Color burns on ipad 3?

Anyone else heard of an ipad 3 coming out of the box with color burns on it? I'm a little displeased with apple at the moment.
There are a few small areas on the screen that have a red hue, almost like when you'd put a magnet to an old tube tv. I litteraly just opened the box as it was a gift. I'm assuming this is a permenant problem and ill have to exchange it tomorrow, but if I can avoid that it would be nice. I've already had my iphone 5 serviced once and then ultimately replaced since I bought it, so as you can imagine I'm getting sick of the going to apple for repairs on new products.
"Steve's not around? Sweet! Now we can half *** everything and rush it out the door..."

This is happening because you don't have a network connection. You may have Wifi turned on, but check the Network that you have joined. Is it valid? The reason I ask is because I had the same issue this morning. I finally realized that the network that my iPhone had picked up was not a valid Wifi network, so I wasn't really on the internet.
Are you seeing the Wifi icon on the top of the screen?
Cheers,
GB

  • Color Burn inverts color!! Not working!!

Hello! I have recently started to work with different VFX for example man getting shot and blood comes out.
I have action essentials and when i add the blood and put color burn on the black background is still there and a different color appears on the blood itself in the middle!
This is really frustrating and it keeps me from finishing my project. Thanks

Why would you use Color Burn on a black background? This isn't even a specific issue with Action Essentials, you simply lack a basic understanding of how blending modes work and when to use which. Sorry, but you really need to start at the beginning:

  • Blending with Color Burn not working

I have an image in which I simply duplicated the background layer and changed the Blending Mode to Color Burn and it creates a very dark and dramatic result which I love. However, when I save it back to Lightroom (or anywhere else it turns out) as a TIFF, JPG, or PSD it always looks considerably lighter and loses the look. I thought i read somewhere about this blending mode using "transparent pixels (I don't even know what that means) and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem...
    Thanks all!

We can't know. We don't know the exact settings you used in the timeline nor any other details like what version of AE, what system and so on, since you haven't bothered to provide them. From your shapes not being properly pre-composed to issues with 3D render order and collapsed transformations there could be anything going on. We simply don't know based on your insufficient info.

  • What is color burn layer?

I was reading one of techniques for removing blue haze from pictures.
The initial two steps were as follows:
    1. Click on your color burn layer
    2. Select all and copy the color burn layer only to the clipboard
I have never used "color burn layer".  So I have no idea what "color burn layer" is and how to create it.
Please asvise me how to creaste color burn layer.
    I have photoshop CS5 (with Windows 7).

It is not a tutorial.   Somebody asked the question in a photo forum.
I now lost the original webpage but I copied the anwer as follows:
Click on your color burn layer
Select all and copy the color burn layer only to the
    clipboard
Open a Hue/saturation adjustment layer but make no corrections just press OK.
Alt click on the Hue/adjustment layers mask this will make the screen go white.
Edit> paste... this will paste the color burn layer to the mask.
We must reverse the mask now so press Ctrl+I or Image>Adjustment>Inverse
Click on the adjustment part of the hue/saturation or Alt click on the mask again.
Now reduce saturation by moving the saturation slider to the left.
My question is how to careate color burn layer in CS5 photoshop.

  • Darken, Color Burn, Multiply?

Hi, I have looked everywhere and can’t find an answer to this. I am using Flash CS5 and I need to apply a “Transparency mode like: “Darken, Screen Multiply Color Burn, like in Photoshop to an imported image. Is this possible in Flash CS5 and how would I do it as I don’t see any options for it.

Glad it can be done. I converted my image to a “Graphic Symbol” instead of MC that’s why I couldn’t see the options. Thanks.
Only too bad there is no option for “Color Burn” guess I will have to use “Subtract" instead.

  • Color distortion in iPad Air

I just got the new iPad Air. But when I compare screen colors in my new iPad with the old one (the first iPad) and computer monitor, I can see the color distorton on iPad Air screen: yellow color is too sceaming, with a green nuance, the blue color has a violet/purple nuance; and the gray colors has the same violet tone. Is it some kind of my device’s defect or what? Couldn’ find any information about the possibility of color adjustment.

    HI,
Run the Apple Hardware Test to make sure it isn't the graphics card.

Also, go to the Apple Menu / Software Updates. Make sure your system software is up to date.

  • How do you burn an iPad movie to a dvd

how do you burn an iPad imovie to a dvd

    Don't know unless you try.
Did you know you can update the OS X to Maverisks 10.9  for free? Go to the App store. Then you can update iMovie if necessary.

  • 3D effect with color burn not rendering out. Please help.

    Hello,
I am rendering out a 3D effect using an adjustment layer with stroked lines. I have the transfer mode on these lines set to "classic color burn" because it's the look that I want. However when I render the effect out, the lines are almost invisible in the final render. I also have some lights in the scene and am using 3D element with a 3D object. Could the lights be causing a problem? I will attach a photo of the scene before and after render. Thanks in advance for any help!

Here are the pics. In the second set the rings almost disappear completely.

  • LCD burn on iPad mini 16gb updated from iOS 6.0 to iOS 7.1.1

My 16gb iPad Mini "iOS 6.0.3" updated to 7.1.1 observed LCD discoloration in three corners and I don't know what causes the problem. I just can remember once or twice overly charged for a couple or three (3) hours three weekds ago. All of the sudden the display discolored and corrupted. I have turned it off a couple of minutes twice and resulted the same (burned LCD portion) and looks corrupted screen. As I turned it off a couple of hours, the screen looks OK by then and it operates well but the map looks like burn in the screens is well defined.Does this screens follows to LCD burn? It can be replaced?By how much?Thank you

try doing a full system restore
Hold down the home button and power button at the same time. This forces the screen to fade and the Apple Logo to reappear. Don't let go of the buttons until the iPad shuts off.
Once the iPad is off plug the usb cable into the computer.
    Open iTunes
While holding down the Home button plug the cable into the iPad.
Contunue holding the home button until the you the itunes logo and the picture of the cable on the iPad screen. This may take up to 30seconds.
iTunes should now detect the iPad and you can perform a restore. Just follow the on screen instructions and it should restore.
Hopefully you have a recent back up.
If you have apple care on it, just take it down to another store and they will give you a brand new one

  • PDF colors wrong on ipad/iphone HELP!

When exporting PDFs from InDesign they look great on the computere but there is a HUGE color shift on the Ipad/Iphone. The main color is a rich purple which turns into neon blue on the iphone/Ipad.
Through research I have found that iphones/ipads show RGB color. I have tried ALL RGB settings in InDesign and the best that I get is a dark blue.
Has anyone been able to solve this???
    HELP!

I agree with Dov that this is an Apple iOS problem—there's no color management. But the problem is exacerbated if the PDF contains CMYK of any flavor—the further removed from device RGB the color is the worse the result.
You can see this if you make a document with a mix of CMYK and RGB and export it to PDF/X-4 where there are no color conversions and everything is profiled, vs. the same document converted and flattened to sRGB on export.
So here's an example showing why John Hawkinson's #3 suggestion is actually the best approach.
An InDesign page with SWOP CMYK and Adobe RGB objects. The Transparency Blend Space is RGB.
And the PDF/X-4 on an iPad where the CMYK objects completely fall apart because their profiles can't be used.
And the sRGB export, which isn't perfect but is considerably better, because sRGB is closer to the iOS device RGB than SWOP CMYK. The conversion to sRGB using an RGB Transparency Blend Space simply produces a better result:

  • Does Adobe Color CC (for iPad) work with CS6 (on computer)?

I have a mention of an update for Adobe Kuler on my iPad. it would be changed to Adobe Color CC. However before I update I want to make sure it would work for my Adobe CS6 programs on my computer? Or should i keep the older version of Adobe Kuler for iPad?
    thanks,
    Joleen

Can you explain what you want to do with CS6?  Themes you create with your iPad will be saved to the color service.  And, if you make those themes public, you will be able to access them via the old Kuler extension.

  • How do I tell what color my replacement iPad will be?

I have a replacement iPad being shipped to me but Apple Care didn't tell me what color it will be. Is there a way I can find out? My original iPad is white so will they just replace it with a white one?

An exchange under warranty is like for like which you can't change.
Since the original iPhone was released 5 years ago, I have not read any reports about Apple not being able to replace an iOS device under warranty like for like. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I haven't seen it reported here or anywhere else that I frequent.

  • Color Text on iPad Mail

Is it possible to use color highlighting in Mail on the iPad? And if so, why not? It shouldn't be that difficult to bring half a dozen fonts, just like we can do in iBooks. Then give an option of a small color palette.

    In a word, no.
The iPad's Mail application supports composing email in Plain Text only, which is the same with the iPhone and iPod Touch Mail application with all three devices running the same iOS.
I'm not a fan of composing email in anything other than plain text. If everyone used plain text for message composition - RTF and especially HTML was not supported for message composition, the majority if not all problems associated with exchanging email and message attachments would be eliminated.
