Collaboration : Share Application not working
Hi,
I have configured for Collaboration. After click on Collaboration, select the userA now from context menu, select the "Share Application". Now the pop-up comes having the tab as "<b>Select an application to share</b>" with the <b>Cross Sign</b> and having the message "<b>Application sharing control: If you do not see a list of all running programs, contact your system administrator.</b>"
Can someone help me on this, how I can resove it.

Specifically, what other applications are not working? Name them.
Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider? You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.

Share calculation Not working in the report
Iam surprised not to ge the simple share calculation not working at my report.
I have a dimension and corresponding values ( measures) .I made a Total at the end of the report. and I want to calcualte share of Total to each corresponding value.
how to do this, any thougts,...
I have used calculated memebers for this, But I wan to make the percentage of the total ( which is calculated inside Tool itself)
Please help....Prassad,
Not totally sure what you are trying to achieve but there a couple of possible solutions:
1) Total = total of all dimension members. Assuming you only have three dimension members then you should have a fourth member called ALL_DIMS or something similar. In the Share calculation template you need to specify the Total level as the basis for your share calc. This will generate the following result:
Revenue % Share
- All Members 600 100%
A 100 17%
B 200 33%
C 300 50%2) The total you are referring to is in fact a sub total and is the result of adding together only the results for A + B + C, i.e. you have hundreds of dimension members but you specifically want to see a total for just these three members. To do this create a new custom aggregate call "My Total" and add together the dimension members A + B + C - Custom Aggs are a new feature to Discoverer OLAP (Checkout Mark Rittman's excellent blog article for more information on this feature: http://www.rittmanmead.com/2006/11/13/checking-out-the-new-discoverer-101220-features/)
Then in the Share calculation wizard set the basis for your index using the last option in the list "Specific Dimension Member" and select your new custom aggregate member.
Hope this helps

Two part question
1) what happens if you sign into messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 after it expired? does the whole application not work or just imessage? can you stil use AIM, jabbar, google talk, or yahoo? if you open messages beta does it immediately tell you that messages beta expired?
2) does installing messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 delete ichat or just transform ichat into messages beta giving the illusion that ichat is deleted?Hi,
It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012 (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.

Share Document Not Working?
Is Sharing not working? No one receives the Email invites and their entered Email address, after the invites were sent, are not listed anywhere as being currently shared. (using the desktop version which is online and shows green)
Hi,
I can understand that there are usability issue in Sharing feature. Currently, email notification is just for information. Once you share script with some one, he needs to login into Story, and then save script.
After login, the user can see notification of the shared script on the top bar in Projects view. The user then can can save the script and then can start working on the script.
Please find step by step procedures:
1. Owner (Say User1) shares the script with another user (say User2)
2. User2 received an email notification
3. User2 launch Story
4. User2 provides login and password
5. After login, user2 switches to "Projects view:
incase user2 opens "Home" Page then click on "Project" tab on the top left bar in the application
6. In the Projects view there is a mail icon, which will show all scripts (I also placed snapshot in this thread)
7. Now click on this icon, user2 can see notification of all shared scripts
8. Now user2 clicks on the script and save this script
9. Now user2 can start working on this script
Please let us know if you face any problem in this workflow. We would like to solve this problem and also try to find a way to make this feature user friendly.

My Share function is not working. The last change I've made was to change my AOL password, however don't think that was the cause.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
IvyLaunch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

Windows Network Shares do not work properly
Ever since installing LEOPARD (now running 10.5.2) my network shares on our Windows server are not working properly. I can connect in the office via cifs:// and the share appears. I cannot copy a file to the share. I get the following message:
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
There is an icon with a size of 0kb on the share, and if I try to open it or trash it, I get a message telling me it is in use by the MAC OS. I can open a file from the share, but if I try to save it back to the share or save from an application I get a "There has been a network file permission error."
If I try to copy the file to my desktop. I get a message that tells me that I don't have permission.
If I try to connect using https:// I get a username or password not valid message. Both of the connection methods worked BEFORE I installed LEOPARD. The install was a clean install, not an upgrade. I NEED to be able to access the shares for my work. The shares are on a server running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
How can I solve this? I actually have administrator privileges on the server with my login credentials, but this does not seem to matter.Experiencing the same exact problems here. Brand new Mac Pro on a Windows 2003 Server network. Somehow I don't think it is any rights problems in my case, as I can create and erase folders (created by me or others), and the Mac writes the .DS_Store files to the server...
However, if I try to copy a single file or a folder containing files to the server, I get only a 0k file (inside the folder if I copy a folder) and after a while an error message saying the same things William Colvin2 mentions above (not sufficient privileges).
Everything I have read seems to indicate that there is huge problems with Leopard with regard to this, and if that is true, they need to be fixed ASAP. I think I've tried and tested all the possible "solutions" (disabling SMB digital signature, GPO policies, disabling IPv6...) but still no solution in sight.
Can we get some info from Apple on this whether it's being worked on, or what we can do to SOLVE this problem? As far as I know, Windows 2003 Server hasn't changed in that respect recently, whereas OSX has gone from 10.4 Tiger to 10.5 Leopard...
Any help with solving the problem is greatly appreciated, so feel free to respond with anything that might be helpful. I would also be interested in hearing from people who have HAD this problem, but has gotten them solved. And if so, what solved it for you.
Thanks in advance. -
VIDEO/SHARE features not working...?
Hi
I have successfully set up iChat on my Macbook Pro - and the text chat part works fine. However, the video/conference/share screen all do not... I have tried it out on a friend with a macbook (also intel based) but keeps coming up with a random error. I can't locate any obvious settings that might need amending...or understand why it's not working.
Please advise

E75 messaging application not working
Hi,
I have recently purchased an E75 and at first glance it looks to be very nice. However, now i have run into the problem that messaging is not working properly. The message indicator is telling me that I have 6 new messages. When I try to go menu>>messages the application tries to open but immediately crashes. Also when I try to open the messages directly by clicking on them from the message indicator the same behavior seems to happen.
Has anybody experienced the same? How do I get rid of these messages if I can't open them?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Porthos
Message Edited by porthos on 13-Oct-2009 02:54 PMI've had similar problems with my E75.
I've found that Nokia Messaging simply gets confused & over-loaded, and gives up.
Try accessing you email account from your computer.
Then, delete all of your messages from your inbox & sent folders.
Basically, purge as much as possible.
Then try accessing it from your E75.
This usually works for me.

SMS timer application not working
Hi
I have just downloaded the SMS timer application from symbian freak website and installed it on my phone 5800XM (v40). However, the application is not working. When I am sending a SMS, it does not ask me to schedule it. The SMS gets sent immediately.
Can some one tell me what is wrong with the installation and how to correct it?
Thank youOdd, seems like iMessage is having problems right now for a number of people when it comes to sending text (SMS) / iMessage messages. No longer can sign in to it via my Apple ID while Facetime still does sign in.
