Collect responses online

(New) Creative Cloud user with a FormsCentral Question. I accessed FormsCentral through Acrobat Pro. Created a form, and all was well. I went to save as a PDF and got an error message. Also attempted to collect responses online and got an error message. I saw that I have additional subscription options that will enable me to do these things. The last of these options is titled "Acrobat Pro".
My question: if I have Acrobat Pro through a Creative Cloud subscription, do I then also have to subscribe through FromsCentral as well to access the additional features?

Hi taylor.weston,
When we purchase Acrobat XI Pro as a part of Creative Cloud, we need to purchase the FormsCentral subscription additionally.  It does not come with Acrobat XI Pro as a part of Creative Cloud.

  • Is it possible to set up a form with a submit button where the data in the fields gets added to an existing excel file, just like 'collect response' but without connecting to the internet?

I have a form that I want to use to collect peoples information with a submit button. I am trying to get the data that gets inserted to be added to an existing excel doc when the submit button gets hit, the form then resets and someone else can fill in the same form, hit submit and his data gets added to the existing data in the same excel doc. It is basically the same as the 'collecting response' option but without having to be online. The form is going to be used at a boat-show and I am going to get people to fill it out on an iPad. Does anybody know if this is possible?

You could connect a bunch of 3700s to each computer and do this .
Or...since you're the one who monitors the monthly limit, you could restrict an individual's internet access once you see that you guys are coming too close to the cap.
I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help.

  • Sharing link; viewing responses online

Is it possible to create a form in Acrobat Pro and distribute it through Acrobat.com and view the responses online?
I want to create a referral form for a medical office. I want the doctor's office to use a link at Acrobat.com to download the form and then submit the form.
The medical office personnel need to be able to access the responses, but they do not have access to Adobe Acrobat Pro or the "response" file created with the distribution.

    Hello,
Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, the only way to distribute and receive responses for a form is with Acrobat desktop software. Acrobat.com serves as the distribution and data collection mechanism, but all responses have to be tracked with Adobe Acrobat.
We are constantly trying to enhance the capabilities of Acrobat.com, and you can help us by adding your request to our Ideas page (http://ideas.acrobat.com), where you can post ideas and comment on or rate those that others have posted. We actively cull from this site to learn about what users most want to see in the service; I recommend posting your idea there.
    Best regards,
    Rebecca

  • Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app

Where is the "Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app" ?

Are you using the app bundled with Acrobat XI? or the one downloaded from the FormsCentral website? Only the former one has that tab.

  • Tracker not collecting responses, even though form submit works successfully.

I have created a file using Acrobat X, distributed it and am collecting responses using Tracker. When someone submits the form, I do not receive it and Tracker gives me this message, "You do not have access rights to this network resource." I have only ever been signed in as the same user and now I have multiple "Adobe server errors" that give no further details.
Now I'm assuming I've had multiple submissions and that they've been lost in space. Here is the form:
    https://workspaces.acrobat.com/app.html#d=NcFrmt42sNH-mUV1P1UV*w
See for yourself. You can submit it but I will never receive it.
    Where is it going???
    Thanks,
    Gab

    Hi gablaughin,
As far your form responses tracking is concern you should receive your responses in your inbox , I have attached your form submission windows.
I have taken off the user Email id for security reasons, i will message you that in your inbox also you can check with your IT may be they are not allowing outside emails or they may have be blocked based on attachments.

  • Distributed Form has Stopped Collecting Responses

I created a PDF distributed form and for 2 months the responses form collected responses. As of Monday of this week, all the previous responses are gone and no more are getting collected! Please, help! I need the lost data. Thanks

If you're collecting through Acrobat.com, then you need to be aware that the service has been end-of-lifed. This is mentioned in the most recent release notes: 11.0.07 Planned update, May 13, 2014 — Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes
I'm not sure what to say about the previously collected data. It should still be available in Tracker.
For the future, FormsCentral offers an alternative, but it's not free.

  • Did you know that Captivate 8 takes virtually all of the work out of creating responsive online courses?

I just saw the Adobe Blog article about Captivate 8 and the statement that Cp8 is an " authoring tool that takes virtually all of the work out of creating responsive courses online".
    http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2014/05/the-all-new-adobe-captivate-8-blends-authoring-ea se-with-game-changing-mobile-support.html
Methinks this might be a tad overstating the matter. With responsive e-learning courses you effectively need to build the same course three times for the three different device screen sizes.
    Gotta love marketing people...

Of course it is marketing hype, almost the only feature that everyone is shouting about, but I never did see a work flow, or real time experience described in all those blogs. I never write about some features I didn't explore, so I started with those that are also useful for the many companies that are not turning to mobile or BYOD yet, and have talked about those, including limitation and possible improvements.
However, Rod, I don't agree totally with you. There is work taken out of your hand with the Responsive project work flow in Captivate. Responsive themes, smart positioning, resizing of objects, text, repositioning for phone break point, and testing with Edge Inspect are working pretty well, especially for this first implementation in Captivate (do not expect miracles). And from a usability standpoint, you have to reflect indeed on how the concept has to be, and that is different for each device. Such a mindframe takes a lot more than what a newbie playing for one day with Captivate can realize (as proclaim most blog posts), you don't have to persuade me about that. However I don't agree with your statement  'you effectively need to build the same course three times', but so-called 'single-source publishing' has always been a dream that will never be realized IMO, certainly not for eLearning.
I am busy creating a real responsive tutorial (for Captivate) and will try to explain later on what I learned by doing. Only at that moment I will 'write', marketing is certainly not one of my skills

  • NEW! Import Fillable PDF Form and Collect Responses

FormsCentral now allows you to import an existing fillable PDF form and use the FormsCentral service to collect and analyze the submitted data. You no longer have to recreate your existing PDF forms within the service in order to take advantage of FormsCentral’s data collection/analysis capabilities.
You can also use popular tools like Adobe Acrobat X Pro or Adobe InDesign to create PDF forms that work with FormsCentral.
To import a PDF form go to the “My Forms” tab, click the More button on the toolbar and select “Import PDF Form.” Note: FormsCentral does not support PDF forms created using the LiveCycle Designer (XML-based forms).
Once imported the normal Design tab is replaced with an “Imported Form” tab that allows you to place a Submit button on the PDF form. You can place it on the top left or right of the first page, or place it on the bottom left or right of the last page. A thumbnail shows where the button will appear.
The Options tab shows options that are available for PDF forms (Note: PDF Forms do not support Redirect URLs or Payments so these are not shown)
The Distribute tab allows you to open the form and download the submit-enabled PDF file for distribution. The PDF file can be filled out, saved and submitted using the free Adobe Reader.
The Response and Summary Report tabs will show the data submitted from the PDF form. They function as they do for a normal form file that you created from scratch or template.
This FAQ describes what types of PDF forms can/cannot be imported and what functionality is limited within the PDF once imported:

I followed this process to import my PDF form.  The link I have on my web page is displaying an error from FormsCentral.  The link works but the web page is confusing to customers.  The message is:
    An error has occurred.
The form does not exist. Please re-enter the web address as the link may be misspelled.
When I saved the submission-enabled PDF, I could only save it to my computer.  I then had to upload it to the web site server and created a link on my web page to point to that URL.
How can I get rid of the Adobe FormsCentral message on the web page?

  • Collecting Responses only collects first line in distributed form

Does anyone know if this is a common problem with a known solution? I have a distributed dynamic form which starts out with one line. The user fills it in, then adds additional lines when necessary. User then uses the submit via email button on the form to email the form back to me. I receive the form, and am prompted to save response into a response file. However, when viewing the response file, only the first line of the form is entered, even though the user has added and filled in multiple lines. Any idea what is causing this?
    Thanks,
    Jo
Edit: Actually, when I export it as a CSV file and open it in Excel, the data is there, but it is spread out...i.e., each line that has been added by the user is appended as additional columns, not as additional rows. I really only need to view it in Adobe, so is there any way of getting ALL of the collected data to display in the Adobe form collector?

  • Collecting responses to forms designed in 9 Pro with 9 Standard

I am looking to install the Acrobat 9 Pro trial to test using LiveCycle to design to PDF forms, but would like to check that I will be able to continue collecting the responses in Acrobat 9 Standard after the trail period has expired.
Do I need Pro to collect forms designed in Pro?
    Many thanks,
    Joe

I'm looking to test the uptake of the forms to see whether it's worthwhile purchasing the upgrade.
I understand I could still access any forms sent back to me, just wondering whether the automatic collection would still work.

  • DV from collection response, help?

I sent off the DV request for an old business internet account a few weeks ago CMRRR and got a response today. It looks like a screen cap that was my name, old address, last payment date and amount owed. No social anywhere, nothing identifying past name/address other than Charter account number. Charter business is now under another name and they can't tell me a thing. I think I paid this last year, but I can't find anything to back that up.  Is is this a valid DV? It's not on my report, yet. How do I pay this and ensure they keep it off my CRs?

You will want to make a deal with whomever is trying to collect to pay in exchange for it not reporting to your CR.

  • What is the best way for my small company to collect timesheets online?

I have been using Acrobat 9 Pro.
I have also tried acrobat.com and after reading the help file I tried to login to www.formscentral.com but can't.
I have a simple form (pdf) that calculates the hours worked in a 2 week period.
Most of our employees who are not computer savy have to be able to fill it out from any computer and click the send button.
Right now I have a link to the form - on this page- http://www.sonrisecare.com/?page_id=226
Today it stopped working with a notice of Network resource not found.
So I redid the form with the wizard and put a new link back up.  Is it going to stop working again after so many responses?
Is there a better way to get this job done?
    Thank you in advance.

I am a bit concerned about the content. If it is private data (tend to think it is), then forms central is OK I think. George posted a link to the secure aspects in another discussion. The alternative is to create a web script on your own server (prefer to be secure for such info) and submit the info there. You would have a bit more control that way and could easily add the submitted data to a database. I am not saying I am good at creating such a setup, but it is more of the ideal.
