College Student Deal email never recieved.

I never recieved any email this week (while my friends who also signed up for BB's edu email deals did) and it's because our school had a glitch in the system so, I think the email never went through to me and is lost. Now my edu email is (removed per forum guidelines). I know I'm signed up for the college alert deals. I really need a new keyboard and I see this one is one sale SKU: 3940521 and the email I was sopposed to get has a code that brings it down to ~$29. Could I please have the email re-sent to me? Or have a temporary code to drop the price to ~$29? I am planning on ordering today if everything works.
Thanks, Zii

Hello Zii,
I am sorry you are having issues with taking advantage of the College Student Deals and unfortunately, those emails are not something that we can resend you.
As hockeycanuckjc said above, these types of emails can show up under the Promotions tab in Gmail if this is something your school uses. Emails can also sometimes get flagged by filters and fall into your Junk Mail folder as well and would be worth a look.
Let me know if you are successful in either of these methods. I will be sending you a private message with more details on this issue. To check your private messages, click on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner while you are logged into the forums.
Thanks for reaching out,

  • College Student Deal Never Received

    Hi,
I registered my .edu e-mail for the college student deal about 6 hours ago, and after the website "accepted" my address, I never received further correspondence with the coupon codes that were promised in the initial e-mail. I also just spoke to someone in customer service who said my e-mail was accepted and encouraged me to check with the IT department of my school and my spam/promotions folders. My folders do not have anything, and I checked with the IT department and they have no block on such incoming e-mails.
Could someone point me in the right direction to rectify this? My computer broke and I need to purchased a replacement in the next few days and I really want to take advantage of the $150 MacBooks for college students.
    Thank you!

    Hello jking7,
Purchasing a new computer is a very exciting time, especially for those like me who crave new technology. However, I’m sorry to hear your future purchase may be due to your previous computer breaking! I am happy to know that we’ll be able to save you some money on your new computer with our College Student Deals. It sounds like while your .edu email address was accepted, you’re yet to receive any coupons. I greatly apologize and I’m happy to look into this further.
Since you received the original confirmation email, I can only assume that your school should be allowing the emails that are coming from Best Buy. The fact that you checked with your IT department further ensures this. While the coupon emails usually show up within a few hours, there are times where it can take up to 24 hours while everything is verified with your email address and school.
As you were previously advised, please double check your spam/junk email folders to see if you’ve now received the coupons. If not, and 24 hours has elapsed, please send me a private message with your full name, and the email address you used to register for the College Student Deals promotion. To send me a private message, simply click the link in my signature.
Thanks for posting, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need further assistance with this. If you’ve received your coupons, then I hope you enjoy your new MacBook!

  • Re: College Student Deals: No confirmation email!

I too am having the same issue. My son submitted his .edu email 3 days ago and he still has not received the email. I've verified his college inbox doesn't block marketing emails. Please help! Thanks.

    Hello coolmom30,
I'm disappointed to read that your son has not received his coupons from our College Student Deals promotion. I regret that he has encountered this issue; certainly this isn't our goal.
Due to our Privacy Policy, I must request that your son contact us himself in order for us to begin our research. Please extend my invitation to him to create an account on Best Buy Unboxed and then post a request for assistance with this concern. As soon as we hear from him, we'll be happy to look into his situation and do our best to offer a resolution.
I look forward to hearing from him, and I'm grateful that you brought this to our attention.

  • College Student Deals: No confirmation email!

My son has tried repeatedly to sign up for the College Student Deals, and has yet to receive an email confirmation from Best Buy. He has checked his spam filter, and I verified the email address is valid by sending him an email. The school doesn't block marketing emails.
    Help!

    Hi scfarm,
With the school year fast approaching, I’m sure your son is trying to get everything sorted before making the big move to college.  I know how stressful that can be having done just that a few years ago myself.  I also know that it’s imperative to save money when you can, because let’s face it; college can be unbelievably expensive.  Our College Student Deals is a great way to do that, so I can imagine your son’s frustration in not getting the coupons he’s requesting.
While it sounds like you’ve tried to troubleshoot this issue on your own, there are a few possible reasons for not receiving the confirmation email.
    ·         A valid .edu email address was not entered
    ·         Your son’s school may block marketing emails from Best Buy (you’ve eliminated this one)
    ·         Your email account may be set up to block spam (it sounds like you’ve checked already)
    ·         It has not yet been 24 hours for the confirmation email or 72 hours for the coupon emails
If your son has a valid .edu email address and waited the 24 hours for the email to generate, please send me a private message with your son’s school email address using the button included in my signature below. I’ll be glad to see what options we may have from there.
    Thanks for posting!

    Hello there rgadde123,
Gaining access to our College Student Deals is crucial as being a student isn’t easy, so every way you can get a little help is crucial. If you weren’t immediately seeing the coupons, I can understand why you may be confused and concerned after signing up multiple times. • College Student Deal Problem

I registered my .edu address to recieve College student deals. I immediately recieved an email to confirm my email address (which I did) I then recieved an email that my address was confirmed and I would be recieving a coupon shortly.
It's been 4 days and I have not recieved the coupon codes necessary to make a purchase of the Macbook Air that I was looking forward to purchasing.
I've checked my spam folder and even checked with my schools tech department to see if they block promo emails (they said no blocks)
I am anxious to resolve this before the current Macbook promotion ends.
    Looking for help.
    Thanks
    Chris

  • Please Help!! Can not receive College student coupons emails for waiting a long time

    Hello,
I can not receive the college student coupon emails after I signed in for a while. And I tried a couple of times, but it still won't work. I check the solutions which you guys post on the Forum, but it won't work for me. So I really need someone help me please!! Thank you so much! Because I saw you post a good deal for ipad right now, and I don't want to miss it this time....
    Sincerely,
    V

    Hello V,
The College Student Deals program certainly has some great offers and I would do almost anything to get a good deal on an iPad! Sorry to hear you haven’t received an email with these coupons. I would like to help you take advantage of those deals!
Using your email address you provided here on the forums, I was able to see that you received some assistance in this matter today. Is that correct? Please let me know if you still need help with this and I will gladly look into it for you further.
In the meantime, you may try checking your Junk/Spam folders in your .edu email address if you haven’t done so already. Also, I recommend speaking to your school’s IT department to see if they have been blocking the emails altogether, as this has been known to happen by certain schools. I should be able to supply you with the email address they are sent from if you need it for reference.
I look forward to your response,

  • College Student Deals

My student email was accepted but I have not received my coupons days after it was entered. What can I do to get the coupons?

    Hi Roxcar49,
I would have loved to have access to these coupons back when I was a college student, especially when I was in the market for a new laptop in my sophomore year on quite a limited budget. I’m not sure why you haven’t received your coupons quite yet; however, I’d hate for you not to receive them.
From my understanding, we did make some recent changes to our College Student Deal program. While this shouldn’t have affected anyone prior to these changes, I’d suggest trying this again and enter in your school email address on our site (found here). If you do not receive the coupons within the next couple of days, please let me know. I’ll be happy to look into this further on your behalf to see what options we may have available to us from there.
Feel free to let us know how it goes!

  • Having problem getting the student deals email for Microsoft Office. Please help.

I tried to sign up for the college deals to receive a student discount on Microsoft Office Mac 2011. I was told to buy it now full price, go home, & wait for Best Buy to email the code and I could bring it in & they'd refund the difference. Was assured that a code existed. Found out my school offers it for 50% less than you charge but I can't return it. Your staff is hilariously unaware of how to deliver answers or results that right this situation. Please fix this situation. We're talking about a 50% difference here and I was simply doing as instructed by the brick and mortar folks as well as the phone 'support'.

    Hi JosephCurtisBrown,
I’m all for saving money whenever possible and signing up for our College Student Deal program is a great way to do so.  It’s disappointing to hear you didn’t receive your coupons as quickly as anticipated though, especially if we failed to honor our agreement to refund the difference once you received them. As I’d hate for something like this to happen to me, I appreciate the opportunity you’ve provided us to review your request.
While our store associates were correct in that we cannot return opened software in accordance with our Return and Exchange Promise, I’m a little confused about your situation, as our current offers do not include any sort of discount for Microsoft Office software purchases (offers found here). Having said this, I’m sending you a private message to gather some additional information from you. You may view it by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope icon in the upper right-hand corner.

  • College Student Deals Not Working - Pebble watch

Can you please help? I have been trying for three days to get a response from the college student deal was well. I really want to purchase a macbook air for my daughter but every time I ask if she's received an email, she hasn't. This is frustrating as we are ready to make our purchase and can't get any straight answer from customer service except to wait for the coupon to appear.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Best Buy forums!
I’m sure that your daughter is really looking forward to getting that MacBook Air for her schoolwork and hopefully we can help her out with one of those student deals!  I’m sorry to hear that she hasn’t received any emails yet from when she signed up.
Usually, most of the signups with an .edu email will take a few hours to confirm, but there are times where it may take 24-48 hours.  Please also keep in mind that these emails may also be forwarded to her Spam/Junk mail folders and that some schools block marketing emails as well.  If she has not received that email yet after 48 hours, I would have her follow up with her school’s IT department to make sure that they do not block them.
    Thanks for connecting with us!

  • College Student Deals Question

I was wondering why you are limited to a .edu email address? I am a college student and I would love to participate in this contest but my college provides us with a .net address through Microsoft Outlook. Thanks!

    Hi DASjo0218,
Our College Student Deals program is a great way to save money at a time when it’s most needed. Goodness knows I took advantage of it back when I started my schooling, and it certainly was appreciated. The decision to allow only .edu email addresses wasn't made lightly, and I'm sorry this has left you unable to become part of our program.
Having said this, feedback like yours is something we take seriously. Please know that I have sent you a private message so that we may discuss this in further detail. You may view it by logging into the forum and clicking on the forum in the upper right-hand corner.

Hi! Ive signed up for the student deals, but I havent received any emails with the coupon code for the $150 off. I really want to purchase the HP Envy. Is there anyone who can help me?

  • Re: College Student Deals

Same problem here.  Registered .edu address, received confirmation, and deals in Sept and early October.  Nothing since and cannot get current coupons. Re-registered, checked spam.  Nothing.  Can you help please?  I want to buy a Macbook during break.

    Hello connelde,
I'm disappointed to read that you haven't received the latest College Student Deals coupons.
Given that you've received them previously and re-registered as recommended without result, have you contacted your school's IT department to see if they've implemented any changes that might affect your receiving our messages? Please let me know what you find out!

  • College Student Discount Email I Received was Expired

    Hi,
I signed up to get the College Student Discount Email but when I Received it , it wasan Expired coupon. It expired 5-03-14 and I signed up on 5-04-14. Also, when i go to the best buy website it still says that the offer is still going on. Can someone help me or inform me when the issue will be fixed, thank you.

    Hello rbravoch2,
I can imagine it would be quite confusing to receive a coupon that has already expired. I sincerely apologize for any confusion this has caused.
We are aware of the expired codes, and are working to correct this issue. You should expect to see a new e-mail with an updated code as of today, Monday, May 5th. Should you have any problem using it, please do not hesitate to let us know.
We appreciate your patience, and thank you for posting on the forum!

  • College Student Deals Not Working - MacBook Pro

I went to my local bestbuy store to buy a MacBook Pro. I asked the sales associate if they offered a discount for college students because I am buying this laptop for college. He said yes you can get $150 off your MBP and directed me to "www.bestbuy.com/studentdeals". I signed up with my ".edu" email and received an email requesting confirmation. I confirmed my email and waited for the coupon deals for about 2 hours in store, but ended up going home because I didn't receive email. I called customer service multiple times and they were no help either. Any idea what the problem is? Any solution??

    Hello Singh/ae1222-
Given how cash-strapped most college students typically are, every little bit of savings you can get will definitely help!  I’m sorry to hear that you have not received your email with the details and coupons for our student deals.
While usually those emails will show up with an hour or two, there are times where it can take up to 24 hours as the email address does go through a verification process.  In addition, some schools have filters in place on their email addresses that block marketing-type emails such as this from coming through.
If you haven’t received your email, I would recommend checking with the IT department at your school to see if this is an issue.  Otherwise, you can also send me a Private Message with your .edu email address and I can see if we can check on it for you.
    Sincerely,
