Collection of systems with no configured boundaries

Hello, I have systems in our console that are not in configured boundaries because other teams have installed SCCM agents. So I need a query to exclude all systems NOT within configured boundaries.
Any thoughts?

Can you add more detail..
As per my understanding you have other teams' systems in SCCM console (which means they are not assigned / managed by your SCCM server). In that case, you have to check the Discovery methods under Site Management on the SCCM console. See if the Active Directory
System Group discovery and Active Directory System discovery are added with the OUs of those other team machines.
Specify only those groups that you use with Configuration Manager. You can edit/remove the other teams' OUs from the discovery methods.. If required you may have to work with the AD team if you like to bifurcate your teams' clients and other teams' clients
to different OUs.

  • Connect to R/3 systems with different XI systems

    Hi all,
    I have the next scenario:
    R/3 system A --> XI system A --> Other systems
    R/3 system B --> XI system B --> Other systems
Both systems have different SLD system.
And I need create an IDOC interface between both R/3 systems.
    Could somebody help me?
Can I send and IDOC to a XI system with only configure a RFC connection (SM59) or I need configure it in SLD?
    Regards, Raú

    Hey
are u suppose to do an IDOC(R/3 system A)-Xi-IDOC(R/3 system B) scenario,of u have to collect IDOC's from both the R/3 systems and send it to a single file?
in any case u have to maintain separate Business system and logical system name for both R/3 systems

  • Detall with the configuration in cluster of my system PI

    Hello people
We have  installed PI in cluster of microsoft 2003 and one application server with  this configuration, sometimes presents  problem with interfaces with status http_status_not_ok and with the load of the interfaces is slow.
We tested a system with cofiguration standalone and the performance is better and the errors is not presented.
We have thought change the configuration of my system PI to standalone and  having two servers PI productive with balanced of load.
The two servers  will have all interfaces, but not all active, in case of failure of server , in the other server is activated the interfaces.
We investigated with other companies that have a PI and the comment is that your PI is standalone.
    I hope your comments.

  • How to configure R/3 System with Load Balancing?

    Hello,
I've created a Web DynPro Application and I would like to case an iView on  it. According to SAP tutorials I first need to configure an R/3 System with Load Balancing.
My problem is how to configure the "WAS Host Name".
    According to the tutorial:
WAS Host Name = <host>.<domain>:port (this corresponds to the Web Dynpro server location and the port on which it is running eg. PXYZ.wdf.sap.corp:50000.)
I am using NW 04 and my portal is running on this address:
    http://ep6sp9test:50000/irj/portal
When I set the WAS Host Name to ep6sp9test:50000 the Test connection fails (I have privildges and created an alias and User mapping). What should I put at this field then?

    Hi
I think you have to specify the HTTP port og the WAS running the R/3 system. The 50000 port is the HTTP port of your portal - not the R/3 system.  You can see the HTTP port of the R/3 system using transactioncode SMICM - services in the R/3 system.

  • Creating a new DEV system with the QAS configuration

    Hi there,
We're planning to have a contingency server and then, a new server has been bought and will be a new DEV system.
We would like to have a copy of our QAS system (but only configuration) so that we can create the DEV system.
What could be a good plan for that?!
I thought exporting the QAS client and after restoring the backup of DEV system into the new server, importing the QAS client.
    Is there any other idea?!
    Thanks so much in advance,
    Dany Anderson

    Hello
You can install the new system refresh with Dev data and import the custom settings of QAS.
I hope already whatever is in QAS should be also in DEV in fact more than QAS data.

  • STMS Configuration - Change Virtual System with Real System

    Dear all,
My system, if I go in the transaction STMS in DEV system, was configureted in the following way:
DEV => QA => PROD (Virtual System)
Now, I want to change the PROD Virtual System in PROD Real System.
    How Can procede?
Can you explain step-by-step the process?
Because the system was configureted from other people, and I'm new to using the STMS.
Thanks in advanced for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Giulio

    Hi,
After the planned system is physically installed it is time to replace the Virtual System with the realized system.
The procedure for the same is as under:
    1) Delete the Virtual System from the transport domain
. Login into Transport Domain system client 000
    · Using STMS got to Overview=> Systems
    · Chose SAP Virtual System=> Delete (confirm)
    · Distribute configuration change.
As soon as the configuration change is distributed, the virtual system is deleted. The import queue for this system in TMS disappears but it is available as import buffer at the operating systems level.
Now add the new (physical system) to the transport domain:
If STMS is configured as standalone system then first delete STMS configuration on PRD system
login into PRD system client 000. (delete STMS configuration if present.)
run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)
Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of transport domain system)
System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of transport domain system)
    Now,
Go to the Transport Domain Controller and accept the system. (As the import buffer is available at the    operating system level, no change requests will be lost)
    Distribute the configuration changes.
    regards,

  • Configuring an online shop / payment system with Muse / BC

I am trying to configure an online shop and integrate it with a Muse site.
I am going to try and keep this short and to the point. The client sells therapy, hour slots of either Acupuncture, Chiropractor, Holistic medicine etc, they want the following system on their site.
Customers browse available therapies on a website > They select date >  they select a time slot > they pay for a booking.
At first I looked at the events booking system with BC, but this didn’t work, I couldn’t work out how to configure the events booking module to have time slots. Plus a Calendar / date picker is useless as the individual therapists work very specific hours / days from month to month.
There is third party time slot booking software, but it’s very price, and only a few offer free trial (I need to see how it will integrate with a Muse site first).
Then I though SHOPPING CART!!! For instance the variables I have can easily be interchanged, for size / colour etc.
    For example:
    CATALOG: List of various therapies
    PRODUCT: Acupuncture (for example)
    ATTRIBUTE: February 28th (example)
OPTION: Drop down time slots available - 9am - 10am
    PAYMENT!
I tried to configure this with BC at first (I’ve never used it) and at first I found it a little complex. Then I found Ecwid, they are brilliant, you sign up for a free account, you build the shop online then Ecwid generates the code and you simply copy and embed it within Muse. Its beautiful. Sadly to be able to use the product variation (different times slots ensuring only one is in stock) you need to upgrade to a Business account, with is quite expensive.
So I have gone back to BC. I am slowly making progress, setting up the shop and integrating it with Muse, but I’m new to BC and my progress is slow. As much as I see the value and validity in learning BC I am faced with derogatory comments on the BC forum. I’ll be honest I have tried to ask advice a couple of times with BC or with reference to it, and it’s as if as soon you mention you use MUSE it is assumed you must be an idiot. One comment referred to us as the “Muse generation - point and click”. I am learning BC, I’ve been on it two weeks, I am getting there, but the client is paying peanuts for this site (I should have re-negotiated) and MOST IMPORTANTLY I am also beginning to think that the clients are going to struggle using the BC interface to populate their product list.
    To summise:
I need an online ‘plug and play’ shopping cart for a Muse website, that my client can understand? They will be frightened by BC
Can anyone recommend a solution that can be configured as above?
BTW: Just becuase I work with Muse, I'm still allowed to play with the Big boys toys ;-)

    Hi Irene,
I did and I didn't. I gave up on BC as I really didn't think the client would be able to cope with the administration of it. But I did find a great plug in system called Booking Bug. You do have to pay a subscription for it (but there is a free trial), but it's a simple product, effective too. You build it online, it generates the html code for you and you jsut insert it in the relevant position on the relevant page.
I do believe that as a designer who enjoys working with Muse, it's worth getting to know Business Catalyst inside out. Muse lacks some powerful tools that some of the other systems (Wordpress etc) seem to benefit from. However it's all there in BC, it's just going to take me sometime to get to know it.
But I can recommend Booking Bug.

    1. Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, go to Step 2.
If there's no change after taking this step, continue.
    2. Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /var/folders
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "folders" selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Windows 8.1 system with new Office 2013 install not pulling down any Office 2013 updates from my SCCM 2012 SP1 server

    Hi,
I've just setup a new Windows 8.1 system and added to my SCCM 2012 SP1 server and all is good and it pulled down all the correct Windows updates and pulls down automatically the FEP updates that are distributed from SCCM 2012 daily.
I just installed Office 2013 on this system and have activated it as necessary.  The problem is that the system doesn't seem to be pulling down any of the Office 2013 updates that have distributed thru SCCM.  I have other systems with
Office 2013 installed and they have pulled down Office 2013 updates in the past when I published them.
If I look at the Office 2013 updates in the SCCM console software section, I can see that for example it shows that Office 2013 SP1 (x86) is needed by one system and installed on 8 other systems and shows as downloaded and deployed.
I've restarted the new system multiple times and also tried to force a software update check from the Configuration Manager applet but nothing seems to happen.
What can I check to try and determine what the problem is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

Yes, the 8.1 system is a member of collection where the update deployment is targeted.
Are there any specific logs I should check in the client?  If I check the WindowsUpdate.log I can see messages about the machine pulling down the FEP updates but that's all it appears to be doing.
in CCM\logs, focus on the updatehandler and updatedeployment, to begin with

  • Integrating MDMP and Unicode systems with IDoc interfaces

    Hi,
We are working on integrating SAP R/3 6.20 (MDMP) with SAP PI 7.0  SP10 (Unicode) system.  The source will send MATMAS or CLFMAS IDocs with Thai / Japanese characters and PI should transform and post it to SAP ECC 5.0 Target system [IDoc to IDoc scenario].
    ( SAP R/3 Legacy 620 - Non-Unicode / MDMP ) |---->  ( XI  - Unicode) ->  (ECC - Unicode)
Had a look at few SAP notes (745030 ,656350 and 613389)  and it looks like there is no standard way/best practice to handle this scenario.
    References:
1.PDF of TECHED Session ID: IM101 Dealing with Multi-Language Garbage?Data – Lessons Learned
    2.SAP Note 745030 - MDMP - Unicode Interface_Solution Overview.pdf

4.SAP Note 656350 - Master Data Transfer UNICODE to MDMP Systems with ALE.pdf
5.SAP Note 613389 - ALE SAP system group with Unicode systems (Solution-2)
My understanding per SAP Notes: (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
    a. For MDMP integraton we can't use Standard ALE Config instead we have to use Custom Configuration (IDoc collection setting in Partner profile &Scheduling  RSEOUT002/RSEOUT00_MDMP and use Function module :IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS_2 ).
    b. The RFC Destinations should use proper logon langauage for correct MDMP IDoc transfer (For sending IDocs with Japanese character, the logon language should be JP).
    c. If we want to transfer IDocs in more than one language we need to create multiple Partner profiles/RFC destinations each with specific logon language.
Please guide us in integrating these systems if you have done a similar integrations, following are my questions:
1] Is there any configuration change required at PI layer?
2] Do we need to install codepages in PI Unicode system for all languages used or Unicode system is capable of handling all the languages?
3] Is it necessary to install any SAP Add-on package in R/3 MDMP system inorder to support MDMP to Unicode data transfer?
3] If we want to send MATMAS/CLFMAS IDoc with Thai/Japanese characters from same system, what are the changes required at the Source system?
(Source may send MATMAS/CLFMAS IDoc with either Thai/Japanese characters but not both of them in a single IDoc)
4] Can we use regualr ALE & Partner profile settings for handling multi-byte characters or we need to use IDoc collection and RSEOUT002/RSEOUT00_MDMP report for transfer?
5] Is there any restrictions on the IDoc types (MATMAS,CLFMAS etc) supported in MDMP-Unicode integration solution.
5] Is there any best practice document available for this scenario?
6] Do we need to involve SAP AG for MDMP to Unicode system integrations(As per SAP Note: 656350) ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ananth

    Hi Ananth,
as you have already mentioned, you need differents RFC destinations for each language. So you have to make sure, that the IDocs use the right destination according to there content.
If you have messages from PI to MDMP it is the same, you need different channels with different logon languages as well. You need an identifier in the message, that can be used for selecting the correct channel.
It should not be a restricting to any IDoc type, but it is not possible to post a message with different languages (which require different codepages) in one IDoc.
For correct conversion from a non unicode system to unicode, the codepages have to be installed in th OS of the PI server.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Missing business systems in model configurator

    Hello,
i am on PI 7.1 and have to configure a SRM scenario. In step "assign communication component" (business system) in the model configurator all business systems are missing.
    Please the screenshot:
What configuration is missing? In SLD all business systems with software are maintained.
    Thanks for help
    Regards, Trevor

    Dear Trevor,
    Let me solve your problem,
In the snapshot it says clearly that "Search Criteria" Communication Component Selection "Value" for Product SAP SRM 7.0
Which means in SLD it will search for the Business Systems which got assigned with Product SAP SRM 7.0.
So please check your SRM Business System "MSRCLNT001_SRM" and assign the Product SAP SRM 7.0 to it in SLD.
If you couldn't find the Product in the SLD then you must update your Content Repository to latest level SAP_CR 6.6 in SLD.
Please check the note for SAP CR Update:
SAP Note 669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository in the SLD
Similarly you may face the problem for your ERP as well, so select Product SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 if you are implementing the same.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Regards

  • SSO for application systems with local users?

Hi all,  I'm new to Oracle Identity Management.  My company is going to implement SSO for inhouse applications.  However, some applications have their own local users (e.g. admin, guest, etc.) who have to login to the application system through the same interface.  We put all organization users in an Oracle enterprise Directory server, which is the authentication backend of the Access Manager.   After implementing webgate, such local users can't get authenticated.  I'd like to know if it's possible to configure particular users/applications to bypass SSO and use local authentication?     Thanks.
    Rgds
    /ST wong

Possible solution is to create a new entry point for local users. Create two proxies one for actual user entry and another for local user. You can restrict n/w access to proxy with local login so that only few hosts based on your requirement who needs to access system with local accounts. This way you will have two web sites for single application.

Solstice DiskSuite[TM] Software: How to Delete and Reset a Lost Root Password on a System With a Mirrored Root Disk [ID 1010755.1]
    Solution
    Steps to Follow
How to delete and reset a lost root password on a system with a mirrored root disk.
    1) Insert the Solaris[TM] Operating System CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
    2) Once the CD-ROM is in the drive, perform a stop-a. This brings the system down to the "ok" prompt.
    3) From the "ok" prompt, perform a single-user boot from the Solaris OS CD-ROM.
ok boot cdrom -s4) At the "#" prompt, determine which disk is the system's boot disk (containing the root file system). There are several Oracle architectures and various configurations of systems when it concerns a boot disk. As a general rule, most boot disks are attached to controller 0 (c0). Usually, their SCSI target is
either 3 (t3) or 0 (t0). However, Oracle machines are very flexible, and the boot disk could be at a different location. If you are not sure which disk is your boot disk, perform the following steps to determine the location of the boot device:
    a) # eeprom boot-device
The output might appear to be simple, such as "disk" or "disk1" or more complicated, such as a pathname "/iommu/sbus/espdma@4,8400000/...../sd@3,0:a".
    b) Make note of the boot-device. If the boot-device is a pathname, it is beyond the scope of this information to provide the location of the customized boot disk. However, for most configurations,
finding the customized boot disk is an easy task. The "Format" command shows all available disks:
    #format
    Searching for disks...done
    AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
(enter its number): c) Enter d to exit format.
Now, you will have an idea what disks are on the system. Therefore, if the boot-device is "disk" and format shows "c0t0d0" (on some systems "c0t3d0") then that is the boot device. If boot-device
shows "disk1" and format shows "c0t1d0," then that is the boot device. If format shows multiple disks, then based on what the "eeprom boot-device" command shows, the system's boot disk would be:
    boot-device format
disk c0t0d0 or c0t3d0 (machine dependent)
    disk1 c1t0d0
    disk2 c0t2d0
    disk3 c0t3d0 or c0t0d0 (machine dependent)
    and so on ....
    5) Because the system was not brought down gracefully (no root password means having to use the Stop-a keystroke to "crash" the system), you need to run "fsck" to clean the root partition (slice). The fsckalso confirms that you selected the proper slice.
    # fsck /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
where the X and Y are determined by the previous procedure. It is also possible to have a root partition which is not on slice 0 (s0), but, again, that is not a standard configuration.
The output of "fsck" looks like this:
    ** /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
    ** last mounted on /
    ** Phase 1 .....
The second line in the output of "fsck" ("** Last mounted on /") confirms that this is the correct root filesystem partition. Answer "y" to any questions fsck asks. There shouldn't be too many items
needing repair. If there are, there is a possibility of a corrupted root filesystem. After fsck is finished, mount the root partition:
    # mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /a
Again, X and Y are the same as for the fsck command.
    For example:
    # mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /a
    6) From the root prompt, set the proper TERM type command (such as vt100, dtterm, sun, and so on)
    by entering this command:
    # TERM=sun; export TERM
    7) Use the VI text editor to edit the /etc/shadow file:
    # vi /a/etc/shadow
    8) The first line of the /etc/shadow file is the one you want to modify.
    It looks like this:
    root:c3.yAVmYodWsc:6445::::::
    9) Delete every character between the first and second colons in the first line of the file. When you finish deleting the characters, the line should look like this:
    root::6445::::::
    10) Press the Escape key, then enter the following to save the file and exit vi:
    :wq!
    11) Use the VI text editor to edit the /etc/system file andremove the "rootdev" line shown below:
    # vi /a/etc/system
    *rootdev:/pseudo/md@0:0,0,blk
Don't comment out the "rootdev" line. Actually remove it.
    12) In the /a/etc/vfstab file, replace the lines for the system filesystem meta-devices with their underlying partitions. For example, change lines from
    /dev/md/dsk/d0 /dev/md/rdsk/d0 / ufs 1 no -
    to
    /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0 / ufs 1 no -
ONLY change the lines for root (/) and the filesystems that were affected by the actions you took in step 1 of this procedure. All other metadevices may stay as is in this file.
    13) Unmount root, check the root filesystem, and then stop the system:
    # cd /
    # umount /a
    # fsck /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
    # stop-a
    14) Boot to single-user mode:
ok boot -swTHIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT; YOU MUST BOOT TO SINGLE-USER MODE TO AVOID FILESYSTEM CORRUPTION.
If the system does not boot to single user mode, you might have made a mistake in the previous steps.
    15) Because the root password was cleared in an earlier step, press Return when prompted for the the root password. Once you are in single-user mode, you must clear the metamirrors and all the sub-mirrors for the root filesystem. For example, if root (/) is d0, run the following command:
    # metaclear -f -r d0
Running the metaclear command not only clears the metamirror but also clears the submirrors that are part of this mirror.
    16) When the metamirror is cleared, continue the boot up to multiuser mode by either pressing CTRL-D or by entering the following:
    # exit
Now everything should be as it was, except that the system partition is on the underlying partition and isn't mirrored. You will simply need to re-create the metadevices for the root mirror as you had originally.
    many thanks

    Hi,
    Halt your machine.
    Boot with fail-safe mode.
format and list out the disks. (You can get the root & mirror disk (c#t#d#) details from /etc/lvm/md.tab of your root or mirror disk. Earlier explorer output may help)
Mount the root disk and remove the password entry in /etc/shadow
    umount it.
Mount the mirror disk and remove the password entry in /etc/shadow
    umount it.
    reboot the server.
    Hope this helps!

  • Error Occured while working with the configuration (scanning)

    Hi
We are trying to open the configtool for our double stack NW04s system.
When we go to the mapped drive on our PC and then try to open the configtool from
    usr/sap/<SID>/DV*/j2ee/configtool/configtool.bat,
it prompts if you wnat to use the default settings?
We confirm that and the it throws the screen,

    Hi Dorothea,
Thanks for the reply. The property rdbms.connection is already set to jdbc/pool/<sid>.
This is the file content for config.properties.
    #Generated by Config Tool
    #Wed Oct 17 20:18:08 EDT 2007
    rdbms.maximum_connections=5
    system.name=BID
    secstorefs.keyfile=/sapmnt/BID/global/security/data/SecStore.key
    secstorefs.secfile=/sapmnt/BID/global/security/data/SecStore.properties
    secstorefs.lib=/sapmnt/BID/global/security/lib
    rdbms.driverLocation=/usr/sap/BID/SYS/jdbc/tbx/jt400.jar
    rdbms.connection=jdbc/pool/BID
    rdbms.initial_connections=1
We are using the toolbox driver.
The configtool gui opens up properly.
We tried editing the password for the admin/password/BID...
in the secure store but still comes back with the same error.
We did not change the the jdbc/pool/BID/Password as we were not sure.
What should jdbc/pool/BID/Password correspond to? We are putting in the J2EE_ADMIN passwords as the admin/user/BID is J2EE_ADMIN
If we change the password for the jdbc/pool/BID/Password, we believe we should be using the password for the jdbc/pool/BID/User, which in this case is SAP<SID>DB or SAPBIDDB.
We have verified the passwords for this user SAPBIDDB on the i5/OS and they look ok to us.
To verify, also logged in the portal using J2EE_ADMIN and the password given here in the configtool.
    Still the same error persists.
    Thanks
    Sap Ques
