Collection Question - Clearing a computer from one collection to another

Hey Guys,
I have quick question. I have two collection , one for windows 7 and for windows 8.
When adding a computer to my windows 8 collection, can I simply delete
the old object from the windows 7 collection?
Or is there a process for doing this?

Yes, easily. Just go to the collection and you can right click, Membership, and remove the entry there.
You can also open the collection and right click the object and Remove from collection.
If you delete the object you not only lose any membership it had, you also lose its DDR information as well as all inventory information.

I have a customer that needs to move open A/R line items to one payer to another and without using F-30 or F-21, I recall seeing a program or t-code that gave one the ability to move the line items from one customer to another by selecting all line items or listing specific document numbers. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

These t-codes are not helpful and tideous if you have many like a 1000 line items. In addition, you lose the history, the due date information and the document type change for invoices, etc.
I KNOW I saw something that moved all or selected items by document number from one customer to another. It was called payer to payer transfer. I cannot find any information on it.
Any help or more input, more points awarded.

Reset the clearing to transfer from one contract to another

Hi,
We are facing the following problem:
We have a number of credits that we have re-set the clearing on to transfer them from one contract account to another. Once the items are showing as open credits we are going to the transfer open items screen but the credits are not appearing.
We have made sure that we are transferring from the correct contract a/c but when we have reversed the reset clearing from a few days ago as the payments had been reposted the open items the line items are showing as open but not yet due and not been reversed.

Sorry! I could not understand your question completely. If I understand it right, you have few accounts/items where they are re-set few days ago. Now you want to transfer them to a single Contract Account(s). Right?
In that case, though you might have reset the items few days ago,
1.Check whether FPMA Account maintenance<AM> was run. In that case, your OI wud be set off against Open Payments<OP>
2. AM need not happen always happen @ FPMA. It also happens when-ever a new posting<payments happen..pls check during Invoicing too> is made ...setting of OI with OP.
3. Also veriy whether anytime FP06 is used.
4. You can take the clearing doc and see the header of the doc to veriy who/how/when this is happened <<U can use table DFKKKO to extract data>>.

NIC configs are created using a combination of /etc/hosts | /etc/inet/ipnodes and /etc/hostname.<nic instance> files when system is booting up.
In order to permanantly remove an IP from a host's interface (say hme0:3)
you would have to do the following:
NOTE: Don't run this on Solaris 7 or below -- unplumbing a virtual interface in Solaris 7 or below will unplumb the actual physical instance as well!!
ifconfig hme0:3 down
ifconfig hme0:3 unplumb
Remove entry corresponding to the IP that was set up on hme0:3 from /etc/hosts and/or /etc/inet/ipnodes
remove /etc/hostname.hme0:3In order to reverse the process (or set up the IP on another host), just reverse the steps. Make entries in /etc/hosts and/or /etc/inet/ipnodes, /etc/hostname.<nic instance> (insert hostname corresponding to IP from /etc/hosts in this file).
ifconfig hme0:3 plumb

Make sure to turn off any service that might be tied into that IP address on server A. Otherwise you'll have a loss of service. For eg: if you have an apache instance that's bound to that IP address, make sure you make adjustments/corrections or turn it off before you unplumb your interface).
You don't have to necessarily reboot to make this happen. Just make sure you don't leave any stone unturned...

How to move an existing Application/Package Deployment from one collection to another

We'd like to move an Application Deployment from one collection of devices to another. Instead of just creating a new deployment (which would make the app try to reinstall) we'd like to move the existing deployment.
Any way to do this with PowerShell?

Creating a new deployment won't make an app try to reinstall at all. That's the whole point of the Detection method.
For packages, clients keep track of what they've run before so a new deployment won't cause it to run again unless the program is set for it to run again.
Ultimately, you cannot change the collection targeted by a deployment as this violates a f underlying assumptions and messes up compliance/reporting for that deployment. You need to create a new deployment which as pointed out has no down-side.

Server 2012 RS Multiple RDS Collections equals only one application from one collection at a time

Hello all!
We have a 2012 R2 RDS "farm" configured like this:
2 RD Web Access servers (load balanced behind KEMP appliances)
2 RD Connection Brokers in a High Availability configuration
8 RD Session Host servers (no VDI) in 2 different collections
I've noticed that if I have rights / visibility to different applications in both collections I can only run one of the applications at a time. For instance:
Collection A has application 1
COllection B has application 2
What i'm experienceing now is that if i have rights to app 1 and app 2 i can only use one at a time. If i attemp to run app 2 while i have app 1 open I get this message:
"Windows cannot start the RemoteApp program. The following RemoteApp program is not in the list of authorized programs: app 1"
Maybe my thinking is incorrect and you cannot cross boundries from one collection to the other. Maybe i need one collection with all my host and segregate applications via AD permissions. Any thoughts?

Please make sure the client PC has mstsc.exe 6.3.9600 (RDP 8.1) or later.
From your description it sounds as though it is attempting to connect to the wrong collection when you launch the RemoteApp for the second collection. This can be caused by older client version and/or your load balancing configuration. You should
load balance the initial connections to the broker, but not use a load balancer for the connections to the RDSH servers, unless you have a specific need to. The RD Connection Brokers will handle the load balancing for the RDSH servers.

Migrating source from one collection to another collection hanging

We are trying migrate a project from one collection to another collection on the same server (TFS 2013.3) and its hanging on what I think is a large changeset. I have let it for for 3+ days but its stuck on this line - any ideas on how to troubleshoot

When a new album is created it will fill with whatever is in the right hand window, If you're in the Events or Photos mode it will contain all photos in the library. Yes, strange behavior.

I have a g/l account that I want to automatically clear each month to another account? Is that possible? I know about f.13, but I am interested in automatically transferring an entire balance each month from one account to another.

Are these both accounts maintained on Open item management? If yes then you can do the balance transfer manually using F-04 (post with clearing button). Automatic clearing will not cater your requirement since it clears the GL balances as per specified criteria in OB74 . For automatic balance transfer i guess .there is no such way to do in SAP.

HT1349 I have just moved from one pc to another. I had used 5 computers to attach to itunes. I went in and disabled all 5 of my accounts but cant get the new computer to give me a prompt to authorize this computer. Any ideas?

I have just moved from one PC to another. They are windows pc's not macintosh. When i installed itunes on the new computer it stated that I already had 5 devices authrorized for this account. I did a little reading and went in and deathorized all 5 PC from the account as I am sure it was a couple pcs ago and a few iphones. When I try and go in and authorize an account I cant see anywhere where there is a prompt to authorize the new PC. I go into store and all it says is that there are no devices associated to this account. What I would like to do is associate my new PC and my iphone to this account and hopefully restore from the cloud all of my music and programs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Move small groups of files to the /Users/Shared/ folder or another location and see if the problems disappear. Moving everything to a new user account will in all probability transfer the problems.
