*I have a problem here :s,, we've just installed the portal, everything was ok so, but we have a problem when we try to access to a room.*
*When we acces to a room on the left panel (just bellow the pages seccion ) me got the following errors:*

Thanks, That work fine, but i still can't see the calendar iView. I got the following error message:

Collaboration Rooms problem/info - plz urgent

dear friends,
I am working on EP developement and now i am working on Collaboration rooms.
I want some info as for below:
I am using EP 6.0 with SP2
1. Where exactly the user's information will be stored in EP server?
2. I understand the purpose of SAP R/3 System in UM Configuration, but what is the purpose of LDAP Server?
3. Is LDAP Server configuation is required to work on Collaboration Rooms?
4. Is it possible to work with Collaboration Rooms without LDAP Server/configuration?
Please do reply anybody with positive answers

I don't know exactly what you mean. If no specific user backend store is defined, the users created are stored within the database for the portal server.

There is no need to have a SAP R/3 in the background for UM, you could also just have a LDAP server where the users of the company are stored in. This LDAP you can use for UserManagement.

A simple No.

From the last answer a simple Yes follows.
CollabRooms do not need any specific User Backend Store; the UserManagement works as in the rest of the portal on the UME, which again is bound to an LDAP - or not.

I installed Collaborator on a Windows 2000 machine running JDK1.2.2,
Weblogic 5.1 SP8. I try to run the "verifier" example to make sure
the installation is OK. When I try to launch the C-hub, it failed
with the following message:

Major collaboration of problems.

First and foremost, I would appreciate any help at all because its really quite important?.

I Have a Creative Zen Touch 20gig it has a few problems, while I never have trouble putting music on, or listening to the music?.. when it comes to the Nomad Explorer software nearly everything is wrong.

I cannot delete data from the data library, which I think may be over loaded as I missed the small print which said ?Do not use the Creative Zen touch mainly as a data storage medium as it was not designed for this? in the manual.

In addition to this I cannot copy data from It on to any of my computers, it is ?stuck there?, I would format it but you see there is one data file on the data library which I cannot afford to loose, as it is the last copy I have in existence.

When the data library is accessed the ?loading? arrows turn black on the Zen touches screen, and then stay that way, stuck. I then cannot exit the nomad explorer, shut down my computer, or see songs in the music library (unless I disconnect manually or reset).

I am able to copy music to the music library as many times as I want, but only one load off, if I go for a second load an error message appears which says ?Unable to read from library? or something to that effect. I then have to disconnect my Zen touch then re-connect it in order to get more music from it.

I have downloaded and installed, all updates to drivers and jukebox, and firmware that are available (not media source I don?t use it). And these have not helped. I am placing my last hopes in the supposed ?External hard dri've- driver for XP? that I have read about on another thread here (hopefully coming this month), as accessing the library via a different medium may help.

I blame the nomad software , as it only causes the problems when I open it. Is there another way to access the data libraries? (or is the only other way to take a screw driver to it)

Any help would be great, thank you for reading?.

Collaboration Portlet Problem

We had installed Plumtree Portal 5.0 and Collab Server 3.0 and it was all working. After upgrading the portal to 5.02 all the collab portlets are broken. I'm guessing some config settings were wiped out in the upgrade. Can someone point me in the direction where should I be looking to fix this? Many thanks.

Is there a way to have a wiki on osx server where users can be created at first logon? (for a semi-public wiki)

I am installing an osx server that will be primarly used as a wiki for collaboration.
Problem: there will be many users from various organisations -> creating users manually on the server is not an option.
Is there a way to have a page/something where users will login and the account will be created at first logon? (after being approved if possible).
I'd want my users to go to the wiki and do something like click a "new user" or "create account" button then fill a form. The account in th directory would be then auto magically created.
Does this feature already exist for osx server with the built-in wiki?

Just generate the TTS on a separate slide and then assign the audio file created in the LIbrary to whatever object you need.

Problem with collaboration rooms

Hi all,
I have a prolem in collaboration rooms, After i create a room, i will get a link to enter the room. when i click on the link, i am able to enter the room but with an error saying
"No connection to groupware server (No logon data found for system lotussystem). Refresh this screen or contact your system administrator if the problem persists"
Can anyone please help me why the error is??? and also what should be done for this.

Users should be mapped to appropriate systems through a user name and password.
In your case navigate to USer Management and enter an appropriate Username and password for the system lotussystem through the User mapping tab. The User name and password would be used to logon to the system.
This should solve the problem.

Problem with Collaborator Workbench

Hi everyone, i have a problem with Demantra's Collaborator Workbench, after I'm creating a new data model. When I try to log in to collaborator to see my new levels that I've created, i am welcomed with the login error " Invalid user name or password".
I've created a new user with full permission level, but it was in vain.
What should I do?

Problem with Collaboration and Portal accessed via multiple URLs

Here is the scenario. We have the portal installed that can be accessed from an external domain: portal.company.com. We recently upgraded to WCI 10gR3 and in the process we added an internal server that uses an OAM webgate which handles Integrated Windows Authentication. The URL for out internal access is portal.company.int. The problem comes when we try to access collaboration folders. From our internal URL when we click on a folder in Collab Documents the loading... text come sup and that's it. No other activity in the browser or in PTSpy. If we use the external URL there is no issue.
Anyone have any ideas on how we can get around this or what the cause could be?

try to play with the collaboration server url (for the Collaboration Remote Server )
http://yourserver.com:11930/collab/
Enter the external url here, or better the name of the machine, something like
http://<machinename><yourdomain>:11930/collab/
See if works.

Problem to open collaboration launch pad

Hi,
I'm trying activate an instant messaging service in my portal.
I've activated the collaboration launch pad, but when I click on the link I get the following error:
"An exception occurred during the program execution. Below you will find technical information pertaining to this exception that you might want to forward to your system administrator.
Exception Class -> class com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException
Exception Message -> Cannot get an instance of the presence state service"
Which can the problem be? I use this version in my portal:
6.0.2.39.0.Enterprise_Portal_Support_Package_2
6.0.2.39.0.ContentManagement_Collaboration

Document Checkout Problem in collaboration sever

At some system when user check out a document (ms word) using webEdit option of collaboration server for editing the document opens as blank & when you save the same one it get saved a blank. This is happening at some system not on all system.
I am just wandering why is this? , is there any specific setting or document application version is need at client side for editing already checked in document at collaboration server.
Please assist me. Your help will be appreciated.

I don't have a answer for the blank pages. However, we encountered the "Read Only" problem which occured because we were running collabserver 4.0 on a older version of the portal 5.0.2. Upgrading the protal to 5.0.4 fixed the problem. The blank page problem might also be related.

Problem with Collaboration maintenance IView

I need a help or suggestion in Collaboration maintenance Iview requirement.
Problem:
When i am creating a room i am giving long description. But when i open this room in the room directory The description expands with a horizontal bar. But i would like to split this description into two to three rows.
like description.setWrapping(true);
I am downloaded the room maintenance par file. and i identified the jar file which consists of the source code , but its depending on so many objects.
Any alternative or help in the above problem.

this lets me assume that the generated file is fine. and that IE doesnt know how to open it, and that FF thinks it knows how to open it, but opens it "differently".

Syncronization problems with Who is Who ivew

after changing user data (telephone,etc...) in LDAP (Microsfot ADS), it takes a long time After I see the data in Who is Who ivew.
I have create a index (ume index) as described SAP Documentacion.
Any body knows how can I solve this problem¿?¿
I would like syncronization between LDAP data and iview Who is who each 15 minutes iexample.

Hi Noemi,
the Who-is-Who iView uses TREX search functionality. Basically, TREX first crawls all specified files and stores the (indexed) results in the data base. The Who-is-Who iView works on the indexed data stored in database. To synchronize you LDAP and Who is WHo iView you have to re-index the data. You can do this manually in the Index Administration (System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Index Administration).
To change the period of time between index cycles you can define a schedule for your index. But be aware reindexing is pretty resource consuming.
