Collection Editor Change not applies

Now that I have finally got the Zen 7.0 Asset Management Program to
install and run, I am having issues with the Collections Editor.
Firstly, I have set it to only display 6 workstation fields on the popup
user grid. This took a couple of hours to kick in. Before it just
displayed all 4 tabs with all default fields.
I then removed another field. Rebooted the asset-inventory server,
rebooted my PC, manually forced a scan. However it still brings up 6
fields instead of 5 and whatever I do I can't get rid of this extra field.
Why is this?

The system worked fine for a few months initially then suddenly stopped.
The database somehow got deleted. Problems started when trying to
re-install, but the initial installation issues I had were due a corrupt
installation directory which I think I had copied from the CD onto the
network. Re-installation from the CD went through fine. Before I did a
clean re-install, everything was removed through Add/Remove Programs
including Tomcat. ODBC entry removed through Data Sources (ODBC).
Database and user ID's then deleted through Enterprise Server. Remains of
Tally Systems entry in registry deleted as not removed completely through
uninstalls. C:Program FilesNovellZENworksAsset Management directory
deleted too, as not removed completely through uninstalls. Every further
re-install ran through fine with no errors, it was just this Web Console
Pasword issue I was stuck with for a while, which was simply resolved by
typing in a shorter password with only alphabetical characters.
The inventory now runs fine, with virtually all devices with the ZAM
client installed scanning no probelms. Database being populated no
probelms. It's only the collection editor that isn't running during the
scheduled scans. Funnily enough, it did actually run as scheduled on one
users PC out of over 100!
I applied some changes to the collction editor grid last Friday am week
and they took a couple of hours to kick in. Applied another change only
to remove 1 field last Friday pm and the change has still not been applied
this morning.
Have created loads of reports and they run fine. Reporting side of things
is great. Everything else seems OK. Just the collection editor.

Metadata changes not applied to all selected images

I am having 2 problems.
When I am in lightroom's library (3.5), I would like to change the time of capture for multiple photos, and apply keywords.
However, when I perform either of those actions, the changes are only applied to the image shown in the "more brightly highlighted" image, not all that are selected.
Is there a setting I am missing? I just cannot seem to figure out why this is not working.
Also, I aplogize if my searching skills are weak and this has been covered already. I did attempt to see if this question has been answered before posting.

You need to be in Grid view to apply metadata to all selected images, otherwise LR will only apply it to the image shown in the main area. Alternatively, you can swith on AutoSync in Library.

Apply Disk Utility Partition Changes not Applying

Hey Folks
I've a 2013 iMac with a 3TB Fusion Drive - Currently the HDD is split 2.48 TB as the primary HD - and 521 GB as FreeSpace.
What I want to do is format this 521 GB section for Windows Bootcamp - The Bootcamp Utility created this split in the first place; but after sitting for 5 hrs it appeared to feeze mid-process and after checking for advice online; I reluctantly force-quit the utility. Next I attempted formatting this HD section in Disk Utlity as MS-DOS (FAT) but when I choose Apply - and click Partition - absolutely nothing happens - and no changes take place.
When I re-open Bootcamp Utility - it's seemingly unaware of this 521GB of Free-space and only sees the primary Partition; which I do not want to further split up - remember it's Bootcamp stalling in the middle of the partition process that caused this mess in the first place.
I've also tried booting form the Windows 7 Disk to reformat and Partition this Free-space - but the installer just spits back the message that the partition is GPT and Windows 7 requires NTFS. So next - I bought and installed Camptune X - which now adds the NT file-system formats directly into Disk Utility but since I cannot 'Apply' these changes - it makes no difference whatsoever.
To troubleshoot - I've already repaired my HD permissions, and repaired the drives, booted into recovery mode - done the same steps - but am now at a totally loss what else I can do to successfully create a Windows Partition - if Disk Utility simply won't Apply any of the changes I select.
Any suggestions or advice yourselves could give me would be hugely appreciated.

Still no luck - I've now tried using iPartition to add a new Windows formatted Partition in the area that is currently designated 'Free Space' and I get this error message.
"iPartition was unable to get write access to the device .... This may mean the device is write protected, that you do not have permission to access it, or that it is in use by something else. "
Does this mean I can unlock the write access through a command in the terminal and return to Disk Utility or indeed iPartition to add the Windows Partition I need?
Some advice would be hugely appreciated.

Template changes not applying in Edit Region

I created a template - 3 tables - the top & bottom table
are NOT editable regions. The middle table IS in an editable
region. On the template I changed the table in the middle region -
changed the background color, deleted a cell, added a picture
placeholder, etc. Also on the template I made changes to the top
& bottom tables. When I saved the template it asked if I wanted
to change all the pages that use this template - I said yes. But
only the changes made to the sections NOT in the editable region
update!!!
Sidenote: I took a Dreamweaver class in August 2006 (fab!)
but went and had a baby and am now FINALLY sitting down to develop
a few new sites. Prior to that I was a self-taught FrontPage user
(ugh). Point is: I'm a novice Dreamweaver user (and rusty no less!)
so forgive me if I'm missing something REAL basic here!

No, changing the EDITABLE regions in the child pages would
defeat the
point of a template.
Look at it this way. The template manages all the stuff that
is NOT
in the editable regions. You put the site header, footer,
navigation,
sidebar, whatever doesn't change, into the areas that are NOT
editable.
The editable region sits as a container on each child page to
hold the
stuff that is unique to the page.
If you changed that container in the template and the change
propagated down to the child pages, you would immediately and
permanently LOSE ALL YOUR UNIQUE PAGE CONTENT.
However, if you were using CSS to style everything, then all
you would
have to do is change the colour in the CSS file - and no
matter where
the targeted piece is, it would reflect the change.

Web Mail changes not applying with Blackberry

I'm using BIS & BES Mail accounts with Blackberry Curve 8520 ( Blackberry OS version is 5.0.0.1036 ) . BES Email is working perfectly. with BIS I've configured my Live Mail account. ( [email protected] ) . I can send & receive the Mails thorugh Blackberry as well. But Some times I"m accessing my Live mail from Web Broweser also. then I'm doing delete , read & file some emails. But it is not effect / Sync with BlackBerry. still it is show in INBOX & show as Unread. it is very diffiuclt to maintain.
I tried with reconfigure it thorugh BIS Protal & resent Service Books as well. but it doesn't success.
Please give a solutuion .

I have noticed something similar for which I have created service request 3-1764420131 ,
which resulted in bug 9740870 , "CODE STYLE USE TAB CHARACTER ISSUE"
for which "... We are waiting for the review process of the bug to be completed. ... "
So, if you can create your own service request (at http://support.oracle.com ) and refer to bug 9740870 that might speed things up.

Any changes on SCCM console not applied

Hello,
We have stand-alone primary site based on System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, suddenly I notice that any changes occur in console is not applied for example I change local admin password in task sequence, remove computer from specific collection
but no changes applied.
Plus on System status I didn't found any component monitor.
I notice that backup SQL maintenance task was stopped because Symantec net backup client was installed, after removing the client I could initiate SQL backup by starting the service.
Anyone receive such issue ?
I'm going to check SQL, because it's look like changes are not stored in database, maybe SQL logs are full or something like that, if any one have an idea please share it with me.

Actually I found errors in smsdbmon.log files such as
Failed to connect to the SQL server, connection type: SMS ACCESS
A network-Related or instance-specific error had occurred while establish a connection to SQL server. Server is not found or not Accessible.... etc
SQL installed with the same server.
I checked services and found that SMS_EXCUTIVE was running under local account and status is "Stopping" I change the account to Site admin account then restart and everything is working fine.

Changes are not applying

I have made a couple of changes to a movie and they are not applying in the canvas.
EG - I have changed the colour of some text that appears. The preview icon on the clip in the timeline has changed the colour of the text, the preview in the viewer has changed, but the canvas hasnt. Also it isnt asking me to render which it usually would.

You can quickly force a render by lowering, then raising the opacity of the clip. There are also more involved/complex ways to replace a render.

i have moved the RPD and catalog file to UAT there i got few changes
i did the changes in DVE and again i moved the changed reports to UAT ,but the report changes are not applied in UAT
so i again i copied same RPD and catalog to UAT now it is working fine,
why the changes are not applied to the reports that i have moved to UAT
is it mandatory to move RPD and catalog to the other environment ??

if you change even the filters and column names you cant modify only reports and place them in UAT,if you want to cnahge that way there is a tool CAF follow this link how to do that process

Template Changes Do Not Apply Globally

I am having issues with Templates.
I have setup editable regions and saved my pages as
templates, etc but nothing seems to work.
How do I make changes to editable regions and have those
changes apply globally throughout my pages which all have the same
editable regions?
Also, when I open a new page from the templates I saved, it
only allows changes to the editable regions??? What gives? Isn't
the whole point of opneing up "new from template"
to create a new pages which shares the same editable
regions?

This is the wrong way to use templates.
To use templates, you must spawn a child from the template
using FILE | New
from Template...
This will create a page that no longer contains "Template"
markup, but
instead contains "Instance" markup so that DW can tell what

editable/non-editable regions.

Of course, because you still have not understood how
templates work. They
have NO function on the server. They only work INSIDE of DW
to change your
local files. It's the changed local files that must be PUT to
the server,
NOT the template.

Why when i make changes to songs in my itunes library and then sync, the changes do not apply on my ipod?

When i go to edit songs in my library, like changing the artists name or album, i then click sync and look on my ipod and the changes have not applied. I tried clicking the manage music manually box and to edit the songs manually from my ipod and still when i edit them and make changes on my actual ipod the songs are still the same. Any help?

I have tried everything I have read on the Internet about sync issues and restore etc and not there isn't a single song on my iPad or iPod touch. All of the songs are listed in my iTunes but are all greyed out, some have the cloud symbol next to them but lots don't and some say waiting.

Editor Mode not found to change the property of J2EE Configuration in NWA

I have worked on an issue where an end user asked me to configure changes in NWA.But I did not find the editor mode.I tried all the buttons in the page of NetWeaver Administrator -> Configuration.But I could not change the customized value.Tried all possible means.Later logged into Config Tool and made the changes in Configuration Adapter successfully.Restarted the cluster later.
Why couldn't I change the value of property in NWA? Where do I see the configuration editor mode in NWA?Please help.

As per my information,
NWA is a tool under developement by SAP (for the full fledged functionality)
Till now it is valid for use to Monitor the SAP system (similar to CCMS), next is you can administrate the Java process and services (that is you can start and stop them).
WE can monitor the SAP ABAP & JAVA Stack as well as Java components...
We can also do User Management via NWA.
And also the CTC configuration using NWA.
<b>But changing certain parameter or acting as an editor is NOT YET supported by NWA tool.</b>

After server target is changed via group policy, when user login (roaming profile)first time, the the new server target has not been applied, instead it's pointing to the old folder redirection path.
But if we reset the windows profile (roaming ), the new folder redirection works, can you please specify a solutions that the new folder redirection works when the user login for the first time. so it reduce the time on resetting users profile.
it seems that we need to delete the old folder redirection path from the user profile (roaming user profile) via group policy or similar solutions..

Yes - if you change redirection targets, FR moves content from old to
new, and only if this ends sucessfully, it will update the redirection
target.
Make the old redirection target accessible to the user and you'll be fine.

I have run into this problem before, although rarely, with some other files over the years and with earlier versions of CS. I would like to know how to overcome this problem?

Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.

Changed column order not applied to interactive report

I've changed column order for interactive report.
But it is not applied.

Hi Guy
It depends on where you have changed the column order. If you change the column order using the 'Select Columns' function when you click on the 'Wheel of Magic', then it should work.
If you are changing the column order from the Interactive Reports Attributes page then this will only affect the column order for non displayed items and the single row view.
