Collection are not working with files accessed from DAM via AdobeDrive
Hi,
I've tried to use "Collection" in Bridge to store some "favorites" assets from my repository.
This repository is managed by AEM 5.6.1 and mounted on the desktop by AdobeDrive.
If i'm able to place local files in the collection, the files from the repository aren't allowed...
In the other hand, in AEM, via the WebBrowser you are able to select several files and gather them in a "Collection" and share it to make it visible to other dam_users...
But this collection is not shown or accessible by Bridge neither....
This happen on Mac an PC
This repository is managed by AEM 5.6.1 and mounted on the desktop by AdobeDrive.
Maybe you can drop this problem in the dedicated Adobe Drive forum?
http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/adobe_drive?view=discussions&start=0&numR esults=30
this is a very specialistic matter you are describing and not may users (if at all) here have access to the Adobe Drive that is not part of the Creative Cloud package subscription.
It seems like you are using a very sophisticated network with both Mac and PC.
I also had to look up AEM that seems Adobe Experience Manager. Also a very specialized application.
While Adobe claims a seamless integration of CC with Adobe Drive, Bridge itself is not designed (nor supported) for use over a network. Collections are by default aliases of the originals and stored on user based libraries. They should be able to read form different drives and even networks (with great care) but sharing a collection is to my knowledge only possible by manual distributing the collection file saved on the creators computer. Not sure if other stations could use this same file without problems but in theory they should provide the path to the originals, but that is theory...

Hello SavannahSweetie,
I was looking into the issue you are desribing, and found a great article for troubleshooting wifi connections with iOS devices. It's called iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398.
Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware. For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
All the best,

ADF bindings are not working with inheritance heirarchy.
ADF bindings are not working with inheritance heirarchy. I am using embedded OC4J in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.
For the data model I have the following objects\attributes.
1) User (abstract EJB 3.0 POJO)
- Id
- userId
- userName
2) Employee -> extends User (EJB 3.0 POJO)
- enabled
- password
3) Manager -> extends Employee (EJB 3.0 POJO)
- numOfEmployees
4) UserSessionBean (Stateless Session Bean)
- public User findUserByUserId(String userId)
- public List<User> queryUserFindAll()
- Object mergeEntity(Object entity)
I created 2 JSF pages using ADF.
1) ListUsers.jspx - Lists all the users of type Employee and Manager in a table. You can select an user and chose to modify the user details using a modify button.
2) ModifyUser.jspx - Modify the selected user and persist the modified user details.
I implemented ListUsers.jspx by dragging and dropping queryUserFindAll() method from the ADF datacontrol on to the JSF page and selected ADF Table format with selection enabled.
Similarly for the ModifyUser.jspx page I dragged and dropped the User object returned by findUserByUserId(String userId) and selected ADF Form format. I selected OutputText field types for userId and userName.
I then created a navigation case from ListUsers.jspx to ModifyUser.jspx and pass the selected user.
Now when I try to run the web application, ListUsers.jspx correctly displays all the users. Then I select a user of type Employee and click on the modify button. This brings up the ModifyUser.jspx page. However, the UserId text field displays the value for "Id" field rather than "userId".
Question that I have is:
- Why is ADF framework not able to retrieve the appropriate user attribute value for a Employee based on the binding information in case of inheritance ?
Thanks,
PiyushHi,
tried with JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 and this works for me. Try JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 - if it doesn't work, have a closer look at your sessionFacade

AcroPDF ActiveX print functions are not working with Reader 9.2/9.3. Tried ActiveX print functions like printPages(), printAll(), printWithDialog(), none of them is working. Tried on platforms: XP 32 bit and Win7 32 bit. These print functions all work fine with Adobe Reader 9.1.0. or 8.2.0 or 8.1.0 on XP 32 bit or Win7 32 bit.
The way I have my setup: I have created a C/C++ project with AcroPDF MFC ActiveX classes. I have created an AcroPDF object in there, and then calling it's LoadFile() function passing a pdf file in the parameter. Then calling the printPages() or printAll() function. With Adobe Reader 9.1.0. or 8.2.0 or 8.1.0, printing is starting through the default printer without any problem. As soon as I update the reader version to 9.2 or more, the same code stops working.
Is anybody noticing any similar issue? Any info on this will be highly appreciated. Thank you!Unfortunately printWithDialog() is also not working. Actually none of the print functions like Print(), printWithDialog(), printPages(), printPagesFit(), printAll(), printAllFit() are working. All of them works fine though with older reader.
BTW, what security related changes are there for printPages() and printAll()? Can you please elaborate on that? Is there any workaround? -

Playback preferences are not working with 10.5. solution?
I downloaded iTunes 10.5 and my playback preferences are not working. For example, crossfade is screwy. Sometimes it will fade out at the end of a song, but the next song will not come in until the end, or the next song will come in WAY too early. Sound enhancement is also doing nothing. These all worked fine before the update. Has anyone else encountered this?
I too am having problems with crossfade since installing iTunes 10.5 where mostly it is just fading the end of the song.. when set to a 6 second crossfade it is just fading the last 20 seconds and still waiting till the song ends before starting the new song & i've also noted that sometimes a new song will begin when there is in excess of 20 seconds left of the previous song remianing.. hence, it sounds rediculous. i've tried uninstalling & re-installing but no fix. please help anyone..

I upgraded to the new firefox. I have a lap top with vista windows.
Norton Login does not work with this version. Can you please explain to me how to fix this problem. Much preferred the last version of firefox. You need an update from Norton, which Norton says will be ready in May.

Gcc not working with compiled glibc from PKGBUILD
hello folks, please excuse my english
i like to compile certain parts of my system, between them are the kernel, glibc , zsh, etc.
i had noticed that using a compiled version of glibc from abs results in gcc not working at all ( C compiler cannot create executables logs says). this is weird especially because i hadn't had problems before, i have looked for the error mesagges on Google and a lot of people has had this problem but nobody has a "generic" solution for this
this is the config.log file from one failed compile of mpg123
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
It was created by mpg123 configure 1.12.3, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.65. Invocation command line was

You have stripped glibc too much. See the Arch PKGBUILD and make sure your makepkg.conf has STRIP_BINARY etc defined. -
Nik Collection does not work with Photoshop CC 64-bit but with 32-bit
Hi,
though the Nik-Collection-Filters are listed (and installed) in PS CC 64, they do not work properly. The first visible difference is, that the "panel" of the various filters is not displayed when I start PS, but it is in the 32 bit version.
Even if I want to apply an Nik-Filter on an image nothing changes, but it does in 32 bit mode.
Is there a solution for this problem?
Thanks!Hello, I found a Post. I tried this and it works perfectly, you don't have to re-install CC or install CS6 all you have to do is that you install the Nik Collection in Photoshop CC (32bit) (plug ins) then you copy the "Google" File and that is the important one !!
into:
Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Panels\ ...........
it works perfectly.

Button Actions are not working -invoking task flow from other project regio
Hi
I have a project using a mani.jspx file having a regions and the region is updated with different views based on a router condition in my bounded task flow. Everything working fine with in the project. I have a seperate project in my application having an index.jspx and region in it. I created the ADF lib jar file of the first project and imported to this project. I could invoke the task flow in the first project to the region in the index.jspx file in the seconed project. But none of the action managed bean method attached to the buttons in this view are working. The methods are not getting called on clicking on button and no error in the backend console of Integrated weblogic server.Any body can help what could be the issue ?
Thanks
SuneeshThe issue that is happening when I refreshed the region with task flow from the project I imported. If I load the taskflow from the imported project on first time rendering all my managed bean actions are executing but if I load a different flow initially and change the taskflow Id imported from other project none of the managed actions are working.
Thanks

Safari 5.05 does not work with OWA access to Exchange 2010
When I connect to my work OWA for access to MS Exchange e-mails I can authenticate but then 9 times out of 10 Safari goes into a loop of loading and re-authenticating from which it never recovers. Occasionally the page loads normally and operates without any problems but this is rare.
The inbox homepage page eventually loads but with errors and is not usable, re-loading normally causes the same loop of trying to load the main inbox page then back to authentication and around again.
Safari has a "reader" icon in the address bar which seems odd to me but otherwise all appears normal.
I have tried clearing the cache, removing cookies, reseting safari etc but nothing seems to clear the issue. I also have firefox for mac which has a similar issue with loading the site however, PC based users using IE have no such issues connecting?
Any ideas?

You are trying to access MS Exchange web based email whose priority is most likely IE (Microsoft), not Safari or Firefox.
Information for Safari reader here. http://www.apple.com/safari/whats-new.html
You can try this...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu then click User Agent. Try IE 8. Then try accessing MS Exchange.

DNG Profile Editor not working with new Profiles from LR 3.6?
I'm noticing that DNG Profile Editor is not really able to work with profiles from newly supported cameras, like the X10. Apparently the profile spec has been updated. Has DNG Profile Editor been abandoned or will it be updated to work with the new spec? I really hope it is!
Thanks. I am looking forward to editing the v4 profiles for the D700 - I just want to change a few colors in the existing profiles. I think the existing v4 profiles do an excellent job of matching the Nikon colors, but I don't like a few of the Nikon colors. Some colors have too much Red, but Red is too Orange.
I have selected a number of images that have colors I want to change. I selected the Camera Neutral (v0) and Camera Portrait (v0) and using the latest DNG Profile Editor I select the 18 colors from the Color Checker Chart. I then use the images that have the colors I want to change and determine which of the 18 points I selected from the Color Checker are close. I then edit those points - only 6 points. I only need to change the Hue by 5 units or less. I don't change any of the other selected points of the Color Checker, but feel that by selecting them I locked in the exisiting colors. Hope this is a good aproach.
I wish Nikon would do something equivalent to the DNG Profile Editor for their Picture Control profiles so they could be edited and loaded into the camera. -
Youtube and BBC iPlayer are not working with Flash
Hi there Guys,
When I started this search I had a full head of hair :( I have read hundreds and houndreds of webpages talking about Flash and FireFox and at this point I just can't get them to work together.
I am very reluctant to change my browser as to be honest with you I love Firefox but at this point I am in desperation. I have read webpages which they remove this plug-in and that plug-in, change databases, remove this file and delete that file, called this old and remove that. And still nothing happens it just does not work.
The version of Firefox I am running 35.0.1
the version of Flash I am writing is 16.0.0.305
but every time I try to visit YouTube and/or the BBC's website nothing works HELP!!!!
I would really just do not know what to do.
Thank you for reading and I hope somebody can help.
JohnStart Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Do I have to pay $299 for a DUNS number? Why won't the $49 version work?
I'm trying to register as a company to build a for-profit application and launch it in the iStore. It says I have to apply for a DUNS number which is fine, I understand about building business credit and establishing ourselves as a reputable entity.
