Color change in bridge

When I upload my raw images to bridge CS6, the colour changes right before my eyes. When images are out of focus{loading} I can see the correct color but as soon as the fully load, it changes. I didn't have this issue until I upgraded from CS5 to CS6. I'd like the color to remain the same as "in camera". I use a mac OSx ver 10.8.4 Please help me!
Thanks in advance!

Bridge thumbs build their view and preview according to your default raw settings in ACR. You can open a file in ACR and check what settings are selected (by default CS6 is set to the new 2012 process version and most sliders are set to zero, your color settings should be set to 'As shot' if you want them to show the WB you used when shooting.
There is also a big difference between the various camera Profile settings under the Camera Calibration tab (with the camera icon). Try what suits you best and when you are happy with these default settings use the tiny menu icon at the right sight of the bar directly under the icons in ACR and choose set camera raw defaults.
If you also use the camera raw preferences (Bridge menu Adobe Bridge CS6 / Camera Raw preferences) you can set these default to your specific camera (Make defaults specific to camera serial number) to have these settings applied to all the files shot with that camera.
While you are in this section of ACR preferences be sure to have the option to apply auto tone adjustment unchecked, this also can cause very odd colored thumbs and previews

• Image Colors Change in Bridge Preview Window

I edited some images first in Camera Raw and then Photoshop (CS5), all working in sRGB color space, and saved them as JPEGs. If I select one of these images in the Bridge content pane, minimize the Bridge window, then maximize the Bridge window, the image appears correctly in the Bridge content pane but the colors are incorrect in the Bridge preview pane. If I resize the view in the content pane, the image colors in the preview pane get corrected within a couple seconds. Likewise, if I click on another image and then back, the image colors are correct in the preview pane, but if I again minimize then maximize the Bridge window, the image colors in the preview pane are incorrect again.
Windows Explorer displays the image colors correctly. ZoomBrowserEX (browser software provided with Canon camera) displays the same image (same file) with incorrect colors. When I upload these JPEGs to my web photohosting site (PictureTrail), the images appear there with incorrect colors. That is where this issue becomes most problematic because with the colors being off, the images are useless for posting to online forums or classifieds.
It seems that the color in the JPEG is being read differently by different software, and is even being read differently under different circumstances within Photoshop (Bridge). Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change? Or some other issue? Thanks.....

I have a fair understanding of color profiles and color management. My monitor is a Dell UltraSharp U3011 set to the factory-calibrated sRGB display mode.
What makes me certain that this is not a simple matter of different color management in different applications is that Bridge is displaying the same JPEG file/image in two panes on the screen simultaneously and the colors do not match. Furthermore, the incorrect colors in the preview pane image change to the correct colors if I resize the thumbnails in the content pane, or click on another image and then back; and the colors in the preview pane go back to incorrect if I minimize then maximize the Bridge window. Seems to me that there must be something within that JPEG that is being interpreted differently in different circumstances that results in the "two versions" displayed within the same application (Bridge) on the same screen at the same time, and that other apps are interpreting one way or the other.

Exploring a bit further, I've realized that the same color display issue exists with the original JPEGs from my camera (Canon T1i, shooting in sRGB color space). So it seems the issue did not originate with settings etc. in Photoshop.... but Photoshop (Bridge) IS displaying "two versions" on same screen at same time, and so must be doing something different with the JPEG info in one pane vs. the other.

• Batch color change in Bridge

Good morning everyone,
I have a set of Jpegs I need to change the color space from Adobe to Standard, I then want to increase saturation 20%. How can I do that as a batch correction in Bridge?
Thanks

Believe you need to build an action to do the steps, label it, then select your images in Bridge and go to tools/photoshop/image processor and run the action.

• Camera raw changes color in adobe bridge and photoshop

Hi all, I am quite new to use RAW. I have raw files that I want to edit. Unfortunately, the moment I click on the raw files, the color changes.
Is there anything I should do to the color setting?
I am using a canon 20d and Adobe Photoshop, Bridge CS 3 and Adobe Camere Raw 4.0

The image is indeed rife with red color.
The fact that the embedded JPEG isn't quite as oversaturated with red as Adobe's conversion with the lowest color temperature of 2000 just says that Canon's conversions have more range at the low-end of the color temperature setting.
This is the color from the embedded JPEG. Clearly it's dominated by a reddish-orange color, though not as red as that from Adobe's software.
This is the color from Adobe Camera Raw's conversion at the (low-end minimum) color temperature of 2000:
This is the photo converted with Canon DPP using "click white balance" on the bridge beam on the left:
Note, however, that (though the dropper seems to have incredible range) DPP does not allow you to specifically SET a color temperature lower than 2500K, which yields this color:
The bottom line here is that the "Click White Balance" function in Canon's DPP has far more range than ACR, where even the white balance dropper "mins out" at 2000K.
That's something the Adobe folks may want to look into, to extend the range of ACR's capabilities to suit this kind of IR photography.

• I'm trying to change a color setting in bridge

I'm trying to change a color setting in bridge and I get the following message "Suite color management is not enable"
How do I enable it???

I'm new to CS4 and bought a book called "Adobe Photoshop CS4 one-on-one and when installing it it has me change the color settings in Photoshop which I was able to do. Then it tell me if I own the full Creative Suite 4 to change the setting in Adobe Bridge. Question, I have Adobe Photoshop CS4, is that the full Creative Suite Package??

• I have jumped from 5.1 to CC. When I open a file originated in illustrator 5.1 in CC it changes the CMYK breakdown. Have tried colour setting changes in Bridge but still have differences. Help!

I have jumped from 5.1 to CC. When I open a file originated in illustrator 5.1 in CC it changes the CMYK breakdown. Have tried colour setting changes in Bridge but still have differences. Help!

Any warnings when opening the file?
You might need to reset all warnings in preferences.
Apart from that itlooks like your color management settings are set to convert into profile. This is absolutely not advisable.

• AI File Import - Color Changes on Paste

We are having a universal problem when pasting elements from
Illustrator CS3 (Mac OS X) into Flash CS3. If we choose to import
Paths as Vector, the color is changed. For example FF9900 becomes
FF8A00. This is not a CMYK to RGB issue. It happens with all
circumstances. We have used the Bridge CS3 to sync colors to NA
Web, and have made new documents from the Web template and still
the color changes. The color change isn't always consistent. If the
color is defined as a Spot it changes differently (FF9900 becomes
FF9B00).
Our current workaround is to export as SWF from Illustrator,
which preserves the colors. Any ideas on what we're doing wrong, or
if this is a limitation/bug?

Compressor: DVCPROHD 720p60
When I prep for DVD I'll use 8-bit uncompressed, but I'm just trying to get a quick proof out for preview via FTP.
"Recompress all Frames" is not checked.
Interesting thing is the colors appear to be preserved when I bring it into Compressor - they are only off in Quicktime.
Doing a compression right now, so we'll see if they are preserved in the final clip for web...

• Impossible to get ACR showing the same colors as in Bridge

Hello,
Usually my .NEF files (shot with a D90) appears with quite soft colors and contrast in Bridge. However, since yesterday, as soon as I use the magnifier (in the filmstrip mode) or open a .NEF file with ACR, the colors are warming up. I must have done something wrong and changed some settings, but I can't find what it is. Even if I leave the white balance on "as shot", and try all the camera profiles available (ACR 4.6, Adobe Standard, Camera D2X mode1, 2, 3, Camera Neutral,...), I can't get ACR showing the same colors as my preview in Bridge. I also tried the "reset camera raw defaults" function, didn't help either.
I guess that if I have the same problem when I use the magnifier in Bridge without opening the file in ACR, it is because ACR still takes action to load the full image, isn't it?
Thanks for your help,
Sam

Thanks for your answer. I'll reply point by point.
My monitors are calibrated, and I did it recently. But this is not the problem here since I can see the colors changing live on the monitor when I activate the magnifier: I click somewhere on the image with the magnifier, it takes a few seconds to load the 100% section of the image and then the colors are changing on the whole image (not only the enlarged section). Similarly, when I open the image in ACR, I can still simultaneously see the Bridge version of the image on the same monitor and they have different colors. So this shouldn't be a monitor problem.
My color settings in Photoshop (Edit>Color settings) are set on sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and set on "preserve embedded profiles". But I don't get that point, does the color setting in PS affect the colors in Brigde and ACR when PS is not open?
Bridge preferences: What would be useful to know, there are many preferences?! Here are a few that might be of some help: Cache: all unchecked; Advanced: all unchecked; Output: "convert multi-byte..." and "preserve embedded color profile" are checked
ACR preferences: all unchecked except "apply auto grayscale mix when converting to grayscale"
I didn't know how Bridge and ACR were working. But I don't understand what could have changed over the couple of days since before that, the pictures open in ACR (or zoomed in in Bridge) did look exactly the same as the preview. If none of PS, ACR or Bridge are set to apply some color corrections, where do they get this information from?
Sorry, I forgot to give the details about the softwares. I'm using CS4 (PS 11.0.2, Bridge 3.0.0.464, ACR: 5.7.0.213) on a MacOS 10.5.8.
I didn't know how to trash the Bridge preferences, so I did it and... that worked! Colors are not changing anymore. But what could it have been, how is this resetting different from the "reset camera raw defaults" function for example?
Thanks for your input, it did solve my problem. I still don't understand the few things described above though, so if you have a few minutes, it would be great if you could explain them to me.

• Calculated value and color change

I am a newbie desiging a form in Livecycle.
Have a table with some calculated fields - using formcalc.
I want to change the color of these fields based on the calculated value but I don't know how to have multiple events occurring in the one cell.
I can get it working if I put the color change script into the exit event of the cell but as it's a read only cell, the user will not be exiting the cell. I have had no luck putting the color change script elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, in full screen mode the top is cut off! I never noticed that since I always use full screen. This only happens in ACR. All other screens are fully represented. I may cut back on the height adjustment and see if I can see the top. Thanks for pointing it out, Ramon.
Back to the problem at hand, if you notice, all sliders are at -0-, and if you could look at all the adjustment panels, everything is neutral. So, what is it adjusting?
If I open a RAW file I also get the triangle, but when it disappears only the slightest change is noticeable in the histogram, and nothing in the image itself. This is true even with the .nefs tweaked.
Finally, the image 1 is correct with respect to the same file in PS. I compared the screen shot to the full image side by side, in PS. Image 2 is not. If I do a tweak in ACR then open in PS, it's not what I want to see.
This particular frame is tagged with the ACR icon in Bridge, but I have other tiffs that are not, and the same thing occurs.
FAPP, I cannot not color correct in ACR with a tiff. I do it as an .nef

• ICal Calendar Colors Changing On Their Own; iCloud Connection

AGGRAVATING PROBLEM:
Many in this forum have written recently about a problem ongoing for people with multiple iCal calendars where iCal calendar colors change "automatically" when you haven't selected those colors, or even "change back" before your eyes to some color your DIDN'T select after you select a new one. If you log into iCloud on the Web and try to change the color of certain calendars, they refuse to change. Try as you might, the color you want for your calendar won't "stick" and it is forced to be the wrong color on all your devices. In some cases, even the names of some of the calendars cannot be changed. On other calendars in your list, the colors and names will change fine.
Related symptoms: Calendars you have deleted "come back." Or, calendars you did not create yourself show up in your calendars list, such as "Calendar" or "Home" or even "Untitled." Note that the problem seems to be most prevalent with calendars with names "Home," "Work," OR either of these words in the NAME of the calendar. For instance, "Bob's Work" might get snagged (it can't be deleted without coming back or its color is stuck and "comes back").
I spent a long time on the phone with a helpful Apple senior advanced specialist on this problem today. We conducted a very large number of "experiments". Our family has two iPads, 2 iPhones, and 2 iMacs, so it was easy to rule things in or out. I will present some information that may help.
SOME OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE GOING ON:
First, Apple has not resolved this. But the problem appears to be related to iCloud, and NOT to individual devices. After de-linking all of my individual devices from iCloud, I could change any of the colors or names at will on any given device, create new calendars and then change their colors to whatever I wish, delete calendars, change names...no problem. However, after re-linking calendars to iCloud, all the problems mentioned above returned. The chances that my iMacs, iPhones, and iPads are all causing the problem independently is very low. They also have slightly different OS versions on them, so it is not likely an a particular device OS, though that could be indirectly related. Also, the colors "change back" within about the same time (usually a few seconds to up to 30 seconds) that it takes to do a "refresh" (i.e. an update) to the iCloud servers. This when iCloud is turned on, and the absence of it when iCloud is turned off (for calendars), strongly suggests that it is the iCloud server and its interaction with your devices that the fundamental cause of the problem.
Apple has said that they are aware of this problem and their engineers are working on a fix. Historically, this can mean just a few days, or it could be a few months, years, or "whenever." They don't give estimates of when it will be fixed. Exactly WHY this is happening is unclear, but my guess is that it is a modification to the iCloud server code that Apple implemented without testing it thoroughly enough to discover this problem. Apple does not admit to that, of course and I don't know if I am correct.
A WORKAROUND SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME:
Please note this is a workaround and not a full fix. Apple needs to run a patch on their iCloud server code. Until then, I did the following which seems to have worked for me for now. Read the whole list before deciding whether to proceed. I don't guarantee it will work in all situations.
Note...I found I was stuck for now with the color of ONE of my calendars. If you are like me, you want to keep that one and work around it....
Backup first... Make sure that your iCloud copy of your calendar data has the calendar event information you want to save - even if the color is wrong. Log in at www.icloud.com and do a refresh to sync to the Cloud. Check over your calendars online to make sure the event data appears to be there for all of your calendars (even if their color or name is not what you want).
Steps:
1. Go to every device that you have linked to iCloud separately. Go into Settings, iCloud, and then uncheck the "Calendars" option. This delinks your calendars for that device to iCloud. As you do this on each device, when prompted, select "Keep On My" ..iPAD...iPhone...iMac... etc. This will preserve the calendar information on the device so it won't be deleted. I think this is safer, but you can click on "Delete" if you want, too. Note - if one of your devices is an iMac, with OSX Lion and before, you may be forced (I was) to delete the iCloud calendars from the iMac. So again, make sure they are backed up to the Cloud first (or somewhere else).
3. With the iCloud Calendars Option on all your devices still turned off, go to the WEB and log into iCloud.com. You need to figure our which calendar iCloud won't let you change the color for. You probably already know. On iCloud.com, click on "Calendars," then click open your calendar list and select "EDIT" at the bottom of the dialog box. One at a time, click on the color dots next to each calendar name and try to change the color (you can put any back after the test if you want). You will probably see a certain one that just goes right back to what you don't want. This is the one for which the color is stuck, but you may be able to change the name of it now that your devices are unlinked from iCloud.
4. Still in iCloud.com, change the names and colors of any of the other calendars you wish to change. Delete any empty calendars that mysteriously appeared without your wanting them. Take note of all the calendars, names, and colors that are on the final list of calendars.
5. On EVERY device, BEFORE turning iCloud back on on ANY of them: Change the colors and/or names of calendars, delete calendars, etc. so that the calendar names and colors on the device are exactly the same as what you left in iCloud.com in the last step.
6. One at a time on each device, go back to Settings and then "iCloud" and check again the box for "Calendars." You will be asked whether you want to "MERGE" your data with iCloud. I selected MERGE to ensure I didn't lose anything. Link each device again into iCloud one at a time.
7. When each device is back, go back to iCloud on the Web, or go into iCAL on one of your devices. Set to view ALL calendars. Look for duplicates of some of your events. I found quite several as an artifact of "merging", but in my case it only took me about 5 minutes to go through quickly and delete the duplicates. It deleted the duplicates on all of the devices at once, so I only needed to delete dups on one device. I did not find that I lost any events as long as I kept one valid copy.
Again, no guarantees...hope this works for others. Good luck.

I'm getting the same thing and it's really bugging me! Keeps changing colour to one I do not want and I have tried everything to get it to stay the colour I have chosen!!

• Report row color change based on condition

I have follow this forum steps Re: Color Row In Report
Column Template 1
<td #ALIGNMENT# class="t1data" style="background-color:#ADD8E6;">#COLUMN_VALUE#

PL/SQL expression condition
'#2#' = 'BOOKED'
Column Template 2

This does color change but for some rows the colors are highlighted wrong and when i mouse over the rows , it changes to wrong color.

Hi,
t1Data and t2Data sound like standard theme css class names.
In my example, the colouring is done by the style attribute on the TD tag. For "normal" rows:
<td #ALIGNMENT# headers="#COLUMN_HEADER#" class="t18data">#COLUMN_VALUE#</td>for highlighted rows:
<td #ALIGNMENT# headers="#COLUMN_HEADER#" class="t18data" style="background-color:red;">#COLUMN_VALUE#</td>Have you defined "t1Data" and "t2Data" in STYLE tags on your page?

• Why have colors change in new update? And won't allow me to permanently change back - as they revert on their own?

My iCal calendar colors changed by themself. I have gone to "edit" and "get info" and have changed the colors back. Within minutes, they change back to the wrong color. It has now made these same changes on my iPhone 5 and iPad mini. What's going on? How do I permanently change these colors?

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

• Colors changing on my calendar

What is Apple doing about supporting its clients with information on fixing the problem of colors changing on iCal?
Is this even on their radar?

This is actually not about the colors changing. The colors change but it's because the appointments are being assigned randomly (it seems) to another calender like, Home, Work, Birthday. If you uncheck the calender it will cause the events to disappear. Check the calender again and the events reappear.
I don't know how the other calenders got turned on and how they linked to only some events. If you click on Calender in the upper right you'll see what is checked. try unchecking and see if your appointments disappear. So for Apple, please correct this issue.

• Ical calendar colors changing birthday calendar color

Okay, I've been using iCal for well perhaps ever ever since it started shipping in the OS. I'd like to be able to change the colors codes of calendars on an iPad 2 running the app. So far haven't found a place to do that. Suspecting it might be a mobileme thing. I've even tried that, nope no good. Seems like the iCal app on the iPad pulls colors from somewhere as some match others don't. I looking for a consistent look for all calendars across different devices, i.e. Ipad/iPhone/Laptop desktop version of iCal. Going to repost this same question on the iCal discussion group. Should I get a response I'll repost it here.
Thanks,

Mikael,
I also used to sync to my Palm handheld. I used The Missing Sync. I still had the problem of colors changing. But, they just changed. The colors on my iPod touch calendar don't relate at all to the colors in iCal.
Since it occasionally happened with my Palm, I don't mind having to adjust the calendars. What I don't like is that there is no way, on the iPod, to change the colors. And a few of the frequently-used calendars have ended up with the same color on my touch.
-fred
I expect that will come with time.

• Outlook 2010 Calendar Category Colors Changing

We have a user who is using Oulook 2010. He assings colors to calendar items he creates. When someone sends him a calendar appointment, he assigns it a color as well. Anywhere from immediately to about 5 minutes, the color changes on its own to a lighter
version of the assigned color. For example, he assigns an appointment to red and it's changed to the lighter red color.
His colors do not change when he creates appointments for himself. The colors do change when someone else sends him a calendar invite, from both inside and outside the organization.

Hi,
I have a few questions for you regarding your issue:
1. Can you reproduce this issue with all of your users or just this one user?
2. Does this happen with all colors (for example does blue change to light blue and so on)?
3. When the color changes does the category change also?
I look forward to your response.
