Collor is different after printing
Hello,
I created a logo where I use the color "Pantone Process DS Cyan C".
On the screen it seems Cyan. When I print it it seems more blue than Cyan.
I then printed a test page to check in ink levels: Magenta, Cyan, Yellow and Black.
In the test page Cyan is really Cyan. The difference is quite easy to see.
What should I do? Am I using the wrong pantone?
I though using Pantone Process would be a good option.
Thank You,
Miguel
As far a I know and can see yu are correct in the first place there is no reason that using Pantone Porcess Cyan should not print as expected.
It is simply the same as any generic process cyan ink.
This is what might occur though if you proof to plain paper the ink is absorbed by the paper and there really is no way to make it match it will look blue, because there is no profile for that paper.
No one really expects accurate color on plain paper as there are so many versions of plain paper it is not practical to profile so plain paper is for draft.
If you want to see Cyan the use a paper design for quality or presentation prints designed for your printer and select the correct profile for that paper when printing.
Otherwise color management or not you can pretty much expect the unexpected.
Remember quality paper made for or compatible with your printer and the right profile.
You copy the profile to the proper color sync folder and then under color management in the print dialog you select that profile.
If is a paper made specificaaly for your printers manufacturer's printers then they are probably loaded when you installed the drivers for your printer.

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.
<Edited by Host>Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

Windows 8 and IE 10 crashed after printing from Report Manager SQL server 2008 / 2008 R2
We have a problem with Windows 8 in combination with IE 10 and printing reports.
When we print a report from the Report Manager 'http://<servername>/reports' the browser crashed after a print.
Sometimes before printing and somthimes after printing or when you close the browser.
Al other operating systems like XP, Vista, Windows 7 with different IE versions have no problem.
I tried the report manager from SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.
The same error occured when printing from our Internet application and the reportviewer.
(ASP application written in Visual Studio 2010 and reportviewer version 10.)
The event log shows two different messages.

Is there a fix for this problem?Dear Mike Yin,
Thank you for your response. Your answer was the
reason for finding the real problem.
In december 2010 a SQL Server 2008 fix was the cause. I don't remember exactly the problem, but we changed the RSCLIENTPrint-x86.cab file. But instead to use the version of SQL Server 2008 we used the version of SQL Server 2008
R2 (10.50.1600.1). This worked until
Windows 8 (Internet Explorer crashed when printing).
We fixed this problem by using the RSClientPrint-x86.cab file from SQL server 2008 (10.0.5500.0).
But we now get the known problem that the
activeX always must be installed again.
The reason for this is that the version of
the SQL Server (10.0.5512.0)
and the rsclientprint.dll (10.0.5500.0) is different. SQL Server is newer (caused
by a security patch (KB2716436)).
Do you know when this problem will be resolved
by Microsoft?
Work arrounds
I've also tried to install the RSClientprint.dll
every time automatically (without user interaction).
But this will be delayed the printing for more
than 4 seconds. This
is very annoying.
Another workaround is to generate a PDF and print the PDF. But this is also
a lot slower.
Uninstall the security patch. but I don't know the security risk. -
Print behaviour different from 'Print Preview' in PM Order
Hi gurus,
We have a requirement to check a user status at the Operation level before a print can be triggered from a PM Order in IW32. After changing the code to satisfy the requirement at the print program level, we are able to prevent the print if the user status is not set, when the user clicks the Print Preview button. However, if the user clicks the Print button, the header system status is being set to PRT, though the print program prevents the print from being output. After debugging, we found that the behaviour of the standard SAP ABAP code is different for Print compared to Print Preview.
Looking at the userexits "IWO1*", we weren't able to identify a suitable one that allows one to make this check before a print is triggered.
Have anyone come across this / a similar problem ? Is there a solution ? Any ideas ??
Cheers,
Ashok.Hi Narasimhan,
Yes, your guess is correct. We have tried out the possibility of controlling the print from the user status configuration side of things, but as the user status is at an Operation level, the system status at the header level still gets set, confusing the user that a print was created.
Any other ideas / alternates ?
Cheers,
Ashok. -
Using Photoshop CS6 and after printing approx. 10 cards on an Epson R3000 printer the program gives me a dialog box saying "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." Even after closing and reopening the program, the print command is greyed out so I cannot select any printer. This also happens with a Brother laser printer. Both printers will produce a test page out side of the Adobe product. Help!
I cannot get any help either. I get the message "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." I have reinstalled all drivers, powered off/on all printers (2 of them - a Brother HL - 4040cn and an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 - which all worked fine until this morning). There appears to be no path to a solution. I have read all the forums and tried about 20 different suggestions all to no avail. Reboots, changing cables, reinstalling printers and drivers and Photoshop CS6 - ALL TO NO AVAIL. On a macbook pro retina with 10.10.3. This issue is out there and some get solutions - but not all - that's my crowd...the not all crowd. I have yet to be able to print from CS6 any more. This is a show stopper and my patience is wearing thin. And I'm tired of stupid questions like "is your printer powered on?" give me a break. This appears to be an adobe photoshop cs6 problem - as I can print from every other application. Anyone have any ideas? Adobe should have something?... Adobe system info below:

Paper won't release after printing
I don't know if it happened after a techie at HP suggested a different driver to access the e-print functions on my HP Envy printer, but some times the paper won't be released after printing. I have to give it another function, then cancel the function, to get the printout.
Hi
I see.
Have you by chance set the Docked icon to Keep In Dock, found by clicking and holding down on the docked icon?
Furthermore you say the printer icon stays open showing a green arrow, so is that both the printer utility and the printer both showing in the dock?
i think normally, there should only be the printer utility, a green open printer symbol doesn't ring a bell, so to speak.

I'm using the addon in my firefox toolbar to print preview website data then append to a pdf file. Sometimes I am distracted, then can't remember if I've gone through the process and printed/appended the page to the file. It would be helpful if there was a way that the print preview window would close after printing thereby confirming that the process has completed. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply.
I'm running different versions of firefox on different computers. I'm aware of the upgrade procedures. Same issue in later versions as well.
The add-on is called "Print Preview Button 0.5" by sindre-wimberger which I obtained through the "Search Mozilla Support"
However, that's not really relevant - to bring this back to basics the same situation occurs if you do <File> <Print Preview> then print the document. The print preview screen remains until manually closed. Perhaps there is a setting in "about:config"? Does anyone know if this is so? There is an entry "print.whileinprintpreview" but not sure what setting does here. Suspect if set to "False" then you probably wouldn't be able to print from "Print Preview" screen.
Thanks. -
The paper after printing comes distorted and rolled with 2 sides
Hello! I've bought the HP LaserJet M1132 MFP All-In-One, and i've found that after printing (the quality is great) the paper comes rolled with both sides (left and right). The roll goes behind the printed side. When you put this paper on the table it's not straight, but like a hill.
How I can fix it? Only at service?
Paper is simple, A4 white, 80g/m2 office paper for laser printers.
1. HP LaserJet M1132 MFP.
Product number: CE847A
2. Snow Leopard 10.6.8
3. No errors
4. no changes
Thank you!Dear Vitaly,
You may have same output with different functions (Print/Copy)
Make sure you output tray is empty and output tray is totaly open.
It seems there’s no problem with the printer, Please make sure you paper is perfectly dry and the humidity is normal with in the environment. It could be the papers laying for long time in you printer’s input tray and got effected by moisture.
Try with fresh papers from new packet.
Goodluck!

System Slow-Down After Printing
I recently installed Mountain Lion. Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed a significant operating system (10.8.2) slow down after printing with my Epson R3000 printer. This happens after every printing session. When I say slow-down I mean significant delays and dreading "beachballs" when opening applications, selecting menu items or anything else I should choose to do. I'm left with re-starting the computer to get going normally again. After re-atarting I have gone to "verify permissions" and I get approx "5" pages of permission errors, all associated with the printer library in some fashion or another. I then repair all those permissions and re-start my MacPro. The operating system then works as normal and I can use the computer with no problems (until I start printing again). I mainly use the computer for photo editing with Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Lightroom 4 and Aperture 3.2.
I did not have this problem before upgrading to Mountain Lion (and then to 10.8.2). I did not get "significant" permission errors before upgrading. Since all printer drivers for this printer are handled now by Apple via the "new" Software Update process I can't even re-download the Epson printer driver and start over. I'm completely at a loss as to what, associated with the printer function, is causing these "significant" permission errors and subsequent operating system slow down. My printer is almost brand new and was working flawlessly before Mountain Lion. Let me be clear though, I can print fine. My problem is the system slow down after using the print function which I am only guessing has something to do with the "5" pages of permission errors after printting photos (with CS6/Lightroom/Aperture).
Incidently, I am not in any way a computer expert. Verifying and repairing permissions is about all I know how to do that's why I need help. I also just thought I would try the forums first before going to technical support to see what people thought about this.
Again, I repair the permission errors, re-start my system and all is fine. Any further suggestions would be deeply appreciated. When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

PowerPoint using macro to delete text boxes after printing
Hi,
We created custom shows in Powerpoint and are running a macro to insert temporary page numbers on the slides before printing. The issue is that I need to remove the page numbers after printing. I'm a novice at VBA so I'm sure there is an easy
solution, but nothing I've tried so far has been successful. The code is displayed below for your reference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

According to the description, you want to remove the shapes which created after you print the presentaion.
I suggest that you name the shape you added with some rule, then we can delete thease shapes via the name rule.
And here is a sample that you delete the shapes which name contains the
myShape words on the first slide for your reference:
Sub deleteShapes()
For Each aShape In Application.ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes
If InStr(aShape.Name, "myShape") Then
aShape.Delete
End If

Adobe XI remains open after printing from command line
I am using a program to collect, batch print and delete multiple PDF files.
The following command line is used to print the files, after which the file is deleted and next file is collected.
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /T /N FileName.pdf
I have now upgraded to Adobe XI, however Adobe remains open (and minimized) after sending the print job to the printer, resulting in my programing freezing while waiting to delete.
Is there a parameter to close Adobe after printing?
This is rather urgent as we have started rolling out the new Adobe XI.
OS = Windows7 Prof x64Command line parameters are sparsely documented and are officially not supported. What is documented can be found here: http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/sdk/pdf/intro_to_sdk/DeveloperFAQ.pd f

The XCarlink iPhone/iPod accessory for Mazda Bose autochangers is functioning differently after iOS 5.1. The Shuffle function no longer works and it plays Albums or Genius Playlisys only (not self-made playlists). Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Previously, the iPod function enabled one to see the track that was playing and control playback (such as repeat or shuffle) via the iPhone screen. Now all I see is an "Accessory Connected" message.Somewhere in there, is there a question for us, your fellow users in these user to user support forums?

HP laserJet 5200dtn making buzzing/humming noise after printing
Hi,
We have about three of these units in our office and one of them has recently began to make a loud buzzing/humming noise during and after printing a document. THe noise last about 5-10 seconds after the print job completes. I can also make the printer buzz by removing the duplexer and puting it back in. The printer seems to load and then the buzz noise happens, again for about 5 seconds. I am aware of normal noise from these printers and this buzz is not normal.
This noise gets louder as the day goes on. Could this be a fan motor going bad? We need to do somthing to get it quieter.
Any help or suggestions?
Thanksany suggestions?

After printing, my swing gui takes 3 times as long to update 2d graphics (using paintComponent). Before printing, it updates very quickly, and the slowdown only occurs after printing. Anyone know how to fix this?

Black spaces in Acrobat, text after printing
Hello, may I get help please - in some documents, there are black places in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 where after pringting is a proper text. I checked for updates, there are none available. Also, in Adobe Reader, the text (or pictures) is visible as it is after printing. The only problem then is in Adobe Acrobat. Would you know where is a problem? Thank you in advance!
