Collaboration services

Hello!
I would like to launch some collaboration´s link commands inside a page.
I have two iviews; one is the Room Member List, and the other one is where the Link command service of the Room Member List has to be shown(for example email editor iview).How can I do this?
Help Please!

Hi Unai,
you will have to implement both iViews by yourself, as both iViews need EPCF to work on one page. Whereas the standard just opens new popup windows/browser, which is technically more uncritical (and in my eyes the better UI, as you open a window for a temporary task, for example writing an email to someone).
Hope it helps

  • Collaboration Services: How does specify a specific language to use?

    Does anyone know how to administer the Leopard server in English, but have the collaboration services (wiki, blog, calendar, etc) run under another language, perhaps even specific to the User and/or Group?
    (formerly posted in the wrong forum)

    I just stumbled upon the solution.
    Checking the collaborative services pages (wiki, blog, etc.) on an English system will show the pages in English. If you use a computer with another system language, that the pages render according to the primary system language. So if you're using a Japanese system, Safari will bring up the collaborative services in Japanese.

  • Document or video tutorial for setting LiveCycle Collaboration Service in Flash Professional CS5

    Hello,
    I want to use Adobe LiveCycle Collaboration Service for my company, but the problem is, I work upon Flash Professional and i dont have grip towards Flex, the documentation that is provided with sdk is of Flex,
    so, I want 2 types of help,
    1) If i want to setup LiveCycle Collaboration Service , will i get the document for that,
    If it is not available please provide me help for customizing skin of toolbar in SharedWhiteboard of LCCS,
    Thanks,
    Rajiv

    (another potential double-post, don't know why my emails to the forum are being ignored...)
    Hi Rajiv
    For Flash-only projects, check out the 3 sample applications which start
    with "Flash" - FlashUserList, FlashWebCamExample, and FlashSimpleChat. These
    should get you up and running with CS5.
    Unfortunately, if you're not using Flex, you'll find that the
    SharedWhiteBoard isn't going to work - it's completely Flex based. You could
    use the SharedWhiteBoardModel and write your own, but unfortunately
    whiteboards are pretty complicated and require quite a bit of work (this is
    why we didn't port it from Flex to Flash - no one has asked for it until
    now, and it's a ton of work).
      hope that helps

  • Influxis to Host Collaboration Service

    Dear LCCS Customer,
    I’m pleased to announce Adobe and its partner Influxis have reached an agreement resulting in a hosted collaboration service offering based on Adobe’s LiveCycle Collaboration Service (LCCS) code. The new service will be known as Influxis Collaboration Service and is targeted to be up and running by early November, 2012. Influxis has been a trusted Adobe partner for 6 years, starting as a Flash Media Service hosting company and is now a leading interactive media delivery provider specializing in video solutions. Learn more about Influxis at http://ics.influxis.com/.
    Influxis Collaboration Service will be built to support the same framework and offer the same feature set currently available via LCCS. Influxis welcomes all Adobe LCCS customers to migrate to Influxis Collboration Service. Initial services will include dedicated servers for enterprise customers and others interested in having their own personal server environment. Shared server hosting will soon follow and be in place by December 2012.
    In order to minimize impact and in an attempt to make the transition from Adobe to Influxis as seamless as possible, Adobe will continue to run its LCCS service in parallel until December 31, 2012. During this time, Adobe will also provide Influxis with ramp-up support as needed.
    Transition planning is well underway. Influxis has already begun working with Adobe LCCS customers to exchange ideas on how best to achieve a successful transition. If you are interested in talking to Influxis about their service offering please contact Wesley Daggett at 661-775-3936 or via e-mail [email protected]. In the coming weeks Adobe and Influxis will provide additional detail about the specific transition plans on the LCCS Forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/livecycle/lccs.
    Adobe and Influxis are excited about this new opportunity and will work together to ensure a successful transition for customers who choose to make the move from LCCS to Influxis Collaboration Service.
    Regards,
    Jeff Stanier
    Group Product Manager - LiveCycle

    Jeff,
    Is there anyway that I can get a LCCS account to develop with whilst there is this limbo period before  Influxis comes online with their paid service?
    I am literally just trying to get the skeleton working while waiting.
    Any help or insights from the community as well are welcome! :-)

  • Collaboration service endpoint?

    Hi,
    is there any way to use Adobe collaboration services with non-Adobe applications? For example with Silverlight?
    Probably I need some web service endpoint first. Did anybody try it?
    Thanks.

    Sorry, but I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do.
    The core of LCCS is real time communication between Flash clients using Flash-only network protocols (rtmp, etc.) so if you are trying to build a set of Silverlight applications that communicate in real time this may be the wrong component for you.
    But if you want to write Flash applications that uses LCCS as the backbone and also interact with an application server written using .NET we also provide some server-side APIs that you can leverage for account management and in the next version of the SDK we'll include the .NET interfaces.

  • Which product is better among Adobe connect and LiveCycle Collaboration service.

    Hello,
    I am developing real time application within it chatting, video conferncing, audio conferencing, white board application doing with more than 5000 employee.So please tell me which product is better among Adobe Connect and Live Cycle Collaboration services.
    If there is another option other than these both product then also please tell me.
    I want same application just like http://puremvc.org/content/blogsection/9/176/ this URL.Within this URL please create different account and see how this system works and reply me.
    Thnaks.

    Hi There,
    If you're developing an application, you likely want to use LCCS rather
    than connect. Connect is a pre-built app, whereas LCCS is a framework and
    service for building apps.
      We're not really here to do your research work for you however, so please
    limit your questions to LCCS.
    hope that helps,

  • Taxonomy feedback service, and all other collaboration services

    I am using EP6 SP17.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Thomas,
    I've got a similar problem in my portal which is EP 7.0 SP9. Giving feedback wasn't enable regardless of setting appropriate command in CollectionListRenderer's property 'displayed properties'. We've created OSS message and they said that this is a bug and there is no workaround available till SP10. You should try to check the latest SP release for your portal version. There could be a solution of your problem.

  • Will LiveCycle Collaboration Service Be Supported on Flex Mobile aka Slider?

    Will LiveCycle Collaboration Service Be Supported on Flex Mobile aka Slider?
    For example, can you create mobile using LCCS?????????

    Hi,
    Just to re-state Raff,The flash version of LCCS SDK requires the basic flash libraries or in other words , just the playerglobal.swc . So if Slider also depends on playerglobal.swc like the Flex, then LCCS would be fully functional on Slider too. But the only bad news would be that we wouldnt be able to exploit the slider specific features and leverage its benefits.
    And as Raff pointed out, if there is enough interest the LCCS team can probably supply also a Flex Mobile implementation of the LCCS pods.
    Thanks
    Arun

  • Disable Collaboration Services

    Hi all experts,
    In productive mode, you should only have those services active on the J2EE Engine that are needed. Since we are not going to use the collaboration functionality I need to disable all services related to Collaboration. Do I need disable something in Visual Admin and Config tool or can I do it directly in System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management
    Thanks all experts in advance
    Regards

  • How to call the collaboration service send e-mail

    Hello,
    I’m trying to call the send e-mail link command (clpGWSendMailLink) via an htmlb button.
    Does anybody know how to call a link command or a command group via an htmlb control? Or is there another way to realize?
    I couldn’t find any information. I also tried to find out which URL is called. But it also ended in smoke.

    Hi Ardiles,
    first, welcom on SDN!
    I'm almost sure that there is no trick to call this hardcoded. Please imagine that these commandos are totally embedded within the FlexUI framework, which cares about calling the commands etc.
    On the other hand, you can use the service without using the (FlexUI) command. Then you have to care about the visual side on your own but you can use the mailing logic of the service.
    Hope it helps

    Can anyone suggest me what should be done for that .
    Thanks
    shashank
    Urs answers must be appreciate !!!!

    Hi,
      If you check under
    \<SYS-ID>\SYS\global\config\cm\reports
    there you will find a set of reports indicating the status of the deployment of the configuration. Please check the number and the size of the files. If there are any files that are bigger than the rest (> 100-200 KB), that typically indicates an error during deployment. Also, normally ~70 files should be in there, if the number is lower, then some are missing.
    The best solution in my opinion is just to try and redeploy the collabortation packages.

    Aditya

  • Creating a collaboration service.

    Hi,
    I am using this tutorial at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/9e/849b42641a0731e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    I have added a few lines of more code to iterate the arraylist and display the values.The full listing of my code goes as :
    package com.rh.sukanta.demo.kmc.collaboration;
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    import java.lang.Exception;
    import com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.shared.ctx.ContextContainer;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.Form;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.page.DynPage;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.page.PageException;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.rendering.IPageContext;
    import com.sapportals.portal.htmlb.page.PageProcessorComponent;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.IPortalComponentRequest;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.IPortalComponentResponse;
    public class SimpleCollaborationService2 extends PageProcessorComponent {
      public DynPage getPage() {
        return new SimpleCollaborationService2DynPage();
      public static class SimpleCollaborationService2DynPage extends DynPage {
    Initialization code executed once per user.
        public void doInitialization() throws PageException {
    Input handling code. In general called the first time with the second page request from the user.
        public void doProcessAfterInput() throws PageException {
    Create output. Called once per request.
        public void doProcessBeforeOutput() throws PageException {
        Form myForm = this.getForm(); // get the form from DynPage
        // create your GUI here....
         IPageContext pc = getPageContext();
         IPortalComponentRequest request = (IPortalComponentRequest)pc.getRequest();
         // Use the PortalComponentRequest to create the ContextContainer
         ContextContainer container = new ContextContainer(request);
         try{
           // Retrieve flat list of UniqueIds of Principals
           ArrayList peopleIdList = container.getResolvedPeopleList();
         // put your application logic here ...
         IPortalComponentResponse response = (IPortalComponentResponse)pc.getResponse();
         for(int i=0; i<peopleIdList.size();i++)
           response.write(peopleIdList.get(i).toString());
         catch(Exception e){
           throw new PageException(e);
    Now I have compiled the and deployed the .par file sucessfully on the server. How do I execute the example post deployment of the .PAR file. Plz let me know the step by step method to execute the example.

  • Purpose of Collaboration Services

    OK, now I'm admittedly a relative Apple noob, so bear with me.
    According to the Mac OSX Server Getting Started Guide - page 15-17:
    "iCal Server makes it easy to share calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate events."
    However - as evidenced here - it doesn't appear that iCal Server is intended to share calendars at all, in fact it seems to only allow single users to make their own calendars and whatnot:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2144655&tstart=0
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2238411&tstart=0
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2237812&tstart=0
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2241199&tstart=0
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2147439&tstart=30
    Can someone confirm this before I spend thousands of dollars needlessly, and i can go calm down my CEO who is foaming at the mouth to be able to have a single calendar betwixt his iphone and his outlook 2007?
    Essentially my requirements (and understanding of how it works) are this:
    ipod/iphone users as well as macs, and PC's running Outlook 2007 should be able to connect to a centralized calendar, whereby users can schedule other users for meetings and work items.
    Every user should be able to view the calendar and at a glance see what has been scheduled.

    In general, what you need to do is use the "iCal Server Utility".
    You use that application to create a "Resource" or a "Location". These would be what you would consider a "group" calendar (ie, a "room reservation" or "staff vacation" calendar.)
    Once you create this "Resource/Location", then you can allow your users to have read/read-only access to that calendar.
    The only tricky thing about this is that Apple inexplicably removed the ability to set permissions to these resource/location calendars from a GUI, so you have to do it via command line according to these basic steps:
    First determine the locations' record name in OD:
    dscl /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 list /Places
    Let's say that is 'vacation'. Next determine the record name of the group you want to add as a delegate. Let's say that is 'testers'.
    To see who currently has delegate access do:
    sudo calendarservermanageprincipals --list-write-proxies locations:vacation
    To add the group do:
    sudo calendarservermanageprincipals --add-write-proxy=groups:testers locations:vacation
    Do the --list command again to verify the change.
    Use -read- instead of -write- if you want read-only delegates rather than read-write.
    This has worked fine here. I suggest submitting an "Enhancement Request" to http://bugreporter.apple.com and ask them to put a GUI option in the "iCal Server Utility" for this (it used to be in the GUI in 10.5's "Directory.app" program...)
