Collection: "An internal error has occurred: assertion failed!"
I'm running Lightroom 3 on Windows 7 (64-bit). Dell Precision T3400 with 4 cores and 8GB.
I have a collection with 20 photos.
When I try to move anyof these images to the first position of the collection, I get an Error dialog box with the message:
An internal error has occurred: assertion failed!

Hi, I've got the same problem. Not always and I can't reproduce it. It just happens...

Basically as the title states, I cannot publish a set of photos that originated as video frame captures, whether to my hard drive or using a service plugin for Flickr. I have tried multiple publish service plugins for Flickr and everything fails precisely the same way. This only happens when I add photos to the collection that are JPG's derived from video, and it only started doing this recently. I have other frame captures that I uploaded just fine, but it appears that nothing from the set I worked on the other day wants to upload. Other NEF-derived photos from the same set work just fine.
All I get is a Warning dialog stating that an error has occurred while the main dialog stops on "Preparing to export...", then it kicks me back with no action taken when I click OK. The status in the upper left says "Updating Published Collections". If I remove the new frame capture photo, it works fine, but as soon as I add one to the collection, it fails to publish.
I updated from 5.4 to 5.5, tried new publish plugins, completely removed and recreated my local profile, reimported my catalog, all to no avail. Everything worked fine two days ago, then when I went to upload my latest edits yesterday, I started receiving the error and have had no luck fixing it.
I used debugView to capture a log as the error occurred, so I can provide that for a developer or support contact if required.
EDIT: I just tried choosing some different photos in the set, and most appear to work, so it is just some particular images that it does not like. I will try to narrow it down.
Message was edited by: Andrew MortonI narrowed it down to one photo in particular that it does not like. It's not a deal-breaker, but I am still curious what is going on that is causing that one photo being in a set to break the publish process

An internal error has occurred: assertion failed!
Error occures on file export. I have reinstalled LR4, Repaired disk pernissions, trashed P files, checked ignore ownership on destination volume. Nothing seems to help. Export works fine from LR3.
If anyone has any ideas please share.
System:
Mac OS X 10.7.3
2x2.8 GHz Quad-Core
16GB Ram
LR4
Thanks- JackieThank you for your prompt response Victoria. That popup was set to "Do Nothing" but I found the problem:
I kept checking similar questions after I posted and found someone who'd had the same trouble but only on one user account. This reminded me that Lr had done odd things with permissions on Presets folders in the past which had prevented me from saving new presets.
The backstory: When I created the main user account on this machine - by restoring from a TimeMachine backup - it somehow gave me a short name with a space in it. No idea how, but it hasn't caused me any problems in 4 years - except with Lightroom! Lr sets the ownership on all its folders to the first word of my short user name, which is not me as far as the system is concerned so I don't get RW access.
The solution in this case was to make myself the owner of, and give myself RW access to, the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/ and everything in it.
I guess Lr does not expect a short name with a space in it, which should be a reasonable assumption given that I don't think you can create them in the OS X gui, and fails to deal with it when it finds one by only parsing the first word. -
Here is a screen shot, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Setting up Prime Infrastructure to manage 2504 WLC, trying to add Lobby Ambassador and I get this error message:
User add failed : Some unexpected internal error has occurred. If the problem persists please report to the Tech Support.
Technically, this is my second attempt at setting up PI. I set it up initially with the wrong version of PI and created a lobby ambassador. I followed the instructions from the forum with a similar problem that said to remove the trap receiver on the WLC from my first attempt at installing PI.
https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11110686/failed-add-device-wcs-reason-common-1-some-unexpected-internal-error-has-occured
I'm now able to add a Lobby Ambassador as long as its not the same username that I created on the previous PI setup. So I suspect this Lobby Ambassador username is somewhere on the 2504 WLC, but I can't find it anywhere to remove it.I have just been struggling with a similar issue on a fresh install of Prime 2.1 Upgraded to 2.1.1.
If I try to create the user with lobby ambassador role it just fails with "unexpected internal error".
I eventually found that by creating the user as a normal admin user first - the user is added. You can then go in a remove the admin role and change the role to lobby ambassador. This works with no internal error and the lobby admin user is working fine.
I would say it is just a bug. -

"/oraias/oraInventory/logs/installActions2010-08-18_11-03-52AM.out"
i have tried several ways and many times to reinstall, to solve this error but still the result is still failed. i've tried to follow metalink suggestion by Edit the PATH, CLASSPATH, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables so that they do not reference any Oracle home directories, try to transfer again the software installation to directory server and extract from cpio files(i thought maybe the software might be corrupted) but the result is still same, stuck at the same place..! if any of you have experienced this before or have any idea on which setup do i have to look again, pls reply me ya. pls help and your help is very much appreciated.thanks in advanced.Hi, welcome to the forums!
Have you already added the new node to Clusterware?. Have you followed all the steps detailed on the documentation?
The note *How to Add Node/Instance or Remove Node/Instance in 10gR2, 11gR1 and 11gR2 Oracle Clusterware and RAC [ID 1332451.1]* is a must read, which points to the public documentation.
If you already did that previous steps, you can enable a more detailed logging for the addnode execution with the parameters "-debug -logLevel finest", and setting this variables before running it again:
export SRVM_TRACE=true
export SRVM_TACE_LEVEL=2Regards. -
Hi,
I am trying to install "System Center 2012 - Virtual Machine Manager by Using a Pre-Configured VHD".
I downloaded install guide & the binaries from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=10712
I have followed the installation document & getting an error while configuring VMM for System Center 2012.
error details from log file given below:

I have completed MSSQL server configuration and while configuring VMM the below error displayed in the wizard:
An internal error has occurred trying to contact an agent on the WIN-NTJTNEJ1UCN.mydomain.com server: : .
Ensure the agent is installed and running. Ensure the WS-Management service is installed and running, then restart the agent.
I have checked that the following services are running:
1) Verified WS-Management srvice 2) MSSQL server + MSSQL (agent) 3)SC VM Manager Agent 4) Windows management instrumentation .
I have joined the VM (on which installing SC VMM) in a domain(as per install guide) and installing VMM using domain account & it is in local Administrators group.
Also I would like know if there is any stand alone SC VMM installer. If yes then please let me know the installer location & install guide.
thanks.

Error (2912)
An internal error has occurred trying to contact the SCVMM01.dom.local server: NO_PARAM: NO_PARAM.
WinRM: URL: [http://SCVMM01:5985], Verb: [INVOKE], Method: [GetError], Resource: [http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/microsoft/bits/BitsClientJob?JobId={A210B91B-3239-4347-B251-83E1555356A2}]
Unknown error (0x80072f0d)
Recommended Action
Check that WS-Management service is installed and running on server SCVMM01.dom.local. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult". If SCVMM01.dom.localis a host/library/update server or a PXE server role then ensure that VMM agent is installed and running. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 for more details.
When we want to create a template of a virtual machine, we receive the following error. The environment has the following components and servers:
* Windows Server 2012 R2 U1 with Hyper-V role enabled
* High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 RU2 (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
* High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 Library servers (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
There're a few things I've already checked:
* Self-signed certificates in the Trusted People store --> OK
* Windows Firewall turn off --> OK
* Re-added a Hyper-V host to the SCVMM environment
* Reboot the VMM servers and the library servers
* Export port usage and conflicts with netstat -a -b --> OK, no conflicts
* Free disk space on the VMM library servers --> OK
The job is starts fine, but step 1.2 "Store virtual machine W2012R2TMPL from HV01 to CLSCVMMLIB01" Failed. So it looks like the sysprep fase is going well. When VMM is trying to store the virtual machine in the library, it fails.
Who is familar with this issue and can help me find a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!!

Can anyone tell me what may be going on? Yesterday I had configured channel bonding for network interfaces. Did firmware update on RAID adapter and updated linux packages including kernel. Going to old kernel didn't help. I tried restarting processes, that also didn't help.Aerosmith wrote:

Acrobat Reader X "An Internal Error Has Occurred"
I have a Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit machine running Acrobat Reader X. Both the machine and Reader are updated with the latest patches.
The primary user on the machine can use the program. A second (also an administrator) user on the same machine gets the error "an internal error has occurred" and reader fails to start.
I have since tracked this down to: if "Enabled Protected Mode at startup" is enabled you get this error. If it is disabled you do not.
How I got there: I used compatibility mode set to "Windows XP SP3" to launch the program, which caused protected mode to fail (but not bomb the program). Once I was into the program I disabled protected mode, turned compatibility mode off, and now it works.
Turn protected mode back on and BAM you get the error next time you launch the program.Good day Andre,
Try to run a permissions repair on your hard drive (Disk Utility).
If that doesn't resolve the issue, try updating Acrobat X to 10.1.2 by downloading and installing the update from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh
Let us know how it goes!
Kind regards,
David -

mbpakalin.netOne thing that smells a little funny: VC6 didn't have a mutex header. Did you add std::mutex stuff as part of your porting process? If not, it is possible that the project itself has a #include <mutex> that is now resolving to the
standard library version of mutex, but was resolving to a project file in VC6. -

i think there is a problem with the secure of the Agent<->OMS.
go to $agent_home/agent_inst/
execute ./emctl unsecure agent
after this
execute ./emctl secure agent (insert the OMS Secure PW by prompt for PW)
now the agent must work.

All of a sudden when I try to export images from LR to my HD...I get the following error
Unable to Export:
An internal error has occurred ?:0 atempt to index a nil value. What does this mean? How do I fix?Hi,
Same problem here. I am trying to export files from RAW format to JPEG. I am setting the output size to 2000k. I get the error message:
Attempt to index a nil value
The behavior is a bit random. If I export a large number of photos, some will work some won't. If I retry a picture that failed, it sometimes works or keeps failing. The input images are fairly similar in sizes.
In some cases, there is no error message but the new reduced-size image is not created.
Computer:
Windows 7 Professional
Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB of memory
Hard-drive: 1 TB, about 700 GB free.
Lightroom version 5.5
Camera Raw 8.5
This export operation was working previously (i.e., previous version of LR). I installed the 5.5 version on June 28 2014. The bug is probably in the new version of LR.

LDAP configuration - An internal error has occurred in the secLdap plug-in
Hi,
I am trying to configure my BOE to a LDAP (Microsoft Active Directory Application).
After completing all the configuration steps, I get the following error:
"An internal error has occurred in the secLdap plug-in"
I chose "No SSL" and "No SSO" and used all the default values in the "Please configure how new LDAP users and aliases are created by BusinessObjects Enterprise" screen.
Can someone assist?

Hi;
I have upgrade R12.0.4 to R12.0.6 on linux system.
But it seems running slower than before, and when running the request "Create Accounting", I encontered an error as follow:
"An internal error occurred. Please inform your system administrator or support representative that:
An internal error has occurred in the program xla_accounting_engine_pkg.RunPAD."
I tried to solve the problem, followed the metalink note 466074.1, but It did not work:

Is anyone know how i can do now?
Thanks

Did the concurrent program 'Validate Application Accounting Definitions' complete successfully? If yes, I suggest you enable FND debug to collect more details about the error.
