Color accent application for N8
Hi guys
I love the color accent option in shooting pictures and wondered whether there is an application for my nokia which will enable this feature on my phone
An example of what I mean: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1017/627354251_f656f4f54b.jpg
Thanks for any help in advance
You can find them on the Nokia (or ovi) store app on your phone or here:

How to synchronize Creative Suite applications for consistent color?
Wondering how to synchronize Creative Suite applications for consistent color? (On a Mac.)
artificial "suites"
I don't agree with that; some of these applications are very tightly integrated with a seamless cross-app workflow.
Anyway: In itself, there's no particular reason to have the apps "synchronized". Requirements are different in the various apps, and my color settings are deliberately unsynchronized. But until you understand more about what the different color settings do, it's a simple safeguard against surprises.
In Photoshop, working on RGB (or CMYK) raster image material, the all-important thing is to have color management policies set to "preserve embedded profiles". Any other setting is trouble waiting to happen. You may also want to work in a large space like ProPhoto to have maximum editing headroom.
But as soon as you get into CMYK and/or vector territory with ID and Ai, you don't want that because it can lead to a number of other problems on press. For CMYK you'll want to ignore profiles and preserve numbers, then reassign the correct profile for output. Using ProPhoto for RGB vector is also totally pointless. Just mentioning this to put this into context.
If you do want to synchronize, you do it in Bridge as station two said. But all it means is having the same settings in each app's color settings, and you can do that manually as well. -
Color management settings for the best print output
Color Management while Printing has been one of the challenging areas which has been discussed a lot over user forums and has been a painful area in terms of clear understanding while taking print outputs.
Here is an easy-to-understand KB (Knowledge Base) article ‘Color management settings for the best print output’ to help you get the best from your printers using PSE and bridge that knowledge gap.
This article explains color management in Photoshop Elements, how to get better prints, and addresses some of the following issues like horizontal/vertical streaks in print output, too dark or too light print output, ICC profile problems and Color differences between prints from PSE and other applications.
Thanks,
GarryThanks Noel.
Yes have shared in PSE forum as well. But I usually drop such posts on PS General forum so community moderators as well as our power users who mostly use both PS or PSE or are aware about can communicate to their students, audiences etc.
The idea is to reach out the message to as many as folks via relevant forums. Most of my otehr posts have found mentioned only on PSE forum.
Thanks for the feedback Nice to hear such a great feedback within 5 mts of publishing

Color space support for png files
kindly suggesting :
color space support for png files, requiring the support (read/write) of the chunks: iCCP, cHRM, gAMA, sRGBHi ChrisT,
Thanks for the suggestion. I went to:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4148...
Which is the software update page for my model. I see 10 items under Software Solutions, 8 of which are just video tutorial updates, not actual application updates (and none of those are for the Photo App). The two application updates are:
HP TouchSmart Recipe Box Application Update
HP Support Assistant Application Update
So, are you saying that PNG file types are supported in some versions of the Photo App and I don't have the correct version? Or in other words, what am I missing?
Cheers,

What is the size of particles in the color sphere toner for the laser jet 2605dn?
I want to know the size of the particles on the color sphere toner for the HP laserjet 2605dn. I want to print color decals on this printer but I have to use ceramic pigments that will survive the firing at 1400 farenheit...Black, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta. I am not thinking on the iron oxide on the toner, I am thinking in Cobalt oxide, and 3 other oxides. Can I modify the settings or fill the cartridges with ceramic pigments? Can you refer my question to the person handling the toner specifications?
Thanks,
MiriamThank you Alan and know you are right. I really can do all I need with my netbook and ereader and do not need the ipad. I think I just wanted something new and felt I may enjoy using it a lttle more than the netook. But it would be a waste just to buy one when I donlt acutally need it And, donl't think it is worth the extra money for me the get the 4g wireless capability since I doubt I would really need it often.
I may treat myself to the Ipad for the color, touchpad and fun to use but it is very expensive considering how little it will do for me no more than the things I want it for. It woudl be and expensive luxuray, I can do without. I actually need t learn how to use more of the function avaiable first. Maybe I should take up playing games and learning to take digital pictures so I can at least load them. If I could learn to do that and take a decent picture, I could start selling back all the "stuff" I have purchased on ebay. haha - I do have a nice doll collection, I would like to sell. I just do not have room for anything else. That was the primary purpose for the Kindle Ereader I bought and enjoy so much,
But, I will hold onto the thought for a while and see how it goes and what other comments I get, If I think I cannot live without it, then I will have to rethink which one to buy, I coud get the 32 g if I did not have to pay for the 4g wireless. And, if I knew I could get help to teach me how to use and enjoy all the functions, I would give it more serious consideration. My granddaugther got one for Christmas and that was what got me interested in it. I love the size of the screen and it had good color and was fast. She even had an application where she could write her notes and it would convert into typed words. That was a neat feature, If you could print it?
But thanks again for your comments and I will check later to see I get any other feedback.

My computer had crashed and I couldn't find my lightroom 1.1 program so I downloaded a free trial and it was of 1.3. I was working on a portrait and I had converted it to a black and white and did a color accent with a wand in the 1.3 version. Later I found my program, uninstalled the free trial and put my program 1.1 back on there. Now I can't find the wand that I used to do that with. I had this program for a while and never really used it because I did everything that I needed to in photoshop. I have downloaded the update to 1.3 but I still can't figure out HOW I did the black and white with the color accent. I have searched for 2 days trying to figure it out... can anyone help me?????
Aaah...
In that case, you absolutely have to check out Photoshop Elements. Get the free trial first and, if you like it, shop around for a good price. Several years ago, I was paid a penny to get it! At the time, the list price was $69.99 but the retailer had a $30 rebate and Adobe had a $40 rebate for those with a previous version. I paid the $69.99 but got $70 back in rebates!
The full Photoshop is horrendously expensive but, if you have a teacher in the family, the educational discount is phenomenal.
By the way, PS and PSE support layers, which makes a lot of photo work real easy. Here's some of my shots. -

Configuring Lync Server 2013 to be a partner Application for Exchange 2013
Hello Guys,
I just want to share my experience while configuring Lync server 2013 to be a partner Application for exchange 2013 sever.
As mentioned on technet you need to run Configure-EnterprisePartnerApplication.ps1 script that ships with Exchange 2013.
But when I tried to run the script as described on the technet article, I found it always fails with " the accepted domain is not valid"
I have checked my accepted domains many times and i found that there's no issues with my configured accepted domain.
So I started to review the script to find the issue and I found that the script was configured as below
$acceptedDomains = Get-AcceptedDomain ;
if ($acceptedDomains -eq $null)
WriteError ("There is no accepted domain so user can not be created.")
$acceptedDomain = $acceptedDomains[0].Name;
if($UseDomainController -eq $true)
$user = New-MailUser -Name $username -DomainController $DomainController -ExternalEmailAddress $username@$acceptedDomain;
set-mailuser -Identity $user.Identity -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $true -DomainController $DomainController
else
$user = New-MailUser -Name $username -ExternalEmailAddress $username@$acceptedDomain;
set-mailuser -Identity $user.Identity -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $true;
which is totally wrong as below:
firstly it makes $AcceptedDomain variable to equal the Name of the accepted domain.
Not all customers configure the name of the Accepted Domain to be the Domain Name.
Secondly it makes $AcceptedDomain variable to equal the name of the first Accepted Domain.
The first domain may be not the default Accepted Domain.
So I have configured the script as below
$acceptedDomains = Get-AcceptedDomain | ? {$_.Default -eq "True"} ;
if ($acceptedDomains -eq $null)
WriteError ("There is no accepted domain so user can not be created.")
$acceptedDomain = $acceptedDomains.DomainName;
if($UseDomainController -eq $true)
$user = New-MailUser -Name $username -DomainController $DomainController -ExternalEmailAddress $username@$acceptedDomain;
set-mailuser -Identity $user.Identity -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $true -DomainController $DomainController
else
$user = New-MailUser -Name $username -ExternalEmailAddress $username@$acceptedDomain;
set-mailuser -Identity $user.Identity -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $true;
I hope This help.
Thanks
Ahmed FouadHi,
This is helpful, thanks for sharing.

How to enable a partner application for Single Sign-On?
Can someone please advise me on how to enable my existing J2EE web application for the Oracle Single Sign-On?
My requirement is i want to provide the single sign-on authentication service to my J2EE web application. For this, I would like to make my application as a partner application similar like the OracleAS Portal.
I am using Oracle 10g ( OralceAS, Oracle Infra, OID ...)
I found the following service/APIs which Oracle provides. I am not sure which one is suitable for me.
1. mod_osso ( Static)
--- In this case, I have to make a entry in mod_osso.config file to protect the URL. should I have to register the URL again through single sign on admin page ("Administer Partner Application") after make a entry in config file?
2. mod_osso ( Dynamic directive)
-- in this case, I have to modify the code by providing the directives like 401, 499.. etc. So i don't prefer this as i don't want to touch my app.
--If I go with this option, should i have to register the URL with Single sign on server through SSO admin page ( as mentioned in the above step#1) ?
3. SSO SDK
- Since it was deprecated and need java coding, i am prefer this option.
-- however, if i go with this option, i will develop code by using SDK. in this case i need to register the URL in SSO server through admin page.. am i right?
Note:- OSSO server integrated with Active Directory for the authentication.
Thanks,

From my understanding, once I am able to set the user information in HTTP header, it is in base 64 format?Your application need to act like a proxy. You can invoke a HTTP request programmatically using java.net.URLConnection. You can set request headers using URLConnection#setRequestProperty(). Also see the API docs: [http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/net/URLConnection.html]. You only need to know the header field name where to set the Base64-encoded value in. You need to Base64-encode the value yourself. -
How to set up FSCM 9.0 Application for Customers to use ?
Folks,
Hello. I have just installed FSCM 9.0 ( all of its modules) and run the application in Browser successfully. The Database is a clean System Database without any Demo data (Production Database).
In order for Customers to type in their data into the application, we need to set up CharFiled, SpeedType, SetID, common data in Controls Tables in the Database. In Menu, there is "Setup Financial/Supply Chain", and under PeopleTools, there is "Setup Manager". But I don't understand where to start to set up the application FSCM 9.0 application.
Do any folks understand the procedure to set up FSCM 9.0 application for Customers to use step by step ?

I have installed FSCM 9.0 all of 50 modules. I just want to implement General Ledger module. Thus, I create a project named "General Ledger" in Setup Manager under PeopleTools as follows:
PeopleTools -> Setup Manager -> Manage Implementation Project -> Create New Project by Product -> select "General Ledger" ->View Summary -> Save -> Type in "General Ledger" in Project Name Box -> Click ok -> click "generate setup tasks" -> click "setup task generation status"
It has been for a long time, I still see "Run Status" is always "Queued". The button "View Setup Task" does not become clear. This means the process is not completed.
Do we need to configure Process Scheduler at first before run Setup Manager ? If yes, how to configure Process Scheduler for Setup Manager to generate a list of setup tasks of a project ?
Thanks. -

CVHi CV,
Oracle Application Development Framework Mobile (ADF Mobile) browser is a standards-based framework that enables the rapid development of enterprise mobile applications. Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g release 1 of ADF Mobile browser extends Oracle ADF to browsers running on mobile devices. Because ADF Mobile browser is built upon the component model of Java Server Faces (JSF), you can quickly develop applications for mobile browsers. ADF Mobile browser's mobile-specific extensions to JSF enable you to develop mobile applications using the same methodologies for developing JSF applications for the desktop.
