Collapsing the space-wasting preview window when clicking on bookmarks???

Does anyone know where you can collapse the large-useless preview window in each of the bookmarks you open? I didn't realize people needed visual aids to look at their list of bookmarks under "table of contents" in the left column or in the bookmarks bar. This is just the most annoying and space-wasting of the new designs here, although there are at least a half-dozen more - just want to read my whole list of sites tallied in each folder.

Is this necessary every time you "open all bookmarks", or is it possible to do it once and have it stick?
I wonder why there were no instructions on the "Safari help" link about this ridiculous item, I guess they must assume here that everyone has a 30" screen instead of a laptop-size, and can see all their bookmark-lists upon opening them!

Does anyone know how to display the index of current desktop?
Brute force - - I have written the number of the Desktop directly onto the wallpaper picture I am using for each Desktop (easy to do with Preview).
All Desktops are using different wallpaper photos, so they are easily recognized by the color scheme, and in the upper left corner is the number.

The only way you will be able to track that iPod is if it is turned on and connected to a wifi network by the person that has it.

Amazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.

Can't activate the Stack or Data window when debugging or test a procedure

I can't activate the Stack or Data window when debugging a procedure. The options in the View/Debugger menu are all grayed out. I can't provide parameter values when testing procedures. I am using SQL Developper 3.2.2. Has this feature ever worked?

Thanks for the reply. You were right. I didn't have the privileges for debugging. I installed a local db and now have DBA privileges to do my learning and testing. I did a simple test that takes 2 strings and concatenates them into a 3rd variable then displays them. Seems to work except that the DBMS_OUTPUT occurs in the debug log is this normal? See below.

Do not get full page when click on bookmarked entry

when click on bookmarked item - only get part of a page not full page? Why? how do I get the full page from clicking on a bookmark?
using firefox 4 on win 7 - 64bit
last (old) firefox worked fine!!!

How are you saving a new bookmark?
There 5 ways to save a new Bookmark in Firefox, the first 4 should offer to save the new bookmark in a folder:

All of the sudden I am getting two windows when clicking on a link in Facebook. How can I stop this from happening? Please HELP

Today I discovered that when I was in facebook, and clicked on a link, anywhere, I would get a blank window and then another window would open up and have the links information on it. Why does FireFox keep changing the window when clicking on another program??

I upgraded to FF 8 recently. When I start it and go to, say, Gmail (in window A) then open another browser window (window B) to go to, say, Facebook, if I click on another program such as Live Messenger or even a reduced window of another program the window in FF always changes. I.E., I look at window A while B is open. I click on the message box from Live and the window changes to B. I click on A to get back to that window then click on the Live box again and B pops back up. I can't get it to stay on A no matter how many times I try.

I get a blank popup window when clicking a link in some websites. I used to get info in the popup.

I updated to FF 3.6 in early December. Since then there are some regular sites I visit that display a blank page when I click a link that used to have a popup window with the information.

I do not see the Adobe Reader (PDF) plugin listed with your original question. To see the plugins submitted with your question, click "More system details..." to the right of your original question post. You can also see your plugins from the Firefox menu, Tools > Add-ons > Plugins.
Try the following:
#Close all Firefox windows, File > Exit
#Click (Windows) Start > All Programs (or Programs) > Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader will open)

Microsoft Word consistently becomes active window when clicking between dual screens and programs

Dual screens with amazon Mini Display to VGA adapter
When I am running word between an external monitor and my MBP, Microsoft word always interrupts any clicks between programs and between screens to become the active window. This is especially annoying when I am trying to navigate between MacMail and Chrome, or any other programs.
The problem doesn't exist when I click between programs on the MBP, but only when I select windows between the two screens. Or programs on the external monitor.
Word is up to date, as is my MBP.
Please don't punt me to Microsoft, they're the worst!

There is a workaround for this problem, which was posted by Highestwater on the Microsoft Community thread for this bug and worked for me as well:
Go to
System Preferences > Mission Control >
and UN-check the box labeled "Displays have separate Spaces" (see image below)
The original poster on this thread may already be aware of this workaround, because he/she mentioned that the "separate Spaces" option is checked. But if you can live without the extra Mavericks dual display features (like going full screen in 1 display only, switching spaces independently on each display, and having a menu bar on each display), then uncheck this option and the "stealing focus" bug seems to disappear. For me the bug is so annoying that it's worth it to lose the extra features. Just yesterday I closed a Word document I was working on by mistake because I clicked on a Finder window on my other display and immediately pressed command-w to close it, without realizing that the focus had switched to my word document which closed instead. It was saved, but this sort of stuff interrupted my work enough to be both an annoyance and a time drain.

How can I make a specific page open in a new window when clicked from a menu?

Don't know if its possible but I have one specific page I want to open in a new window in the browswer when clicked on from a widget menu. I know how to go in and put the coding in but it would be nice if there is some option in Muse to do that already. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

ryanj4799 You'll need to change the Menu Type to Manual in the widget's options and add the links yourself. Then go to the Hyperlinks panel. Check the option to open in a new tab/window.

Open page in new window when click on HELP TAB

I have a number of tabs which work on my pages. My very last Tab is a Help Tab.
What I'm trying to achieve is that when a person clicks on the Help tab, the page should open in a new window.
The rest of the tabs should function normally, ie just switch pages in the same window.

Problem with openning a new window when click news tiltle link

After create a news item using News form created by XML form builder, i try to click title link, It always opens a new window, what i want is keep it in same window when i click the title link, not open a new one. Is there anyone know how to do that? thanks

I think its not possible in case of XML Form Builder. Bcoz,
Edit Form:it is for authoring like creating News
Render list Form:It is for Publishing the News
Show Form:It is for showing the whole content of the News
In XML Form Builder, by default when you create a new form these forms ie. Edit Form (You will design the Form here, only authorised person or the owner only view this).
The Second Form(Render List Item) is the one will be shown to everyone with brief information.
The Third Form(Show Form) is the one when you click on the News page, it will show you one more screen, there you can see the detailed description about the News.
So, when you click on the Rendered List Item Title, it will open only in the separate window.
