Collection questions please advise
Hello everyone, i was was recently reviewing my credit report and see that I have an account that was opened by CO in 2011, as well as a collection (Cavalry portfolio services) for this account that posted from 2013 in the amount of 750. My first questions is that up until recently I have never opened a CO account. Doing some research my wife had one and supposinly I was added as a AU, even though I never had requested. Should I dispute this via the CRA for validation of debt.? If so what are the possible. What've impacts of this? Or what else should I do? My only other collection is held by pinnacle credit services for an old Verizon account that originally defaulted back in 2011, for 758 dollars. They have it reporting on my credit report as opened in 4/2014, which is not the original default date, as mentioned being 2011. From what I read they don't do a DFP and are hard to work with. Can I dispute this with my CRAs as the dates are incorrect? What else would you recommend? I am trying to really boost my credit score, my scores are in my sig. also do I need to worry about any of this resetting the SOL, I'm in NH which is 3 years from my research. Thanks

However, if you were a joint account holder, you are liable. Does the DoFD (Date of first deliquency) show for the collection? It is 7 years plus 180 days from the DoFD for the collection to fall off. Nothing can change the DoFD. The "wrong" date might just be referring to the date the CA got authority of the collection.

I recently built this system as follows:
Case: Thermaltake Lanfire Xaser III /w Purepower 420 Watt PS
Mobo: MSI 865PE Neo2-P Platinum Edition
Proc: Intel Pentium 4 2.8c (Northwood)
Ram: Kreton Xtreme Speed T-Rex PC3700 DDR466 (2x512)
Video: ATI Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR
HD: Seagate 80GB IDE Ultra ATA 100 2MB Cache
OD: Lite-On 16x DVD 52x32x52 CD-RW
OS: Microsoft Windows XP (Home Edition)
While it's still early enough to RMA any parts if neccessary, I'm trying to determine what if anything might need replaced. So far what I've dicovered is most everything seems to be functioning properly except there may be a problem with the ram. Here's what happens, each stick of ram seems to work flawlessly, alone. However, when using both sticks together in any combination, whether dual or single channel (consistent results in all combinations of single & dual channel slots), there seems to be a lot of errors. The computer will boot & load windows ok, & CPU-Z will report all aspects of the ram correctly (size, speed, timing, channel configuration etc.), but downloads & installs get corrupted & the computer will reboot randomly. Also, cannot get an uncorrupted install of windows with both sticks of ram in. Using MemTest 2.5 there are no errors with either stick seperatley, but with both sticks together (no matter what combination of single or dual channel slots) it gets constant errors & says the memory is bad even though the pc seems to run ok, untill corrupted downloads or installs show up.
So I'm wondering if anyone may know if there is any setting or something that may fix this, or perhaps the ram is bad & new ram will work fine with 2 sticks, or is there any possibilty the problem could be with the main board & 2 sticks of ram will never function properly at the same time? Or any other ideas? I really don't want to have to return any of the parts if possible, but being limited to 1 stick of ram is not a viable or acceptable option (although it works ok for the time being) on a pc which is built to perform & should have no problem with 1GB of ram in dual channel mode.

Edit - wrong forum, meant this in main, no overclocking is involved with this issue.you must try another kind of ram first , if the problem didn't solve then its the mobo. who has the problem.

Please advise how to burn a collection on a CD - When I click on File then burn to CD - I get:To burn CD you require a CD writer yet I have one - which I have used many times with another package. Also where are the pictures that I have put into a collection stored? I cannot find them. Once the tracks are in your library, you can right-click and use the command Get Album Artwork. This command will attempt to match your track(s) to the item in the iTunes Store, and get the cover art.
If that command does not succeed, you will need a copy of the art in .JPG format, either by scanning your CD cover, or by getting it from the web. Once you have the art, right-click the track, choose Get Info, go the Artwork tab and paste it in. -

I have a Mac OS X, version 10.6.8, and I am using safari 5.1.10. I think I need to get a newer version of Safari if this is possible.
How do I go about doing this? Do I have to purchase a different "safari" product?

I have not yet seen any official response to the question: "Is the Apple AV Composite cable fully supported with 30pin connector devices upgraded with iOS7 - specifically ? - eg. iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s"
If it is not currently supported is that then due to a bug / oversight and in that case is it something that will be fixed in the near future?

When will Windows 8.1 be supported on Boot camp 5? I have a new Mac book Pro 2013 and cannot install. Do I return the Windows version and try to download 8.0, or wait it out until it is supported? New to Mac's.

The planned dates of production or release of Windows 8.1 drivers are speculation about the drivers.

This is quite important, at least for me it is anyway, I need to know what I am talking about and believe in what I am saying, I visit a seminar in July and this is about the most important part as well as a UNIX assignment. I have listed some of the things I will say below, please advise with what you might disagree with, if you can be bothered that is, I would be grateful :). If I get this wrong I dont get asked back to the academy full time to become SCJP certified and placed in the indusrty. I dont always want to stuck in retail :(
Title - The origins and benefits of Java
The early days
Java was part of a 1991 effort by Sun to produce a language and enviroment which would enable consumer electronics to be able to communicate with each other, they saw this as one of the next big things in I.T.
The sun team which James Gosling lead the coding side, set out to make an architecture neutral programming language which would be simply to use, secure and portable. Java was origianally called oak but didnt survive a patent check and was later renamed to Java.
Although, given there intial goals the project failed and they were turned down when showcasing a PDA called star 7 to potential customers within the industry they still had a created an extremley useful language in Java which was yet to realise its full potential.
Years ticked by before Javas big break came when Sun teamed up with Netscape to release the Hotjava browser which brought animation amongst other things to the Internet, its worth noting that Java was originally designed independant of the Internet but was later found to be a perfect match.
What is Java
Java itself is similar to both C and C++, it borrows its syntax from C and its object model from C++
Java is seen for a high level language anyways as easy to learn

Java's benefits
Java code compiles not into Native code like other languages, this is the main reason it runs slower but is the same reason Java is portable and secure.
This means a couple of important things in the world of networked computing, Security and portability.
Java code compiles into bytecode which is then interperted by a Java virtual machine (JVM). This means that only the JVM needs to implented for each different type of CPU or operating system. Where the internet or corperate networks are concerned this is a major plus as both are made up of many different machines.
Other benefits Java offers are Garbage collection, this is automatic memory managment, once the progam has finshed with an address in memory its automatically freed up, in other C/C++ this is left to programmer and can lead to errors and is also a waste of resource.
Also, in Java there are not Pointers like C/C++ instead, Java uses references, this is also a major plus in most cases, although pointers are moe powerful they cause many errors, java eleminates these errors by hiding the responsibility from the programmer, this means the programmer cant make common mistakes in C++ which are de-alocating memory twice or not at all, also this stops the programmer pointing to parts of memory which are out of bounds. This makes java more simple and user firendly.
Java has a massive class libary as standard, this library is on call for the programmer to call upon as needed, this library is packed with useful classes the progrmamer can use without having right the code himself.
Java is everywhere
Java is used in over 2.5billion devices these are listed below:
700 million computers
1 billion mobil phones
1.25 billion smart cards
plus set-top boxes, printers , webcams, games, lottery terminals, medical devices, parking payment stations etc.

That point needs more explaination. Security has many meanings and in some circumstances native code will be considered more secure.

MS charges for the IDE. Sun charges for their IDE as well. The compiler is free from both however. -

It is not clear if your Premiere Elements 10 was a downloaded purchase from Adobe or from an authorized reseller.
However, do you have a purchased serial number for the product?
If you have the purchased serial number, you can download Premiere Elements 10 tryout files from the following web site

Need help especially from exports that are strong in export/import.
can someone advise me how to use export/import to clone a database?
I know how to clone database using cold backup and hot backup.
But wish to know the full steps in using export/import to do cloning.
I'm going to do a full export on my "TEST" database, drop the database, create a database and import using the full export.
After doing a full database export, full=y. What are the steps to follow. Have a few doubts about it.
1) export the database (full=y)
2) drop the database
3) re-create the database, will be using the same name "TEST".
4) create the users (IDs created by DBA, eg: schemas), tablespace and datafiles. --> import doesn't do it right?
5) do a full import (full=y). In this step, will i encounter any problems? As in understand that all the oracle-owned objects (example SYSTEM, SYS, AUX) are already in the newly created database, will import full=y cause any problems?
6) do i have to re-create the roles, SYNONYMS and grant role,sys,obj privileges to IDs not created by oracle. (example schema owner)
in short i would like to know what EXPORT will export and not export
what IMPORT will import and not import.

just to confirm. am i right to say that only a full database level (full=y) export/import will export/import out roles as well as public synonyms? because i have tried also exporting a user from the database, and imported that user into a different database, but public synonyms and roles were not imported.
one more question:
For example we are going to do port data from production to uat database using export and import for only the schema.
After exporting from production with such syntax (owner=OWNER01),
is is better to drop all objects beloging to the schema owner in UAT before importing it (touser=OWNER01, ignore=y) using the production dumpfile?
I'm asking this question as I'm afraid that if we did not drop all the pl/sql objects in UAT database, the updated procedures/fuctions/triggers exported from the production database will not get imported to the UAT database as UAT database have the same procedures/fuctions/triggers names (but not updated code) .
will profiles be exported and imported too duing full database level exp/imp?

Please, advise mouse-over instant word by word translation for FF9
in older version of FF I had INSTANT mouse-over the word Google translation add-on, which is not available at FF9 version. It is a huge inconvenience for me (and sure many others) , please advise which add-on has such option? I searched for one for a few weeks, and only found some with "highlight the word" (selection) option , which is quite disturbing and takes more time and does not always works when it's needed.
