take a few days for everything to update but the above is the way Google recommends you do it.

  • Anchors on index page in Muse 2014 freeze scrolling once clicked.

    Hi everyone,
On my index page I have two anchor points with arrows that link to those anchors. Once clicked, they take me to the right spot (and smoothly), but once the page has scrolled to the anchor point, I am no longer able to scroll up or down. I do not encounter this problem on other pages of my site.
    My index page: http://www.mdusault.com/
Try clicking on the red arrow. It takes you down nicely, but then doesn't allow you to scroll anymore.
On another page (not index page): Fading Lives
Click on "More Info", it takes you down and still allows you to scroll afterwards.
Any help? Is there a way to fix this issue?
    Thanks for your help,

  • Rediect particular URLs to index page

    Hi,
From Apache1.3, I have to redirect all the URLs coming from port http://mydomain.com:9001/servlet/* to a index page (index.html).
I tried giving "Redirect" directive under mod_alias
    Redirect /servlet http://mydomain.com:9001/index.html
but it is looking for http://mydomain.com:9001/index.html/* and is not redirecting it to the file. How can I do this.

    Allie,
Can you tell me how you figured out how to have one index page link to a 2nd index page like the california example you described?
I am trying to do exactly that but layout is not happening the way I would like so i think I am doing something wrong
    Thanks

  • How to remove the "Index Page" option from the Router in Network Magic Pro 5.5.9195

I find it ironic and I can click on my router in the Map view of network magic, and the last option is "Index Page".  This immediately loads my router setup in a browser window. It completely bypasses the router login and password.  I do not want anyone to be able to start my PC, open Network Magic, and click this option and have access to my router.  This is stupid.  How do you turn this option off, remove it, or hide it?
Yes, I know, I could put a password on my PC, but I share it, with other family members, and at this time I don't have user accounts setup for them.
I am looking for a solution in Network Magic, not my OS.
    Thanks,
    Brian

Anything you do without submitting to form has to be done on the client side (ususally by JavaScript) using data which has been send already from the server.
With JavaScript you can do quite a bit. You can download tables which don't necessarilly appear on the screen, loading them into JavaScript arrays by dynamically generating javascript. Then you can pick up events like drop-box selection and use these tables to chose what you do next (e.g. preloading other fields, setting drop box content etc.).
Or, you can cause forms to be submitted when actions like a selection happen without the user clicking a button. It's generally a matter of how much data you'd need to transmit.
Another posibility is to use a Java applet, which can generate requests to the server and handle the results as it chooses. That are a number of problems with that but occasionally it's the best solution.
What you can't do is to handle user input inside a JSP. The JSP has come and gone before the user even gets to see your form.

    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
    # will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
    # Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
    # same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
    # least PidFile.
    ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
    # Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
    # for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
    # Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
    # mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
    # other reason.
    # Mutex default:/run/httpd
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
    #Listen 12.34.56.78:80
    Listen 80
