Color Auto Values: Premiere vs AE

Got a lot of footage where I quickly need to white balance and grade just a bit. Would love to do this in Premiere and I've taken all the tutorials.
I detest fiddling around with Fast/Thee Way/RGB Corrector in Prem. I get so lost after a while.
So on a lark I took the footage into AE and used Auto Levels. WOW. AE auto levels - while not being perfect - got me crazy close to properly exposed and white balanced footage -- way way way closer than any auto stuff in Prem.
On top of that, the info pallete in AE lets me see mathematically that my white is indeed really white. These are shots where lighting is consistent throughout. But AE doesn't have any scopes unless you go into Synth Aperature. Ugh.
I'd love to be able to find a tool in Premiere Pro that with one click or effect preset gets me the results that auto levels in AE gets me, the Fast CC just isn't cutting it.
I don't want to learn yet another CC system, but if Speed Grade is what people are turning to now... maybe I should?

I suggest that its worth your time and effort learning to CC and Grade with a tools such as Three Way corrector.  Its a fundamental skill and even one that applies to knowibng how to shoot video properly.
3 way has tools that will white balance
....but basic grading is.simple: Set Black Level (first) Set White Level, Set Gamma...and then the other parameters if/as required.
Work on one clip. save effect as a preset and apply it to your other clips. or even to an adjustment layer that covers all your clips
If you have CC2014...you even can apply it to all the clips in the Project Bin.  Thats a Master Clip function

  • Background Color - RGB Value

    Hello,
I have embedded a video in this post. I have a FCP background color RGB Value 102, 151, 202. YOu can see the bad results in the video. The text almost starts out gray, then fades into white - which it should just simply fade in.
If I place the background in Motion - I don't have this issue - but I use Motion for titling.
Keep in mind, this is simply a test project, not the real project i was working with, but I replicated the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry for the issue that you are hitting now.
This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.

    Hi gop4sap11 ,
Autometically subtotal is coming  coloured that is fine, but my requirment is like,,,
can i manually coloured subtotal value of any particular node of any column based on some condition??
for ex: node name  : -
    af
    coloumn name : ---abc    bcd
    60       70
can i colore 60 or 70 in red colore?
subtotal is calculating using standard method

  • Should I color correct in Premiere Pro or something else?

Hey guys, I'm an experienced noob in digital video production. I learned on using an HD camera and Final Cut Pro 7 in my communications class. But now that I graduated, I bought myself a t3i and the adobe creative cloud. My question is, should I color correct in Premiere Pro or another suitable program (the only one I sort of know is Davinci Resolve lite)? Sure, I know it can be done in Premiere Pro, but I was wondering if there is a better alternative that I should focus my learning in for color correction. Thanks in advance!

It will do you till you get there.
A comprehensive study of CC / Grading techniques and theory ...will do more good than just learning how to work a CC Grading software application.

  • To retain color space value for Monochrome images during flattening.

In our project, we are extracting image content from PDF file and doing some raster operation by using LeadTool and then flattening the processed image in PDF file.
Input PDf file: One page which has monochrome image
For extracting image content from PDF file, we are using below Acro Plugin API:
    AVConversionConvertFromPDFWithHandler
After this, we will perform some raster operations by using LeadTool and then flattening will happen.
While doing flatten we are performing below operations in sequence:
    1. Set bitspercomponent  =1.
    2. Create a new color table using DeviceRGB.
    3. Create image by using below Acro Plugin API:
    pdeimage = PDEImageCreate(&attrs, sizeof(attrs), &matrix, 0, cols1, NULL, &fil, asstm, NULL, 0);
    4. Add image in PDF content.
Now flattening is successful, but monochrome(Original Image format) is changed to RGB. We want to retain the color space(DeviceGrey).
We have tried the below solution to retain the color space:
    1. Using the old image's color space value for new image creation. But this gives inverted color(Black to White and vice versa)
Please help us to retain the color space while flattening.

We are using JPG file format.
Please find below the code portions which we used to add image in PDF file,

  • Different color for values in dropdown list

    Hi All,
I have a dropdown list, is it possible individually color the values in the list like first and third green 2 and 5th values blue etc.
    Thanks

    Hi,
the f:selectItem component does not have a style class or inline style property. Thus, I don't see how this can be done unless you write a custom solution like outlined here

  • FAQ: How do I color grade a Premiere Pro sequence in Adobe SpeedGrade?

How to color grade a Premiere Pro sequence in Adobe SpeedGrade
You can color grade (color correct) Premiere Pro sequences directly in Adobe SpeedGrade. The workflow differs between SpeedGrade CS6, SpeedGrade CC (7.0.1), and SpeedGrade (7.1, and later) with its Direct Link workflow.
Please refer to the version you are using.

  • SSRS - Expression to color column value dynamically in Matrix

    Hi ,
I have a matrix which looks like :
    The <<Expr>> value can be 1 /0 /"-" .
The Expr value is being calculated dynamically.
The data set query I am using has a column called due_days.
In the color expression of the <<Exp>> box I am using the expression as :
    =IIf(Fields!Due_Days.Value>14  and Fields!Notes_Count.Value>0,"Blue",(Iif(Sum(Fields!Notes_Count.Value)=0 ,"Red","Black")))
My requirement is if the Due_Days column value is >14 then I need to highlight the value as blue else black and if value is 0 then red. When I use the above query it is just highlighting the color blue for 1st column only. Eg: 4th row . Due days for month
of Oct and Nov is > 14 but it shows blue only for month of oct.
How can i resolve the issue?

In select query i have 5 columns:
Due days(Which is difference between 2 dates) ,
Notes count (Which is just a count of notes  entered or not having value 0/1  and value '-' if another column CRD is greater than the matrix month and year.)Eg: below date 11/12/2014 is greater than Oct 2014 hence Oct 2014 should have "-"
Month Name , Year , Month Nbr (last 6 months which I cross joined with the table to get counts for each month)
The matrix has year and last 6 month  as column groups
Color coding should be if notes count is 0 then red  ,if notes count is 1 and due_days> 14 then blue else black . When i try to use expression for color as i mentioned above, it colors only 1st colum.eg:  2nd row
Nov 2014 is blue but for jan 2014 also it should show blue as due days>14 .
Is there any way i can do that ??
Eg: data set returns value as :
    Due Days        CRD                              Month
    Month_Nbr    Year   Notes _Count
    5             2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    December          12         2014
    0
    5               2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    February           2         2015
    0
    5             2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    January              1           2015
    0
    5            2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    November          11          2014       1
    5            2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    October              10          2014        0
    5            2014-11-28 00:00:00.000    September          9           2014         0
Matrix is of the form :
                  YEAR
                  MONTH
    CRD        Notes_count

  • Any way to set color for value in chart and still filter out values (but retain colors)?

Is there any way that I can hard code a color into a chart and still filter out values?
I have 5 divisions, each with a specific color.  I have put them into a stacked column chart and it looks fine.  My issue arises when I try to filter out some of the divisions.  The colors do not stay with the specified divisions.
    Ex.)
      Div 1 = Red
      Div 2 = Green
      Div 3 = Black
When I filter out Div 1, this is what I see:
    Div 2 = Red
    Div 3 = Green
I have tried standard delivered filter panel, and check-boxes using CHART_1.setDataSelection( )
It seems like the color hard coding in the "additional" properties of the chart are not tied to the value, but are determined by sort order.  Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi,
There is one Possibility bu not By chart .
It will look like chart but will use Text box .
Lets say you have 5 Divisions & 3 Key figures .
    Then You need 5 * 3 = 15 Text box .
Arrange them in 5 columns and 3 rows type of view .
    now .
set fix width for all .
set the height & position by coding
You need to set this type of code for filter selection also .

  • Color Finesse in Premiere Pro?

In the November Issue of Sound on Sound Magazine Mark Butler did a review of CS5 Production Premium, and states the following:
"The version bundled with After Effects is Color Finesse 3 LE, and it can also be used directly in Premiere Pro if you like."
How can I do this? I cant find CF in the effects bin or anything and its not that ideal to use Dynamic Link if you want to go back and modify your cuts..

    Thanks Colin!
