Collision with HR record.
Dear HR Experts,
We are using the portal for users to key in their overtime (CATW) or CAT2 in backend. By default, when the users key in their time and click on the check entries, the system will check against is there any leave / attendance record on that particular day. If there is any then the system will prompt the error and disallow the user to save the record.
However what I want now is the system to check against the leave only but not the attendance because the attendance is for display only.
Therefore I go to SPRO->Cross-Application Components -> Timesheet -> Setting for all user interfaces -> authorization -> create authorization for data entry profiles -> maintain data entry profile. Under the collision with HR, I choose the option no message. This actually deactivates the check against the attendance, but at the same time deactivate the check against the leave (absence). However I want to have the check against leave remain on.
Any idea how to configure it?
Thanks
Regards,
Bryan
Hi Julien,
If you want to allow collisions with HR records, please go to SPRO: Cross Application Components - Timesheet - Specific settings for CATS regular - Recording working time - Set up data entry profiles.
Double click the relevant data entry profile.
Change HR collision from Error to warning or no response.

Dilek

(HR-ABAP) Collision with full day HR Record
Hi,
Each employee has a planned work shcedule where employee timings are predefined.
When an employee is absent for the day But comes to work after the scheduled absent period for overtime work, In r/3 system such type of entries are allowed where as when posting the time entry to HR it throws the error "collision with full day HR Record".
How should avoid such type errors.I need to record the overtime employee worked in addition to his absence record.
Regards,
Sourya Prakash.Hi Siddharth,
Spot on
we have implemented the note 1952018 - Entering full-day attendances & it has fixed the issue
thanks a lot

My macbook pro is failing to read a new sd card with movies recorded on it. Any ideas please? A previously used SD card has downloaded without problems. I have tried using a card reader as well as downloading from the video camera itself, neither works.
I can view the latest recordings on the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it but didn't think of that at the time. Obviously don't want to do this now as it will wipe the movies.Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

How to load unicode data files with fixed records lengths?
Hi!
To load unicode data files with fixed records lengths (in terms of charachters and not of bytes!) using SQL*Loader manually, I found two ways:
Alternative 1: one record per row
SQL*Loader control file example (without POSITION, since POSITION always refers to bytes!)<br>
LOAD DATA
CHARACTERSET UTF8
LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
INFILE unicode.dat
INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
TRUNCATE
A CHAR(2) ,
B CHAR(6) ,
C CHAR(2) ,
D CHAR(1) ,
E CHAR(4)
) Datafile:
001111112234444
01NormalDExZWEI
02ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
03ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
04üüüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Alternative2: variable length records
LOAD DATA
CHARACTERSET UTF8
LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
INFILE unicode_var.dat "VAR 4"
INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
TRUNCATE
A CHAR(2) ,
B CHAR(6) ,
C CHAR(2) ,
D CHAR(1) ,
E CHAR(4)
) Datafile:
001501NormalDExZWEI002702ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö002604üuüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Problems
Implementing these two alternatives in OWB, I encounter the following problems:
* How to specify LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR?
* How to suppress the POSITION definition?
* How to define a flat file with variable length and how to specify the number of bytes containing the length definition?
Or is there another way that can be implemented using OWB?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Carsten.Hi Carsten
If you need to support the LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR clause in an external table then one option is to use the unbound external table and capture the access parameters manually. To create an unbound external table you can skip the selection of a base file in the external table wizard. Then when the external table is edited you will get an Access Parameters tab where you can define the parameters. In 11gR2 the File to Oracle external table can also add this clause via an option.

How can I convert string to the record store with multiple records in it?
Hi Everyone,
How can I convert the string to the record store, with multiple records? I mean I have a string like as below:
"SecA: [Y,Y,Y,N][good,good,bad,bad] SecB: [Y,Y,N][good,good,cant say] SecC: [Y,N][true,false]"
now I want to create a record store with three records in it for each i.e. SecA, SecB, SecC. So that I can retrieve them easily using enumerateRecord.
Please guide me and give me some links or suggestions to achieve the above thing.
Best RegardsHi,
I'd not use multiple records for this case. Managing more records needs more and redundant effort.
Just use single record. Create ByteArrayOutputStream->DataOutputStream and put multiple strings via writeUTF() (plus any other data like number of records at the beginning...), then save the byte array to the record...
It's easier, it's faster (runtime), it's better manageable...

File to RFC with multiple records using BPM Scenario Error...!!!
Hello Guru's,
I have done the File to RFC with multiple records using BPM scenario as per the Materiel available in the sdn.sap. This involves BAPI (BAPI_MATERIEL_AVAILABILITY). I have done exactly the same what is their in the materiel. SXI_CACHE is also giving return value " 0 ". File is getting deleted from the source directory, but no file in target directory. SXMB_MONI is also showing no error (black Flag). BPM is also error free. Checked the interfaces also.
Can any one tell me what mistake would i have done.
Thanks in advance.Hi,

Item text in Purchase Order getting updated with info. record Purchase Order Text
Hello All,
I am working in a roll out project and facing issue in text repeating twice for the line item in the Purchase Order for the new company code for which rollout is happening
Issue:
Item text in Purchase Order getting updated with info. record Purchase Order Text
01) PO Text is maintained in the material master under "Purchase Order Text" tab
02) The PO text that is maintained in material master is getting updated in the Purchase Info. Record
03) When Purchase Order is created, the "Item Text" gets updated in the Purchase Order automatically only for the new company code for which rollout is happening. when printed, this results in the text getting duplicated twice
03.1) this behavior is not observed in the Plants/ Company code that is already Live
Configurations in the system:
The copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" is
Source Object = "Info Record", Source Text="Purchase Order Text", Fix="*"
We have modified the Purchase Order form to print one of the condition types maintained for calculating the tax. Other than this there is no change to the plants that are already live.
I could not locate any "Purchase Organization" / "Company Code" / "Plant specific configuration.
Am I missing any configuration or where can I look in what is causing this error.
Request help from the experts in the forum.
with Regards,
Dhandapani RThere is no company/purchasing/plant specific customizing for purchase order text.
The customizing copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" affects all equally .
If the text in the purchase order in ME23N is already filled different to other plants, then you either have a modification in place, or the texts are differently maintained in the referenced data (vendor, material, info record, contract) -
Looks like there is a problem with your recording ...
When I turned on my laptop today, I noticed that I was unable to use the webcam in skype. When looking within the video settings, there is a message that states "Skype could not find a webcam...". When trying to use Skype Metro App, it detects the webcam, however when trying to do a video call, the webcam does not turn on, and when trying to send a video message, there is the message "Looks like there is a probelm with your recording".
This problem impacts all applications except for the Camera Metro App (Which works without problem).
I've confirmed that the webcam is in the device manager under imaging devices and I've tried to use both the default microsoft drivers, as well as the manufaturers drivers with no avail. There is no error under device manger for the webcam. I also tried a system restore to a date before the issue took place which also did not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciatedruwim wrote:

How do you attach a file on these forums? I've tried looking for an option to attach a file however I could not find one. -

I am not able to understand your requirement correctly. Are you trying to attach the Document as a Attachment to the Interaction record (or) trying to attach it as a Archive Link Document??
If you could give me more info.. I think I will be able to assist you with this as I have worked in this area...

ORA-22275 with BFILE record processing
Hi All,
I'm processing records in a table that contains an optional bfile column and then comparing each record with another record from the same table. I'm getting "ORA-22275: Invalid LOB locator specified" when I get my comparison record using a function - and the cursor record contains a null bfile following a not null bfile record.
Here's my simplified 11g test case:
create table jr_test
(pk_id number not null
,stuff varchar2(100) not null
,external_file bfile);
insert into jr_test values (1,'Some other data',bfilename('MY_DIR','jr1.txt'));
insert into jr_test values (2,'Some other data',bfilename('MY_DIR','jr2.txt'));
insert into jr_test values (3,'No bfile',null);
commit;
DECLARE
l_rec_1 jr_test%ROWTYPE;
l_rec_2 jr_test%ROWTYPE;
FUNCTION record_to_compare(p_id IN jr_test.pk_id%TYPE) RETURN jr_test%ROWTYPE IS
l_rec jr_test%ROWTYPE;
BEGIN
SELECT *
INTO l_rec
FROM jr_test
WHERE pk_id = p_id;
RETURN l_rec;
END record_to_compare;
BEGIN
FOR x IN (SELECT *
FROM jr_test
ORDER BY pk_id /* desc */) -- ORA-22275 when order by pk_id asc
LOOP
l_rec_1 := x;
-- Get another record (it's always the same one in this test case)
l_rec_2 := record_to_compare(x.pk_id);
END LOOP;
END;With a descending order by clause (ie. null bfile first) it works OK.
With an ascending order by clause (ie. not null bfiles first) it crashes with ORA-22275.
It looks like a LOB initialisation problem, but I's welcome your comments.
Regards
JRHello
It doesn't actually appear to have anything to do with the order by as such, it is just the order in which the rows are accessed. I've modified your test case to just call the function in a specific order. However if I change to use a stored procedure with an OUT parameter, there is no such issue. I'll dig a bit more but maybe this helps narrow the field of search down a little...

Reading fixed length file with different record types
Hi,
I need to read a fixed-length file with different record types, but the record identifier is in 31st position and not in 1st position.
But if I give 31 as position in File adpater wizard, BPEL takes whole 1-31 as identifier.
How we need to read such files.
Thanks
Ravdeephi ,
u cannot use the default wzard for this
use some thing like this nxsd:lookAhead="30" nxsd:lookFor="S"have a look at the below link it has some examples
