Collaboration with other software

I would need to collaborate with another company for
translation and they do not use RoboHelp for their documentation
needs.
Apart from getting them to buy the software... ;) Is there
any easy way to send them the text I've written, get them to
translate it and then re-import it easily in RoboHelp?

How easy it is depends quite a bit on the translation
company's process and what file types they'll deal with. For
example, our in-house translation group has software (WorldServer)
that pulls strings out of Word documents, HTML files, PowerPoint
presentations, and others. But they have to have a filter for each
type, and new file types require new filters. If the company you're
dealing with takes HTML files and gives you HTML files back, you're
most of the way there.
I give our translation group my HTML topics; they translate
and send them back. Then I drop them back into my project using
Windows Explorer and tell it to replace the old ones. But that
works because I have a copy of a project for each language. So far,
it was worked pretty well--maybe a glitch or two, but nothing
major.
When it comes to files like the TOC, glossary, and index,
your best bet is to have them look at those files first to see if
they can work with them. If not, you may have to copy the text you
want translated into a more friendly format for them. Then you'd
have to copy/paste the text back into the RH files once they're
done.

Open your Info, choose Master, open Details, and click on the blank effect section (w/ the checkbox beside it) and choose Ozone.
You can use it the same way for individual tracks if you want to.

When you say "print", do you mean the text is correct in your InDesign file? If you export the document to a PDF, is it still correct? Final test: if you print the PDF to your printer (making sure you use the same driver and setting), is it wrong? Then it's your printer driver, trying to be smart when it should not. Locate a Settings dialog where you can switch off options such as this one. Were I a betting person, I'd tell you to look for something called "Auto-correct mirrored documents".

TS2570 doesn't work, still the same problem when using Rapidweaver software. NOT with other software.

i tried everything in this article, but still have the same problem when using Rapidweaver software. NOT with other software. I am converting my iWeb site to Rapidweaver, whenever there is a calmer period in my office. I have 16 Gb RAM on my NEW iMac and have Parallels desktop, mail, safari, iWeb and Rapidweaver running simultanious.
I never have the problem if i don't use Rapidweaver, but after i have added several pages to Rapidweaver, the problem begins. my iMac won't start up. the only thing that works is re-installing Macos OS X 10.8. i tried even whiping the completeharddrive, and reinstalling with a complete new user, the same problem.
I had it on my previous iMac also, and bought a new one because i thought the problem was in the iMac first. i hadn't noticed it only happens with using rapidweaver.
i sent my complete rapidweaver project to the programmers from rapidweaver at Realmacsoftware, but they couldnt reproduce my problem, there macs started up without any problem.
i deleted all the rapidweaver addons and extra stacks, and started a complete new project.
saterday i had the problem again, after adding about 5 new pages to my rapidweaver site.
i think i have reinstalled Macos OS X 10.8.2 20 or 30 times by now
does anyone have a sollution?

Generally when there are other softwares (non SAP) then they are connected through customized interfaces. The interface can be through a XML file or VITRIA interfaces.
Some times real time RFC s are also used to call the transactions from outside SAP.
Processing the information from other systems either will be through idoc or a Z* program which will process incoming vitria files.
Idocs are created by convering the XML files (flat files) to idoc using standard sap programs.

Few 5DmkII RAW files do not open with Aperture, but OK with other software

Hi, I have two RAW files which I cannot import with Apple Aperture. The files open fine with Canon Digital Photo Professional, Raw Photo Processor and dcraw (and with various programs on my Windows 7 laptop) and I'm able to create TIFF files from the RAW files with every other software.
Detail about the files:
A. they are two first frames of burst (used auto bracketing, which takes 3 images in burst mode, to create HDR image)
B. there is nothing strange in the files, they are normal RAW files and file size is normal as well (other 28.4MB and 32.7MB)
C. both files process OK in above mentioned softwares and there are no blocks missing from created TIFF images, also preview JPG in the RAW file is OK
D. Mac OS X Quick view (press spacebar in Finder) and Preview do show these two RAW images well (I assume they use the embedded JPG image)
I have installed all the updates available in "Apple icon" -> "Software update..." function. Therefore I have Apple Aperture version 3.0.2. Computer is MacPro:

This is not relevant to sRAW files, I did not change the between camera taking automated bracketed shots the image format for 2 shots to sRAW and took 3rd with RAW, that is not even possible.
I have copied the images from card to hard drive, not trying to read from the card itself. However now you mention tried also from card = exactly same result. Tried desktop (different HD) and external USB and external eSata, all same result.
Get info doesn't show anything wierd for the images. All other 192 RAWs from same shoot were imported with exact same methodology (as well as 60000 images before that).
Then to gosuk2:
There is no HDR setting in camera, I took the images FOR HDR, but did not use any specific setting, just used 1 1/3 stop bracketing and 2 second times when camera automatically takes 1 1/3 underexposed, correct exposure and 1 1/3 overexposed image (the order of images can naturally be changed via custom function in camera). All this is unrelevant since I shoot quite often HDR with this method (=more than 500 images each month) this way and they have always been fine before these two images.
I see the files in import panel and I the don't use import dublicates setting so that doesn't affect the situation (why it would, Aperture things files are broken).
Again HDR cannot be combined in 5DmkII, it's just automatically shoot 3 bracketed shots.
No I don't get same result no matter what I do, it's just these two files. My other ~5000 HDR bracketed RAWs are importing fine as well as all burst/shots taken in continous shooting mode.
I'm very aware how stacking of images works, but I do not understand relevance to this issue. I can not import the images at all to Apple Aperture, after importing all images Aperture displays dialog saying that following files could not be imported to Aperture, then displays list with both of these files in the list and gives possibility to locate the files in Finder.
I have used Aperture since version 1 and I have 70000 images imported successfully to Aperture. Earlier I have seen this dialog "Aperture could not import image" only after hard drive/card failure. However then images cannot be used in Canon's DPP (Digital Photo Professional) or any other RAW software - now the problem ONLY EXISTS in Aperture all other RAW converters are able to open and process SUCCESSFULLY these images.
So I'm not whining that Aperture is not good, but if it starts to work only part of the images in future and I have to process rest of the images with Canon DPP (that program is really lousy on usability standpoint) then I'm not so happy with Aperture anymore.
Will report here if I get any comments back from Apple through the Feebback tool.

Can i use airport with other software than itunes?

I have my living room speakers connected to my Airport Express.
I can listen to my iTunes music playing it on my MacBook Air and I can use my iPhone to control it with Remote App.
But I can't use any other software to send sound to my speakers through Airport Express.
Is there a way to tell my computer to send all sound to Airport Express, e.g. listen to music from Youtube in my livingroom speakers?

N95 Using multimedia keys with other software?

Some programs require using the landscape mode with both hands so is it possible somehow to use those multimedia keys in other softwares? They seem to not recognize them.
If not, does someone know any program which could create a mirror button from them? Like you could set the number "3" to do the same action as "play" button.

Which applications do you mean. Still not quite sure what you want to do.
I have added additional applications to the Multi-media menu, but you activate it normally via pressing the MM key and then cycling through the menu list.
Show the KUDOS button some love.... Hit that bad boy.... It don't hurt....

QuickTime Incompatibility with Other Software

I installed QuickTime on my laptop, but it seems to be incompatible with some other software I use called VisView, which is software used for viewing tiff files. The only thing I use QuickTime for is to listen to iTunes files--I don't want QuickTime interacting with my browser in any way. Is it possible to install QuickTime without installing the browser plug-in/add-on? Disabling the add-on doesn't work, and de-selecting tiff files in the QuickTime preferences doesn't work for tiff files that I try to open directly from web links.

Lauch the Player. Choose edit>preferences>QuickTime.
Select the Browser tab. Click on "mime types". In this window simply remove the checks for all types you don't want the browser plugin to handle. Ok, apply.
Under the file types tab do the same if you have other applications to view or open file types such as movies (mpeg, windows) or pictures (gif, tif, windows, jpeg). Apply, Ok.
Restart the OpSys to enforce the change.

Transfer Music with other software! Please help

I was reading one of the FAQ from nomadness.net and they said that if you have connection problem with Zen then you could try some other transfer software such as Windows Media Player. Does anyone know how to transfer music with these other software to a Zen Micro player?

I don't find the Windows Media Player or the Creative Players to be very easy to use, at least for me. Am using the Real Player and find it is great to use for my Zen Micro 5GB and Zen Xtra 30GB. You can go to www.real.com and download their free basic player. Go to the burn/transfer page and it will prompt you to add your Zen Micro to the list of devices. The learning curve seems to be very short for this player.

Poor OTA reception with Windows 7 Media Center but fine with other software and my TV

I installed a new tuner (ASUS EHD3-100 dual ATSC tuners) into my Inspiron 518 (7 Enterprise, C2Q 2.4GHz, 3GB RAM, 640GB HDD, Radeon 5450 512MB, most recent drivers and updates installed). Tried to set up the tuner in windows 7 media
center and had to add the tuners manually. It found all the stations I was looking for but many had only one red bar for signal strength. If the stars line up correctly I can watch the stations with one red bar but most of the time I get an error
message. I even have one station with all green bars but Media Center still gives me an error when I try to watch that station.
I then decided to use the software that came with my tuner (ARCsoft Total Media). All stations came in with a strong signal.
The signal used in both situations came directly (I unplugged the cable from my TV and plugged it into the tuner) from an antenna in my attic that has been connected to my TV (Pioneer PDP-4280) which shows a signal strength of ~60% plus for all stations.
Pretty sure it's not a signal strength or quality issue because everything works fine with the TV and with Total Media.
Would rather use Media Center because it seems easier to navigate and is easier on the eyes.
Any ideas on how to get the stations with only one red bar of signal strength working in Media Center?

Have you ran the troubleshooter yet?

Adobe Premier Elements 12 - Exporting trimmed AVCHD files from the project timeline, to a separate folder for burning to Blu Ray disc with other software?

Hi, can anyone help please. This is the first time I have used this forum.
I use Premier Elements 12, a PC, 64 Bit, Windows 7, high powered computer.
Just started trimming AVCHD in this software.
I would like to know if it is possible to export trimmed AVCHD files to a folder elsewhere (files which were originally imported into the project timeline), so that I can burn the trimmed AVCHD files (not in 'Project' form) to Blu Ray disc (using another software which I know that works to burn video files to Blu Ray disc).

Premiere Elements 11, 12, and 13 are similar. But, version 13 has significant feature removals and a new Elements Organizer.
So, when viewing or reading tutorials, try to determine the version of the program being used for the tutorials. As I typically write
principles tend to remain the same from version to version, but the features tend to move, change, or be discontinued from version
to version. And, it is frustrating to be armed with principles when you cannot find a feature.

Link labview with other software which can do hydraulic simulation such as Nanas Fluent.

   Hi all:
          I currently want to exchange data between labview with Ansys fluent. That is: sending flow boundary condition and initial condition from labview to hydraulic simulation software (ansys fluent), and get simulation result back to labview from that software.
         I didn't find any modules online to link labview and fluent together. (There are others such as Labview Solidworks module)
         Is any one know how to link labview to any software which can do hydraulic simulation?

Do you know of any other programs that exchange data with Ansys? If so how do they do it? ActiveX is a common way for communicating between LabVIEW and other programs, is this an option?

Final CAT Pro Plugins Services cause shortcuts conflict with other softwares

I just installed Final CAT Pro Plugins. They are useful but cause me an issue:
Since they are based on Services OSx system, they remain active also in other programs, so that when I use, for instance, Logic Pro, I have some shortcuts which match the Final CAT Services ones, and in the moment I digit them for Logic use they don't work in Logic and moreover cause FCPX to launch.
So.... How can I do? (Apart from changing the shortcuts....)
