Color Board Preset Won't Save

I'm feeling really dumb here. Someone stop me if this sounds wrong...
This is straight from the help...
Save a color correction preset
In the Timeline, select a clip that has the color correction look you want to save, and open the Color Board.
Choose Save Preset from the Action pop-up menu (the little gear icon) in the lower-right corner of the Color Board.
Type a name for the preset and click OK.
OK, so I do that, and go back to that preset list, except... my named preset is nowhere to be found.
Any chance there's something else I've done that could affect this? It seems so remarkably straight forward.

I'm having the same issue - not finding a 'saved' preset...
When I go to delete the two preference files you indicate, this is where it gets interesting. I had first downloaded the trial version of FCP X, then purchased the application.
When I look in the folder I see:
User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.FinalCut.plist and
User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.FinalCutTrial.LSSharedFileList.plist. (note "trial")
Yikes! I wonder how many other FC files have "trial" associated with them? What to do?

Which color-board preset did I use?

The color-board offers a long list or presets (under the gear icon, lower right)
When I later edit a project, the color-board's buttons indicate, I applied corrections, but not WHAT preset I used (if I used a preset....)

being a hobbyist and coming from iMovie (which has this interface 3 more years longer...), there are some so obvious features missing, that I sometimes wonder about the workflow of 'pros'.
or about my amateur workflow.
it doesn't only shows which effect was used, but the most 'dramatically' missing feature is a mark/colorful line, which shows me, which frames I had used already in the Event Browser! in iM, an orange line says: this part of the clip was used in your actual project - dead simple, and for my needs very usefull.

Image Export Presets won't save

Hey folks, since I've upgraded to Aperture 2.1, I hadn't setup any new export presets since using Aperture 1.5 and noticed that my export behaviour is all messed up.
Specifically - if I try to add my own preset, upon hitting the OK button and revisiting the image export preset screen, my added presets do not persist!
Even more surprisingly, if I delete many of the existing presets (say all the TIFF presets) when I come back to the Image export presets the deleted presets have returned from the dead.
Can anyone provide some insight on this? I can't find any other place in Aperure or the OS that governs the preset settings.

Fyi - if you run into this problem completely un-installing and re-installing Aperture seems to have fixed it.
I'm not clear on what lead up to the issue tho.

Remove Color Correction Preset?

Being able to save a color correction preset is great (in the sprocket menu in the color board.)
But to avoid clutter, and since I'll probably never use the one I just created again after this project, anybody know how to remove them?
Is it possible at this point? Can't find it anywhere in the manual, or in any associated menus.

XY Graph Won't save to JPEG when Black and White...and run from TestStand.

I am creating an XY graph and manipulating the colors of the plots, background, etc. I am saving this graph to JPEG using the Write JPEG File vi and after it is saved I import it inot a test report. This works fine in color, but when I create a B&W plot, it won't save to JPEG. Let me clarify: It won't save to JPEG when I run the VI from TestStand. It does save to JPEG when I run the VI as a stand alone application in LabVIEW.
Problem:
Run VI from LabVIEW ~ Saves the JPEG in both Color and B&W.
Run VI from TestStand ~ Saves the JPEG in Color, but does not save the JPEG in B&W.
Here is how I am making all the plots and background B&W in my code:
Change all Active Plots to Black using property node.
Change all Active Cursors to Black using property node.
Change the Plot BG colors (major/minor grids, etc) to lighter colors using property node.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

A few questions: What version of LV are you using? How are you getting the control image that you are sending to the JPG? Third what exactly happens when you try to save the B/W image under TestStand? Error?

Hi,
Try saving your settings as a Preset by clicking the Preset drop down and then select Save Current Settings as a Preset.
Next try changing the settings by selecting the saved preset.
That allow saving the settings for a specific printer, I assume it may also allow selecting these settings for another printer.

Color Correction preset plug-in

Yes, I too have entered the PLUG-IN making arena. Well...kinda. This is a 3-way Color Correction preset that I made and turned into a plugin.
I had a look for my recreations that I really loved...a preset in Magic Bullet. But the render time was going to be NUTS...so I saw how close I could come using the 3-Way Color Correction tool. Well, I nailed it. I got it to look EXACTLY the same. At first it was completely RT...no rendering whatsoever. But I have to limit the Luma so that my whites stayed white while all the other colors were affected, so now it is a light green render. Still...what would have taken me 10 minutes to render now takes me under 1 min...that that is a HUGE bonus.

It is called SR Color Reversal (SR=Shane Ross). Color Reversal film stock is very colorful, but has a low "latitude"...difference between darks and brights, so the image "pops."
Unzip it and install it into your PLUGINS folder in the following path:
HARD DRIVE>LIBRARY>APPLICATION SUPPORT>FINAL CUT PRO SYSTEM SUPPORT>PLUGINS. It will appear in the Color Correction folder in the Effects tab. And it is completely modifyable...as it is a 3-way CC preset. The colors and saturation should be set, but depending on how your footage is lit, you need only adjust the LOWs and MIDs slider to brighten the image. But not too much. How I retain the rich color is by crushing the blacks.
Play with it and let me know how it works. Built with FCP 5.0.4.

Yeah. When I have the time I will do all of my favorite "looks" I have created.
I didn't realize how easy it was to save the presets as a plugin.
Plus I have to figure out how to limit the controls, so that there are only a couple sliders to adjust.
Now if I can only make the plugin my producer requested...one that lengthens the time of the show, but keeps the same pace. Anyone?

Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne Freez & Time won't save in Vista

Hi Guys,
I have a 24" 2.4, the computer froze when I try to quit WC3, this has happened twice already. Is there a fix.
Also, I have vista installed with bootcamp, whenever I boot into Vista, the time would be wrong. I keep changing it but it won't save.

Argh! I spoke too soon! I had powered down the PC before I went to bed, last night. Upon reboot, this morning, I was greeted with the all too familiar F1/F2 halt screen! I needed to go back in and set my CMOS settings back to what I needed (date/time/boot order, etc).
The only thing lowering the speed of the memory seems to have accomplished is that the PC no longer power-cycles on F10/save in CMOS. Powering off the PC brings back the issue (I am going to have to test whether going into hibernate may be a way around it...but, I doubt it.
So...is anyone else having these memory issues? Should I even have BIOS 1.2 on this SLI board (it's what MSI has installed on both boards...the one I shipped to them and the re-certified one they sent me)...I keep hearing that 1.1 is the latest?
Are there any other memory settings I could try to use to permanently get around this problem?
Is anyone else using this same memory with no problems (I noticed that the 2GB Corsair memory is not even listed in the manual that came with this MLB)?
Should I just buy new/different memory, and if so, what brand/type seems to be the most stable?
Any help is appreciated. So far, this MSI board (my 1st) has been a major disappointment and cause of frustration.

Voice Memos won't save my recordings?

I'm in college so I usually record my classes for further detailing, but I just recently discovered that Voice Memos just won't save my recordings like 2/5 of the time. I already lost like 4 important ones for the past 3 days.
The thing is that I see it recording, but it just doesn't save it, and it's just sitting there at 00:00:00 with the name tag I had put. I want to die.

- Does you iTunes library already contain a Voice Memos playlist? Some users have had to manually create it in order for the sync to occur.
- Also try resetting your iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Photos won't save to camera roll

Since I installed iOS7, all the pictures I take with the camera won't save to camera roll. I see them in the lower corner of the camera but when I click on it, they are not in the camera roll. In the camera roll, I just have a bunch of pictures that I deleted months (or years!) ago. I uninstalled my profile and reinstalled it two or three times with always the same result.
All the settings are ok.
I installed the profile of a friend on my phone to test it and everything works fine with his profile.
Anyone can help me out with this issue?

bluetooth is an APPLE issue: they have blocked many of the 'normal' bluetooth features on 'other' handsets..
an example you may be thinking of is Sharing a photo via Bluetooth .. simple everywhere else, but can not be done on iphone
-you have to use it via an app such as iphoto, or send it attatched via an email, from the iphone.

If you just got your new MBP you have phone support from Apple (which is quite good) call them. 800-692-7753 tell the automated answerer "mail technical support" you'll have human quite quickly. Hope this helps.

My iPhone 4 refuses to save pictures and at some instances, delete my existing pictures. I take a picture, and then go to camera roll and look, but it doesn't show up. The same thing happens when I try to screenshot things; it won't save.

My iPhone 4 is severely making me mad. It won't save any pictures I take. I will take the picture, then go to view it in the Camera Roll, and it just won't be there. The same thing occurs when screen shotting things on my iPhone. Some times it won't even let me delete the existing pictures I had on my phone before this all happened. I will click delelte, then it will pause, and eventually close me out of the photos app. However, when I go to settings, it says I have 440MB of pictures on here somewhere. But I can oly see 3 pictures in the camera roll. Also, it says in the camera roll app that it is 'Restoring...' then just sits and loads and won't restore anything at all. HELP ME PLEASE. I have iOS 7.1 currently installed.

Have you Tried Clearing the The Cache in the Camera or Gallery in your Applications Area.. Go to Settings--> Applications--> Manage Applications--> Select All--> Clear the Cache in Both the Camera & Gallery Clearing the Data however might Clear you Pictures in your Gallery but if your Ok with it Give it a Shot,

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
Working now !!!!!

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

HP Color Laserjet 2605dn won't print the red color

My HP Color Laserjet 2605dn won't print the red color. It's comes out very light, barely a pink color. It's not the ink cartridge because it's full and I'm having this problem even when I change cartridges.
